Abstract

Background: Children may face a difficulty in maintaining concentration during learning sessions, a factor that varies among individuals. At TPA (Quranic Education Center) Uswatun Khasanah Banyusidi, Pakis, Magelang, students also encounter issues with concentration and focus in their studies. Objective: This study aims to achieve several objectives: (1) assess the level of a child's learning concentration, (2) explore how psychoeducation, using storytelling, movement games, and songs, can improve a child’s concentration, and and (3) evaluate the effectiveness of psychoeducation in enhancing a child’s learning concentration. Method: The research adopts a classroom action research design, comprising two cycles. The process involves planning, implementing interventions, observing outcomes, and reflecting on results. Results: After Cycle 1, 41.02% of children met the expected development criteria, increasing to 79.48% in Cycle 2, with 53.84% meeting expected development and 25.64% demonstrating excellent progress. Conclusion: The use of psychoeducation through storytelling, movement, and songs at TPA (Quranic Education Center) Uswatun Khasanah Dayugo has successfully improved children’s learning concentration in each session.Abstrak Latar Belakang: Anak mungkin mengalami kesulitan dalam menjaga konsentrasi saat pembelajaran, faktor yang berbeda-beda pada setiap individu. Di TPA (Pusat Pendidikan Al-Quran) Uswatun Khasanah Banyusidi, Pakis, Magelang, siswa juga mengalami kendala konsentrasi dan fokus dalam belajar. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencapai beberapa tujuan: (1) menilai tingkat konsentrasi belajar anak, (2) mengeksplorasi bagaimana psikoedukasi, dengan menggunakan bercerita, permainan gerak, dan lagu, dapat meningkatkan konsentrasi anak, dan (3) mengevaluasi efektivitas psikoedukasi dalam meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar anak. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas, yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Prosesnya meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan intervensi, pengamatan hasil, dan refleksi hasil. Hasil: Setelah Siklus 1, 41,02% anak memenuhi kriteria perkembangan yang diharapkan, meningkat menjadi 79,48% pada Siklus 2, dengan 53,84% memenuhi perkembangan yang diharapkan dan 25,64% menunjukkan kemajuan sangat baik. Kesimpulan: Penggunaan psikoedukasi melalui bercerita, gerak, dan lagu di TPA (Pusat Pendidikan Quran) Uswatun Khasanah Dayugo berhasil meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar anak pada setiap sesinya.

Abstract

Background: Teenagers in Padang City have a high interest in online games, especially Mobile Legends Bang-Bang. Objective: The aim of research was to determine the relationship between online game addiction and sleep quality in teenagers of Padang. Method: A correlational quantitative approach was used for this research. The sample used 300 teenagers using purposive sampling technique. The sleep quality measuring tool by Buysse et.al (1989) contains 10 items consisting of 18 subjective questions and 6 observational questions. The online game addiction measuring tool contains 21 items with 3 questions for each aspect. Data analysis used Spearman’s technique because the data distribution was not normal but linear for both variables. Result: The results show a significant relationship between online game addiction and sleep quality in teenagers, with p = 0.001 (< 0.05). Conclusion: Thus, it can be concluded that the higher the level of online game addiction in teenagers, the lower the sleep quality they experience. This research also found differences in the level of online game addiction and sleep quality in terms of gender.Abstrak Latar Belakang: Remaja di Kota Padang memiliki minat yang tinggi pada game online khususnya Mobile Legends Bang-Bang. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian dilakukan adalah mengetahui hubungan  kecanduan game online dengan sleep quality pada remaja di Kota Padang. Metode: Pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional digunakan untuk penelitian ini. Sampel digunakan sebanyak 300 remaja melalui teknik purposive sampling. Alat ukur sleep quality oleh Buysse et.al (1989) terdapat 10 item terdiri 18 pertanyaan subjektif dan 6 pertanyaan observatif.  Alat ukur kecanduan game online memiliki 21 item dengan 3 pertanyaan pada tiap aspek. Analisis data menggunakan teknik Spearman karena distribusi data tidak normal tetapi linier pada kedua variabel. Hasil: Hasil menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara kecanduan game online dan sleep quality pada remaja, dengan nilai p=0,001 (< 0,05). Kesimpulan: Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa makin tinggi tingkat kecanduan game online pada remaja, maka makin rendah sleep quality yang mereka alami. Penelitian ini juga menemukan adanya perbedaan tingkat kecanduan game online dan sleep quality yang ditinjau dari jenis kelamin.

Abstract

Abstract Background: Not a few students deliberately postponed their assignments. Academic procrastination often occurs in students because of the high workload. Self-efficacy is believed to influence procrastination. Objective: This research aims to determine the extent to which students' self-efficacy plays a role in their level of academic procrastination in carrying out lecture assignments. Method: Research uses descriptive quantitative methods with non-experimental research types, and result analysis using simple regression analysis. The subject used is a student of Psychology at the State University of Surabaya. Results: The results of this study showed that self-efficacy and procrastination have a negative relationship, which means that if self-efficacy is improved then procrastination in students is decreased and vice versa. Self-efficacy variables give an effective contribution of 23.2% to the procrastination variable which means self-efficacy is not the most crucial thing in affecting procrastination because there are still 76.8% other factors. Conclusion: To reduce procrastination, self-efficacy is required because the higher the self-efficacy of a person, the lower the tendency to procrastination.   Abstrak Latar belakang: Tidak sedikit mahasiswa sengaja menunda tugas mereka. Prokrastinasi akademik sering terjadi pada mahasiswa karena beban kerja yang tinggi. Efikasi diri dipercaya mempengaruhi prokrastinasi. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan sejauh mana efikasi diri mahasiswa memainkan peran dalam tingkat prokrastinasi akademik mereka dalam melakukan tugas kuliah. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian non-eksperimental dan analisis hasil menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Subjek yang digunakan adalah mahasiswa Psikologi Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri dan prokrastinasi memiliki hubungan negatif, yang berarti bahwa jika efikasi diri ditingkatkan maka prokrastinasi pada mahasiswa berkurang dan begitupula sebaliknya. Variabel efikasi diri sendiri memberikan kontribusi efektif sebesar 23,2% untuk variabel prokrastinasi yang berarti efikasi diri sendiri bukanlah hal yang paling penting dalam mempengaruhi prokrastinasi karena masih ada 76,8% faktor lain. Kesimpulan: Untuk mengurangi prokrastinasi, efikasi diri diperlukan karena semakin tinggi efikasi diri seseorang, semakin rendah kecenderungan untuk prokrastinasi.

Abstract

Abstract Background: One of the reasons someone has psychological well-being the low one is celebrity worship behavior or what is commonly known as celebrity worship. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of celebrity worship on psychological well-being in early adult women K-pop lovers in Special Region of Yogyakarta. Method: This research uses a quantitative approach. The research sample consisted of 400 participants with the criteria being early adult female K-pop fans aged 18-25 who live in Special Region of Yogyakarta. Data analysis were carried out using multiple regression techniques to determine the existence of an influence of celebrity worship on psychological well-being. Result: Celebrity worship influences psychological well-being. Variablecelebrity worship provides an effective contribution of 4.4% to psychological well-being. Dimensions of borderline-pathological tendency partially influence psychological well-being entertainment-social value and intense personal feelings do not affect psychological well-being. Conclusion: There is only one internal dimension of celebrity worship that influences the psychological well-being of K-pop-loving early adult women in DIY, and that is borderline-pathological tendency.   Abstrak Latar belakang: Salah satu penyebab rendahnya kesejahteraan psikologis seseorang adalah karena perilaku pemujaan selebriti atau yang biasa disebut dengan celebrity worship. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui pengaruh celebrity worship  terhadap psychological well-being pada wanita dewasa awal pecinta K-pop di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan  kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 400 partisipan dengan kriteria wanita dewasa awal penggemar K-pop berusia 18-25 tahun yang tergabung berdomisili di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik regresi berganda untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh celebrity worship  terhadap psychological well-being. Hasil: Celebrity worship  berpengaruh terhadap psycological well-being. Variabel celebrity worship  memberikan sumbangan efektif sebanyak 4.4% terhadap psychological well-being. Dimensi borderline-pathological tendency secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap psychological well-being entertainment-social value dan intense-personal feeling tidak berpengaruh terhadap psychological well-being. Kesimpulan: Hanya terdapat satu dimensi dalam celebrity worship berpengaruh terhadap psychological well-being pada wanita dewasa awal pecinta K-pop di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, yaitu borderline-pathological tendency.

Abstract

Background: Adolescents with language disorder have significant language difficulties in many situations and impact their communication skills. Communication difficulties experienced by adolescents with language disorders can increase the risk of feeling anxious in social situations and having fewer peer relations. Therefore, interventions are needed that can optimize communication skills. Objective: The aim of this research is to find out whether modeling and behavior rehearsal can improve communication skills in adolescent with language disorder. Method: This research is a quantitative research that uses single subject ABA design. The participant is a 14-year-old girl with language disorder. There are 4 skills that are taught & observed, such as giving comments, asking relevant questions, asking the other person's opinion, and paying attention to the other person's attitude while speaking. Results: All communication skills is increasing, including ask the other person's opinion and provide comments that match with the topic. Conclusion: This proves that modeling and behavior rehearsal are effective in improving adolescent's communication skills with language disorder.AbstrakLatar Belakang: Remaja dengan language disorder memiliki hambatan yang signifikan dalam berbahasa di berbagai situasi dan itu berdampak pada kemampuan komunikasi. Kesulitan berkomunikasi yang dialami remaja dengan language disorder dapat meningkatkan risiko merasa cemas dalam situasi sosial dan memiliki sedikit relasi teman sebaya. Karena itu, dibutuhkan intervensi yang bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan kemampuan komunikasi saat berinteraksi sosial, seperti bertanya dan memberi komentar. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan teknik modeling & behavior rehearsal dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi pada remaja yang mengalami language disorder. Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain single subject research ABA. Partisipan merupakan remaja perempuan berusia 14 tahun dengan language disorder. 4 target perilaku yang diobservasi yaitu memberi komentar, bertanya hal yang relevan, menanyakan pendapat lawan bicara, dan memperhatikan sikap lawan bicara saat berbicara. Hasil: Adanya peningkatan pada kemampuan menanyakan pendapat lawan bicara dan memberikan komentar yang sesuai topik pembicaraan. Simpulan: Teknik modeling dan behavior rehearsal efektif meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi remaja dengan language disorder.

Abstract

Abstract Background: Responding to the problem of double-career student-athletes during quarantine that resulted in an emotional regulation and psychological well-being crisis. Objective: To determine the effect of role awareness training on psychological well-being and emotional regulation in student-athletes. Method: Using quantitative experimental methods with a pre-test-posttest control group design. The subjects of this study were 24 athletes from the National Young Athlete Training Center UNESA. Sampling is done with a saturated sample, where all members of the population become samples. Data was obtained through pretests and posttests using psychological well-being tools containing 42 items. The data analysis technique used is an independent sample t test. Result: p value for emotional regulation is 0.027 and for psychological well-being is 0.047 (both p values are < 0.05). It shows training awareness of the role capable of guiding student-athletes in improving psychological well-being and emotional regulation. Conclusion: There is an influence of role awareness training on the emotional regulation and psychological well-being of student-athletes.   Abstrak Latar Belakang: Menanggapi permasalahan atlet pelajar yang berkarir ganda pada masa karantina yang mengakibatkan krisis regulasi emosi dan kesejahteraan psikologis. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh awareness training terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis dan regulasi emosi pada atlet pelajar. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen kuantitatif dengan desain pretest dan posttest control group design. Subjek yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah para atlet Sentra Latihan Olahragawan Muda Potensial Nasional UNESA yang berjumlah 24 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan jenis sampel jenuh, dimana seluruh anggota populasi menjadi sampel. Data diperoleh melalui pretest dan posttest dengan menggunakan alat bantu kesejahteraan psikologis yang berjumlah 42 item. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t sampel independen. Hasil: Nilai p untuk regulasi emosi sebesar 0,027 dan untuk kesejahteraan psikologis sebesar 0,047 (kedua nilai p < 0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan pelatihan kesadaran akan peran yang mampu membimbing pelajar-atlet dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis dan regulasi emosional. Kesimpulan: Terdapat pengaruh awareness training terhadap regulasi emosi dan kesejahteraan psikologis atlet pelajar.

Abstract

Background: Social media has become an essential part of the lives of people of all ages. Social media has both positive and negative effects on a teenager's life. This is because teenagers are often unable to control their use of social media. Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of social anxiety (X1) and social comparison (X2) on social media addiction. Method:  This study uses a correlational quantitative approach. The sample in this study consisted of young Korean pop music fans who actively used social media. As many as 377 samples were employed using a purposive sampling technique. The analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear regression analysis. Results: The results in this study, namely social anxiety and social comparison, have a significant positive effect on social media addiction. Conclusion: The research results also found that simultaneously the variables Social Anxiety and Social Comparison have a significant effect on Social Media Addiction.Abstrak Latar Belakang: Media sosial telah menjadi bagian penting dari kehidupan sebagian besar individu dengan berbagai kalangan usia. Media sosial memiliki efek positif dan negative pada kehidupan remaja. Hal ini disebabkan oleh fakta bahwa remaja seringkali tidak dapat mengendalikan penggunaan media sosial mereka. Remaja yang terjerat kecanduan media sosial cenderung sangat bergantung pada platform tersebut, bahkan rela mengorbankan banyak waktu demi mewujudkan keinginannya. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh social anxiety (X1) dan social comparison (X2) terhadap social media addiction.  Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah remaja penggemar musik Korean pop yang aktif menggunakan sosial media sebanyak 377 sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil: Hasil dalam penelitian ini yaitu social anxiety dan social comparison secara berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap social media addiction. Simpulan: Hasil penelitian juga ditemukan bahwa secara simultan variabel Social Anxiety dan Social Comparison berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Social Media Addiction.

Abstract

Background: The limitations of children with slow learner (CwSL) make them dependent on other people so that they can be improved through education at school and parenting at home. Parenting is influenced by economic conditions, including in Pre-Prosperous Families (PPS). Objective: To explore and describe parenting in PPS on the independence of CwSL. Method: Qualitative with a focus on case studies with data collection in the form of interviews, observations and documentation. The research subjects were two pairs of parents of MRC in PPS with the extended family analysis unit. The data analysis is pattern matching, explanation and time series analysis. Transferability test with data triangulation. Results: Not all parents know the obstacles and parenting methods for MRC due to busy work and lack of knowledge due to low educational background. A child's obstacles and needs can be detected from the teacher's recommendations for further examination. Conclusion: Children's social independence appears to better involve grandmothers when parents work. However, children's social development can also improve when parents receive therapy from PLDPI.AbstrakLatar Belakang: Keterbatasan anak lamban belajar (CwSL) membuat mereka bergantung pada orang lain sehingga dapat ditingkatkan kemampuannya melalui pendidikan di sekolah dan pola asuh orang tua di rumah. Pola asuh orang tua dipengaruhi oleh kondisi perekonomian, termasuk pada Keluarga Pra Sejahtera (PPS). Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pola asuh di PPS tentang kemandirian CwSL. Metode: Kualitatif dengan fokus studi kasus dengan pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Subyek penelitian adalah dua pasang orang tua MRC di PPS dengan unit analisis keluarga besar. Analisis data yang dilakukan adalah pencocokan pola, penjelasan dan analisis deret waktu. Uji transferabilitas dengan triangulasi data. Hasil: Tidak semua orang tua mengetahui kendala dan metode pengasuhan MRC karena kesibukan pekerjaan dan kurangnya pengetahuan akibat rendahnya latar belakang pendidikan. Kendala dan kebutuhan seorang anak dapat diketahui dari rekomendasi guru untuk dilakukan pemeriksaan lebih lanjut. Kesimpulan: Kemandirian sosial anak nampaknya lebih melibatkan nenek ketika orang tua bekerja. Namun perkembangan sosial anak juga bisa meningkat ketika orang tua mendapat terapi dari PLDPI.

Abstract

Background: Flourishing is the highest level of well-being in positive psychology. Flourishing individuals have high levels of well-being based on hedonic and eudaimonic well-being perspectives. Flourishing is a developing concept that has yet to be widely studied in positive psychology. Objective: This literature review aims to trace the development of theoretical concepts and scales that can be used to research the flourishing variable further. Methods: This research uses a literature review, which involves searching reputable journals for articles related to the concept and scale of flourishing. Results: The PERMA concept introduced by Seligman is the primary literature that forms the foundation for examining flourishing by combining two theories. This PERMA concept states that flourishing in individuals can be measured by five aspects: positive emotions, engagement, positive relationships, meaningfulness, and individual achievement. Conclusion: Other researchers then developed the PERMA concept as a reference for creating a flourishing scale. Keywords: Flourishing, well-being, theory, scale, literature review

Abstract

Indonesia is on the path of the Pacific Ring of Fire so all regions in Indonesia are prone to disasters. The last ten years have also seen many disasters in several areas. The reason is climate change which has an impact on erratic weather. This study aims to determine the effect of knowledge of disaster risk on perceptions of climate change in college students. Quantitative research method with 101 student subjects. The measurement tools used are disaster risk knowledge and climate change perceptions. The results of the study show that there is a relationship between knowledge of disaster risk and perceptions of climate change among college students. The effective contribution shows 39.3%, meaning that disaster risk knowledge contributes 39.3% to climate change perceptions, and 69.7% is influenced by other factors. The results also show that students' knowledge of disaster risk is low and students' perceptions of climate change are negative. The results of this study are important as a basis for making interventions in the form of more effective and massive education for students about disaster risk.
