Abstract

Perencanaan Ruang Terbuka Hijau dilakukan melalui implementasi partisipasi masyarakat. Taman adalah contoh Ruang Terbuka Hijau ide dalam pemanfaatan lahan kosong di lingkungan perumahan dan permukiman. Taman di Ruang Terbuka Hijau bertujuan memfasilitasi masyarakat untuk menanam tanaman budidaya di lahan kosong perumahan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan rumah tangga di perumahan. Taman untuk tanaman budidaya bermanfaat untuk kawasan hijau dan area resapan di perumahan dalam waktu jangka panjang. Taman direncanakan berlokasi di kawasan perumahan Jalan Bandeng II Kelurahan Bukit Tunggal, Kecamatan Jekan, Kota Palangka Raya. Taman merupakan keinginan dan ide masyarakat perumahan Jalan Bandeng II Kelurahan Bukit Tunggal. Bentuk partisipasi aktif perumahan Jalan Bandeng II dibagi atas beberapa tahap antara lain: tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, yaitu pelatihan dan pembuatan taman, dan tahap pasca pelaksanaan, yaitu monitoring dalam pembuatan taman dan evaluasi implementasi penanaman difasilitasi oleh pihak pemerintahan Kelurahan Bukit Tunggal. Taman merupakan contoh sampel dari pengabdian masyarakat untuk penghijauan kawasan perumahan di Kota Palangka Raya. Taman merupakan bagian program kerja Kelurahan Bukit Tunggal, paguyuban bapak-bapak, dan ibu-ibu PKK Kelurahan Bukit Tunggal. Kegiatan pengabdian merupakan salah satu implementasi tridarma Perguruan Tinggi untuk masyakat, khususnya tim pengabdian Fakultas Teknik Universitas Palangka Raya. Metode pengabdian menggunakan data kualitatif berdasarkan observasi, wawancara dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Hasil penelitian adalah terlaksananya implementasi partisipasi masyarakat dalam perencanaan taman di Perumahan Jalan Bandeng II Kelurahan Bukit Tunggal sebagai apresiasi tridarma peguruan tinggi kepada masyarakat dari mendampingi pembuatan konsep taman, pendampingan pelatihan dan pelaksanaan penanaman.

Abstract

The Kahayan River is able to attract the attention of tourists and the people of Palangka Raya City through its natural potentials and portraits of community life on the riverside area. The Kahayan River has natural potential such as rivers, green open space, as a city buffer area, as well as cultural tourism, namely the uniqueness of settlements on the riverside area. The purpose of the service is to map the natural tourism potential of the Kahayan River area, Pahandut Seberang Village. The activity is located in Pahandut Seberang Village, Palangka Raya City. The method used is qualitative by describing descriptively and the stages of activities include: (a) preparation stage; (b) implementation stage; (c) post-implementation stage. The analysis and synthesis include descriptive elaboration of in-depth interview data with the community and village civil servant and the results of observational studies. The analysis applied to service activities include: (a) mapping analysis of the existing potential of the area, (b) mapping analysis of river tourism potential in Pahandut Seberang Village, (c) figure ground analysis of tourism potential in the Kahayan Riverside area, and (d) analysis of green open space tourism in Pahandut Seberang Village, Palangka Raya City. The output of this service activity provides a learning process for mapping the potential of natural tourism, analyzing the identification map of natural tourism, and analyzing the concept of nature tourism in Pahandut Seberang Village based on sustainable local wisdom.

Abstract

Abstrak. Lingkungan hidup yang baik dan sehat sangat penting untuk kelangsungan hidup warga masyarakat. Sanitasi merupakan salah satu upaya untuk menjaga lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat dengan mengawasi faktor lingkungan hidup. Kegiatan sosialisasi teknik pengelolaan sanitasi lingkungan bagi warga masyarakat di Kelurahan Habaring Hurung telah dilaksanakan dengan baik. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui kerjasama dengan mitra yaitu kelompok warga masyarakat, kepala kelurahan dan staf Kelurahan Habaring Hurung, Kecamatan Bukit Batu, Kota Palangka Raya, Kalimantan Tengah. Kegiatan ini berlangsung dalam empat tahapan kegiatan, yaitu tahap survey lokasi, pengumpulan materi kegiatan, pelaksanaan kegiatan pengelolaan sanitasi lingkungan dan diakhiri dengan indikator keberhasilan. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat menambah wawasan dan kemampuan tentang bagaimana melakukan teknik pengelolaan sanitasi lingkungan. Hal tersebut dapat kita lihat dari hasil kuisioner melalui pre-test dan post-test yang telah diisi oleh peserta kegiatan, dimana rata-rata peserta sebelum mengikuti kegiatan ini menjawab kurang mengetahui tentang teknik pengelolaan sanitasi lingkungan. Namun melalui informasi atau konten materi yang telah disampaikan, masyarakat menjadi mengerti dan memahaminya. Abstract. A good and healthy environment is very important for the survival of the community. Sanitation is one of the efforts to maintain the environment and public health by monitoring environmental factors. The socialization activity of environmental sanitation management techniques for residents in Habaring Hurung Village has been carried out well. This activity was carried out through collaboration with partners, namely community groups, village heads and staff of Habaring Hurung Village, Bukit Batu District, Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan. This activity took place in four stages of activity, namely the location survey stage, collection of activity materials, implementation of environmental sanitation management activities and ending with success indicators. Based on the results of the activity, it can be concluded that this community service activity can increase insight and ability on how to carry out environmental sanitation management techniques. This can be seen from the results of the questionnaire through the pre-test and post-test that have been filled out by the participants of the activity, where the average participant before participating in this activity answered that they did not know much about environmental sanitation management techniques. However, through the information or content of the material that has been delivered, the community understands and comprehends it.

Abstract

Outdoor thermal comfort plays a crucial role in supporting daily academic activities, particularly in humid tropical regions characterized by high air temperature and relative humidity. Air temperature and relative humidity were measured at 30 observation points representing different land-cover conditions across the campus area. Outdoor thermal comfort was evaluated using the Thermal Humidity Index (THI), while vegetation density was assessed using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) derived from Landsat 8 imagery. Statistical analysis was applied to examine the relationship between NDVI and THI. The results indicate a consistent negative relationship between vegetation density and THI. Areas with higher NDVI values tend to exhibit lower THI levels, reflecting more comfortable thermal conditions. In contrast, locations dominated by built-up surfaces and sparse vegetation show higher THI values and experience greater thermal discomfort, particularly during daytime periods. Although the overall proportion of green open space on the campus meets regulatory requirements, the spatial distribution and density of vegetation vary considerably across activity zones. These findings highlight that vegetation density is a key factor in improving outdoor thermal comfort in tropical university campuses. Strategic enhancement of vegetation density, especially in high-activity areas, is essential to support a more thermally comfortable and sustainable campus environment.

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan perumahan yang disebabkan oleh pertumbuhan penduduk yang juga meningkat di kota Palangka Raya, hal ini juga berdampak pada tingginya limbah konstruksi yang dihasilkan, terutama di daerah dengan jumlah penduduk yang padat di wilayah Kota Palangka Raya. Pada penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan efektivitas pengelolaan sampah Pembangunan perumahan di Kota Palangka Raya masih tergolong rendah dengan skor WMPET sebesar 543,96/1.000 sehingga perlu diketahui hambatan efektivitas yang rendah ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang menghambat waste material yang terjadi pada proyek perumahan dengan menggunakan  metode Relative Importance Index (RII) untuk mengetahui faktor dominan yang menjadi kendala utama sehingga developer dapat mengetahui tindakan pertama untuk mengurangi waste material di lokasi proyek. Hasil penelitian ini menyebutkan bahwa terdapat enam faktor dominan, yaitu regulasi pemerintah, tenaga kerja, manajemen & lingkungan, sosial, teknis, dan ekonomi, dengan faktor regulasi pemerintah sebagai faktor dominan dengan nilai RII tertinggi sebesar 0,681. Hasil penelitian ini juga akan dipetakan menggunakan Fishbone diagram untuk memudahkan mengetahui sebab dan akibat dari masing-masing faktor.

Abstract

The construction industry is one of the primary contributors to environmental degradation through carbon emissions, excessive energy use, and waste. In response to these challenges, green construction has emerged as a sustainable development approach that minimizes negative impacts on the environment. This study employs an explanatory quantitative research method using a questionnaire survey approach. Data analysis was conducted through “validity and reliability tests” using SPSS 25.0, descriptive analysis (mean, standard deviation, and TCR), and “Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS)” for factor analysis and to test relationships between variables. Based on the results of the PLS-SEM analysis, it was found that factor X2.2 had an outer weight of 0.804, an outer weight p-value of 0.006, and an outer loading of 0.955, while factor X1.1 had an outer weight of 0.765, an outer weight p-value of 0.029, and an outer loading of 0.925. The success rate of green construction implementation stands at 36.47%, which is low. The dominant factors influencing the implementation rate of GC in building projects in Palangka Raya are financial and management/human resources factors, followed by regulatory and government factors. “The influence of each factor is as follows: regulatory and government factors have a positive and significant influence; financial and management/human resources factors also have a positive and significant influence; while technical and technological factors have a negative and insignificant influence

Abstract

The increase in infrastructure development in Palangka Raya City has an impact on increasing complexity and risks in construction projects, so the implementation of Safety, Health, and the Work Environment is a crucial aspect. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that affect the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health in the construction project environment in Palangka Raya City. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach through secondary data analysis sourced from scientific journals, books, and related regulations in the period from August to September 2025. The results of the study show that the success of the implementation of K3L is determined by 3 main factors, namely occupational safety, occupational health, and work environment, which consists of 15 supporting subfactors. Occupational safety factors include the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), equipment inspection, and consistent supervision. Occupational health factors include the provision of hygiene facilities, the arrangement of rest times, and worker health checks. Meanwhile, work environmental factors include waste management, pollution control, and the application of environmentally friendly principles. This study provides a theoretical reference for the development of construction management science and provides practical guidance for contractors in improving work safety performance in a holistic, efficient, and quality manner.

Abstract

Kenyamanan termal merupakan komponen penting dalam performa bangunan yang memengaruhi kesehatan, produktivitas penghuni, serta efisiensi energi. Penelitian ini menyajikan pendekatan analitik lingkungan untuk mengevaluasi kenyamanan termal pada Gedung Pusat Pengembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi serta Inovasi Gambut Universitas Palangka Raya. Pengukuran lapangan dilakukan pada 40 titik di dalam ruangan dengan mencatat suhu udara, kelembapan relatif, dan kecepatan udara, sementara tingkat metabolisme (MET) dan isolasi pakaian (CLO) ditentukan melalui analisis observasional. Data yang diperoleh kemudian diolah menggunakan simulasi komputasi melalui CBE Thermal Comfort Tools dengan menerapkan model Predicted Mean Vote (PMV) sesuai standar ASHRAE 55-2017 dan SNI 03-6572-2001. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan suhu dalam ruangan melebihi 26°C dan kelembapan di atas 60%, yang menghasilkan nilai PMV berkisar antara 0,60 hingga 1,75, sehingga termasuk dalam kategori sedikit hangat hingga hangat. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam bidang analitik lingkungan dengan menyediakan data empiris yang dapat mendukung pengembangan sistem pengendalian iklim berbasis kecerdasan buatan (AI) serta strategi bangunan adaptif di wilayah tropis. Temuan penelitian juga menunjukkan keterbatasan penerapan PMV konvensional pada iklim tropis lembap dan menegaskan pentingnya integrasi simulasi digital serta sistem kontrol cerdas untuk meningkatkan performa kenyamanan termal dalam ruangan.
