Abstract

Gizi seimbang merupakan Susunan pangan sehari-hari yang mengandung zat gizi dalam jenis dan jumlah yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan tubuh, dengan memperhatikan prinsip keanekaragaman pangan, aktivitas fisik, perilaku hidup bersih dan memantau berat badan secara teratur dalam rangka mempertahankan berat badan normal untuk mencegah masalah gizi. Kegiatan penyuluhan tentang gizi seimbang memiliki tujuan untuk memberikan dan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa-siswi mengenai pentingnya penerapan gizi seimbang pada anak usia sekolah dasar dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pelaksanaan kegiatan penyuluhan gizi seimbang dan Pemberian PMT yang diadakan pada SD Inpres Tarus II dapat memberikan manfaat yang besar bagi siswa-siswi dalam pemahaman asupan gizi yang seimbang. Melalui kegiatan ini siswa siswi dapat mengetahui asupan gizi yang seharusnya di konsumsi sesuai dengan usia dan kondisi tubuhnya. Anak-anak yang sejak dini di ajarkan atau di beri pemahaman mengenai gizi seimbang akan berpengaruh terhadap kondisi tubuh dan menjadi pondasi untuk kedepannya dalam memperhatikan asupan makanan yang masuk dalam tubuh, siswa-siswi juga dapat memilah-milah makanan yang baik untuk tubuh mereka karena sudah memiliki pemahaman yang sudah di dapat sebelumnya

Abstract

Stunting merupakan salah satu kondisi gagal tumbuh pada anak balita (bawah lima Tahun), akibat kekurangan gizi secara kronis dan infeksi berulang terutama pada 1000 Hari Pertama Kehidupan (1000 HPK). Permasalah utama oleh mitra adalah ibu baduta dan kader Posyandu Kelurahan Oesapa Barat, bahwa terdapat 269 balita dan 132 anak balita yang dinyatakan stunting. Dari 132 anak balita tersebut terdapat 40 anak baduta yang dinyatakan stunting.Semua ibu baduta yang anaknya beurmur 6-24 bulan dan kader posyandu sudah mendapat edukasi pemberian makan bayi dan anak (PMBA) berbasis pangan lokqal. Metode Kegiatan ini merupakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan skema kemitraan masyarakat dimana yang menjadi mitranya adalah orang tua baduta dan kader posyandu. Artinya Skema Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) adalah program PKM yang bermitra dengan masyarakat di bidang Kesehatan. Adapun tujuan khusus dalam penelitian ini adalah: Melakukan pengukuran antropometri baduta, mengetahui karakteristik social ekonomi keluarga baduta (4-24 bulan), meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan ibu baduta dalam menyiapkan makanan untuk anak dengan konsep PMBA, Meningkatkan status gizi baduta Hasil: Setelah dilakukan edukasi dan demo PMBA pengetahuan gizi ibu baduta mengalami peningkatan yakni rata-rata menjadi 59.3 dengan nilai terrendah 26.7 dan nilai tertinggi sebesar 90. Besarnya kenaikan nilai rata-rata skor pengetahuan gizi ibu sebesar 18.18 poin

Abstract

One of the indirect causes of preventable maternal and child mortality is the health status of pregnant women. Pregnant women with SEZ conditions are at risk of experiencing decreased muscle strength, which is needed in the process of labor so that it can result in fetal death, premature birth, birth defects, low birth weight babies, short birth babies and even infant death. The design used is quantitative with a cross sectional approach with univariate and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test. The population of this study were all pregnant women who did pregnancy checks at the Puskesmas in Kupang City in 2022. Sample technique using purposive sampling technique. This study was conducted from January to December 2022. The results showed that of all pregnant women who were given nutrition education in the form of counseling and provision of additional food, most experienced weight gain. In contrast to the increase in LiLA, although there is a change in the size of LiLA after being given education, there are still pregnant women who do not experience changes in LiLA. The statistical test results obtained a p-value <0.005, which means that there is a relationship between the provision of nutrition education and the improvement of the nutritional status of pregnant women with SEZ. It is expected for health workers to carry out special monitoring of pregnant women at risk of SEZ in conducting health checks and consuming additional nutritionally balanced foods.

Abstract

Background. Child's growth and development are determined by the condition of the fetus in the womb and the nutritional intake of the mother during pregnancy. Mothers with less food intake during pregnancy will experience growth disorders and Low Birth Weight (LBW). Purpose. The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between omega-3 fatty acid intake, nutritional status of third trimester pregnant women and the incidence of low birth weight in Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province. Method. This type of research is an observational analytic research with a cohort approach. This research was conducted from January to March 2019. Samples were selected by purposive sampling of 109 research subjects. The data were collected using the SQ-FFQ questionnaire and Form Recall and analyzed using the chi-square test with a degree of confidence of 95% (α = 0.05). Result. There is a relationship between omega-3 fatty acid intake and low birth weight (p = 0.045; RR = 2.060; 95% CI 0.970 - 4.373) and there is a relationship between nutritional status of the third trimester pregnant women and low birth weight (p = 0,000; RR = .17,931; 95% CI 6,844 - 46,978). Conclusion. Pregnant women with deficient omega-3 fatty acids intake are 2 times more likely to give birth to low birth weight babies. Pregnant women with CED are 17.9 times more likely to give birth to babies with low birth weight. Keywords: omega-3, nutritional status, LBW

Abstract

Kualitas hidup individu dapat dilihat dari kesehatannya. Gangguan kesehatan dapat terjadi pada semua usia, terutama lebih rentan pada balita karena sistem imun balita masih dalam proses perkembangan. Gangguan kesehatan yang sering terjadi di dunia adalah terjadinya masalah gizi baik gizi kurus maupun gemuk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan, perilaku gizi ibu, dan status gizi balita di Desa Fatukanutu, Kabupaten Kupang. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Fatukanutu, Kecamatan Amabi Oefeto, Kabupaten Kupang pada bulan September sampai Desember 2019. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi cross sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 60 balita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lebih banyak balita gizi baik (88.33%) dibandingkan balita wasting (11.67%). Ibu yang berpengetahuan baik lebih banyak memiliki balita wasting dibandingkan ibu yang berpengetahuan gizi kurang. Lebih banyak ibu berperilaku gizi baik memiliki balita wasting. Peningkatan pengetahuan gizi dan penerapan perilaku gizi ibu perlu dilakukan secara terus-menerus oleh semua pihak demi peningkatan status gizi balita.

Abstract

Background: Nutritional Disorders in toddlers can be affected by several factors, both directly and indirectly. Several factors are maternal characteristics. This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal characteristics and nutritional status of children under five in Baumata Timur. Methods: The study used a descriptive analytic method with cross sectional, population 952. Sampling used Proportional Stratified Random Sampling. Data were collected by using physical measurements and questionnaires. The sample is 43 people. Data analysis used Spearman rank correlation. Results: There is a relationship between the mother's education with infant nutritional status (p = 0.000). There is a relationship between mother parity with nutrition status (p = 0.000). There is a relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers about nutrition with nutritional status (p = 0.000). Conclusion: There is a relationship between education, parity, and the level of knowledge of mothers about nutrition with nutritional status of children. Abstract

Data distribusi melaporkan bahwa 1 dari tiga anak di negara sedang berkembang mengalami stunting dan 70 % berada pada benua Asia. Pemberian MP-ASI disaat usia dibawah 6 bulan akan mempengaruhi usus dari pencernaan bayi dan akan bisa menimbulkan bayi diare. Dalam pemberian MP ASI, yang perlu diperhatikan adalah usia pemberian MP ASI, frekuensi dalam pemberian MP ASI, porsi dalam pemberian MP ASI, jenis MP ASI, dan cara pemberian MP ASI pada tahap awal. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh riwayat ASI, MP ASI, terhadap status gizi balita (TB/U) Pasca Pandemi Covid-19 Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Naioni Kota Kupang. Penelitian ini adalah desain Cros sectional Study. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh ibu yang mempunyai anak balita yang berjumlah 40 orang dan dijadikan sebagai sampel. Analisis data dengan menggunakan analisis regresi logistik. Hasil uji statistic menunjukkan bahwa menunjukkan hasil nilai t hitung lebih kecil dari t tabel (0.019 <2.032244) dan nilai probabilitas lebih besar dari tingkat signifikannya (0.890 > 0.05). Berdasarkan hasil pengujian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa H1 yang menyatakan usia MP ASI berpengaruh terhadap status gizi balita berdasarkan indicator TB/U ditolak. Hal ini dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa usia MP ASI tidak berpengaruh terhadap status gizi balita berdasarkan indikator TB/U.Berdasarkan hasil pengujian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa H2 yang menyatakan berat badan lahir berpengaruh terhadap status gizi balita berdasarkan indicator TB/U ditolak. Hal ini dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa berat badan lahir tidak berpengaruh terhadap status gizi balita berdasarkan indikator TB/U.

Abstract

Various efforts to support the national food security program are carried out to maximize the production and consumption of local food sources of non-rice and non-wheat carbohydrates, which are the government's priorities, especially in the field of diversification. The current effort to diversify food consumption is not only to provide diverse and nutritious food, but has begun to develop to the consideration of health benefits. One of the abundant agricultural ingredients is banana kepok. This study aims to determine the nutritional and organoleptic values ​​of kepok banana flour and purple sweet potato nuggets. This type of research is an experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 levels of treatment, namely A0, A1, A2, and A3. Treatment A0 used the standard recipe for nuggets and 3 (three) other treatments were substitution of banana kepok flour and purple sweet potato flour with the ratio of banana kepok flour: purple sweet potato flour: wheat flour was A1 40%:30%:30%, A2 50%: 25%:25%, and A3 60%:20%:20%. The nugget formula was then tested for macronutrient value and acceptability assessment (assessment of color, aroma, texture, and taste). The results obtained showed that the organoleptic characteristics of the kepok banana flour substituted purple sweet potato nuggets include taste, texture, aroma and color in both treatments A0, A1, A2 and A3 ranging from like to very like. And the most preferred nutritional value of kepok banana flour nuggets substituted with purple sweet potato flour is treatment (A1) with macronutrient content of gross carbohydrates 86.82%, protein 9.36% and fat 3.55%

Abstract

Adolescence is a period of very rapid change, both in terms of physical changes and changes in attitudes and behavior.Nutritional needs are one of the factors that affect the development of a teenager.Suboptimal nutrition will affect health and increase the risk of infectious and non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular disease (heart and blood vessel disease, hypertension and stroke), diabetes and cancer which are the main causes of death in Indonesia.This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and nutrient intake with the nutritional status of students at SMAN 12 Kupang City.This study aims to identify the relationship between knowledge and nutrient intake with the nutritional status of students at SMAN 12 Kupang City. This type of research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design. Based on the results of the Chi-Square test, it shows that there is no relationship between knowledge and nutritional status of students (p = 0.209), there is no relationship between energy intake and nutritional status of students (p = 0.573), there is no relationship between protein intake and nutritional status. students (p = 0.317), there is a relationship between fat intake and the nutritional status of students (p = 0.012), there is no relationship between carbohydrate intake and the nutritional status of students (p = 0.538), there is no relationship between vitamin A intake and student nutritional status (p = 0.538). p = 0.626), there is no relationship between nutrient intake and nutritional status of students (p = 0.202).

Abstract

Adolescence is the stage of life that is between puberty and full maturity. This is also the time when a person matures physically from childhood to adulthood. A healthy diet must be followed to obtain good nutritional status through food consumption. The aim of a diet is to control the amount and type of food consumed in order to maintain nutritional status, improve health, and avoid or help treat disease. Lack of physical activity can cause excess weight. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between eating habits, physical activity and nutritional status. Cross-sectional research with quantitative analysis is the type of research used. From the research results, it was found that the age distribution of teenagers with the highest frequency was 19 years old with a frequency of 66 people (44.9%), the distribution of food types in the moderate category with the highest frequency was 147 people (100.0%), the distribution of the frequency of eating in the moderate category with the highest frequency. 147 people (100.0), the physical activity category with the highest frequency was light activity 138 people (93.9%), the distribution of body mass index categories with the highest frequency was Normal weight 88 people (59.9%), and upper arm circumference with the highest frequency was the Normal category, 79 people (53.7%). From the results of this study, there was no relationship between diet and physical activity and nutritional status.
