Abstract

Knowledge related to public speaking will be able to facilitate opinions/ideas/information to be accepted by heterogeneous communities. Public speaking skills can also support students' careers in working to produce competent public speakers to meet the needs of today's era. Mojodanu is a village located in Ngusikan District, Jombang Regency. The ability to do Public Speaking among TPQ children in Mojodanu varies. Some of them are used to speaking in public through school activities and religious studies, but there are also those who still feel less confident. From here the author has an idea to improve the mastery of Public Speaking properly and correctly in Mojodanu Village, Ngusikan District. By using the Public Speaking Guide book. The approach method used in community service in Mojodanu Village is to use the PAR method (Participatory Action Research). One of them is by implementing practical methods, training and local community approaches so that indirectly children and the community in Mojodanu Village can capture the Public Speaking training material well. After the Public Speaking training was held, TPQ children in Mojodanu village were enthusiastic in preparing themselves for the Public Speaking competition. The opinion of the head of TPQ from various hamlets in Mojodanu Village said that TPQ children were happy and motivated in the Public Speaking training that we did. With the books provided, it can help partners in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the educational value of the megengan tradition which has been preserved for generations to date in the Sudimoro village community, Megaluh district, Jombang district. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis used qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results show that in this megengan tradition it is used to pray for the elders, the ancestors of the grave experts who have preceded us, and as an expression of gratitude because they are still given a long healthy life and afiat can still meet in the holy month of Ramadan, by bathing in kramas to purify Then a feast is held by exchanging apem (snacks) to welcome fasting, which comes from the Javanese po-so which means Ngeposne Roso (resting the world's happy and sad), these are the values of direct education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang Nilai-nilai Pendidikan Islam dalam Tradisi Tahlilan sebagai wujud harmonisosial masyarakat Sudimoro Megaluh Jombang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan metode pengumpulan data observasi dan dokumentasi. Sedang analisis datanya menggunakan konten analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam yang terdapat dalam tradisi Tahlilan adalah untuk medapatkan ridlo dari Alloh SWT. Menurut mayoritas penduduk desa Sudimoro menyatakan bahwa memberi jamuan termasuk sedekah yang dianjurkan oleh Islam yang pahalanya dihadiahkan pada orang yang telah meninggal dan sabagai ikramud dla`if. Dalam konteks sosiologis, ritual tahlilan ini sebagai alat memperkuat solidaritas sosial, maksudnya alat untuk memperkuat keseimbangan masyarakat di desa Sudimoro yakni menciptakan situasi sosio harmoni, toleransi di kalangan partisipan, serta tolong-menolong bergantian untuk memberikan berkah (doa) yang akan ditujukan pada keluarga yang sudah meninggal.

Abstract

This community service program was implemented at Public Elementary School Gedangan 3 in the rural district of Sumobito, Jombang, where school gardens support greening and environmental learning but plant care is constrained by manual, inconsistent watering. The project focused on introducing an automatic plant-watering system based on the Internet of Things using a soil-moisture sensor, a microcontroller, a relay, tubing, and a small water pump. The objectives were to motivate students’ interest in technology that benefits daily life, increase their knowledge of automatic watering principles and components, and provide direct practice operating a simple device. The approach combined participatory planning with teachers, structured instruction through presentation slides, a live demonstration of the device, guided student practice, and interactive discussion. Activities were conducted on 21 August 2025 with eighteen students from grades five and six, with classroom teachers acting as facilitators. Results showed improved student understanding of component functions and system operation, greater confidence and curiosity toward technology, and more consistent watering practices that support plant growth while using water efficiently. Students reported finding the learning enjoyable and accessible, and teachers indicated readiness to sustain the device for routine garden care. The program offers a practical, replicable model for integrating elementary-level technology literacy with environmental stewardship in school settings

Abstract

Background: This study addresses the critical social issue of violence and bullying within Islamic educational institutions. It focuses on the role and potential of senior santri (students) as peer mentors in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Kediri, Indonesia, to act as agents of peace and change. Purpose of the Study: The purpose is to examine how values grounded in education and empathy can mitigate violence, specifically through the peer mentoring practices of senior santri. The objective is to understand the nature of this mentorship to inform the development of a community-based violence prevention model. Methods: This community service program (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat - PkM) employs a participatory action research (PAR) approach and a qualitative phenomenological design. The method involved collaborative engagement with ten senior santri through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Moustakas phenomenological method. Results: The analysis identified seven core themes defining the mentorship, including its role as moral leadership, a shift from authority to empathy, and its function as a reflective, spiritual practice for violence prevention. The findings position peer mentorship as a foundational element for humanistic education (tarbiyah Islamiyah) and provide a basis for developing ethical training models to foster safe, non-violent educational environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformational leadership of ulil amri from a living Qur’an perspective based on Surah An-Nisa verses 59 and 83 and its implications for the character development of hafidzoh at Ma’had Tahfidz Al-Husni. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the values of obedience, responsibility, and wisdom embedded in Surah An-Nisa verses 59 and 83 are implemented through exemplary leadership, character development programs, and institutional policies oriented toward the internalization of Qur’anic values. This implementation fosters internal motivation among hafidzoh to practice honesty, discipline, responsibility, and justice in their daily lives. Furthermore, transformational leadership of ulil amri not only produces formal compliance but also develops sustainable collective awareness. Therefore, transformational leadership based on the living Qur’an approach is proven to be effective in systematically and sustainably shaping the character of hafidzoh within the context of Qur’an-based educational institutions.

Abstract

Minimnya pemahaman yang mendalam tentang fikih shalat seringkali berimplikasi pada aspek teknis peribadatan, salah satunya yaitu adanya ketidak sesuaian penggunaan mukena di kalangan jama’ah muslimah yang ada di wilayah dusun Bogem. Fenomena ini menunjukkan adanya kesenjangan antara syarat sah shalat menutup aurat secara sempurna dengan praktik budaya berpakaian yang selama ini diwariskan secara turun temurun. Tanpa pemahaman yang persisi mengenai batas aurat ketika melaksanakan ibadah shalat, kualitas ritual shalat menjadi rentan secara hukum fikih. Untuk mengatasi persoalan tersebut, penelitian ini menerapkan eksperimen metode demonstrasi yang di intergrasikan dengan teori belajar sosial. Pendekatan ini dipilih karena efektivitasnya dalam merekonstruksi pemahaman jama’ah melalui proses observasi, imitasi, dan identifikasi perilaku secara langsung. Melalui peragaan praktis, jama’ah tidak hanya menyerap teori secara kognitif, tetapi juga mampu mempraktikkan cara penggunaan mukena yang benar dan sesuai dengan syari’at Islam. Standar utama yang diproyeksikan dalam pendampingan ini merupakan perumusan standar baku penggunaan mukena syar’i yang bersifat adabtif. Inovasi ini bertujuan untuk menyelaraskan antara unsur kearifan lokal dusun Bogem dengan standar hukum Islam dalam menutup aurat. Hasil yang diharapkan berupa panduan praktis yang memastikan bahwa lekuk tubuh dan batas aurat dapat tertutup dengan sempurna tanpa harus menghilangkan identitas budaya setempat. Standarisasi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas ibadah muslimah dusun Bogem, sekaligus menjadi model edukasi fikih aplikatif yang dapat direplikasikan di wilayah lain dengan tantangan serupa. Dengan demikian, kesempurnaan shalat dapat dicapai melalui sinergi antara ilmu agama dan kearifan lokal.
