This product can be enriched with Moringa leaves and chopped carrots, which are the source of vegetable protein and fiber. The target of community service is Dasawisma Kemuning which has 10 members. The objective of these community service efforts is to enhance the knowledge and abilities of Dasawisma Kemuning members in terms of (1) the production process of fish balls in healthy way and nutritious; (2) principles of making hygienic functional fish balls (3) business implementation of processed functional fish ball products that enriched with Moringa leaves and chopped carrots on a household scale; (4) the benefits of processed fish ball products as functional food that is cheap, healthy and nutritious. Derived from the entirety of training activities, not only in discussions, but also in demonstrations of making functional fish balls. The findings indicated that participants' understanding of the training content improved significantly, rising from an average score of 27.55% before the training to 98.25% in the final evaluation. Based on field implementation from the functional fish ball business shows that a raw material requirement of 2 kg/day, 295 fish balls were obtained. Based price per item of IDR 1100,- a profit/month of IDR is obtained. 3,135.00,-. Calculations of the financial aspects of functional fish balls have been resulting in a BEP value (product units sold) of 746. If in one month you can sell 746 fish balls, all costs incurred in a month are covered.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance the capacity of tilapia farmers at the UPR Kampung Tengah, Gowa Regency, in producing locally based, self-formulated feed. The main problem faced by farmers was the high cost of commercial feed, which accounted for 60–70% of total production expenses. To address this issue, a training program was conducted consisting of socialization on tilapia nutritional requirements, selection of local feed ingredients (such as rice bran, fish meal, snail meal, and vitamin mix), and direct demonstrations of the pellet feed production process. The implementation methods included a pre-test, material presentation, post-test, and hands-on feed-making practice assisted by internship students. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ understanding, with the average score increasing from 3.6 (pre-test) to 9.1 (post-test), indicating a gain of 5.5 points. Participants were also able to practice the feed processing stages, including grinding, mixing, molding, and drying. This training not only provided theoretical knowledge but also equipped farmers with practical skills in independent feed production, thereby reducing dependence on factory-made feed, lowering production costs, and promoting greater self-reliance and sustainability in tilapia aquaculture enterprises.

Abstract

Background: Diabetics who do not pay attention to the type of food consumed will make blood glucose levels uncontrolled, besides that the environment is one of the factors that make health disrupted such as an environment that is often exposed to cigarette smoke, even though cigarettes can interfere with the body's metabolic processes and will affect insulin production. One of the complications that can occur is neuropathy or lack of sensitivity to the nerves which leads to the formation of diabetic foot wounds, when wounds form, they heal or not depending on the wound care process. However, with the principle of wound care, moisture balance has been effective in the wound healing process. Objective: This study aimed to determine the factors that influenced the incidence of diabetic foot injuries in Makassar City. Methods: Quantitative with cross sectional approach. The sample of this study was 34 samples obtained by purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and analyzed using the chi-square test. Results Based on the study, the factors that affect the incidence of diabetic foot injuries are: age  obtained p value = 0.015 (<α0.05), Gender obtained p value = 0.020 (<α0.05), Work obtained p value = 0.025 (<α0.05), Long suffering from DM obtained p value = 0.000 (<α0.05), Drug obtained p value = 0.002 (<α0.05), Obesity obtained     p    value  = 0.008 (<α0.05). Conclusion: The conclusion in this study is that factors that influence the incidence of diabetic foot injuries are age, sex, occupation, length of suffering from DM, medication adherence, obesity
