Abstract

This research aims to know the performance of the reproduction of a female Peranakan Ettawa that is held in Tandebura village. This research was conducted in October to November 2018 in Tandebura subdistrict Watubangga District Kolaka Regency. Population Data of goat's cattle Ettawa (PE) is obtained from direct observation and Resort Livestock Village The Tandebura. Subsequent data is treated descriptively using the CR and NRR formulas followed by correlation analysis.  The observed variables are the Conception Rate (CR0 and the Non-Return Rate (NRR).  The results of the study showed the success of natural wedding in Tandebura sub-district Watubangga Kolaka District is a good value of CR (76.05%) and the NRR (83.09%).  The amount of the collapse of CR-NRR + 1, can be concluded that the success of the natural Wedding Goat breeds Ettawa (PE) females with the number of goat cattle PE as much as 71 tails in the category of right according to the CR and NRR standards and have a solid coloration.

Abstract

The study was aimed to determine the effect of granting Soybean meal protection against nitrogen balance of thin tailed sheep (male). The experimental animals were 16 thin tailed sheeps (males) aged 8 months old  with average body weight of 11.81 ± 1.65 kg. The research was assigned in completely randomized design (CRD) 4 treatments and 4 replicates T0 (complete feed + soybean meal without tannins), T1 (complete feed + protected soybean meal 0.5% tannins), T2 (complete feed + protected soybean meal 1% tannin), and T3 (complete feed + protected soybean meal 1.5% tannins). The parameters observed dry matter intake (DMI), DMI /% BB, DMI / BB0.75, nitrogen intake (NI), N-Faecal, N-Urine, N-Digested and N-Retention. Data were variance analyzed  by F test (P0.05), followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The results showed that DMI, DMI /% BB, DMI / BB0.75, nitrogen intake (NI), N-Faecal and N-Digested no effect (P0,05) of treatment. N-Retention Lowest in T2 (9,87 g/day) while  T0 (11,76 g/day), T1 (11,71 g/day), T3(11,86 g/day) no significant (P0,05), inversely with N-Urine decreased in T2 (3,09 g/day) dan T0 (2,04g/day), T1 (2,23 g/day) dan T3 (1,95 g/day) no significant (P0,05) as a result of treatment. Based on the results of this study concluded that the use of various mangrove leaf tannin levels up to 1.5%  to protect soybean meal no effect on consumption, N-Faecal, and N-digested but protection cake with tannin 1% decrease N-retention and increase the excretion of N-Urine.

Abstract

Customary leaders have dominant roles and influences, these facts are shown in the land clearing process (monahundau) and the harvesting process (meolu) of paddy rice crop. These processes begin with the opening ceremony or in the form of a small ritual carried out by customary leader numbering one person called Puusaraormandaranosara. The purpose of this study is to find out how the role of customary leaders in decision-making in the ethics of land clearing and harvesting processes in paddy rice farmers. Analysis of the data used in the form of qualitative descriptive analysis, where the data obtained is then described qualitatively using the Miles and Huberman model which consists of three stages, namely (1) Data Reduction, (2) Data Presentation, (3) Conclusion Drawing / Verification. The results of this study indicated that land clearing (monahundau) and the harvesting process (meolu) were influenced by hereditary customs in Puday Village, Wonggeduku Barat Sub-District, Konawe District. Monahundau is a land clearing process which is the first step to open a new planting season every year. Meoluis a harvesting process that is carried out in the same steps as the process of land clearing (observation, reciting intentions and praying silently for the best wishes desired in the harvesting process), and the final step is done by investigating at the rice fields who first turned yellow (ripe), then the rice fields that will be harvested first, the rice begins to be harvested when there is already a statement then the other farmers' land that has yellowed (ripe) may be harvested by themselves (meoludowo). Customary leaders are people chosen by the people of Puday village (puusaraormandaranosara) and have an influnce on decision making in the process of land clearing (monahundau) andharvesting (meolu)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknologi amofer terhadap kualitas fisik dan pH jerami padi organik dan anorganik. Menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial (2 faktor), yaitu faktor A: jenis jerami padi (organik dan anorganik) dan faktor B: jenis starter (kontrol, EM4, dan MOL), setiap perlakuan diulang 4 kali. Proses dimulai dengan pembuatan MOL (mikroorganisme lokal) dan dilanjutkan dengan pengolahan jerami padi menggunakan teknologi amofer. Parameter yang diamati meliputi aroma, tekstur, warna, jamur, dan pH. Uji Kualitas fisik dilakukan dengan skoring penilaian silase, sementara pH diukur menggunakan pH meter. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji ANOVA, dengan uji wilayah berganda Duncan untuk perbandingan lebih lanjut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi antara jenis jerami padi (faktor A) dan jenis starter (faktor B) tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap aroma, tekstur, warna, jamur, dan pH (P>0,05). Faktor A menunjukkan pengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap semua parameter yang diamati. Namun, faktor B, terbukti memberikan peningkatan signifikan pada aroma, warna, tekstur, dan pH (P<0,01) dibandingkan jerami segar. Dengan demikian, kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan EM4 dan MOL sebagai starter pada proses amofer jerami padi, baik organik maupun anorganik, terbukti meningkatkan kualitas jerami padi secara fisik dan mampu menurunkan nilai pH dibandingkan dengan jerami segar. Tidak ditemukan interaksi signifikan antara jenis jerami padi dan jenis starter terhadap kualitas jerami padi amofer

Abstract

Will every increase in farming scale decrease the cost per unit of output? Prices for inputs and outputs constantly fluctuate, affecting general livestock production and broiler farming. Consequently, raising livestock farming's efficiency and deciding on its size were in line with the demands of the local economic environment, leading to a rise in livestock revenue. In livestock farming, increasing the farming scale encourages the improvement of livestock infrastructure and the necessary time allocation for farming management. For Farmers, the insights from the findings of this study will provide direction for optimal resource allocation in business development. Furthermore, it helps enrich new insights into the relationship between income, labor time, and scale, especially livestock farming. This study aimed to describe the Interdependence of Income, Characteristics of Working Time, and Farming Scale on broiler farms. This study was conducted in 2023, involving 51 broiler farmers, with farm income, working time, and farm-scale variables as the primary focus. Data analysis was conducted descriptively. The findings indicate that enlarging the scale of broiler farming leads to higher revenue, although necessitating the enlargement of cage space, procurement of more equipment, and the recruitment of additional labor from external sources. The research discovered that expanding the scale of farming leads not only to increased income from broiler farming but also necessitates enlarging the housing area and acquiring additional broiler farming equipment. The available household labor is only adequate to meet the demands of small-scale broiler farming operations. Consequently, at larger scales, farmers rely more on external labor. As a result, the anticipated cost per unit output reduction in broiler farming due to scale expansion does not materialize, as the increased expenditure on additional labor for broiler farming offsets it.

Abstract

Pakan di Indonesia masih menjadi kendala utama dalam peternakan baik secara kuantitas maupun kualitas, sehingga penggunaan hijauan pakan ternak selain rumput budidaya dan rumput lapang menjadi alternatif dalam mencukupi kebutuhan ternak. Salah satu hijauan pakan ternak yang bisa menjadi alternatif adalah limbah pertanian, tetapi kualitas limbah pertanian berbeda-beda disetiap daerah sehingga membutuhkan analisis baik kimia maupun biologis untuk mengetahui kualitasnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas kecernaan limbah pertanian yang dapat dijadikan alternatif pakan pada ternak ruminansia menggunakan teknik produksi gas. Limbah pertanian yang digunakan berjumlah 6 buah yang berasal dari peternakan sapi perah Lembang. Hasil penelitian terdapat 6 jenis limbah pertanian yang terdiri dari jerami padi, kulit kacang tanah, daun pisang, daun labu, daun ubi dan sawi putih. Dilihat dari hasil kinetika produksi gas kulit kacang tanah mempunyai potensi dijadikan sebagai bahan pakan tunggal maupun sebagai bahan pakan tambahan untuk sumber hijauan karena nilai (a+b) yang tinggi dan konstanta c yang rendah yang dapat diartikan bahwa kulit kacang merupakan jenis bahan pakan yang lambat difermentasi tetapi menghasilkan gas yang maksimal. Selain kinetika gas nilai kecernaan bahan organik (KBO), energi metabolisme (EM) dan asam lemak rantai pendek limbah pertanian kulit kacang tanah cukup tinggi dibandingkan dengan limbah pertanian lainya, sehingga kulit kacang tanah dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alternatif pakan untuk ternak ruminansia.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengukur kinerja pengelolaan peternakan ayam ras pedaging sekaligus menganalisis hubungan berbagai faktor yang menyebabkan perbedaan capaian kinerja peternakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang dihasilkan dari pelaksanaan metode sensus dengan menggunakan daftar pertanyaan (kuesioner) pada setiap responden peternak ayam ras pedaging yang berdomisili di Kabupaten Kolaka Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Metode analisis data dilakukan dalam 2 tahap yaitu Pengukuran Kinerja Peternakan yakni tingkat mortalitas, rerata bobot panen ayam, tingkat konversi pakan rerata umur panen, Index Performance Farm, dan analisis Korelasi. Kinerja peternakan ayam ras pedaging pada petani plasma di Kabupaten Kolaka tergolong baik, dimana tingkat mortalitas sebesar 2,6 persen, rerata bobot panen ayam 1.659 Kg, rerata tingkat konversi pakan sebesar 1.402, rerata umur panen ayam 30 hari, dan Index Performance Farm sebesar 384. Kinerja Peternakan tersebut berkorelasi signifikan dengan ketebalan litter dan rerata umur panen. Temuan ini dapat digunakan oleh Perusahaan Inti Ayam Pedaging untuk menjadi standar baru dalam menjalankan peternakan per periode, terutama mengenai tingkat ketebalan Litter dan lama umur panen ayam.

Abstract

Fish-balls Processing businesses in Korumba Subdistrict, Kendari City, are generally home industry that are conducted to fill leisure time and in form household scale. This product can be enriched with Moringa leaves and chopped carrots, which are the source of vegetable protein and fiber. The target of community service is Dasawisma Kemuning which has 10 members. The objective of these community service efforts is to enhance the knowledge and abilities of Dasawisma Kemuning members in terms of (1) the production process of fish balls in healthy way and nutritious; (2) principles of making hygienic functional fish balls (3) business implementation of processed functional fish ball products that enriched with Moringa leaves and chopped carrots on a household scale; (4) the benefits of processed fish ball products as functional food that is cheap, healthy and nutritious. Derived from the entirety of training activities, not only in discussions, but also in demonstrations of making functional fish balls. The findings indicated that participants' understanding of the training content improved significantly, rising from an average score of 27.55% before the training to 98.25% in the final evaluation. Based on field implementation from the functional fish ball business shows that a raw material requirement of 2 kg/day, 295 fish balls were obtained. Based price per item of IDR 1100,- a profit/month of IDR is obtained. 3,135.00,-. Calculations of the financial aspects of functional fish balls have been resulting in a BEP value (product units sold) of 746. If in one month you can sell 746 fish balls, all costs incurred in a month are covered.

Abstract

Literasi digital dalam pembelajaran merupakan keterampilan esensial di era teknologi saat ini yang memungkinkan mahasiswa untuk mengakses, memanfaatkan, dan memahami informasi secara digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur hubungan dan pengaruh literasi digital terhadap prestasi akdemik mahasiswa pada mata kuliah rumpun matematika. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian deskrptif kuantitatif expose facto, Populasi dari penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa peserta mata kuliah rumpun matematika di Universitas Terbuka Makassar. Sampling penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Purposive sampling. Variabel yang diukur meliputi literasi digital (X1), kondisi sosial ekonomi (X2), dan faktor pendukung literasi digital (X3) terhadap prestasi akademik (Y) dengan menggunakan korelasi Pearson. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner Skala Lykert yang disebarkan melalui Google Form sehingga diperoleh sebanyak 139 responden, dan dianalisis menggunakan SPSS 25. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara literasi digital (X1) dengan kondisi sosial ekonomi (X2) (r = 0,604) dan faktor pendukung literasi digital (X3) (r = 0,590), dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,01. Selain itu, terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kondisi sosial ekonomi (X2) dan faktor pendukung literasi digital (X3) (r = 0,619). Namun, tidak ditemukan hubungan signifikan antara variabel independen (X1, X2, X3) dengan prestasi akademik (Y), di mana semua nilai korelasi antara Y dengan ketiga variabel independen sangat rendah dan tidak signifikan secara statistik. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa prestasi akademik tidak dipengaruhi secara signifikan oleh literasi digital, kondisi ekonomi, dan dukungan infrastruktur dalam konteks analisis ini.
