This study aims to analyze and describe teachers’ and students’ perceptions about E-learning used in Minhah's class at the Markaz Arabiyah Arabic course institution. Technological progress is necessary and affects all aspects of life, including education. The influence of technological advancement can be found in the emergence of e-learning as an interactive learning media innovation that can be utilized in realizing active, innovative and independent learning and not only supporting students in mastering materials but also accelerating students in mastering 21st-century learning competencies. E-learning is becoming the right choice to realize effective distance learning. The method used in this research was a survey research method with a quantitative approach. Data were collected using observation techniques, questionnaires, and literature studies. The results showed that the Markaz Arabiyah e-learning used in learning at the Minhah Mesir Program was categorized as good in the visual aspect and quite good in the media engineering aspect, with an average percentage for the visual aspect of 79.2% and for the media engineering aspect of 71%. These results indicated that e-learning had a good appearance and features adjusted to progress technology and students' needs in accessing practice questions. However, regarding content and material aspects, Markaz Arabiyah was in a bad category with an average percentage score of 44% each. The category was not good for both indicators because the Markaz Arabiyah e-learning did not yet contain material and was only used as a learning evaluation media.

This study aims to reveal the denotation and connotation levels in cartoon Sulukiyyat al-Muslim al-Shaghir based on Roland Barthes' semiotic perspective and to reveal the values of Muslim character in that cartoon. This article is motivated by the phenomenon of people who are less concerned or even apathetic about the surrounding environment even though they live in an Islamic majority environment. This research type is qualitative. The data are taken from the cartoon Sulukiyyat al-Muslim al-Shaghir produced by Caartonile on YouTube. The data are collected using the watch and note technique. The data are validated by increasing persistence and discussing them with peers and experts. The data are analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques consisting of data presentation, data analysis, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the Muslim character values in cartoon Sulukiyyat al-Muslim al-Shaghir based on Roland Barthes' theory at the denotation and connotation levels are moral and social values. Moral values consist of four, namely ethics of giving advice, ethics of speaking, ethics of visiting, patience, and forgiveness. In the meantime, social values consist of three, namely respecting elders, not being wasteful, and maintaining public facilities.

This research aims to reveal the alignment of the BBC news portal in the conflict that occurred at the 2022 World Cup. From October to the end of November 2022, the BBC will carry headlines about the Qatar-LGBTQ community-FIFA triangular conflict. This BBC news is interesting to examine critically through the lens of Ruth Wodak (2001), namely historical and discursive strategies. This study uses the Wodak paradigm to criticize the BBC news text about the conflict to reveal the media's ideology and partiality in this case. Wodak always involves historical aspects of discourse content because news texts never stand alone but are related to events in the past. The discursive aspect becomes a tool to frame how news is presented using language as a social practice. The research results state that the BBC is a pro-LGBTQ community. This inclination can be seen from the BBC's language presentation, word choice, and the language structure used by the BBC in presenting news. The BBC is also very skilled at inserting rejection of Qatar's principles through human rights presentations.

This research aimed to develop a textbook called "al-Muhadastah" and tested its effectiveness in improving Arabic language skills for all first-year students at the Mawaridussalaam Islamic Boarding School during the 2021-2022 academic years. This research was triggered by a phenomenon that according to new students learning Arabic, muhadastah lessons were difficult and boring. This was because the textbook used was not in accordance with their abilities. The research method employed the ADDIE Research and Development (R&D) concept. The design of this research was One-Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. Interviews, questionnaires, tests, and papers were employed to obtain the data. This study's results were based on the presentation and analysis of data on the effectiveness of the textbook “al-Muhadastah al-Yaumiyyah†to improve the Arabic speaking skills of the new students at Mawaridussalam Islamic Boarding School. The textbooks developed had also been declared valid by experts, comprising the experts of language, design, and content. Pre-test and post-test results showed that before using the textbooks students had a mean score of (59.17) on post-tests. After using the textbooks, that score went up to (80.50) which meant that the pre-test and post-test mean scores of the students differed significantly. Similarly, the results of the efficiency test (Paired Sample T-Test) were efficient. The results obtained from these two experiments by analysing the data from the second experiment showed a significant difference between the two experiments that Sig. (2-tailed) the result was 0,000 < (less than) 0,005. It was found that the medium might help students get better at speaking Arabic and understand the subject better.

This study aims to work on an ASP (Arabic for Specific Purposes) model designed by Arabic-speaking tour guides. As the background, the increase in the number of tourists coming from the Middle East from year to year shows that Indonesian tourism is in high demand, but it seems that the tourism industry in Indonesia does not expect the number of tourists coming from the Middle East to increase because both the government and the private sector are doing more promotion. Arabic language teaching especially in the realm of tourism becomes the center of this study. This research uses a qualitative approach, and the data collection techniques subsume interviews, observations, and documentation from the implementation of ASP training in Jogjakarta. This study has found that the ASP Model for tourism is student-centered learning with practical-based learning strategies considering needs analysis and prior information. ASP model is prepared for students at an advanced level. Students are also familiar with the basics of tourist guidance and interpretation skills in tourism. The foregoing is underlined by a notion that the teaching of ASP for tourism is inseparable from fluency of speech and comfortable statements. Â

The aim of this research is to see how using a mnemonic method with a deductive approach affects in shorof learning outcomes of Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies students at Nahdhatul Ulama University Yogyakarta. Success in learning can be influenced by the selection of appropriate methods by the teacher during learning. One of the methods that can be used is the mnemonic method. This quantitative research used an experimental technique, a quasi-one-group pretest-posttest design. The acquired data were evaluated using descriptive statistical tests, a normality test with Kolmogorov-Smirnov, and a paired sample t-test. The findings of this research demonstrated that using the rhyme mnemonic method with a deductive approach to the subject of isim jamid in shorof learning, paired with the rhyme of sholawat badar, had an effect on students' learning outcomes. This was shown by an increase in the average students’ pretest score from 61.50 to the average students’ posttest score of 81.67. The results of the significant value of the paired sample t-test being 0.000 also reinforced this effect. These significant findings revealed that Sig 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a substantial difference in students’ learning outcomes before and after using the mnemonic method with a deductive approach in shorof learning. Suggestions for further research are to vary learning methods and approaches, considering that this way can affect the level of students’ understanding of the materials taught.

This article aimed to describe the results of research related to the design of Arabic language learning media using the Plotagon application, as an alternative interactive Arabic learning media which was still very lacking. The research was conducted using research and development (R&D) with the Borg & Gall Model development model. The research results showed that based on the validation results of the Arabic language learning media using the Plotagon application by material experts, which included learning aspects and material content aspects, an average score of 4.62 (very good) was obtained with feasibility test results of 92.5%. Meanwhile, the assessment from media experts, encompassing appearance aspects and programming aspects, obtained an average score of 4.70 (very good) with a feasibility result of 94.19%. Consequently, the Arabic language learning media based on the Plotagon application proved to be suitable for use. The utilization of Plotagon animation in learning speaking skills made it easier for students to comprehend the material and increased students’ enthusiasm and motivation. Based on the results of data processing, it was evident that the developed Plotagon animation could be used in the learning process.Â

The purpose of the study was to investigate the progress of improving student learning outcomes by using cooperative learning methods. Changes in the educational paradigm require teachers to be able to provide meaningful learning and and make students the focus of learning. The selection of learning methods that are in line with the educational paradigm is a must. It is supposed to that the learning objectives can be achieved optimally. Implementation of learning Arabic at MTs. Sheikh Khalid was found by the author only use the lecture method and the media used was only a blackboard. The problem faced is the lack of motivation, boredom and lack of enthusiasm in participating in learning activities which causes low student learning outcomes and learning objectives are not achieved. Therefore, researchers offer cooperative learning methods as a solution to these problems due to the fact that this method directs students to be active and independent in the learning process. In this study, researchers used quantitative quasi-experimental methods. The research sample is a saturated sample. Therefore, the population in this study was all class IX MTs Sheikh Khalid. The result shows that cooperative learning method is a method that is compatible with the new educational paradigm, namely the SCL approach. This can be seen from the focus of learning which is centered on student activity. Therefore, the teacher's role as a facilitator is no longer the only source of learning for students. Another finding of this research shows that cooperative learning with its various types is able to respond to the changing paradigm of education with the SCL approach.

This article aimed to compare students' Arabic language learning outcomes of speaking skills due to the use of Audio-Lingual and direct methods. The author compared the results of the two methods to see their impacts on students’ Arabic speaking skills at Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Iman Ulu Gedong. This referred to comparative quantitative research with the type of experimental research (Post-Test-Only Control). The results of this research showed that: 1). Students' Arabic speaking skills using the Audio-Lingual method obtained the highest score of 95 and the lowest score of 53 with an average of 73.79. 2). Students’ Arabic speaking skills using the Direct method obtained the highest score of 66 and the lowest score of 28 with an average of 47.71. Thus, students’ Arabic speaking skills taught using the Audio-lingual method were higher than those taught using the direct method. 3). Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the paired sample t-test, there was a significant difference in learning outcomes of students' Arabic speaking skills as getting taught by using Audio-lingual and the Direct methods.

This research aims to discuss the concepts and forms of differences in Arabic in the Koran and to uncover the facts about whether these differences have implications for Arabic language learning in Indonesia. The Arabic language that we study is not only a foreign language but also a noble language due to the language of the Koran. Even though they both use the same language, there are several differences between the Arabic language in the Koran and the one studied. This research used a library research method in a way that collected information and data with the help of various kinds of literature related to the research theme. The results of this research fell into: 1) The language contained in the Qur'an is the same, but the meanings and language used are different because the Qur'an was created so that no one could compare it. 2) Even though the Arabic language in the Koran and learning are different, this is not an obstacle to the language learning process in Indonesia; it will give Arabic its own special features. 3) The existence of differences in Arabic in the Qur'an has positive implications for variations in the word meanings in terms of both synonyms and antonyms; this will provide a richness of language in the application and learning of the language itself.
