Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between the quality of academic facilities, the effectiveness of administrative management, academic services, and student satisfaction in higher education through a systematic literature review. Student satisfaction is a crucial indicator of higher education quality and is influenced not only by teaching and lecturer–student interactions but also by the availability of adequate academic facilities and effective administrative systems. This study reviewed 20 peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2019 and 2024, sourced from Google Scholar and SINTA, and selected based on predefined inclusion criteria related to higher education and student satisfaction. The findings indicate that high-quality academic facilities—such as classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and supporting information technology—have a significant positive impact on students’ learning experiences and satisfaction. In addition, effective administrative management characterized by efficiency, responsiveness, transparency, and the use of academic information systems plays a vital role in enhancing student satisfaction. The review also reveals that the interaction between academic facilities quality and administrative effectiveness creates a cumulative effect in improving student satisfaction. These findings provide valuable insights for higher education institutions in optimizing facilities, strengthening administrative services, and implementing effective academic information systems to enhance overall student satisfaction.

The review analyzes scientific articles published between 2019 and 2024 by following a structured procedure of identifying, selecting, and synthesizing relevant literature. The findings indicate that principals’ leadership styles—whether task-oriented, relationship-oriented, or change-oriented—significantly affect teacher performance. Teacher competencies, including classroom management skills, instructional material design, and assessment of learning outcomes, also contribute to performance improvement. Furthermore, an organizational culture that promotes innovation, collaboration, and results orientation plays a vital role in enhancing teacher performance. Overall, these findings highlight the importance of effective school management through leadership, teacher competence, and organizational culture in improving educational quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the cultural leadership strategies of the Head of the Master of Islamic Education Management (MMPI) Study Programme at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta in shaping the institution's quality culture. The background of this study stems from the Head of Study Programme's success in bringing MMPI to achieve ‘Excellent’ accreditation within one year, even though the study programme is still relatively young. This research uses a qualitative approach with an ethnographic design according to James P. Spradley (1979), which is relevant for exploring the value systems, norms, and habits that shape the academic culture of the institution. The research setting was in the MMPI programme environment with participants selected purposively, consisting of the Head of the Programme, the Secretary of the Programme, lecturers, educational staff, and students. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured in-depth interviews, and documentary studies, then validated through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. Data analysis was conducted interactively using the Miles and Huberman model, which included reduction, presentation, and drawing and verification of conclusions, accompanied by cultural meaning interpretation based on Spradley's ethnographic framework. The research results revealed three main cultural strategies: (1) building family traditions and work consistency, (2) displaying managerial exemplary behaviour that fosters trust and collective motivation, and (3) fostering a culture of quality through reflective and evaluative habits. These strategies create a collaborative academic climate, strengthen the cultural identity of the institution, and have a tangible impact on improving the academic quality performance of the MMPI at UIN Sunan Kalijaga.

Abstract

This studi examines the implementation of the Freedom of Learning policy with a focus on the gap between the ideality of the concept and realities of its implementation in practice. The purpose of this study is to comprehensively analyze the effectiveness of the Merdeka Learning policy in achieving its ideal goals, identify supporting and inhibiting factors for implementation, and examine its implications on the quality of learning and education management. The research uses a qualitative approach with an exploratory case study design that was carried out in three representative provinces (East Java, South Kalimantan, and East Nusa Tenggara). Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and analysis of policy documents with source triangulation techniques to ensure the validity of the results. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Merdeka Learning policy still faces various structural and cultural obstacles, such as disparities in resources between regions, limitations in teachers' pedagogical competence, and cultural resistance of bureaucracy in the school environment. This gap results in variations in the quality of learning and the effectiveness of policies between educational units. The discussion revealed that the success of implementation is highly dependent on regional policy support, transformational leadership, and continuous professional development. This study concludes that in order for the vision of Merdeka Learning to be realized substantively, an adaptive, collaborative, and contextual education management strategy is needed, while emphasizing the importance of evidence-based policies to ensure the sustainability of national education transformation.

Abstract

Pricing of educational services is a strategic aspect in educational institution management that influences accessibility and operational sustainability. This study aims to analyze various educational service pricing strategies through a literature review to identify the optimal pricing model for educational institutions. The research method uses a literature study approach by analyzing journal articles, books, and scientific publications related to pricing strategies in the education sector from various academic databases. The analysis was conducted descriptively and analytically to identify patterns, trends, and best practices in educational pricing. The results of the study indicate that there are four main approaches to determining educational service prices: cost-based pricing, value-based pricing, competitive pricing, and penetration pricing. Factors influencing pricing strategies include operational costs, service quality, institutional positioning, market segmentation, and the economic conditions of the target market. The literature review revealed that value-based pricing combined with an analysis of the community's economic capacity provides optimal results in balancing profitability and accessibility. The study's conclusions indicate that determining educational service prices requires a multifactorial approach that considers economic, social, and service quality aspects to achieve the sustainability of educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teachers’ strategies in instilling religious values based on the Social Learning Theory proposed by Albert Bandura at SMAN 6 Tangerang Regency. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation involving Islamic Education teachers, guidance and counseling teachers, and students. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model developed by Miles and Huberman. The validity of the data was tested through source triangulation and method triangulation. The results indicate that teachers’ strategies in instilling religious values are systematically implemented through four main stages of Social Learning Theory, namely: (1) attention, where teachers demonstrate exemplary religious behavior that attracts students’ interest and focus; (2) retention, through habituation and value reflection in various religious activities such as congregational prayers, Qur’an recitation, and Friday charity programs; (3) reproduction, when students imitate and practice teachers’ religious behavior in their daily school life; and (4) motivation, which involves both external and internal encouragement to strengthen the continuity of students’ religious behavior. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the success of instilling religious values in schools is not solely determined by cognitive instruction, but also by teachers’ exemplary conduct, consistent habituation, and motivational reinforcement that foster students’ religious self-efficacy. Thus, the Social Learning Theory proposed by Bandura is relevant in the context of religious character education at the secondary school level, as it enables the formation of morality and spirituality through processes of observation, imitation, and value reflection within a contextual learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate a strategic transformation model for sustainable education based on W. Edwards Deming’s principles of quality management. Twenty-first century education faces complex challenges arising from the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digital disruption, and social inequality, demanding a system that goes beyond academic orientation to emphasize sustainability, collaboration, and innovation. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this study analyzed 45 selected articles from international and national journals (2020–2025), which met inclusion criteria such as peer-reviewed status, relevance to Deming principles, TQM/PDCA, and sustainable education, as well as publication in indexed databases (Scopus, WoS, SINTA). The findings indicate that PDCA institutionalized through the PPEPP cycle in the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) effectively enhances learning quality, participatory leadership, and reflective culture in both schools and universities. Cross-functional collaboration through PLCs/MGMPs, continuous innovation through kaizen, and future orientation through lifelong learning and digital literacy strengthen the implementation of  Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). Theoretically, this research integrates the Deming–ESD–CI paradigms into a single strategic model for sustainable education transformation; practically, it offers an operational roadmap for educational institutions and policymakers to develop quality systems that are collaborative, innovative, and adaptive to global change.

Abstract

Education encountered substantial challenges due to changes in the learning system caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, one of which is learning loss due to online learning. This study aims to investigate teachers' strategies in overcoming learning loss of online learning in the 3T area of Lampung. This is a kind of qualitative descriptive research using a case study approach in MA Nurul Iman Sekincau, West Lampung, as one of the 3T areas. The results of the study found that the change in the education system through online learning has caused learning loss in students at MA Nurul Iman Sekincau. Learning loss refers to the decline in knowledge and enthusiasm for learning in students, rendering learning ineffective. In online learning, there are various obstacles faced, such as students who do not have quotas, are constrained by signals, are constrained in accessing applications, and there are even students who do not have gadgets. Thus, the right strategy is needed for teachers to overcome learning problems during the pandemic. The study contributes to educational management by emphasizing contextual, resource-based strategies in disadvantaged regions.

Abstract

Everyone agree that improving the performance of educational implementers through job enrichment and delegation of authority will increase company productivity. However, the facts show that these two management elements must work as expected in the Department of Education and Culture to effectively enhance employee motivation and engagement, which are crucial for achieving the desired increase in company productivity. The purpose of this study is to determine how delegation of authority and job enrichment affect the desire to work. There are three hypotheses tested in this study. First, job enrichment affects the desire of implementers to work in schools; second, delegation has an impact on influencing the desire of implementers to work in schools; and third, job enrichment and delegation of authority simultaneously affect the desire of implementers to work in schools. This study involved 140 educational implementers from the Department of Education and Culture of Tanah Datar Regency, along with 57 samples selected randomly based on the proportion of education level, class, and length of service. The research method was carried out using a quantitative approach. The research was collected using a questionnaire with a Likert scale model, which has been tested for reliability and validity. The results of the data analysis show that the contribution of job enrichment to the work motivation of educational implementers is 16%, the contribution of official delegation to the work motivation of educational implementers is 28.09%, and the contribution of job enrichment and official delegation to the overall work motivation of educational implementers is 42%. It is hoped that this research will be useful for future research.
