Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability of cooperation and courage of children through outbound activities in the A1 RA DWP group UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta with 16 children, using classroom Kemmis and Mc Taggart model of action research with three cycles covering four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed the ability of cooperation and courage of children had increased, (1) the ability of children cooperation before the action was 6.25%, in the first cycle it increased to 68.75%. In the second cycle increased by 6.25% to 75%. In the third cycle increased by 18.75% to 93.75%. (2) Child's courage ability before the action is 0%. In the first cycle it increased by 12.5%. In the second cycle, it increased by 62.5% to 75%, and in the third cycle it increased by 18.75% to 93.75%. (3) Implementation of outbound activities is able to improve the ability of cooperation and courage of children.

Abstract

Purpose – This study explores the role of Islamic early childhood educators in fostering tolerance awareness in educational settings while maintaining a strong Islamic identity. It addresses the tension between promoting religious exclusivity and fostering an appreciation for diversity in a pluralistic society, with the aim to contribute to both educational practice and theory on religious tolerance in early education. Design/methods/approach – The study employs a qualitative descriptive exploratory design using content analysis. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with five teachers and observations of classroom interactions. The diversity management framework was used to analyze the approaches taken by teachers in integrating tolerance education within Islamic curricula. Findings – The research highlights various strategies Islamic educators use to promote tolerance, including storytelling, empathy training, and participatory rule-making. The findings reveal a balance between religious identity and tolerance education, with a sequential approach that prioritizes Islamic principles first, followed by the introduction of tolerance concepts. Despite challenges, such as external influences and technological distractions, the research demonstrates that these strategies positively impact children’s empathy and social behaviors. Research implications/limitations – The study is limited by the sample size and geographic scope, focusing on specific Islamic early childhood institutions. Future research could expand the sample and explore cross-cultural comparisons in different Islamic educational contexts to generalize findings. Practical implications – The findings provide valuable insights for educators, policymakers, and curriculum developers in balancing religious teachings and tolerance education. The study suggests that gradual and integrated approaches to teaching tolerance can foster social harmony and empathy in young children without compromising religious values. Originality/value – This research contributes to the body of knowledge on Islamic education by offering a nuanced understanding of how tolerance can be embedded in early childhood education while maintaining religious integrity. Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the concept of teachers in building moral values and character of early childhood in the perspective of Islamic Education and Ki Hajar Dewantara, using the library research method with technical content analysis found Several things, that teachers are important factors in early childhood education considering the character the development of their morality which are influenced by external authority themselves. in the Islamic Education Perspective that puts the teachers in the respectable position and has a very important role in education, and in view of ki Hajar Dewantara stating that teachers should be able to be an example and role model, a companion and motivator for the students

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses penerapan model pembelajaran sentra bermain peran sebagai salah satu upaya dalam menanamkan nilai moral anak, mengetahui hasil dari penerapan model pembelajaran sentra bermain peran dalam menanamkan nilai moral anak dan mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam implementasi model pembelajaran sentra bermain peran untuk menanamkan nilai moral anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif didasarkan atas pertimbangan bahwa dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan moral melibatkan berbagai aspek yang harus digali secara mendalam dan komperehensif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas B2 (usia 5-7 tahun) di RA Tiara Chandra Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran sentra bermain peran kelas B2 RA Tiara Chandra Yogyakarta telah berhasil dalam menanamkan nilai moral anak. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari tercapainya indikator yang ditetapkan oleh RA Tiara Chandra berdasarkan standar tingkat pencapaian anak mengacu pada kurikulum 2013. Faktor pendukung dalam implementasi model pembelajaran sentra bermain peran untuk menanamkan nilai moral anak: latar belakang pendidikan keluarga peserta didik yang baik, metode atau program yang tepat, pendidik yang telah dibekali LVEP dan menerapkannya secara konsisten, fasilitas yang disediakan oleh sekolah. Faktor penghambat dalam implementasi model pembelajaran sentra bermain peran untuk menanamkan nilai moral anak adalah : latar belakang pendidikan keluarga peserta didik yang kurang baik, ruang sentra yang kurang kondusif, kompetensi pendidik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar perkembangan motorik halus anak dalam hal mewarnai, menggunting, dan menempel (3M) di TK Pertiwi 39 Trimulyo, mengetahui pelaksanaan perkembangan motorik halus anak dengan kegiatan mewarnai, menggunting, dan menempel (3M) dengan metode demonstrasi di TK Pertiwi 39 Trimulyo, dan mengetahui seberapa besar perkembangan motorik halus anak setelah diterapkan kegiatan mewarnai, menggunting, dan menempel (3M) dengan metode demonstrasi di TK Pertiwi 39 Trimulyo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan dalam tiga kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) kemampuan motorik halus pra tindakan kategori berkembang sesuai harapan 7,7%. (2) penerapan metode demonstrasi terbukti dapat meningkatkan perkembangan motorik halus anak, hal ini dapat dilihat dari kategori rendah pada siklus I menjadi kategori tinggi pada siklus II. (3) setelah diterapkan metode demonstrasi pada siklus I mencapai 50,00% dengan kategori berkembang sangat baik. Pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan dengan persentase 85,70% kategori berkembang sangat baik.

Abstract

This study aims to map the distribution of research in the field of early childhood education based on author affiliation, methodology and research themes. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques used in the research is documentation or document review, supported by interviews to find out the publication of research results in the Golden Age Journal, whether it is in accordance with scientific journal accreditation standards and building research mapping and scientific journal publications. With the Content Analysis, the following results were found: The Golden Age Journal has also implemented online journal management using the Open Journal System (OJS) version 3, by referring to the national journal accreditation guidelines, but it has not fully met the journal accreditation standards so it needs to be improved, by expanding it. the aspirations of the area both authors and managers, as well as the development of research themes that have good novelty.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to analyze the efforts of pesantren in reconstructing traditional medicine in line with the vision of al-Tibb al-Nabawi and the management of al-Tibb al-Nabawi learning in pesantren. Design/methods– This research uses a case study at Pesantren Sunan Kalijaga Pakuncen Nganjuk, aligned with the mission of education and the development of traditional medicine through the production of traditional herbal medicine. Utilizing an interactive descriptive analysis with Abed al-Jabiri's postcolonial theory Findings – The researcher concludes that Pesantren Sunan Kalijaga interprets Tibb An-Nabawi by combining the principles of prophetic medicine and traditional Nusantara medicine, resulting in effective and affordable health solutions such as Jamu Al-Qomar. The management of learning in this pesantren involves holistic religious education, practical skills, and structured unit business management, equipping students with life skills and independence. Research implications/limitations – The differences in social and cultural contexts between the community around Pesantren Sunan Kalijaga and communities in other regions of Indonesia could influence the results of this study. Practices and acceptance of traditional medicine and al-Tibb al-Nabawi can vary greatly in different places. Practical implications – This research establishes a foundation for enhancing healthcare services in pesantrens by integrating Al-Tibb An-Nabawi with local traditional medicine, promoting economic self-sufficiency through herbal enterprises like those at Pesantren Sunan Kalijaga. The life skills education methods can be adopted to equip students with practical skills. Originality/value – This research offers a novel perspective on integrating Al-Tibb An-Nabawi with traditional Nusantara medicine in pesantrens, specifically at Pesantren Sunan Kalijaga. It highlights a unique life skills education model combining religious education with practical health and herbal medicine skills, providing an innovative example for healthcare and economic self-sufficiency in other pesantrens
