Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the validity and practicality of the learning trajectory through a realistic approach to the subject of the Pythagorean theorem in SMP Negeri 1 Hulu Sihapas. This research is a type of validation study design research that aims to develop local instruction theory (LIT) in collaboration with researchers and educators to improve the quality of learning. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Hulu Sihapas with product trial subjects in class VIII-A, totaling 26 students. Data collection instruments used were validation sheets, questionnaires and using validity and practicality analysis techniques. The results showed that: 1) the learning trajectory through a realistic approach is said to be valid with validity 85 of the analysis of 3 validators; and 2) the learning trajectory through a realistic approach is said to be practical with a value of 85.44 from the student response questionnaire. The learning trajectory generated in this study is in the form of activities undertaken by students to achieve learning objectives, namely to understand the Pythagorean theorem concept.

Abstract

The development of mathematics learning in Indonesia is very alarming. One contributing factor is the lack of realization of the approach or learning strategies used during the learning process. The new paradigm of education is now more emphasis on students as human beings who have the potential to learn and grow. Therefore, it is necessary to apply a variety of learning approaches that are relevant to the learning of mathematics. Learning approach is intended contextual approach, open ended approach, problem-solving approach, and the approach of realistic mathematics education. The fourth approach uses a realistic problem as a starting base of learning so that students are expected to find and reconstruct mathematical concepts or formal mathematical knowledge. Abstract

The background of this research problem is the lack of students' ability to associate the concepts they learn with the problems that exist in their environment. In addition to the lack of maximum problem solving abilities of students who, if seen from the causal elements, one of them is the inappropriate learning method applied by the teacher. The problem discussed in this study is about students' problem solving abilities in the function subject in class VIII Al-Junaidiyah Mandailing Natal District. How is the problem solving ability of students in the function subject in class VIII Al-Junaidiyah Mandailing Natal District ?. Problem solving ability is one of the mathematical abilities that can facilitate students in solving problems in mathematics. This study aims to find out how students' problem solving abilities when faced with math problems students VIII Al-Junaidiyah Mandailing Natal District.This research is a qualitative research with descriptive approach method. The research subjects were class VIII Al-Junaidiyah Mandailing Natal District as many as 25 students. To obtain this research data using interview instruments and tests. Data analysis used is tabulation with the application of descriptive data.Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the problem solving abilities of students on the subject of functions in expressing functions in arrow diagrams are 34.11%, problem solving abilities in expressing functions in cartesius diagrams21.96%, and problem solving abilities in expressing functions in sequential pairs 16.36%, then the problem solving ability in expressing a notation of a function consisting of 2 items, namely number 4 is 16.82% and question number 5 is 10.75%. The conclusions found in this study are the lack of student understanding in the concepts of function, which causes a low ability to solve the problem of class VIII students of Al-Junaidiyah, Mandailing Natal District.

Abstract

Intelligent factor is the most important of human personality, because intelligent take a part in each human activity, specially low or high student’s attainment in learning process. Many influencing factors of someone ability in problem solving. The aim of this researce are to know how the correlation between double intelligent with learning result in math subject about algebra.This research conducted in MTs N  2  Padangsidimpuan at VII. Grade Collecting data done by questionnaire and learning test result. To collect the data about intelligent researcher use questionnaire and test  used to collect the student test result. While to test hypothesis. Researcher use correlation product moment, and t-test to see significant or not.Based on research, researcher can conclude there is a significant correlation between, double intelligent with learning result in math subject about algebra in MTs N 2 Padangsidimpuan at VII Grade. Its mean more intelligent kind students have, higher math subject that reach by students.

Abstract

The purpose of the efforts of teachers to overcome student learning difficulties in order to find out the efforts made by teachers to overcome the difficulties of students learning mathematics in fractions in class VII SMP Negeri 7 Padangsidimpuan. This research is a classroom action research conducted using the cycle method. The instruments used are observation and test in the form of essays.Based on the results of the study, it was found that the students' initial abilities in the fraction material through the learning model, this can be seen and the increase in the results of the average initial test scores of all students was 65 and the number of students who passed 5 students with a percentage of 20% and 25 students. In the  first cycle test meeting 1 with an average score of all students, namely 69.08 and the number of students who graduated 13 students with a percentage of 52% and 25 students. In the second session of the first test session, the average of all students was 72.6 and the number of students who graduated was 15 students with a percentage of 60% and 25 students. While the second cycle of meeting 1 test with an average value of all students is 78.2 and the number of students who passed 19 students with a percentage of 76% and 25 students. In the 2nd meeting cycle II test with an average value of all students, namely 82 and the number of students who graduated 21 students with a percentage of 84% and 25 students. Based on the percentage of graduation students have reached the desired level, this study was stopped until the second meeting of the cycle II.

Abstract

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh ketujuh jenis kecerdasan manusia menurut Howard Gardner (1983) dari kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah khususnya pada topik aljabar. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 115 responden yang diambil secara random  dari populasi. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan test dan angket. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh dengan  Fhitung 2,327 Ftabel 2,09 pada taraf signifikansi α=0,05. Dengan menggunakan uji Scheffe, urutan dari kemampuan menyelesaikan soal aljabar berdasarkan jenis kecerdasan adalah: Logika-matematika Kinestetik Intrapersonal Interpersonal Linguistik Spasial Musika

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam membangun sumber daya manusia yang kompetitif dan mampu bersaing dengan negara lain. Dalam menyongsong Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA), pendidikan harus mampu mempersiapkan sumber daya manusia yang terampil, peka dan kritis dalam menghadapi tantangan maupun perubahan-perubahan yang akan terjadi di dunia pendidikan mendatang. Agar guru matematika siap dalam menghadapi MEA, guru matematika harus memahami tentang isu-isu strategis, pengembangan keprofesian guru, dan revitalisasi pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan penanaman sikap amanah dalam proses pembelajaran, evaluasi, dan pelaksanaan salat berjamaah oleh Peserta Didik di MTs. Swasta Syahbuddin Mustafa Nauli. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dan pengujian keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penanaman sikap amanah terhadap peserta didik yang dilakukan di MTs. Swasta Syahbuddin Mustafa Nauli dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah, guru pendidikan agama Islam dan pegawai. Sikap amanah yang ditanamkan pada peserta didik berkaitan dengan amanah kepada Allah SWT, amanah kepada orang lain dan amanah terhadap diri sendiri dengan memberikan keteladanan dan nasehat kepada peserta didik.

Abstract

This article describes senior high school students' social skills in learning physics by applying the problem-posing approach. This study conducted by implementing a pre-experimental method of the One-Shot Case Study. The samples of this study were  38 students from XII Science class who chosen from a population of 240 students at grade X, XI, and XII at one of the senior high schools in Tapanuli Selatan. The data of students' social skills collected through observation sheets of social skills with five aspects of indicators, namely being consistent with doing tasks, encouraging participation, taking turns and sharing tasks, listening actively, and asking questions. The data analyzed by calculating the average score of students social from each indicator. The score of each indicator of the students' social skills was varied for every meeting, ranging from very high, high, moderate, low to very low, and so was the number of students for each criterion of social skills on each meeting. The results concluded that the profile of social skills in learning physics through a problem-posing approach revealed various levels of mastery of the students' social skills. The variety could be observed from the ability of social skills on each indicator and the number of students for each criterion of social skills in each meeting.
