Abstract

Melimpahnya sumber pakan, baik berupa jagung, ampas tahu, dan kulit ari kedelai di Desa Alebo, Kecamatan Konda, Konawe Selatan, dapat dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan produksi ayam kampung sehingga dapat diperoleh hasil yang optimal. Usaha produksi ayam kampung yang dijalankan masyarakat Desa Alebo masih terbatas untuk tujuan produksi daging dan sangat memungkinkan untuk dikembangkan menjadi usaha produksi ayam kampung dengan tujuan menghasilkan telur baik untuk telur konsumsi maupun untuk telur bibit. Program PKM ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peternak dalam memanfaatkan sumber pakan yang ada di sekitar peternak untuk membuat pakan ayam kampung yang berkualitas dengan harga murah, dalam mengaplikasikan teknologi reproduksi, serta pencegahan penyakit untuk mendukung produktivitas ayam kampung. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kegiatan non fisik meliputi diskusi dan praktek bersama, serta metode kegiatan fisik berupa pelatihan pembuatan pakan, inseminasi buatan, dan pengoperasian mesin tetas.

Abstract

One of chicken farming byproduct that has potential to be processed to become more economical product is manure. If not treated well, the manure could spread odour and become the media for parasitic vectors like flies. Chicken manure can be processed into organic fertilizer for vegetable farming. Aside from personal use, the organic fertilizer then can be sold and increase the farmers’ income especially in COVID-19 pandemic where most economical sector collapsed. The problem faced by farmers at Anggalomelai, Abeli sub-district was their lack of knowledge on manure processing technologies. This themed KKN Program by FPt UHO aimed to offer solutions for farmers by giving technical guidance and counseling on manure processing technologies. This program was held for one month starting from June 13th until July 13th, 2020 on Anggomelai, Abeli sub-district, Kendari. The program was carried by technical guidance and counseling for farmers, either face to face or online by still maintaining the COVID-19 prevention protocols. Result obtained from this program showed the increasing knowledge of farmers in Anggomelai, Abeli sub-district especially in prrocessing chicken manure into organic fertilizer for vegetable farming.

Abstract

Pengembangan ayam kampung dikalangan masyarakat memiliki peran yang sangat besar bagi kehidupannya terutama di pedesaan sebagai penghasil daging dan telur konsumsi dan sebagai sumber tambahan pendapatan, namun diberlakukannya Sosial Dintancing guna memutus penyebaran COVID-19, mengharuskan aktivitas masyarakat harus bekerja dari rumah (Work From Home), kondisi tersebut menyebabkan penurunan pendapatan masyarakat. Masalah yang dihadapi oleh peternak adalah kurangnya pengetahuan peternak tentang teknologi aplikatif budidaya ayam kampung yang dapat diterapkan di era pandemi COVID-19guna mempertahankan usahanya. Melalui program KKN-Tematik FPt UHO transfer Inovasi teknologi seleksi bibit unggul dan inseminasi buatan (IB), merupakan alternatif pemecahan masalah yang dihadapi peternak. Program ini dilaksanakan selama 1 (satu) bulan yaitu dimulai sejak tanggal 13 Juni 2020 sampai dengan tanggal 13 Juli 2020, di Kecamatan Nambo Kota Kendari. Pelaksanaan program dilakukan dalam bentuk Bimbingan Teknis (Bimtek) dan Penyuluhan yaitu (1) Bimtek dan Penyuluhan secara virtual/online; dan (2) Bimtek dan Penyuluhan dengan metode tatap muka baik secara individu ataupun lebih dan tetap memperhatikan protokol pencegahan Covid-19. Adapun materi penyuluhan program pemberdayaan ini, yaitu tehnik seleksi bibit unggul dan teknologi inseminasi buatan (IB) pada ayam kampung super. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan hasil yang telah dicapai pada kegiatan ini, yaitu adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang seleksi bibit unggul dan inseminasi buatan (IB), sehingga di era pandemi Covid-19 peternak ayam kampung tetap dapat mengembangkan keberlanjutan usahanya dan mampu mempertahankan ataupun meningkatkan pendapatanya.Kata Kunci: Ayam Kampung, Bibit Unggul, Inseminasi Buatan

Abstract

The lack of knowledge and skills in preparing domestic chicken rations will affect farmers' incomes. The fact so far shows that commercial animal feed that meets the local market of Southeast Sulawesi comes from outside the Southeast Sulawesi region, particularly South Sulawesi and Java. The price of commercial feed is certainly not cheap and is increasing from year to year, which affects the poor purchasing power of farmers. Improving farmers' knowledge and skills through technical guidance and advice as part of the FPHO Thematic Community Service Program will provide knowledge about the production of domestic chicken feed for farm animals to meet the food needs needed for growth, development and reproduction . This service will run for a month starting June 13, 2020 through July 13, 2020 in Nambo Village, Nambo District, Kendari City. This non-profit activity was carried out with the involvement of the participants in the UHO FPt Thematic KKN. The program is implemented in the form of technical guidance and advice, namely (1) technical guidance and virtual / online advice; and (2) technical guidance and advice using personal methods both individually and over and in compliance with the Covid 19 Prevention Protocol. The material for this Community Service Extension program is the technology for the production of animal feed based on local raw materials. Based on the activities undertaken, the results of FPt UHO's thematic community service will improve farmers 'knowledge and skills in producing local chicken feed based on local raw materials to reduce feed costs and improve farmers' income in Nambo village, Nambo District

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is a health crisis that is affecting almost all parts of the world community. The corona virus affects not only the health sector but also other sectors such as education, social affairs, culture, religion and the economy. The livestock industry, especially poultry, also felt the effects. One of the areas affected by COVID-19 is the Nambo District in Kendari City. Farmers find it difficult to get local DOC chickens because the breeding company limits DOC production. The economic innovation in slip machine technology is an alternative problem solving for the procurement of DOC. The FPt UHO Thematic KKN program, through the technical support of local chicken breeders through the introduction of innovative economic incubator technology, is expected to overcome the problems of people losing their source of income while maintaining the COVID-19 protocol. This activity program will run from June 13, 2020 to July 13, 2020 for one month in the Nambo District of Kendari City. The program is implemented in the form of Technical Guidance and Counseling, whereby the Covid 19 prevention protocol is still observed. The results of the KKN Tematik FPt UHO program, namely to improve the knowledge and skills of farmers by applying simple technological innovations through technical guidance to produce economical incubators that can reduce the cost of purchasing DOC increase farmers' income during the COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract

Biosecurity is an integral concept that influences the success of livestock production systems, especially in reducing the risks and consequences of infectious and non-communicable diseases. The problem faced by breeders in Abeli District is the lack of knowledge of breeders about maintenance systems that meet the eligibility standards of commercial native chicken farms, handling biosecurity, sanitation and animal health against diseases that are not yet optimal, so that native village chickens are often exposed to various diseases. Through the Thematic KKN FPt UHO program, efforts should be made to improve the knowledge and skills of farmers about bisecurity management that meets the standards for commercial village chicken farms. This service is carried out for one month, starting from June 13, 2020 to July 13, 2020, Abeli District, Kendari City. This community service activity was carried out by involving Thematic KKN FPt UHO participants. The program is carried out in the form of Technical Guidance and Counseling, namely (1) Bimtek and virtual / online counseling; and (2) Bimtek and counseling using face-to-face methods both individually and more and still pay attention to the Covid-19 prevention protocol. The material for this service program is handling biosecurity, sanitation and animal health. The results that have been achieved in the Thematic KKN FPt UHO program are improving the knowledge and skills of breeders in biosecurity management procedures which include three main activities namely isolation, traffic control and sanitation as an effort to prevent transmission of disease in native chicken farms

Abstract

ABSTRACT The supply DOC of super free-range chicken in Southeast Sulawesi until now still comes from outside. This causes the DOC price to be quite high due to the high cost of transportation in the distribution process. In addition, the pandemic period also made the situation more difficult to obtain DOC from outside which had an impact on the lack of supply of super free-range chicken. Therefore, it is necessary to independently procure a source of DOC for free-range chicken. This community service aims to provide a source of information and training in the use of AI technology and the use of feed based on local feed ingredients to the community through the FPT-UHO Village Development Program. This service is carried out in a group of native chicken farmers in Mokoau Village, Kambu sub-district, Kendari City by involving various components such as community leaders, youth and government officials. This activity is carried out by means of online and offline presentations and training. The results obtained in this service are in the form of DOC (according to standards), free-range chickens that have a high body weight, free-range chicken feed based on local feed resources, scientific articles and theses. Based on the results of this activity, it can be concluded that the FPT-UHO village development program is able to improve the ability of farmers to utilize AI technology and feed processing technology based on local feed ingredients. Hal ini mengakibatkan harga DOC cukup tinggi karena mahalnya biaya transportasi dalam proses ditribusinya. Selain itu masa pandemi juga menjadikan situasi lebih sulit untuk memperoleh DOC dari luar yang berdampak pada kurangnya pasokan daging ayam kampung super. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya pengadaan sumber DOC ayam kampung secara mandiri. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sumber informasi dan pelatihan dalam pemanfaatan teknologi IB dan pemanfaatan pakan berbasis bahan pakan lokal kepada masyarakat melalui Program Bina Desa FPT-UHO. Pengabdian ini dilakukan di kelompok peternak ayam kampung di Kelurahan Mokoau, kecamatan Kambu, Kota Kendari dengan melibatkan berbagai komponen seperti tokoh masyarakat, pemuda dan aparat pemerintah. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan cara persentasi dan pelatihan secara daring dan luring. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam pengabdian ini berupa DOC (sesuai dengan standar), ayam kampung yang memiliki bobot badan yang tinggi, pakan ayam kampung berbasis sumber daya pakan lokal, artikel ilmiah dan skripsi. Berdasarkan hasil kegian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa program bina desa FPT-UHO mampu meningkatkan kemampuan peternak untuk memanfaatkan teknologi IB dan teknologi pengolahan pakan berbasis bahan pakan lokal. Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penambahan ramuan herbal yang dikombinasikan dengan ekstrak kerang bakau (Polymesoda erosa) di dalam pakan terhadap kadar kolesterol, asam urat dan glukosa darah ayam buras. Penelitian menggunakan 100 ekor ayam buras yang dipelihara mulai dari umur satu hari (DOC) sampai dengan umur 16 minggu. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas R0 (pakan basal + 0% probiotik herbal + 0% ekstrak kerang bakau), R1 (pakan basal + 0,75% probiotik herbal + 1,5% ekstrak kerang bakau), R2 (pakan basal + 1,5% probiotik herbal + 3% ekstrak kerang bakau), R3 (pakan basal + 2,25% probiotik herbal + 4,5% ekstrak kerang bakau) dan R4 (pakan basal + 3% probiotik herbal + 6% ekstrak kerang bakau). Data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rataan kolesterol darah yang diperoleh adalah berturut-turut 185,00±7,30 (P0), 185,75±6,80 (P1), 153,25±19,06 (P2), 167,75±17,72 (P3), 214,00±19,18 (P4). Rataan asam urat dalam darah yang diperoleh adalah 3,95±0,58 (P0), 6,70±4,23 (P1), 4,10±0,64 (P2), 4,32±1,27 (P3), 6,30±2,27 (P4). Sedangkan rataan glukosa darah yang diperoleh adalah 231±20,19 (P0), 188,50±24,63 (P1), 223,50±32,19 (P2), 227,25±68,61 (P3), 236,50±28,43 (P4).   Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ramuan herbal dan ekstrak kerang bakau dalam pakan dapat mempengaruhi kadar kolestrol darah, namun tidak mempengaruhi kadar asam urat dan glukosa darah ayam buras. Kadar kolesterol darah terendah diperoleh pada perlakuan R2 dan R3 yang nyata berbeda dengan perlakuan R0, R1 dan R4.Kata Kunci: ayam buras, ramuan herbal, kolesterol, asam urat, glukosa darah.ABSTRACTKeywords:  blood glucose, cholesterol, herbal concoction, uric acid, village chickenThe objectives of this research was to evaluate the effect of agricultural by product-based feed supplemented with herbal concoction (HC) and mud clams extract (MC) on blood cholesterol, uric acid and blood glucose concentration. Completely randomized design was used with 4 treatments and 4 replications.  Ninety day old chick of local village chicken was used in this experiment and kept up to 16 weeks during the experiment. The treatments consisted of basal feed (R0), basal feed + 0.75% HC + 1.5% MC (R1), basal feed + 1.5% HC + 3.0% MC (R2), basal feed + 2.25% HC + 4.5% MC (R3), basal feed + 3.0% HC + 6.0% MC (R4).  All data were analyzed using analysis of variance and different between treatments were proved using Duncan multiple range test. The results showed that the concentrations of blood cholesterol gained (mg/dl) were 185.00±7.30 (P0), 185.75±6.80 (P1), 153.25±19.06 (P2), 167.75±17.72 (P3), 214.00±19.18 (P4). The concentration of uric acid gained (mg/dl) were 3.95±0.58 (P0), 6.70±4.23 (P1), 4.10±0.64 (P2), 4.32±1.27 (P3), 6.30±2.27 (P4). Whereas, the glucose concentration gained (mg/dl) were 231.00±20.19 (P0), 188.50±24.63 (P1), 223.50±32.19 (P2), 227.25±68.61 (P3), 236.50±28.43 (P4). Based on variance analysis it was concluded that the treatments gave a significant effect (P<0.05) on blood cholesterol concentration, but had no effect (P>0.05) on uric acid and blood glucose concentration. Blood cholesterol concentrations were significant lower in treatment R2 and R3 compared to treatment R0, R1 and R4.Keywords:  blood glucose, cholesterol, herbal concoction, uric acid, village chicken

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian adalah mengevaluasi level penambahan minyak ikan lemuru dalam ransum ayam kampung terhadap profil lemak darah.Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalahayam kampung betina umur 24 minggu. Bahan pakan yang digunakan adalah minyak ikan lemuru, bekatul, jagung giling, bungkil kedelai, minyak sawit, tepung ikan, dan premix multi mineral dan vitamin. Metode penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL).  Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah T0 = Penggunaan minyak ikan lemuru sebanyak 0%, T1 = Penggunaan minyak ikan lemuru sebanyak 2%, T2 = Penggunaan minyak ikan lemuru sebanyak 4%, T3 = Penggunaan minyak ikan lemuru sebanyak 6%. Parameter yang diamati adalah kolesterol total, kadar High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) dan Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) darah ayam kampung. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi yang dilanjutkan uji duncan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dengan minyak ikan lemuru pada level tertinggi berpengaruhnyata (P<0,05) terhadap kolesterol total, kadar HDL dan LDL darah.Kesimpulan penelitian adalah pemberian minyak ikan lemuru sampai 6% dapat digunakan dalam campuran pakan ayam kampung.Kata kunci: Profil lemak darah, ayam lokal, minyak ikan lemuruABSTRACTThe aimed of the study was to evaluate the level of addition lemuru fish oil in the ration of local chicken on the blood fat profile. The research materials used was female local chickens aged 24 weeks. The feed materials used are lemuru fish oil, rice bran, milled corn, soybean meal, palm oil, fish meal as well as multimineral and vitamin premix. The research method using a complete by randomized design. The treatments are given wereT0= lemuru fish oil as much as 0%, T1 = lemuru fish oil as much as 2%, T2 = lemuru fish oil as much as 4%, T3 = lemuru fish oil as much as 6%. The observed variables were total cholesterol, levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) of local chicken blood. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance and was continued with Duncan test. The results showed that the treatment with lemuru fish oil at the highest level had a significant effect (P<0.05) on total cholesterol, HDL levels, and LDL blood. The conclusion of the study is that the provision of lemuru fish oil up to 6% can be used in native chicken feed mix.Keywords: The blood fat profile, local chicken, lemuru fish oil
