Abstract

This study aims to examine the mediating role of work motivation in the relationship between talent management and compensation with employee performance in Community Health Center (in Indoneia terminology is called Puskesmas) in Surabaya. Using a quantitative approach and survey design, data were collected from employees of Puskesmas in the Semampir District. Statistical analysis was conducted to test the mediating effect of work motivation. The results indicate that both talent management and compensation significantly enhance employee performance, both directly and indirectly, by increasing work motivation. These findings highlight the importance of motivation as a key factor that strengthens the impact of human resource practices on employee performance. The implication of this research is that effective talent management and fair compensation systems should be prioritized by healthcare managers to improve service quality through more motivated and high-performing staff.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality, corporate image, and customer relationship marketing (CRM) on customer loyalty, mediated by trust, commitment, and satisfaction, in the context of Indihome as the leading fixed broadband provider in Indonesia. The research also seeks to provide managerial recommendations to strengthen customer retention strategies in a highly competitive telecommunications market. A quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-AMOS) was applied. Data were collected through purposive sampling from 300 Indihome customers via online questionnaires. Validity and reliability were tested with CFA, AVE, and CR.  Service quality significantly impacts trust, commitment, satisfaction, and loyalty. Corporate image affects trust, commitment, and satisfaction but not loyalty directly. Satisfaction emerges as the strongest driver of loyalty. This research contributes by examining simultaneously the effects of service quality, corporate image, and CRM on loyalty in the Indonesian fixed broadband industry, a context that has been relatively underexplored. The originality lies in demonstrating that satisfaction and commitment serve as stronger mediators of loyalty compared to trust, challenging prior studies that emphasized corporate image and trust as direct predictors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze internal and external factors influencing PT Metra-Net’s business, identify strategic alternatives to support its digital business development, formulate strategic priorities to increase sales and growth, and derive managerial implications to align Metranet’s vision and mission with its parent company, Telkom Indonesia. The research employed a qualitative approach conducted from October to December 2024. Data were collected through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and in-depth interviews with seven participants: four internal Metranet personnel, two from Telkom, and one Metranet product user. The analysis used the External Factor Evaluation (EFE), Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE), SWOT analysis, and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). Findings revealed various internal strengths and weaknesses, along with external opportunities and threats shaping Metranet’s business development. Based on these insights, strategic alternatives were formulated using SWOT analysis and then prioritized using QSPM to determine the most suitable options for implementation. The recommended strategies are expected to strengthen Metranet’s competitive advantage in the digital industry and enhance its contribution to Telkom. As the first study focusing on Metranet’s business development strategy, this research enriches the literature on strategic management, especially in the context of digital transformation and subsidiaries of state-owned enterprises.

Abstract

One of Indonesia's leading commodities, characterized by high economic value and broad market demand both domestically and internationally, is cinnamon, which is frequently utilized in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries. This research aims to deeply analyze the marketing risks experienced by distributors, thereby identifying the main opportunities and challenges in enhancing cinnamon marketing at UD Hilal Jaya Makmur, Mojokerto, by employing a descriptive qualitative and quantitative methodological approach, along with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fishbone Diagram, and Pareto analysis. The research findings indicate that the primary risks faced include uncertain price fluctuations and high transportation costs, while opportunities arise through marketing digitalization and establishing long-term contracts with partners, given the high global demand for spices. However, significant challenges persist, encompassing limited market access, inconsistent product quality standards, and continuously rising distribution costs; therefore, it is recommended that the company create stable price contracts with regular buyers, enhance the raw material storage system to maintain quality, implement quality standards compliant with regulations, expand sales reach via both offline and online channels, and overall improve distribution efficiency to address these challenges and support business sustainability.

Abstract

This study introduces the "spiritual amplification effect" by examining how workplace spirituality moderates the link between employee engagement and innovative work behavior among Indonesian university lecturers. Using PLS-SEM on 70 tenured faculty, we tested a moderated mediation model including work autonomy, organizational support, and engagement. Results show workplace spirituality more than doubles the engagement–innovation effect (β = .53 vs. β = .23). Both autonomy and support influence innovation directly and indirectly. This is the first empirical evidence of spirituality as a key moderator in academic innovation, offering a novel framework with cross-cultural relevance for higher education leadership.

Abstract

This study examines the role of firm-generated content (FGC) and user-generated content (UGC) in influencing tourist visiting decisions to Kampung Wisata Caping, Pontianak. Using a quantitative survey of 166 respondents and analyzed with structural equation modeling (SEM-PLS), the results reveal that UGC significantly affects both visit intention and decision, whereas FGC only influences visiting decisions directly, not intentions. Furthermore, visit intention mediates the relationship between UGC and visiting decisions but not between FGC and visiting decisions. These findings highlight the complementary roles of FGC as informational validation and UGC as a driver of authentic engagement in tourism marketing.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how elementary school teachers can improve innovative work behavior (IWB) with job autonomy (JA) and the role of intrinsic motivation (IM) among them. using a quantitative approach with a population of 882 elementary school teachers in North Bengkulu. While the research sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique by considering the criteria of teachers who are actively teaching. The number of respondents who participated was 260 teachers. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire that measures work autonomy, intrinsic motivation, and innovative work behavior. Validity and reliability were tested through factor loading, Cronbach's Alpha, Composite Reliability (CR), and Average Variance Extracted (AVE). Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) through SmartPLS 4. The research findings indicate that job autonomy has a significant positive effect on intrinsic motivation and innovative work behavior. Intrinsic motivation also has a positive effect on innovative work behavior; however, its mediating role between job autonomy and innovative behavior is not statistically significant. This suggests that autonomy directly drives teachers' innovative behavior, while intrinsic motivation strengthens their engagement but does not fully explain the relationship. This study was only conducted on elementary school teachers in North Bengkulu, so the results cannot be generalized. This study is expected to provide further information and understanding regarding the role of intrinsic motivation as a mediator and the influence of job autonomy in improving teachers' innovative work behavior, in order to help students better understand learning in a more innovative way.

Abstract
