Al-Idarah: Jurnal Kependidikan Islam, registered in p-ISSN: 2086-6186 and e-ISSN: 2580-2453, is a peer-reviewed journal of original research and writing on Islamic education management and education management in general. The biannual journal, regularly issued in June and December, aims to provide a forum for scholarly understanding of the field of education and plays an important role in promoting the process that accumulates knowledge, values, and skills. Scientific manuscripts dealing with contemporary education management topics are openly welcome and highly appreciated. Abstract

This research aims to determine the leadership role of school principals in improving teachers' professional competence at SDN Kota Baru IV. Using a qualitative case study approach, this study involved key stakeholders, including the principal and teachers from various grade levels. The subjects used in this research were the Principal and Class VI A Teachers, Class II B Teachers, Class C- D Teachers, Class III B Teachers, Class VI C Teachers, Class VI B Teachers. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, and accompanied by documentation. The methods used in data analysis were data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The triangulations used were source triangulation and method triangulation. Results reveal that the principal effectively embodies multiple leadership roles educator, manager, administrator, leader, and motivator to foster teacher competence. For instance, as an educator, the principal cultivates a positive learning culture and encourages professional development through workshops and seminars. As a manager, the principal ensures systematic planning and optimal utilization of resources. Furthermore, as a motivator, the principal inspires teachers to embrace innovation and continuous improvement. This research underscores the pivotal influence of leadership in achieving educational excellence, emphasizing the integration of strategic management and professional development to overcome challenges and enhance teacher performance.

Abstract

Student service is one of the indicators to measure the quality of higher education. Its convenience will create comfort for students which will lead to satisfaction; that is one of the assessment aspects in institution accreditation. When the students are satisfied with the service, it will also become a free marketing to the community. This study aims to analyze the use of Google Workspace for Education as a basis for data governance and student services in higher education. The method used in this study was qualitative with a descriptive analysis approach. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data analysis techniques were using interactive models of Miles and Huberman that consisted of data condensation, data presentation and conclusions drawing. The validity test of the data was carried out through observation and triangulation. The results of this study indicated that Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Tarbiyah Az Zahra Tasikmalaya has been using Google Workspace for Education as the basis for data management and student services by utilizing Google Drive, Google Forms, Google Documents, Google Spreadsheets, Google Slides, Google Meet and Google Sites features. These features are used as data storage media, attendance lists, generating certificate, issuing active letter and research permits, webinars, and student admission pages. The impact of using Google Workspace for Education has been greatly perceived by students, as well as by other parties. The use of Google Workspace for Education has given some benefits, namely: 1) Effectiveness, such as a fast service in issuing an active letter for the students that will be sent automatically via email, and non-face-to-face service in administration office unless when there are some problems in its application; 2) Efficiency, for new universities that are still in adjustment, one of which is financial aspect, where Google Workspace for Education can be an alternative that can be used in providing services to students, because the necessary features can be accessed for free.

Abstract

The research  aims  to analyze the effect of certification and professional skills on teacher performance in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) Lampung Province. Teacher professional certification is the government's effort to improve the quality of teachers through formal recognition of their skills. Teacher competency includes pedagogical, personal, social and professional skills. Teacher performance is measured based on their ability to plan, implement and value learning. This research uses a quantitative approach with survey methods. The research population consisted of certified MIN teachers from Lampung Province. The sampling technique is probability sampling. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire which was tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis uses multiple regression techniques to examine the effect of certification and professional skills on teacher performance. The results of this study indicate that professional certification has a partial effect on teacher performance with a significance of 0.024 and competence has an effect on teacher performance with a significance of 0.000. The certification and competence variables simultaneously have an influence of 63.2% on teacher performance. These results are expected to provide empirical insight into the contribution of certification and professional skills in improving the performance of MIN teachers in Lampung Province, as well as provide suggestions to policy makers in efforts to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Environmental education in schools is a strategic step to raise students' awareness of the importance of preserving and protecting the environment. This study discusses the fundamental concepts of environmental education through the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation in schools. Planning is carried out using a SWOT analysis to identify existing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The implementation phase includes the formation of a school environmental committee, determination of vision and mission, integration of programs into the curriculum, and collaboration with external parties. Evaluation aims to measure the effectiveness of the programs and provide feedback for further development. The results of this study indicate that structured environmental education can increase students' awareness and participation, as well as engage the entire school community in maintaining environmental quality. Thus, the implementation of environmental education in schools plays a crucial role in fostering a generation that is more environmentally conscious and committed to sustainability.

Abstract

Globalization and the digital era have a significant impact on Islamic education, especially in terms of preserving and incorporating Islamic values into the curriculum.  The purpose of this research is to examine how Islamic education faces challenges and opportunities in maintaining core values amidst globalization.  Data were collected using a descriptive qualitative method through literature studies and interviews with Islamic education experts experienced in curriculum development.  Research results show that the Islamic education curriculum must be adjusted if it is to remain relevant and effective in shaping students' character in the modern era.  Utilizing technology to deliver content in a more interactive and engaging way must uphold fundamental principles such as morality, ethics, and spirituality.  So, in order for Islamic education to play its best role in facing the challenges of globalization, the curriculum must be adjusted while maintaining Islamic values.  This research provides educators and policymakers with insights into the importance of developing a curriculum that combines the application of technology and the preservation of Islamic values.

Abstract

Companies must enhance their strategic management to sustain competitiveness in the contemporary business landscape, which highly emphasizes learning and innovation. The significance of innovation is widely acknowledged and deemed essential. To properly apply this, firms must give priority to strategic learning. This study aims to investigate the impact of strategic learning on strategic innovation inside businesses during the adaptation process. The objective is to determine if strategic learning can effectively enable and propel strategic innovation, resulting in sustained success and a favorable influence on organizational performance. The study employs qualitative methodologies to examine and evaluate 14 papers published from 2013 to 2023. Critical analyses address the deficiency by combining and scrutinizing strategic learning and innovation studies. The study demonstrates that strategic learning and innovation favor organizational performance by facilitating swift adaptation to the business environment and enhancing skills. The learning environment supports the advancement of both product and process development, whereas the innovation environment directly influences the business's overall performance. Corporations should encourage ongoing education, implement skills enhancement initiatives, and offer rewards to encourage the adoption of innovative practices. Allocating resources toward developing learning and innovation capacities is warranted, particularly under circumstances characterized by unpredictability.

Abstract

Digital transformation in educational management became an urgent necessity in the modern era, particularly after the global pandemic accelerated the adoption of digital technologies in the education sector. This study examined the implementation of digital transformation in educational management, focusing on improving operational efficiency and accessibility to educational services. Using both qualitative and quantitative approaches, the research analyzed data from 50 educational institutions that had implemented digital transformation in their management systems. The findings indicated that digital transformation significantly contributed to a 45% increase in administrative efficiency, a 60% acceleration in decision-making processes, and a 75% improvement in the accessibility of educational services for stakeholders. Key challenges identified included resistance to change, infrastructure limitations, and the need for staff training. This research provided valuable insights for educational institutions considering or currently undergoing the implementation of digital transformation in their management systems.

Abstract

The rapid technological transformation in the 21st century has brought fundamental changes to the world of education, requiring educators to master digital skills and be adaptive to technological changes. Human Resource Management (HCM) is a relevant strategic framework to support the development of digital skills and workforce innovation in education. This study aims to explore trends, challenges, and opportunities in digital skills development through the HCM approach. Using a systematic literature review method based on the PRISMA protocol, 20 articles published between 2019–2024 were analyzed with a focus on "Digital Skills Development," "Human Capital Management," and "Workforce Innovation" in the context of social sciences and learning. The results of the study identified key challenges, including limited technological infrastructure, lack of teacher training, and policy gaps, as well as opportunities such as the integration of digital competencies into the curriculum, the development of data-driven assessment tools, and cross-sector collaboration. This study shows trends in strengthening teachers' digital skills, data-driven workforce management, and educational innovation to support workforce readiness. This research provides strategic recommendations in the form of strengthening data-based policies, continuous teacher training, and developing an inclusive digital curriculum, while also offering opportunities for further research to address the challenges of education in the digital era.

Abstract

This article examines the integration of technology in teacher training as an effort to enhance the quality of education in the digital era. Employing a literature review approach, the study analyzes various emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), and Augmented Reality (AR), and how these technologies are applied in teacher training to support the development of pedagogical competencies. Technology enables personalized training, enhances instructional effectiveness through automated and interactive feedback, and fosters deeper and more immersive learning experiences. The article also explores challenges in technology integration, such as unequal access and limited digital literacy among teachers. Furthermore, microlearning-based training models and online learning platforms emerge as flexible and inclusive solutions. The findings indicate that despite significant challenges, technology can substantially improve the quality of teacher training, leading to more effective and relevant learning, and catalyzing transformation in teaching practices across diverse educational contexts. The article recommends that educational policies provide greater support for the adoption of technology in teacher training to better prepare educators for the demands of the 21st century.

Abstract

This study analyzes the model and methods of Islamic education planning at MI Al-Ittihad, Ciampea District, Bogor. The study focuses on the integration of Islamic values with modern needs, such as project-based learning and the use of digital technology. Using a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach, data was collected through interviews and documentation involving key stakeholders in the planning process. The findings indicate that MI Al-Ittihad employs a comprehensive planning model that integrates the Merdeka Curriculum, modern teaching methods, and flagship programs including Quranic recitation and memorization, exact sciences (Mathematics, Abacus, and Natural Sciences), religious program, and martial arts. This balanced approach supports the spiritual and intellectual development of students and produces academically and spiritually outstanding students. This study provides practical guidance for Islamic educational institutions aiming to align religious values with contemporary educational demands and contributes theoretically by presenting a contextual model that combines normative Islamic values with modern pedagogy.
