Abstract

The initial effort to strengthen literacy was to train young children in reading activities. By strengthening reading literacy in early childhood, we not only teach reading but also understand its meaning as a window to the world. This is intended to build a foundation for young children so that they are better prepared when they learn to actually read in the future. This research aims to analyze the implementation of letter game activities in training basic reading literacy skills of early childhood in group A at RA Muslimat Nurul Islam II, Suko Village, Sukodono District, Sidoarjo Regency. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The research results show that reading literacy skills will get optimal results with educational, innovative and fun game activities. So that children feel that learning is fun, not stressful. Through the medium of the letter circle speed game and letter cards the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of the students can be seen. Letter game activities carried out gradually and continuously will teach young children the concept of fun reading literacy. The author recommends encouraging students to play an active role by conveying ideas, imagination and thoughts during the learning process in order to get optimal results. Apart from that, educators should be creative and innovative in creating learning activities and consistent in carrying out literacy habits for every play activity.

Abstract

This research was carried out at the Tahfizul Qur'an Al-Asror Bangkalan Islamic Boarding School which implements 4 educational strategies in producing quality human resources, namely an Al-Qur'an-based curriculum, Amtsilati, formal schools and training. The aim of this research is to describe the formulation, implementation and evaluation of educational development strategies in producing quality human resources as a new paradigm in organizational management. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The research results show: (1) the strategy formulation was developed based on Al-Asror's objectives, carrying out an independent organizational assessment. External environmental assessment by analyzing program needs, opportunities and strengths. Meanwhile, determining the strategy takes the form of direct instructions from the caregiver or the results of an agreement. (2) Islamic boarding school funds come from syahriyah, donors, cooperatives, infaq and caregivers. The program is implemented in a centralized, classical and specialization manner, either daily, weekly, monthly or annually and is guided by caregivers, administrators, asatidz and santri. (3) program evaluation by looking at the journal of students' activity and achievements. Improvements by providing motivation, creating alternative strategies, revising the structure or temporarily deactivating the program. There are 2 influencing factors, namely internal factors and external factors

Abstract

Islamic education seems to be experiencing a stagnant movement, running in place. Even though the current global era requires Islamic education to come to the fore, holding scientific supremacy, as happened in the past, this backward situation has made Iqbal criticize Muslims to immediately renew their attitude to become progressive. Based on this, the author offers Muhammad Iqbal's thoughts regarding his concept for education and human beings. The research method used is qualitative with a Library Research approach or library research, the data analysis used is historical analysis and descriptive analysis. The results of this research show that according to Iqbal, Islamic education is seen as a total cultural force that influences the lives of individuals and groups of society. Iqbal has an opinion about the meaning of Islam. Insan Kamil, according to Iqbal, must go through four stages. The first is Love, Courage, Tolerance, and Faqr. In the perspective of Islamic education, Insan Kamil is divided into two parts, first, regarding Individuality, containing the human journey through various life tests. Which will mature and put the level of the human person in its place. Second, Character Education, regarding the formation of the basis for correct human thinking as a shaper of character and personality.

Abstract

Teachers play an important role in the educational context, because teachers are at the forefront of providing education and deal directly with students. As students' insight increases, teachers must be able to adapt, both in terms of knowledge and teaching abilities. This research aims to compare the views of Al-Ghazali and Zakiah Daradjat regarding the figure and role of the ideal teacher and their relevance in the 21st century. This qualitative research uses a historical and philosophical approach and inductive, comparative and descriptive data analysis methods. The results of this research show that: Al-Ghazali and Zakiah Daradjat have made a big contribution to building the figure of a teacher. Meanwhile, the contribution of the thoughts of these two figures turns out to be a difference even though they have many similarities. Operationally, the concept can be applied and used as an alternative reference for a teacher today, but it must use a new, contextual and reflective approach

Abstract

This article will discuss strengthening the Divine character of prospective employees who are pursuing professional education at the Surabaya Professional Education and Development Institute (LP3I) through Khuruj fi Sabilillah. The aim of this research is to determine the extent of Khuruj fi Sabilillah's effectiveness in instilling Islamic religious values ​​for prospective employees who are preparing to become professional employee candidates who have good quality soft skills through a 2 year professional education program at LP3I Surabaya. To obtain the author's data, data collection in this research was carried out through literature study to determine the concepts of Khuruj fi Sabilillah and strengthening Divine character as well as through observation, interviews and documentation to determine the implementation of Khuruj fi Sabilillah in strengthening Divine character. From the data analysis carried out by the author, it was found that strengthening soft skills for prospective employees pursuing professional education can be carried out by cultivating the Divine nature, because the Divine nature contains noble values ​​that strengthen the quality of soft skills. The cultivation of the Divine nature into the Divine character can be carried out effectively through the implementation of Khuruj fi Sabilillah because in the implementation of Khuruj fi Sabilillah the Divine nature is not only understood to the congregation through ta'lim wa taklum but is also practiced in the form of amaliyah and preached. Having a strong Divine character as a supporting factor for the quality of hard skills opens up opportunities for prospective employees to get better opportunities in the employee recruitment process and building a career. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide an effective alternative method for strengthening character in Islamic Religious Education and at the same time become material for developing subsequent research with relevant themes.

Abstract

The cooperative learning model is a form of learning based on a constructivist approach which refers to learning methods. One type of learning model that is relevant, effective and efficient for the purposes of learning fiqh, especially lending and borrowing material, is the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type cooperative model. The advantage of STAD learning is that it can combine academic competence (learning to know, learning to do, learning to be) with social competence (learning to live together). This research aims to analyze the application of STAD learning in improving students' understanding of learning. The results of the research show that in the STAD type cooperative method, students are required to look for the material assigned in the group and they are more courageous in expressing opinions and ideas that are in the minds of the group members. As a result, students are more critical in the social environment and are braver and more active in front of the class. The application of the STAD type cooperative method in learning activities in fiqh subjects to improve students' learning understanding is quite interesting to research. Therefore, we hope that there will be further researchers regarding this matter in the future

Abstract

Opposition to the government is not a new phenomenon in the history of Islam. Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal was a hadith scholar who once opposed the Abbasiyah government during the reign of Caliph Al-Ma'mun. This article aims to explain the theological framework of Imam Hanbali's opposition to the government of his time. Through a literature review using a content analysis approach, this article presents a historical account of the theological factors that led Imam Hanbali to oppose the government. Among the theological factors that triggered Hanbali's opposition was the doctrine of the createdness of the Quran according to the Mu'tazilah and the rulers of that time. On the other hand, Ahmad ibn Hanbal argued that the Quran was not a creation but rather the sacred word of Allah. Hanbali's opposition was not synonymous with rebellion against the rulers, but it was undertaken to safeguard the authority of religious knowledge. Imam Hanbali steadfastly endeavored to uphold the orthodox teachings of Islam derived from the Quran and Hadith. This thesis leads to the stance that opposing the government is permissible. Opposition can be exercised to control the ongoing power and does not always imply subversion

Abstract

Social and cultural changes that occur in urban society have resulted in a shift in religious values, where religion is only used as symbols of self-identity. This behavior pattern tends to lead to the formation of self-imitation. This results in social inequalities and changes in religious, social and cultural values. This research tries to analyze the religious, social and cultural changes that have occurred in the community of Sukolilo Village, Labang District, Bangkalan Regency, which have had a lot of influence on their life patterns. This research uses a phenomenological approach. Meanwhile, this type of research is descriptive research. The results of the research show that the dynamics of religion lead to the mosque being a place of worship for Muslims. Apart from being a center for religious activities, the mosque is also a center for social activities. Social dynamics show that the level of education in Sukolilo Bangkalan is relatively low, with minimal children continuing their education to high school level. Community employment, namely work in the service and informal sectors. Meanwhile, in the cultural aspect, the language used by the majority of people is Madurese which is very dominantly used as a means of communication in their daily activities in their environment with some mixture of Javanese language originating from Surabaya. The author argues that this dynamic becomes a social inevitability amidst the intersection of several aspects above, which coincides with the roar of information "spillover" in society

Abstract

The socio-economic situation of the family plays a role in children's development. This research seeks to analyze more deeply the relationship between parents' economic conditions and the continuity of children's education after 9 years of compulsory education in Pasrepan, Pasrepan District, Pasuruan Regency. This research was conducted using a quantitative research approach. The type of research used is correlational research, namely research intended to determine whether there is a relationship between two or several variables. The results of the research show that parents' economics are related to the continuity of children's education after 9 years of compulsory education. It is proven that as many as 19 respondents who were classified as high level had their children continue to high school. Meanwhile, only 2 respondents classified as low level had their children continue to a high school level and 8 low level economic respondents had their children not continue to a high school level. From this presentation it can be concluded that the biggest reason parents face in sending their children to school is cost. Apart from the lack of costs, the author also found that "cultural constraints": "women are not allowed to have higher education", is another factor

Abstract

This qualitative descriptive research aims to provide an analysis of the learning models used by Ma'had al-Jami'ah UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya in forming the character of mahasantri. The research collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation with the aim of exploring various models used in building mahasantri character. The results of the research show that there are several approaches used in forming the character of mahasantri in Ma'had al-Jami'ah. These models include good habits towards students, role modeling, discipline development, as well as through participatory learning. These models reflect Ma'had al-Jami'ah's innovative efforts in creating a conducive educational environment and providing a holistic learning experience for students.
