Abstract

Early childhood is one of the most vulnerable groups during disasters, yet disaster education at this level is often overlooked. This lack of early preparedness can increase risks when emergencies such as earthquakes occur. To address this problem, this study developed a disaster learning model for early childhood that integrates disaster risk reduction into a contextual and enjoyable learning process. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), the research was conducted at TK Putra Kaili Permata Bangsa in Palu, involving 27 children aged 5–6 years. The model was designed through a play-based approach using child-friendly media such as videos, songs, storytelling, and a modified snakes-and-ladders game, structured in three stages: pre-play, during play, and post-play. Expert validation of instructional design, content, media, and language indicated high feasibility, with most aspects scoring above 80%. Effectiveness testing revealed significant improvements in children’s disaster preparedness across six key aspects, with N-Gain scores ranging from 0.59 to 0.74. These findings highlight the importance of introducing disaster education in early childhood, as the model not only strengthens safety and resilience but also offers a participatory and enjoyable strategy for disaster mitigation learning.

Abstract

Guru PAUD di Kota Palu masih menghadapi tantangan dalam mengimplementasikan strategi pembelajaran yang mendukung deep learning. Sebagian besar guru masih menggunakan metode konvensional yang menekankan hafalan, sehingga kurang mendorong eksplorasi, pemecahan masalah, dan berpikir kritis anak. Permasalahan utama yang diidentifikasi adalah rendahnya pemahaman guru tentang strategi pembelajaran berbasis deep learning dan keterbatasan dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang interaktif dan bermakna. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru PAUD dalam merancang dan melaksanakan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada deep learning. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui survei kebutuhan, penyusunan modul, pelatihan berbasis blended learning, simulasi pembelajaran, serta pendampingan implementasi di kelas. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kompetensi guru. Berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test, pemahaman guru terhadap konsep deep learning meningkat dari 32% menjadi 85%, kemampuan merancang RPPH berbasis deep learning meningkat dari 28% menjadi 80%, keterampilan mengelola kelas interaktif meningkat dari 35% menjadi 82%, dan kemampuan refleksi pembelajaran meningkat dari 30% menjadi 78%. Selain itu, tersusun modul pembelajaran inovatif yang dapat digunakan secara berkelanjutan, serta terbentuk komunitas fasilitator yang siap mendiseminasikan praktik terbaik kepada lembaga PAUD lainnya di Kota Palu. Dengan demikian, program ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran anak usia dini sekaligus mendukung terwujudnya generasi kreatif, adaptif, dan kritis sejak dini.

Abstract

The low level of children's independence is the background of this study. To increase independence, a positive reinforcement strategy is applied as a method of forming consistent positive behavior and character. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of positive reinforcement on the independence of early childhood. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The subjects consisted of 16 children, namely 9 girls and 7 boys in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Data processing was carried out using the Paired Sample T Test analysis which was carried out with the help of the SPSS Statistics IMB program. The results of the research findings, there is a significance value of .000, because the significance value of the T-Test <0.05 (.000 <0.05), then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. In addition, there was an increase in the level of children's independence after being given treatment, which was seen from three aspects observed. In the initiative aspect, such as tidying up stationery by giving it a star symbol, there was an increase in the category (BSB) from 0% to 31%, category (BSH) from 19% to 31%, while category (MB) decreased from 56% to 38%, and category (BB) decreased from 25% to 0%. In the aspect of responsibility observed through the approach to children, the BSB category increased from 0% to 31%, BSH from 25% to 38%, and MB decreased from 75% to 31%. While in the aspect of self-control which was strengthened through giving praise, the BSB category increased from 0% to 25%. roviding various positive reinforcements that vary makes children feel appreciated so that it can attract children's attention to carry out independent actions continuously.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between parenting styles and the social behavior of children aged 5-6 years at TK Kelurahan Tavanjuka, Palu City. The sample consisted of 25 children selected purposively. The research used a quantitative correlational approach with data collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Results showed that 32% of parents applied an authoritarian style, 24% democratic, and 44% permissive. Regarding children’s social behavior, 8% were categorized as Very Well Developed (BSB), 25.33% as Well Developed (BSH), 49.33% as Developing (MB), and 17.33% as Not Yet Developed (BB). Children with authoritarian parenting exhibited high discipline and responsibility but low independence. In contrast, the democratic style optimally supported all three aspects, while permissive parenting was associated with lower discipline and responsibility. Spearman’s correlation analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between parenting styles and children’s social behavior (r = 0.511; p = 0.001), indicating that better parenting styles correspond to better social behavior in children. These findings emphasize the importance of balanced and responsive parenting to support early childhood social development.

Abstract

This study discusses the problem of inadequate development in recognizing Hijaiyah letters. The purpose of this study is to find out the effectiveness of magic card games for young children in recognizing Hijaiyah letters. The research method used is quantitative, in particular, experimental studies. The subjects consisted of 13 children, 7 boys and 6 gils, from Group B1 of the Samporoa Pembina State Kindergarten. Data collection techniques include observation, documentation, and interviews. Based on the recapitulation of the initial and final observations regarding the ability to recognize the last Hijaiyah before and after the intervention, the category of "Very Well Developed" (BSB), increased from 0% to 30.76%, while the category "Not Developed" (BB), decreased from 46.15% to 0%. In addition, the BSB category increased from 0% to 15.38%, and BB decreased from 53.84% to 0% in the aspect of compiling Hijaiyah letters. In the aspect of pronouncing Hijaiyah letters, the BSB category increased from 7.6% to 38.46%, while BB decreased from 23.7% to 0%. This implies the positive effect of the magic card game on the ability to recognize Hijaiyah letters among early childhood students in Group B1 of the Samporoa Pembina State Kindergarten.

Abstract

Introduction to culture is believed to be one of the important learning contents for early childhood because it is part of the foundation of the formation of a child's identity. Introduction to culture also becomes more relevant and important to prepare children as members of society and their culture in the development period. This type of research uses the type of development research or Research and Development (R&D). The development research in this study is to produce an animated video media based on local wisdom. The learning media developed aims to be an alternative media in introducing Buol cultural values to children. This development research was conducted to produce an animated video media product based on local wisdom in introducing Buol cultural values to early childhood, where this research was only conducted in Group B of Aba XVII Kindergarten, Matinan Village, Gadung District. The application of Local Wisdom-Based Animated Videos in Introducing Buol Crocodile Values applied in this study is to introduce Local Wisdom-Based Animated Videos in Introducing Buol Cultural Values to students. Introducing Buol culture that will be introduced to children, asking children whether they have ever seen Buol culture as shown in the video slide.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah minat belajar anak yang belum berkembang sesuai harapan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Media Gambar Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Anak di Kelompok B Tk Al- Khairaat Balamoa Kecamatan Dolo Barat Kabupaten Sigi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelompok B Tk Al-Khairaat Balamoa Kecamatan Dolo Barat Kabupaten Sigi. Subyek penelitian berjumlah 15 anak, terdiri dari 5 anak laki-laki dan 10 anak perempuan, terdaftar pada tahun 2021/2022. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. pengolahan data menggunakan teknik presentase uji-t. Hasil analilis data sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan media gambar, terdapat 6 anak (40%) dalam kategori ST, ada 8 anak (53,33%) kategori T, terdapat 1 anak (6,67%) dalam kategori S, dan tidak terdapat anak dalam kategori R. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji-t, di peroleh nilai thitung ≥ ttable nilai (- 15,401> 1,76131 ) maka dapat di simpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, berarti terdapat pengaruh media gambar dengan motivasi belajar anak dikelompok B Tk Al-Khairaat Balamoa Kecamatan Dolo Barat Kabupaten Sigi

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini merupakan tahap penting dalam membentuk potensi dasar anak, termasuk kecerdasan naturalis yang berhubungan dengan kemampuan mengenali, mengklasifikasi, dan berinteraksi dengan alam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh metode pembelajaran berbasis proyek terhadap pengembangan kecerdasan naturalis pada anak usia 5–6 tahun. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental tipe one group pretest–posttest. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar observasi yang mencakup pemahaman cara menanam bunga, kemampuan mengenali jenis bunga, dan keterlibatan dalam merawat tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan anak setelah mengikuti pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Anak lebih antusias dalam berpartisipasi, menunjukkan pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai proses menanam, lebih mampu membedakan berbagai jenis bunga, serta lebih aktif dalam merawat tanaman. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa metode proyek memberikan kontribusi penting dalam stimulasi kecerdasan naturalis melalui pengalaman belajar langsung, serta menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang relevan untuk mendukung perkembangan anak usia dini secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

The problem in this study lies in children's literacy skills. This study aims to determine the development of busy book learning media in improving the literacy skills of children in Group B. This study was conducted at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal V Kindergarten with the research subjects being children in Group B1. The method used in this study was Research and Development (R&D) to determine (1) the development of busy book learning media in improving literacy skills, and (2) the effectiveness of busy book media in improving literacy skills. Based on the assessment of media and language experts, it was tested on children in group B1. The model used in research and development was the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). According to the assessment of media experts, the score was 91.6% with a category of highly valid, and the assessment of language experts showed 95.8% with a category of highly valid. After testing the children in three aspects, namely vocabulary, answering questions, and retelling stories, the results showed that the Busy Book Learning Media in Improving Literacy Skills was deemed feasible with a category of highly valid and could improve the literacy skills of children in Group B aged 5-6 years.

Abstract

Early childhood is known as the golden age, during which moral, social, and emotional aspects grow rapidly; therefore, appropriate and engaging learning methods are required. Singing was chosen as a learning approach that combines joy and meaningful spiritual learning for children. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of religious values through singing activities and to analyze the improvement in children’s religious behavior after participation. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method involving 15 children aged 5–6 years (8 boys and 7 girls) at TK Raudhathul Athfal Soulowe, Sigi Regency. Data were collected through observation and documentation. The learning process was carried out in an enjoyable classroom atmosphere using religious-themed songs such as gerakan berwudhu, gerakan sholat, and berdoa sebelum dan sesudah berkegiatan. These songs were accompanied by simple movements to help children understand and internalize the meanings. The results showed a significant improvement in children’s religious behavior, particularly in performing ablution, prayer movements, and daily prayers. By the fourth week, 33.33% of the children reached the “Very Well Developed” category and 60% were “Developing as Expected.” Overall, singing proved to be an effective and enjoyable method for instilling religious values in early childhood education.
