Abstract

Underfunded secondary schools in Indonesia rely heavily on limited BOS (School Operational Assistance) funds, yet administrative staff often lack adequate financial management capacity, threatening transparency and accountability. Participatory training offers a promising, cost-efficient capacity-building approach. This study examines the effect of a participatory training program on financial management knowledge, self-efficacy, and report accuracy among administrative staff in underfunded secondary schools, while also exploring participants’ subjective experiences. Methods: A mixed-method explanatory sequential design was employed, beginning with a one-group pretest-posttest quantitative phase (n=40 administrative staff from ten underfunded secondary schools) followed by qualitative semi-structured interviews with 15 purposively selected participants. The three-day participatory training incorporated simulations, case studies, role-play, and group discussions. Instruments included a knowledge test (α=0.85), a financial self-efficacy scale (α=0.89), and a financial report accuracy checklist (inter-rater κ=0.82). Data were analyzed using paired t-tests, Cohen’s d, and thematic analysis. Significant improvements were found in knowledge (t=12.34, p<0.001, d=2.01), self-efficacy (t=11.22, p<0.001, d=1.89), and report accuracy (t=9.87, p<0.001, d=1.64). Qualitative findings revealed three major themes: enhanced conceptual understanding, increased confidence and motivation, and improved collaborative practices. Participatory training effectively strengthens financial management capacity in resource-constrained school settings, enhancing both technical competence and professional agency. Integration of participatory approaches into continuous professional development policies is strongly recommended.

Abstract

The post-digital era has transformed how consumers process information, perceive brands, and make purchasing decisions. Traditional marketing approaches increasingly struggle to capture attention in environments saturated with digital stimuli. Neuromarketing, which integrates neuroscience with marketing research, offers a powerful framework for understanding the subconscious mechanisms that drive consumer behavior. This study explores how neural and emotional responses influence consumer decision-making in the context of digital overload and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and personalized advertising. Using a mixed-method approach that combines electroencephalography (EEG) data with behavioral experiments, the study identifies key neural patterns linked to attention, emotion, and memory in purchasing contexts. The results reveal that emotional engagement and visual stimulus design significantly affect brand recall and decision confidence. The findings highlight the growing importance of sensory marketing and neurocognitive analysis as tools for designing more ethical, personalized, and effective marketing strategies in the post-digital age.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of service quality and price on customer loyalty, with trust as a mediating variable, at Aero Coffee Balikpapan. Increasing competition among coffee shops has encouraged businesses to improve customer satisfaction and retain loyal customers through better service, competitive pricing, and stronger trust. This research employed a quantitative explanatory approach involving 65 customers selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with a bootstrapping procedure to examine direct and indirect relationships among variables. The results indicate that both service quality and price have a positive and significant effect on customer trust. Trust also has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty and mediates the relationship between service quality, price, and customer loyalty. These findings suggest that improving service quality and offering prices that match customers’ value perceptions can strengthen trust and foster long-term customer loyalty. Therefore, Aero Coffee Balikpapan should continue enhancing service quality, implementing competitive pricing strategies, and maintaining customer trust to achieve sustainable business growth.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the influence of service quality, customer trust, mobile banking, and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty at Bank Mandiri in Balikpapan City. The approach used in this study was quantitative with a purposive sampling technique for 70 respondents. Data processing was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling method based on Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) through the SmartPLS application. The results of the study indicate that customer trust has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. On the other hand, service quality and mobile banking have not been able to provide a significant influence on customer satisfaction or loyalty. Furthermore, customer satisfaction has not been proven to significantly influence customer loyalty. The findings of this study indicate that in the development of digital banking services, the trust factor has become a more dominant aspect in shaping customer satisfaction compared to service quality or mobile banking usage. Therefore, banks need to improve system security, service consistency, and information transparency to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
