Abstract

Abstract.Integrated Community Service (PKM) is a form of service that accommodates a series of activities as a whole. Assistance in making RPP independent learning in a cultural context on geometry material for teachers of SMP, SMA and SMK in Pagar Alam. The purpose of this service activity is to assist teachers in designing appropriate independent learning lesson plans through the use of cultural contexts, especially on geometry material. The participants of the integrated PKM activity consisted of 49 people but at the time of mentoring it was only attended by 28 participants. The service activity was carried out for 2 days, on October 5-6, 2021. The methods used during this mentoring activity were the method of presentation, discussion, interactive question and answer, and recitation. The data collection technique used a questionnaire/questionnaire given through a google form consisting of an activity evaluation questionnaire and a participant satisfaction questionnaire for all integrated PKM activities. The results of this service activity showed that 73.48% of the participants had understood the material presented by the resource person. In addition, participants stated that this activity was useful for them, especially in making RPP independent in learning to use certain contexts.  Abstrak.Guru professional ‘Merdeka Belajar’ diharapkan dapat mengembangan kemampuan professional guru yang saling membelajarkan bagi guru-guru Sekolah Menengah melalui komunitas belajar yang dilakukan secara berkolaborasi. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah mengetahui kemampuan guru Sekolah Menengah dari pelatihan program guru profesional ‘Merdeka Belajar’ melalui Collaborative Learning bagi guru Sekolah Menengah melalui MGMP Kota Pagar Alam. Peserta kegiatan PKM terintegrasi terdiri dari 66 orang guru mata pelajaran Matematika dan Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris. Pada Tanggal 5-6 Oktober 2021 dilakukan pelatihan dengan metode yang digunakan selama kegiatan adalah penyuluhan, tanya jawab intyeraktif, dan pembimbingan. Dengan menggunakan tes dan angket kepuasan melalui google form adalah teknik pengumpulan data yang diberikan kepada seluruh kegiatan PKM terintegrasi. Hasil dari pelatihan yang telah diberikan menunjukkan dari hasil tes 73% peserta telah dapat memahami semua materi yang telah diberikan dan dari hasil angket, menunjukkan sangat puas terhadap kegiatan pelatihan yang telah diberikan. Hal ini menunjukkanbahwa kegiatan pelatihan yang telah diberikan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan professional guru yang saling membelajarkan bagi guru-guru Sekolah Menengah.  activities as a whole. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang terintegrasi merupakan sebuah bentuk pengabdian yang mengakomodir serangkaian kegiatan secara keseluruhan. Pendampingan pembuatan RPP merdeka belajar berkonteks budaya pada materi geometri bagi guru SMP, SMA dan SMK di Pagar Alam. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah membantu guru dalam merancang aktivitas pmebelajaran merdeka belajar yang sesuai melalui penggunaan konteks budaya terutama pada materi geometri. Peserta kegiatan PKM terintegrasi terdiri dari 49 orang tapi pada saat pendampingan hanya dihadiri oleh 28 orang peserta. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan selama 2 hari yaitu pada tanggal 5-6 Oktober 2021. Metode yang digunakan selama kegiatan pendampingan ini adalah metode presentasi, diskusi, tanya jawab interaktif, dan resitasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket/ kuesioner yang diberikan melalui google form yang terdiri dari angket evaluasi kegiatan dan angket kepuasan peserta terhadapa seluruh kegiatan PKM terintegrasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa adalah 73,48% peserta telah memahami materi yang disampaikan oleh narasumber. Di samping itu, peserta menyatakan bahwa kegiatan ini bermanfaat bagi mereka terutama dalam membuat aktivitas pembelajaran merdeka belajar menggunakan konteks tertentu.

Abstract

Understanding the concept of whole number operations, especially addition and subtraction, is an important basis in mathematics that must be mastered by students. However, many students still experience difficulties in understanding the material, especially in more complex operations. This study aims to analyze students' concept understanding ability on whole number operation material by applying the demonstration method. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, involving 26 students of class VII.A at Srijaya Negara Junior High School Palembang as research subjects. Data was collected through written tests consisting of five description questions and interviews to explore students' understanding more deeply. The results showed that 47.62% of students scored in the high category, 14.28% in the medium category, and 38.09% in the low category, with an average score of 59.05 which indicates understanding in the medium category. The application of the demonstration method, in which students actively participated by walking on the marked tiles, proved to increase students' enthusiasm and provide a more memorable learning experience. Nonetheless, the proportion of students in the low category indicates the need for more attention in the learning process. This study concludes that the demonstration method is effective in improving concept understanding, but needs to be balanced with additional approaches to support students who have difficulty in understanding integer operation material.

Abstract

Teknologi digital yaitu GeoGebra dalam pembelajaran matematika dapat dijadikan media untuk memberikan visualisasi objek-objek geometri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengukur motivasi belajar siswa generasi Alpha pada pembelajaran Geometri Transformasi dengan menggunakan GeoGebra. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 22 siswa di sebuah sekolah menengah swasta. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket yang mengukur empat indikator motivasi belajar: (1) perhatian siswa terhadap pembelajaran, (2) relevansi materi dengan kebutuhan siswa, (3) keyakinan siswa terhadap kemampuan mereka dalam menyelesaikan tugas, dan (4) kepuasan siswa terhadap proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil angket, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran Geometri berbantuan GeoGebra mampu mendorong motivasi belajar Geometri siswa Generasi Alpha hingga terkategori tinggi, yakni sebesar 78,13%. Digital technology, such as GeoGebra, can be utilized as a medium to provide visualizations of geometric objects in mathematics learning. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach aimed at measuring the learning motivation of Generation Alpha students in Transformation Geometry learning using GeoGebra. The research subjects consisted of 22 students from a private high school. Data were collected through a questionnaire measuring four indicators of learning motivation: (1) students' attention to the learning process, (2) the relevance of the material to students' needs, (3) students' confidence in their ability to complete tasks, and (4) students' satisfaction with the learning process. Based on the questionnaire results, it was concluded that GeoGebra-assisted Geometry learning successfully enhanced the learning motivation of Generation Alpha students to a high category, achieving a percentage of 78.13%.

Abstract

Background: This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to enhance the reasoning and proof competencies of Mathematics teachers in Prabumulih City through training in the use of Geometer's Sketchpad software. An initial survey identified that many teachers had a negative perception of mathematical proof, felt difficulty in constructing proofs, and lacked the use of technology in teaching. Methods: The training was conducted in a hybrid format, combining face-to-face and online methods, with an emphasis on interactive approaches. Result: The results showed a significant increase in teachers' understanding of mathematical concepts and their ability to construct proofs. Approximately 90% of teachers stated that evidence-based learning improves the quality of education. Although progress was made, additional training is still needed for some teachers who struggled with using Geometer's Sketchpad. These findings highlight the importance of ongoing support and further training to sustain teachers' competency development, as well as encourage the application of more innovative teaching methods. Conclusion: Thus, this activity is expected to improve the quality of mathematics education in schools and prepare students to face academic challenges in the future.

Abstract

Mathematical representation ability is one of the important mathematical abilities for students to have because this ability plays an important role in students' ability to solve problems. This research is a descriptivequalitative research that aims to see students' mathematical representation skills in learning mathematical modeling using android-based learning media. The instruments used in this study were test questions in the form of mathematical modeling essay questions and interview guidelines. Students' mathematical representation ability was measured based on indicators of mathematical representation ability, namely visual representation, mathematical expression representation, and verbal representation. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the representation ability of students had a Very Good category of 63%, a Good category of 20%, and a Fair category of 17%. Students with Very Good category can do mathematical representation well as a way to help them in doing problem solving. Most of students in the Good category can make mathematical representations well, but still make a few mistakes in counting and understanding the problem. Most of students in the Fair category can make visual representations, but have not been able to do mathematical expression representations or verbal representations optimally.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan keterampilan penting yang mengasah kemampuan analitis, yang diperlukan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan berbagai bidang studi, terutama dalam matematika. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa adalah pemanfaatan media pembelajaran, seperti video animasi bergerak (Moving Animation Video/Motion Video). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa menggunakan Motion Video dalam pembelajaran matematika di SMP Adabiyah Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari 31 siswa kelas VII yang dipilih secara purposive. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui tes tulis dan wawancara, kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan indikator pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kategori tinggi memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang sangat baik, siswa dengan kategori sedang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang baik, dan siswa dengan kategori rendah memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang kurang baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Motion Video dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemodelan matematika siswa dalam pembelajaran barisan dan deret aritmetika berbantuan E-LKPD interaktif yaitu dengan media pembelajaran liveworksheets. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian yaitu 31 peserta didik kelas X.7 SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes dan wawancara. Data dianalisis yang didasarkan oleh hasil tes tertulis setiap peserta didik dan wawancara terhadap peserta didik sesuai dengan kategori kemampuan pemodelan matematika yang sudah ditentukan. Kemampuan pemodelan matematika peserta didik dilihat berdasarkan indikator kemampuan pemodelan matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemodelan matematika siswa dalam pembelajaran berbantuan liveworksheets terkategori sangat baik dengan persentase sebesar 48,38%, terkategori cukup dengan persentase sebesar 16,12%, dan terkategori kurang dengan persentase 19,35%. Dalam pengerjaan soal tes yang diberikan oleh peneliti sebagian besar peserta didik dapat memenuhi indikator kemampuan pemodelan matematika dengan baik dan mampu menyelesaikan soal dengan kesimpulan jawaban yang tepat. Namun begitu, dalam proses menyelesaikan soal peserta didik masih mengalami kendala seperti kekeliruan dalam mengindentifikasi soal, membentuk model matematika yang belum sesuai, tidak mengindetifikasikan variabel dengan tepat serta kebingungan dan kesalahan dalam proses penyelesaian secara matematis. Meskipun mereka melakukan kesalahan di beberapa bagian penyelesaian soal, secara keseluruhannya peserta didik mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan yang diberikan dengan baik.

Abstract

The research about Ordinary Differential Equation (ODE) has increased more widely since 1970. Therefore, several published articles in some journals can be found in some sources. This paper aims to provide an overview of the learning differential equation in higher education based on relevant literature. Therefore, we are interested in conducting a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology from 24 articles generated from Top 5 Scopus Q1 according to SJR reported by Scimago Journal & Country Rank in the subject area of education. The present study focuses on two aspects, namely: 1) the learning method of ODE that is proposed in the academic literature, and 2) the topic of ODE has been put forward and discussed in the academic literature. The systematic literature review found four methods of learning ODE (active learning, mathematical modelling, information, and technology communication, and geometric and qualitative solutions). Moreover, we also concluded that the several topics of ODE in the academic literature are 1) first order of ODE, 2) Euler method, 3) application to the problem (rate of change, population model, logistic generalized, and spring-mass), 4) second-order of ODE, and 5) system of ODE. The result of this study can provide a summary of existing literature and identify the weakness or gap to be investigated further in the following research related to the topic of ODE.

Abstract

Hasil belajar menunjukkan perkembangan siswa dalam hal pengetahuan (ingat, pahami, terapkan, dan seterusnya), sikap (menerima, berpartisipasi, dan lain-lain), serta keterampilan (persepsi, gerakan, dan kreativitas) setelah mengikuti pembelajaran. kenyataan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mempelajari matematika yang membuat hasil belajar mereka rendah. khususnya pada materi-materi yang dianggap abstrak. tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI.9 materi fungsi nilai mutlak menggunakan Gimkit. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 8 Palembang Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI.9 sebanyak 34 orang. Dalam penelitian tindakan kelas ini akan dilaksanakan melalui beberapa siklus yaitu siklus I dan siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapat terjadinya peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan media pembelajaran menggunakan Gimkit. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan perolehan nilai hasil belajar matematika pada siklus I yang terdiri dari nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 78.08 dan persentase ketuntusan sebesar 70.59%. Dan peningkatan nilai hasil belajar matematika siswa diperoleh pada siklus II yaitu nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 87.06 dan persentase ketuntusan sebesar 100%.
