Abstract

Turunan merupakan konsep dasar kalkulus yang memegang peranan penting dalam berbagai disiplin ilmu, termasuk fisika, teknik, dan ekonomi. Tetapi, banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan memahami dan menerapkan konsep-konsep turunan secara efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan telaah pustaka sistematis tentang pengajaran konsep turunan dalam kalkulus di tingkat sekolah menengah atas. Penelitian Systematic literature review (SLR) ini disusun menggunakan lima komponen inti yaitu merumuskan pertanyaan penelitian, pendarian dan pemilihan literatur, pengumpulan data dan evaluasi kualitas, sintesis dan analisis data, serta pelaporan dan interpretasi. Telaah ini mengidentifikasi tantangan-tantangan utama yang dihadapi oleh siswa, mengeksplorasi strategi pengajaran yang efektif, serta peran sumber daya digital dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Telaah ini memberikan wawasan tentang praktik pengajaran yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan mengidentifikasi bidang-bidang yang memerlukan penelitian lebih lanjut. Hasil telaah ini dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan kurikulum dan metode pengajaran yang lebih efektif dalam pengajaran kalkulus di sekolah menengah atas. Derivatives are fundamental concepts in calculus that play a vital role in various disciplines, including physics, engineering, and economics. However, many students struggle to understand and effectively apply derivative concepts. This study aims to conduct a systematic literature review on the teaching of derivative concepts in calculus at the high school level. This systematic literature review (SLR) is structured using five core components: formulating a research question, searching and selecting literature, collecting data and evaluating its quality, synthesizing and analyzing data, and reporting and interpreting. The review identifies key challenges faced by students, explores effective teaching strategies, and explores the role of digital resources in enhancing student understanding. It provides insights into teaching practices that can improve student learning outcomes and identifies areas requiring further research. The results of this review can contribute to the development of more effective curricula and teaching methods for calculus in high schools.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) produce valid and practical android-based learning media and (2) determine the potential effects on learning outcomes and positive attitudes of students from the development of android-based learning media. The type of research used is research and development using a development model adapted from Plomp. The subjects tested in the research are students who have studied basic statistical material, especially on the size of data centering. Data collection techniques in this study consisted of questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The results of this study include (1) producing valid and practical android-based learning media and (2) having a potential effect on learning outcomes and students' positive attitudes.

Abstract

Problem-solving is one aspect of high-level thinking skills that is important for students to have. Problem-solving is closely related to mathematical modeling, this is because mathematical modeling is usually considered the art of applying mathematics to real-world problems. This research is a qualitative descriptive study and the subjects of this study were 32 students of class VII C junior high school number 1 at Pagar Alam. This study aims to determine students' mathematical problem-solving abilities for the one variable linear equation topic with a mathematical modeling approach using ICT-based learning media. Data collection techniques used in this study were written tests and interviews. Based on the results of the study, it was found that learning mathematical modeling using Google Sites media was able to make a significant contribution to the problem-solving abilities of senior high school number 1 at Pagar Alam students. The results of the achievement of problem-solving abilities of VII C students with an average of 53.90% are categorized as sufficient. Students are more interested in using mathematical modeling learning using Google Sites.

Abstract

Pendidikan nilai karakter berperan dalam tujuan kebijakan merdeka belajar yaitu membentuk siswa-siswa yang berkarakter mulia. Keberhasilan proses pembentukan karakter peserta didik melalui pendidikan berbasis karakter, harus ditunjang dengan penyelenggaraan pendidikan dengan menginternalisasikan dan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai karakter melalui proses pembelajaran. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah mengembangkan pembelajaran yang menggunakan Modul Ajar dengan internalisasi nilai karakter, implementasi Modul Ajar bagi guru matematika untuk menguatkan nilai karakter, menganalisis respon guru terhadap kegiatan pendampingan penyusunan rencana pelaksanaan pendampingan Modul Ajar Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode yang dilakukan adalah community service dengan 3 level yaitu mengkaji penyusunan Modul Ajar, mengkaji penyusunan pembelajaran dengan menginternalisasi nilai karakter disusun melalui perangkat pembelajaran dan mengimplementasikan rancangan modul ajar. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan guru dapat menjelaskan komponen penyusunan modul ajar serta mampu membuat modul ajar kurikulum merdeka dengan internalisasi nilai karakter dan diperoleh 90% menyatakan kepuasan terhadap penjelasan dari narasumber, 80% menyatakan kepuasan terhadap kegiatan pendampingan, 82% menyatakan kepuasan terhadap penyusunan materi, 60% menyatakan kepuasan terhadap pendampingan penyusunan modul ajar.

Abstract

Kemampuan representasi matematis memungkinkan siswa dapat menciptakan dan menggunakan representasi untuk mengutarakan ide-ide, memecahkan suatu masalah, memodelkan serta menginterpretasikan suatu fenomena-fenomena sehingga kemampuan ini menjadi aspek yang sangat penting dari pembelajaran matematika sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan representasi matematis siswa dalam pembelajaran pemodelan matematika pada materi aplikasi program linear. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Sriguna Palembang dengan subjek penelitiannya yaitu 35 siswa kelas XI. Metode pengumpulan data untuk penelitian ini yaitu pemberian soal tes kemampuan representasi matematis sebanyak 3 soal yang digunakan untuk melihat kemampuan representasi matematis siswa, serta pelaksanaan wawancara yang digunakan untuk mengetahui pemikiran dan kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan. Dari hasil analisis jawaban siswa serta wawancara dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketercapaian pada indikator menyajikan kembali informasi 72%; merumuskan masalah ke dalam bentuk model matematika 66%; menggunakan representasi visual untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan 34%; menuliskan interpretasi matematis 15%; dan melakukan verifikasi hasil 10%. Ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan representasi matematis siswa dalam pembelajaran pemodelan matematika perlu ditingkatkan lagi, terutama pada penyelesaian masalah dan melakukan representasi bentuk visual.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan numerasi siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan bantuan media ICT. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), yang akan dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Materi yang diajarkan meliputi sistem persamaan linier, dengan fokus pada pengembangan kemampuan siswa dalam memodelkan masalah nyata ke dalam persamaan matematis dan menyelesaikan sistem persamaan tersebut. Penelitian ini melibatkan 36 siswa kelas X dari SMA Negeri Srijaya Negara Palembang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, yang kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil siklus I menunjukkan bahwa metode Problem-Based Learning (PBL) meningkatkan keterlibatan sebagian siswa dalam pembelajaran dengan metode grafik meskipun terdapat kendala pada pengelolaan waktu. Hasil dari siklus II menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi SPLDV dan sistem pertidaksamaan linier dua variabel berdasarkan kenaikan skor rata-rata tes dibandingkan dengan siklus I. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah metode Problem-Based Learning (PBL) secara efektif meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, pemahaman konsep, dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linier Dua Variabel (SPLDV) dan sistem pertidaksamaan linier dua variabel dengan pengintegrasian GeoGebra dalam memperkuat kemampuan numerasi siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematical modeling abilities in learning integer operations assisted by E-LKPD, namely with Liveworksheets learning media. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research type with research subjects, namely 25 students of class VII.1 SMP Negeri 3 Tanjung Raja. Data were collected through tests and interviews. Data analysis is based on the results of each student's written test and interviews with students according to the predetermined category of mathematical modeling abilities. Students' mathematical modeling abilities are seen based on indicators of mathematical modeling abilities. The results of the study show that students' mathematical modeling abilities in learning assisted by Liveworksheets are categorized as very good with a percentage of 52%, categorized as good with a percentage as 24%, categorizes as sufficient with a percentage of 18%, and categorized as less with a percentage of 6%. In working on the test questions given by the researcher, most students can meet the indicators of mathematical modeling abilities well and are able to solve problems with correct answer conclusions. However, in the process of solving the problems, students still encountered obstacles such as errors in identifying the problem, creating an inappropriate mathematical model, not identifying variables correctly, and confusion and errors in the mathematical solution process. Although they made errors in some parts of the problem solving, overall, students were able to solve the problems given well.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Local Instructional Theory (LIT) for teaching the concept of derivatives through internalization using the real-life context of climate change. It employed a three-phase design strategy: (1) the development of a Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT); (2) teaching experiments conducted with 5 students in pilot experiments and 37 Grade 11 students in final experiment; and (3) a retrospective analysis. Data was collected through observations of classroom interactions, student worksheets, tests, interviews, and field notes. The retrospective analysis involved comparing the actual learning processes to the HLT. The results indicate that students' perceptions of the derivative developed through three fundamental activities: (1) amount of change and instantaneous rate; (2) rates of change, where the derivative was introduced as a tool for understanding instantaneous changes; and (3) prediction, in which students used derivatives to forecast future climatic patterns. These exercises helped students to conceptually understand the derivative as a measure of instantaneous rate of change, while also promoting mathematical modeling and environmental awareness. The resulting LIT offers a pragmatically based approach to conveying the concept of calculus in contextualized and provides practical implications for the construction of curricula and the teaching of mathematics at the secondary school level.
