Abstract

ABSTRACT Effective management of stroke patients is essential to prevent physical and mental disabilities. This study aims to implement nursing care management for non-hemorrhagic stroke patients using a case study approach at Arifin Achmad General Hospital in Riau, with an eight-day observation period in June 2024.The nursing care management approach encompasses planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating based on prioritized nursing issues. Interventions follow the Indonesian Nursing Diagnosis Standard (SDKI), focusing on three primary areas. First, physical mobility impairment was addressed through passive Range of Motion (ROM) exercises to improve muscle strength and joint flexibility. Second, verbal communication impairment was managed using hand signals as an alternative communication method, along with teaching the patient to speak slowly. Third, fall risk was mitigated through education on risk factors and preventive measures for both the patient and family. Results over the eight-day nursing period indicated significant improvement. The patient's Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score reached 15, indicating full consciousness. The patient independently performed passive ROM exercises with increased muscle strength rated at 4+/5. Morse Fall Scale (MFS) assessment showed a low fall risk following family education. Additionally, hand signals and slower verbal communication were successfully adopted, enhancing interaction. This structured approach demonstrates that tailored, evidence-based interventions effectively support recovery and reduce complications in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients.  Keywords : Management Nursing Care, Non Hemorhagic Stroke

Abstract

The impact that can be caused by patients experiencing auditory hallucinations is a loss of self-control. Patients experience panic and their behavior is controlled by their hallucinations. In this situation, patients can commit suicide, kill others (homicide), and even damage the environment. To minimize the impact of hallucinations, appropriate hallucination treatment is needed. One way to manage hallucinations is through generalist therapy and drawing activities. Drawing activity therapy aims to minimize the patient's interaction with their world, express thoughts, feelings, and emotions that influence behavior, provide motivation and happiness, entertain and distract the patient, so that attention is not focused. The purpose of this study is to provide therapy for patients with auditory hallucinations using drawing activity therapy. The method used in this scientific work is drawing therapy intervention. The sample of this study was 1 schizophrenia patient with a nursing diagnosis of auditory hallucinations. The study was conducted on April 24-26, 2025. The results showed that after drawing therapy on the third day, the patient said that sometimes he still heard whispers but the voices had decreased and the patient said he wanted to go home immediately.

Abstract

Anxiety is a feeling of uncertainty accompanied by feelings of weakness and helplessness caused by an unclear situation and emotional conditions that cause discomfort. One therapy that can be given to elderly people with anxiety problems is progressive muscle relaxation therapy. The goal of this therapy is to provide a positive effect in reducing the range of anxiety. The implementation method used is an experimental technique (treatment) on elderly people with anxiety problems. The number of respondents required is two elderly people with a nursing diagnosis of anxiety. This therapy was carried out for three days from June 13-15, 2025, with a duration of 15-20 minutes. Assessments were carried out using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) questionnaire with a pretest and posttest process. There was a significant decrease in anxiety scores for all elderly people after the intervention. The average pretest score ranged from 22-27 (moderate anxiety category), while the posttest score decreased to 8-13 (no anxiety category). This demonstrates the effectiveness of progressive muscle relaxation therapy in reducing anxiety levels.
