Abstract

The research aims to plan the management outreach process to the community regarding developing a tourist village in South Subang. Including finding patterns of acceptance and suitability of the idea of developing a tourist village in South Subang, as well as finding and identifying the factors that influence community acceptance of the idea of developing a tourism village in South Subang. The results of the research using quantitative data and reinforced with qualitative data indicate that the process of socializing management to the community is carried out persuasively and recognizes the characteristics of the village community who are the target of communication. While the community accepts the idea of developing a tourist village in South Subang, some support it, and some are unhappy. Therefore, the factors that affect the acceptance of village communities to the idea of developing a tourist village in South Subang can involve opinion leaders, namely community leaders or leaders who are respected and combined with adopting Innovation. This strengthens the theory (Festinger, 1957) of social psychology and Lazarsfeld regarding opinion leaders combined with the concept of Innovation (Rogers, 2003).

Abstract

One of the company's heavy burdens is being inefficient with an excessive number of employees, who ultimately become unproductive because they exceed the company's capabilities, namely both organic and non-organic employees/outsourcing. The research aims to analyze the role and efforts made by the PTKS Corporate Communication Division in the Restructuring program. The theories used are co-orientation theory and adaptive structural theory (AST). The method used is a case study, with data collection techniques through observation and interviews with several credible informants who know and are involved in this problem. The research results show that the role of PTKS Corporate Communication in managing crisis communications tends to be limited by the principal director of PT Krakatau Steel in terms of communication and publication to the public, especially to the media, to ensure that restructuring program information is released from one door. In this case, the leadership of the PTKS President Director was very dominant; at that time, only a few employees were allowed to speak to the public. It shows that in this restructuring program, the role of the Corporate Communication Division is different from the task description set by the company.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has created new interaction spaces that enable online prostitution, one of which is through the MiChat application. The anonymity and people nearby features make it easier for users to interact without clear identities, creating a loophole for covert sexual transactions. This research uses a critical paradigm with a qualitative approach through interviews, digital observation, and document analysis to understand how anonymity operates as a mechanism of power. The results show that coded language such as "ST/LT," "Open BO," and "300 up" are used to disguise transactions, while the application's algorithm reinforces power relations through account visibility. Social factors such as economic pressure, a consumptive lifestyle, and low digital literacy contribute to increasing adolescent vulnerability. In conclusion, online prostitution on the MiChat application is not only the result of individual abuse, but also the result of the interaction between technological design, anonymity, and social structures that support exploitative practices in the digital space

Abstract

This study investigates the reception of “dry text” as a form of digital body language and the understanding of message meaning among WhatsApp users. In the evolving digital communication landscape, the absence of explicit non-verbal cues in text-based interactions, often referred to as “dry text,” presents unique challenges to message interpretation. Using a qualitative descriptive approach grounded in Stuart Hall’s Reception Theory, this study analyzes the nuanced understanding of message meaning, considering the interplay between context, relationship dynamics, and the individual’s psychological state. The study findings reveal that the interpretation of “dry text” is highly subjective and context-dependent, with factors such as relational intimacy, communication history, and current mood significantly influencing reception. While some users interpret “dry text” as efficient, others perceive it as negative, indifferent, or even rude. This study highlights the critical role of users’ communicative competence in navigating ambiguous digital cues and the potential for miscommunication when non-verbal signals are absent. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of digital body language and the complexity of meaning-making in text-based communication.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of First Class Dental Luxury branding at OMDC Dental Clinic and to evaluate the alignment of this concept with patients’ perceptions using the Customer-Based Brand Equity (CBBE) framework. This research is important given the increasing competition in the dental healthcare industry, which requires brand differentiation not only in functional aspects but also in experiential and symbolic perceptions experienced by patients. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, involving internal stakeholders (management and dental professionals) and patients who had repeatedly utilized OMDC’s services, with the number of informants determined until theoretical saturation was achieved. Data analysis was conducted using Keller’s CBBE pyramid model, encompassing brand awareness, brand associations, perceived quality, and brand loyalty, and was integrated with indicators of healthcare service quality. The findings indicate that First Class Dental Luxury branding successfully differentiates OMDC Dental Clinic by delivering a service experience inspired by first-class airline services, characterized by an exclusive ambiance, personalized care, and professional interaction standards. Patients perceive a strong alignment between the brand image and the actual service experience, although greater consistency in implementation across all branches remains necessary. This study highlights the importance of integrating branding strategies with service quality to strengthen brand equity in the healthcare service sector.
