Abstract

In computing discourse, a Chatbot is a computer programme that is specifically designed to simulate an interactive communication or conversation. The interactive communication is from the machine to the user (human) either through text media, sound media or visual media. Chatbots have been widely used for practical purposes such as online assistance, personalised services, or information acquisition, including in the world of global marketing. The purpose of this research is to describe how a chatbot platform provides its best function in supporting a marketing task of a corporation at a global level. The methods used in this research are: 1) System Analysis, which is the collection of information needed in building the system must be done in detail. Where this information will support all the components needed to obtain results that are in accordance with all the needs related to the design of the system to be input, 2) Preparation of flowcharts, namely the design by entering data on the status of conversations that are commonly carried out by the Help-Desk with customers. Where when the user enters a word or sentence in the column that is already available in the system, a word or sentence search process will be carried out based on the noun, this process is useful for matching whether the input given by the user is in the set of nouns that have been trained in dialogue flow. The result obtained is that the website becomes one of the company's main media in marketing its products because the website already includes all information related to the product and also related to the company. However, when using the website alone, there is no direct communication with potential buyers. Therefore, this research will develop a chatbot that can improve the performance of the Spicering ltd website.

Abstract

The problem that is often faced in groundwater management, especially deep groundwater such as boreholes is hardness. This can happen because in the process of taking it from the soil through various layers of soil including limestone soil containing Ca and Mg, so that the water becomes hard. Hard water is found in areas where the top soil layer is thick and there is limestone formation. This study aims to identify the physical quality and hardness level of clean water sourced from dug wells and drilled wells, after treatment through filtration methods. Filtration is carried out using mixed media with variations in residence time in the filtration media, namely 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 90 minutes. The results showed that the effectiveness of reducing hardness in dug wells and drilled wells was highest for a variation in 90 minutes, For dug wells, the effectiveness of 90 minutes of residence time reached 9.18% and for drilled wells, the effectiveness reached 16.36%.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and document the local food security system in the Semende traditional community based on tunggu tubang indigenous knowledge. The study was conducted in 3 districts of Muara Enim, South Sumatra, involving 81 people from 5 villages practicing the tunggu tubang custom. Using a mixed method, the research took place from July to August 2023.The findings revealed that while tunggu tubang adherents still inherit rice fields and agricultural land, some no longer own rice fields. Inheriting rice fields has led to sufficient food availability but does not guarantee good food security. 50.6% of respondents experienced mild food insecurity due to the traditional sandwich generation where they have to support their parents and closest family. Despite this, most children (56.6%) showed good nutritional status. This research identifies and documents the local food security system in the Semende traditional community. It reveals the importance of tunggu tubang in maintaining food availability but acknowledges the challenges in achieving food security. The findings provide valuable insights for developing educational initiatives to address climate change and food security

Abstract

This research aims to achieve male sex reversal in Nile Tilapia (Orechromis niloticus) of the red NIFI strain through high-temperature incubation during the embryonic or pre-swimming larval phase. Larvae resulting from the natural mating of red NIFI strain broodstock were incubated under temperature treatments of 31oC, 33oC, 35oC, and a control group (<30oC), each with three replicates. Temperature regulation was facilitated using a heater.  During the initial 3 hours of incubation, the heater was turned off for 6 hours, followed by another 3 hours of incubation with the heater on. This pattern was repeated daily until the larvae began to swim. The treated larvae were then reared for 90 days. Thirty specimens from each replicate were identified for gender using the squash acetocarmine method. The study results indicated that temperature differences significantly influenced (p<0.05) the sex ratio of Nile tilapia in the red NIFI strain. The highest proportion of males was achieved at 33oC, at 73.33%, and 35oC, at 64.43%. There were no significant differences (p>0.05) in fry survival rates at 7 days and after 90 days of rearing.

Abstract

The pitot tube is a component in the fuselage to measure the pressure generated by air movement or wind, while the placement of the pitot tube is usually on the wing. A trivial thing that can be fatal is that before flying, sometimes the pilot/flight instructor neglects to remove the pitot tank cover. This negligence resulted in the malfunctioning of the Air Speed Indicator (ASI), Vertical Speed Indicator and Altimeter. Appropriate technology in the form of a pitot tube cover with a warning using an ultrasonic sensor with the support of artificial intelligence technology using Arduino has been applied to the Piper Seneca V aircraft to prevent negligence in removing the pitot tube cover before flying. The Piper Seneca V has been chosen as the object of the application of technology because the Piper Seneca V type aircraft is of the low wing type so that the pitot tubes are not visible when not inspecting the underside of the aircraft's wings. During 30 days of testing with 12 hours of testing time each day and exposure to different temperatures and humidity each day, both battery life and component resistance can be ensured that they are still in optimal conditions. During testing in the simulation room, the tool worked well with a 1 meter object detection configuration. Using a 3.7 volt battery with a storage capacity of 1600 mAh can make the device last for 4 days with 2 hours of recharging time.
