Abstract

This article discusses the role of Canva For Education in enhancing the creativity and presentation skills of students at Universitas Negeri Malang. Faced with the challenges of the global job market, the university recognizes the potential of Canva For Education as an innovative solution with features such as visual design, team collaboration, and multimedia integration. Despite implementation challenges such as integrating technology into the curriculum and data security issues, Canva For Education can provide a positive contribution to the development of students' skills. Literature reviews indicate that this platform can boost creativity through appealing visual designs, team collaboration, and the utilization of learning resources. Furthermore, Canva For Education can advance presentation skills through attractive slide designs, effective use of visualization, and consistent content design. The article concludes by affirming that Canva For Education is a valuable tool in preparing students for the demands of the increasingly visually-oriented global job market

Abstract

The Canva for Education training at SDN Bandungrejosari 2 Malang aims to enhance teachers' abilities to create innovative and interactive learning media. This training is essential because many teachers struggle to create engaging and relevant media using modern technology. The training uses the design thinking method, which includes the stages of Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. The participants of the training are teachers from SDN Bandungrejosari 2 Malang. Data is collected through surveys, interviews, and observations and then analyzed descriptively. The training results show a significant improvement in teachers' ability to use Canva to create effective learning media. Teachers can identify learning needs, generate creative ideas, and produce engaging and interactive learning media prototypes. Feedback from students indicates that the media created successfully increased their participation and motivation to learn. In conclusion, this training successfully enhanced teachers' technical skills and creativity in using modern design tools and improved the quality of learning at SDN Bandungrejosari 2 Malang.

Abstract

Artikel ini membandingkan pendekatan pendidikan vokasional di Indonesia dan Jepang, khususnya dalam konteks pelatihan guru vokasional. Sementara Indonesia fokus pada penggabungan teori dan praktik dengan upaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan vokasional melalui kerjasama internasional seperti dengan Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) di industri otomotif, Jepang menonjol melalui pendekatan eksperiential, lesson study, dan pembelajaran aktif yang menekankan peningkatan keterampilan praktis sesuai dengan kebutuhan industri. Dalam kedua negara, kolaborasi antara pemerintah, universitas, dan industri berperan penting dalam memastikan guru-guru vokasional memiliki keterampilan relevan dengan dunia kerja, sambil memperhatikan pengembangan kemandirian dan peningkatan kualitas pengajaran. Studi ini memberikan wawasan tentang praktik terbaik dalam pelatihan guru vokasional dan menyoroti area-area yang perlu ditingkatkan, memberikan kontribusi berharga untuk pengembangan pendidikan vokasional global dan persiapan siswa menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja yang terus berkembang.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the interconnection between gender equality, education, and the workforce of Generation Z in Japan, South Korea, and Indonesia, focusing on their roles in sustainable development. With rapid technological advancement and globalization, Generation Z is expected to be the primary driver of future labor markets. However, challenges related to gender inequality, education gaps, and labor market readiness persist in these countries. This paper reviews recent literature to identify existing research gaps, particularly the lack of comprehensive studies integrating gender equality, education, and workforce development within the framework of sustainable development. Previous studies have focused on individual aspects, but there is limited research that holistically examines these factors across multiple countries with differing socio-economic contexts. By employing a qualitative approach, this study analyzes secondary data, government reports, and interviews with experts to examine how gender equality, educational access, and workforce preparedness can contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals in these three nations. The research hypothesis suggests that inclusive education and stronger gender equality policies will improve the workforce readiness of Generation Z, ultimately accelerating sustainable development in Japan, South Korea, and Indonesia. The findings of this study aim to provide actionable policy recommendations to promote gender equity, educational inclusivity, and labor market readiness, thereby enhancing the long-term sustainability of these countries.

Abstract

The objectives of this research: 1) produce a product in the form of explosion box media; 2) analyze the suitability of the explosion box media; 3) analyze the effectiveness of the explosion box media. This Development Research or RD uses Sugiyono's development model, the stages it goes through include: 1. potential and problems; 2. data collection; 3. product design; 4.design validation; 5. design revision; 6. product testing, and 7. product revision. The research subjects were media experts and material experts who acted as validators, as well as language experts, with one expert each and 30 respondents aged between 7 and 13 years who lived in Kampoeng Heritage Kajoetangan Malang. Data collection uses questionnaires and assessment sheets from material experts, language experts and media experts to evaluate how effective the explosion box media is. Produce: 1) explosion box media getting to know the Kampoeng Heritage Culinary of Kajoetangan Malang; 2) the explosion box media recognizes that the Kampoeng Heritage Kajoetangan Malang Culinary is suitable for use, this is in accordance with the results of validation by material experts who gave a score of 87.5%, media experts 88.6%, and language experts 84.3%; 3.) shows the effectiveness of the explosion box media to get to know the culinary delights of Kampoeng Heritage Kajoetangan Malang which was tested using a validity test and a reliability test which showed a result of 0.755 which means reliable.

Abstract

The disparity between Engineering Education and the imperative for English language proficiency remains significant. Frequently, engineering students exhibit a deficiency in practical English skills, particularly in English for Specific Purposes (ESP), a necessity for their forthcoming careers or advanced pursuits. In response to this challenge, this study seeks to carry out a need analysis of the English language within the domain of Automotive Engineering Education. Executed as a literature review, the study meticulously examines pertinent journals and scholarly texts on ESP. Additionally, it incorporates interviews with English language professors at the tertiary level to ascertain appropriate English language content suitable for inclusion in Automotive Engineering Education curricula. By drawing upon the analytical framework of Basturkmen and Dudley-Evans' Need Analysis, in conjunction with the methodology of St John & Saint John, the research delineates and assesses these identified needs within the context of Automotive Engineering Education programs. Abstract

Based on the phenomenon that occurs in the field, the world of work requires graduates who not only graduate with high grades but also have strong communication skills, honesty and the ability to cooperate with others. Interpersonal communication is needed for work readiness for everyone who will continue in the world of work, especially in the field of education. One of them is teachers, because the interpersonal communication that teachers use tends to produce relationships that are able to influence each other. In general, this study aims to analyze the effect of interpersonal communication on Faculty of Engineering students on work readiness to become teachers. The type of research is quantitative through survey methods and data collection techniques through purposive sampling. The results of hypothesis analysis obtained Sig value. variable X is 0.000 <0.05 and thus the conclusion is Ha accepted and Ho rejected. The results generally found the influence of interpersonal communication (X) on job readiness to become a teacher (Y). Furthermore, the t table is obtained which is worth 2.352 and has a significance of a = 5%. The reference is t count> t table (5.338> 2.352), thus the conclusion is that there is a positive influence of interpersonal communication on job readiness to become a teacher.

Abstract

This study investigates stress and emotion management strategies among teachers in Japanese and Indonesian state schools, focusing on how cultural factors and emotional intelligence influence coping mechanisms. Using a qualitative literature review, the research synthesizes findings from studies published over the last decade. The analysis identifies key themes, including the distinct cultural approaches of each country. Japanese teachers predominantly employ structured professional development and mindfulness practices, reflecting cultural values of self-discipline and emotional control. Conversely, Indonesian teachers rely on community-based support and spirituality, rooted in their communal and religious traditions. The findings highlight the central role of emotional intelligence in managing stress, improving resilience, and fostering effective teaching practices in both settings. Challenges such as high workloads, student discipline, and the rapid shift to online teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic underscore the need for robust coping strategies. The study concludes that culturally tailored interventions, such as mindfulness training for Japanese teachers and community-based workshops for Indonesian teachers, are essential for enhancing teacher well-being and effectiveness. Policymakers and educators should prioritize emotional intelligence development and supportive school environments to address these challenges comprehensively

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya efisiensi pencacahan pakan yang masih dilakukan secara manual oleh peternak kambing di Desa Wonosari, Kabupaten Kediri, yang berdampak pada penurunan produktivitas kerja dan kualitas konsumsi pakan ternak. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini menerapkan teknologi tepat guna berupa mesin pencacah pakan Chopper Master sebagai solusi mekanisasi pakan yang kontekstual. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei kebutuhan mitra, observasi lapangan, dan wawancara dengan peternak. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi kuesioner evaluatif dan panduan observasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif terhadap hasil kuesioner dan deskriptif kualitatif terhadap hasil observasi dan wawancara. Prosedur pelaksanaan mencakup rancang bangun mesin, pelatihan teknis, demonstrasi, serta pendampingan intensif selama enam kali kunjungan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan efisiensi waktu pencacahan pakan lebih dari 60% dibandingkan metode manual. Peternak juga menunjukkan kemandirian dalam pengoperasian alat, dan terbentuk sistem rotasi penggunaan alat antaranggota kelompok. Respons mitra menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan tinggi terhadap efektivitas alat dan keberhasilan proses pendampingan. Selain itu, kegiatan ini memunculkan konsep baru berupa mekanisasi kontekstual dan modifikasi teori adopsi teknologi yang mempertimbangkan variabel sosial lokal, yang dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain untuk mendukung keberlanjutan peternakan rakyat.

Abstract

Pelatihan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) merupakan salah satu intervensi strategis untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru produktif dalam mengelola lingkungan praktik yang aman dan sesuai standar industri di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan dan dampak pelatihan K3 bagi guru di SMK Sore Tulungagung, Jawa Timur. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif berbasis kebutuhan mitra dengan kombinasi teori dan praktik melalui ceramah, diskusi kasus, dan simulasi penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) serta alat pemadam api ringan (APAR). Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam aspek manajemen keselamatan kerja. Keberhasilan pelatihan juga didukung oleh kolaborasi aktif antara tim pengabdian, pihak sekolah, dan pemangku kepentingan lain. Program ini selaras dengan teori manajemen keselamatan, pedagogi vokasional, dan regulasi Permenaker No. 5 Tahun 2018. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan K3 yang terstruktur dan kontekstual efektif dalam membentuk budaya keselamatan di lingkungan pendidikan vokasi. Diharapkan program ini dapat direplikasi dan dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan untuk memperkuat kesiapan guru dan siswa dalam menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja.
