Abstract

The community service program aims to increase the capacity of goat farming in Toari District, Kolaka Regency, with a focus on increasing farmers' knowledge and skills in livestock management. Through a series of ongoing training and mentoring activities, breeders are equipped with knowledge about livestock management, selecting superior seeds, feed management, livestock health care, financial management and marketing. Program implementation was carried out in an interactive and participatory manner, followed by regular assistance, which resulted in significant improvements in understanding, skills and welfare of farmers, as well as goat livestock productivity. In addition to providing individual benefits, the program also strengthens cross-sector collaboration, creating the potential to improve the overall sustainability of the goat farming sector in the region

Abstract

The community service program in Toari District, Kolaka Regency aims to increase institutional capacity and management of goat livestock. By identifying the needs and challenges of breeders, a comprehensive training and mentoring program was developed. Training includes livestock management, selection of superior seeds, feed management, livestock health care, financial management and marketing. Regular mentoring provides continuous support to farmers after training is completed, so they can implement the skills and knowledge they have acquired into their daily farming practices. The results of implementing this program show a significant increase in farmers' understanding and skills regarding goat management. Farmers become better able to recognize and deal effectively with livestock health, nutrition and reproductive problems, which in turn improves livestock welfare and livestock business productivity. Apart from that, the increase in the welfare of farmers can also be seen from the increase in their income and ability to manage livestock businesses efficiently. This program has also succeeded in strengthening cross-sector collaboration between the government, educational institutions and other stakeholders. This collaboration is the basis for the sustainability of the goat farming sector in the region, because it allows for the exchange of knowledge, resources and support between various related parties

Abstract

Pelatihan pengolahan data sederhana via Microsoft Execl pada hasil belajar siswa  sangat diperlukan oleh guru, termasuk guru yang ada di Kabupaten Pangkep. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini didasarkan pada hasil analisis sebelumnya tentang performa para guru dalam mengelola hasil belajar di Sekolah Dasar (SD). Rendahnya kreativitas guru dalam mengelola hasil belajar siswanya yang masih dilakukan secara manual dalam menentukan nilai tertinggi dan terendah membuat team PkM Dosen UT-Makassar menjadikan sebagai kegiatan PkM pada tahun 2024. Tujuan pelatihan ini agar guru SD dapat menggunakan  Microsoft Execl dalam mengolah data sederhana pada hasil belajar siswa yang ada di kelasnya, seperti menentukan:  nilai rata-rata, nilai tertinggi, nilai terendah, dan grafik prestasi siswa. Metode PkM yang dilaksanakan adalah presentasi, pelatihan, simulasi dalam mengolah nilai hasil belajar siswa via microsoft execl. Kegiatan PkM ini berjalan dengan baik yang     dihadiri sebanyak 51 orang dari 55 guru yang diundang, dan merupakan perwakilan dari guru SD yang ada di Kabupaten Pangkep. Berdasarkan evaluasi ketercapaian kegiatan PkM diedarkan instrument kegiatan, ada 96% peserta menyatakan bahwa mereka merasa sesuai tugas guru SD dengan kegiatan PkM ini, bahkan hasil dari instrument kepuasan mitra dan peserta terhadap pelaksanaan PkM ini mencapai 100% sangat puas.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini didasarkan pada hasil analisis sebelumnya tentang performa para guru dalam mengajarkan konsep geometri di Sekolah Dasar (SD). Hasil tersebut mengungkap fakta tentang minimnya alat peraga geometri di SD dan rendahnya kreativitas guru dalam membuat alat peraga geometri konkret pada pembelajaran yang dikelolanya. Sebagian guru SD di Kabupaten Pangkep mengajarkan konsep geometri dengan mengambil file via kanal youtube lalu menayangkannya  dengan Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) sehingga tidak menciptakan pembelajaran yang bermakna bagi siswanya. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, kegiatan PkM dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk memperdalam pemahaman konsep dan melatih guru SD dalam pembuatan alat peraga geometri konkret. Adapun tujuan dari kegiatan PkM ini adalah: (1) membuat alat peraga  geometri konkret, (2) mengimplementasikan alat peraga hasil pelatihan di kelas tempat tugas masing-masing, dan (3) menularkan pembuatan alat peraga geometri konkret kepada teman sejawatnya. Metode PkM yang dilaksanakan adalah memberikan pelatihan/ pendampingan pada guru SD dalam membuat alat peraga geometri konkret melalui presentasi, peragaan, pembuatan, dan simulasi penggunaan alat peraga yang telah dibuat oleh peserta. Kegiatan PkM ini berjalan dengan baik, terlihat dari kehadiran para guru SD yang mengikuti kegiatan sesuai target yaitu sebanyak 50 orang. Berdasarkan angket yang disebarkan, 88,5% peserta menyatakan bahwa mereka merasa puas dengan kegiatan ini. Abstract. results of prior analysis from the teachers performance in teaching the geometry concepts to elementary schools (SD). The results reveals the fact about the lack of geometric teaching aids in elementary schools and lack of creativities from the teachers when it comes to create concrete geometric teaching props in the subjects they responsible for. Some of the teachers in Pangkep taught the geometric concepts by using contents from YouTube channels and showing them on a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and it does not create meaningful learning for their students. Based on that circumstance, PkM activities were carried out to enhance the understanding of concepts and train the elementary school teachers on making concrete geometric teaching props. The objective of this activities to  (1) make concrete geometric props, (2) implement the training props in their respective classes, and (3) influence their peers to create concrete geometric props. The PkM method implemented to provides training/accompaniment to elementary school teachers in making concrete geometric teaching props through presentations, demonstrations, creating and simulating the use of props that have been made by participants. The PkM activity went well, as seen from the presence of 50 elementary school teachers whose taking part on  this activity according to the target. According to the questionnaire distributed, 88.5% of participants admit that they were satisfied with this activity.

Abstract

Community Service activities were carried out in Parepare City, Bacukiki District, South Sulawesi Province, precisely at the First High School of Negeri 3 Parepare. The objectives of this activity are to: (1) Increase teachers' knowledge in processing and analyzing research data; (2) Increase awareness and knowledge in teachers about the importance of data management in research data analysis; (3) Increase teachers' insights, abilities, and skills in utilizing data to be more informative with data analysis using excel software; and (4) Reduce the number of teachers who do data processing and analysis intuitively and manually in the computing era. The method used was counseling and teaching, discussion, and training in collaboration between the implementer and the first partner. This method was implemented for all teachers of SMP Negeri 3 Parepare, who were trained for 2 to 4 days and then gradual evaluation and monitoring were carried out periodically for 2 months. The resulting outputs are: (1) increased teacher knowledge in processing and analyzing research data; (2) increased awareness and knowledge of teachers about the importance of processing and analyzing research data; (3) increased teachers' insights, abilities, and skills in utilizing data to be more informative with proper data processing and analysis; and (4) reduced the number of teachers who carry out data processing and analysis intuitively and manually in the computing era, (5) increased competence of trainees in processing research data after training. Abstrak Kegiatan Ipteks bagi Masyarakat dilaksanakan di Kota Parepare Kecamatan Bacukiki, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan tepatnya di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 3 Parepare Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk: (1) Meningkatkan pengetahuan guru dalam pengolahan dan menganalisis data penelitian; (2) Meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan pada guru tentang pentingnya pengelolaan data dalam analisis data penelitian; (3) Meningkatkan wawasan, kemampuan, dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan data menjadi lebih informatif dengan analisis data menggunakan perangkat lunak excel; dan (4) Mengurangi jumlah guru yang melakukan pengolahan dan analisis data secara intuisi dan manual di era komputasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dan pengajaran, diskusi, dan pelatihan secara kolaborasi antara pelaksana dengan mitra pertama. Metode ini dilaksanakan kepada semua guru SMP Negeri 3 Parepare, yang dilatih selama 2 s/d 4 hari dan selanjutnya evaluasi bertahap dan monitoring dilakukan secara berkala selama 2 bulan. Luaran yang dihasilkan adalah: (1) pengetahuan guru bertambah dalam pengolahan dan dalam menganalisis data penelitian; (2) Meningkatnya kesadaran dan pengetahuan pada guru tentang pentingnya pengolahan dan analisis data penelitian; (3) Meningkatnya wawasan, kemampuan, dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan data menjadi lebih informatif dengan pengolahan dan analisis data yang tepat; dan (4) berkurangnya jumlah guru yang melakukan pengolahan dan analisis data secara intuisi dan manual di era komputasi, (5) Bertambahnya kompetensi peserta pelatihan dalam mengolah data penelitian setelah dilaksanakan pelatihan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran audio visual pada materi berbasis kontekstual siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunkan jenis penelitian kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D (define, design, develop, dan disseminate). Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN 23 Batara. Objek penelitian adalah media pembelajaran audio visual yang dikembangkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Adapun design media tersebut berupa media pembelajaran audio visual pada materi puisi. Untuk kevalidan media pembelajaran audio visual yang divalidasi oleh 3 orang ahli, yaitu ahli media dengan nilai 75% (kategori valid), ahli materi dengan nilai 77,77% (kategori valid), dan ahli bahasa dengan nilai 88,88% (kategori sangat valid), sedangkan untuk praktikalitas dari guru kelas V dengan nilai 93,18% (sangat praktis) dan hasil praktikalitas yang melibatkan 29 orang siswa memperoleh nilai 90,30% (sangat praktis). Namun, untuk itu penyebaran dilakukan di platfrom YouTube dan SDN 23 Batara.

Abstract

Kolaka Regency is recognised not only as a major rice producer but also as an important centre for smallholder livestock farming. The Rice-Cattle Integration System (R-CIS) has been identified as an effective approach to optimize local agricultural resources for smallholder livestock development. However, its dissemination has remained limited due to the uneven carrying capacity of rice fields across different regions. This study aimed to analyse the current and projected carrying capacity of rice fields in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi (20232024), considering land availability, livestock population, and feed resources. Data analysis included assessments of land carrying capacity, livestock density, livestock concentration index (LCI), and feed concentration index (FCI). Results indicated that Kolaka had 12,203 ha of rice fields, producing 3,188 tons of crude protein (CP) annually from unfermented rice straw and 10,539 tons CP/year from fermented straw. Feed distribution within the regency was uneven: in districts such as Baula, Pomalaa, Samaturu, Wolo, and Wundulako, livestock populations could be increased, whereas Toari and Watubangga exceeded carrying capacity even after straw fermentation. The study estimated that fermented straw could support an additional 24,335 livestock units (LU) across Kolaka Regency, equivalent to about 2,028 LU per district annually. These findings highlight the need for inter-district feed substitution and livestock redistribution. Overall, fermented rice straw significantly enhanced feed availability, thereby supporting sustainable livestock production.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a project-based mathematics module to enhance 21st century skills of junior high school students. The ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model was employed in this research. The results indicate that the developed module meets highly valid criteria based on expert validation: content expert (90%), media expert (89%), and language expert (97%). The practicality test involving 9 mathematics teachers shows a percentage of 93% (very practical), while the practicality test with 30 students demonstrates positive results in the very practical category. The module is designed in accordance with the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) and integrates project-based learning to develop students' critical thinking, creative thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and digital literacy skills.

Abstract

Unit Pembenihan Rakyat (UPR) Sipakatuo Kabupaten Pinrang merupakan salah satu pelaku usaha pembenihan ikan nila yang menghadapi tantangan dalam memperluas pasar. Selama ini, pemasaran masih terbatas pada metode manual dan pemanfaatan media sosial tanpa iklan berbayar. Hal ini berdampak pada stagnasi omzet meskipun permintaan pasar meningkat. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan omzet usaha melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan pemasaran digital. Metode kegiatan meliputi pelatihan pembuatan konten promosi, penggunaan google bisnis dan WhatsApp Bisnis, serta pendampingan implementasi strategi pemasaran digital. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi pengelola dalam membuat konten digital yang menarik, memperluas jangkauan konsumen, serta meningkatkan omzet penjualan benih. Kegiatan ini juga melibatkan mahasiswa sebagai pendamping lapangan yang memperoleh pengalaman praktis di luar kampus. Dengan demikian, pelatihan pemasaran digital terbukti efektif sebagai upaya pemberdayaan pengelola dan peningkatan daya saing UPR Sipakatuo di era digital.

Abstract

Generative artificial intelligence offers new opportunities to scaffold students’ mathematical reasoning, yet rigorous evidence of its impact on secondary students’ problem-solving remains limited. This study examined whether ChatGPT-driven adaptive learning improves eighth-grade students’ problem-solving performance on systems of linear equations in two variables (SPLDV) compared with conventional instruction. A pre–post-test control-group design was implemented with 47 eighth-grade students in Parepare, Indonesia (experimental n = 24; control n = 23) during the 2024/2025 academic year. The experimental group used ChatGPT as an adaptive tutor aligned with Polya’s stages (understand, plan, execute, look back) through guided prompts, hints, and feedback. In contrast, the control group received a lecture and practice. Students completed a six-item contextual SPLDV test scored with a Polya-based rubric. Between-group differences were tested on post-test scores and normalized gains after verifying normality and homogeneity assumptions. The experimental group achieved higher post-test performance (M = 68.33) than the control group (M = 59.57), with a significant difference (p = 0.019; η² = 0.117). Learning gains were also larger in the experimental group (mean N-gain = 0.34, medium) than in the control group (0.21, low; p = 0.001; η² = 0.372). Indicator-level patterns suggested the greatest improvements in understanding the problem and carrying out the plan, whereas devising a plan remained the most challenging stage in both groups. These findings indicate that ChatGPT-based adaptive scaffolding can enhance students’ mathematical problem-solving on SPLDV, but explicit teacher-guided routines are needed to strengthen strategic planning and the critical evaluation of AI outputs.
