Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh dan efektivitas brain-based learning berbantuan PhET Interactive Simulations terhadap pemahaman konseptual matematika siswa sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Sampel terdiri dari 28 siswa kelas IV di sebuah sekolah dasar di Jakarta Selatan yang dipilih secara acak. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 4-29 Maret 2024. Siswa diberikan tes pemahaman konseptual matematika sebelum (pretest) dan sesudah (posttest) penerapan brain-based learning berbantuan PhET. Data dianalisis menggunakan paired sample t-test untuk mengukur pengaruh dan Uji N-Gain untuk efektivitas. Hasil analisis paired sample t-test menunjukkan nilai sig sebesar 0,00 < 0,05, yang mengindikasikan adanya pengaruh signifikan brain-based learning berbantuan PhET terhadap pemahaman konseptual matematika siswa. Uji N-Gain menunjukkan rata-rata presentasi sebesar 59,94%, yang berarti brain-based learning berbantuan PhET cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual siswa. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi BBL dan PhET Interactive Simulations efektif meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar. The effect of brain-based learning assisted by PhET interactive simulations on elementary school students' mathematical conceptual understanding ability Abstract: This study aims to examine the impact and effectiveness of brain-based learning supported by PhET Interactive Simulations on elementary students' conceptual understanding of mathematics. The research method employed is a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sample consisted of 28 fourth-grade students from an elementary school in South Jakarta, selected randomly. The study was conducted from March 4 to March 29, 2024. Students were given a conceptual understanding test in mathematics both before (pretest) and after (posttest) the implementation of brain-based learning supported by PhET. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test to measure the impact and the N-Gain test to assess effectiveness. The paired sample t-test analysis showed a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05, indicating a significant impact of brain-based learning supported by PhET on students' conceptual understanding of mathematics. The N-Gain test revealed an average score of 59.94%, suggesting that brain-based learning supported by PhET is fairly effective in enhancing students' conceptual understanding. These findings indicate that the integration of brain-based learning and PhET Interactive Simulations effectively improves the quality of mathematics education in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop and assess the suitability of an educational gaming media assisted by Quizwhizzer as an endeavor to enhance elementary school students' legal literacy. Employing the Research and Development (R&D) methodology within the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation), this study evaluated the media's suitability across three dimensions: content, language, and presentation. The findings revealed that content, language, and presentation were all validated with high scores content received an average Aiken’s V score of 0.89 (Highly Valid) with 93% agreement among validators, while language and presentation received scores of 1 (Highly Valid) with similar agreement percentages. These results collectively endorse the product's suitability for educational use. This educational gaming media was specifically evaluated for its potential to enhance second-grade students' understanding of Pancasila education, focusing on regulations to improve their legal literacy.

Abstract

Kurikulum dapat dianggap sebagai alat untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan. Setelah sebelas kali pergantian kurikulum di Indonesia, pada tahun 2022 pemerintah kembali mengubah kurikulum dengan memperkenalkan kurikulum merdeka. Oleh karena perubahan dari kurikulum 2013 menjadi kurikulum merdeka, maka diperlukan penyesuaian dan usaha yang dilakukan untuk mengembangkan kompetensi guru dalam menghadapi masa revolusi merdeka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami pengembangan kompetensi guru dalam menjaga pelestarian masa kondisi kemandirian. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dengan teknik wawancara semi terstruktur dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah setelah dilaksanakan selama hampir 1 tahun pembelajaran dengan tantangan dan tantangan yang dihadapi juga pembekalan akan kurikulum merdeka, sekolah dapat menggunakan kurikulum merdeka dengan baik. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah dalam mendukung keberhasilan implementasi iklim merdeka diperlukan pengembangan kompetensi guru melalui sosialisasi, lokakarya, dan pelatihan yang dibekali oleh pemerintah dan yayasan. Teacher competency development in facing the transition period of the Merdeka Curriculum Abstract: The curriculum is a tool to achieve educational goals. In 2022, the government will change the curriculum again by introducing a Merdeka Curriculum. Because of these changes, adjustments are needed and efforts are made to develop teacher competence in facing the transition period of the independent curriculum. The aim of this research is to understand the development of teacher competency in facing the transition period of the independent curriculum. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out by literature study and interviews. The results of this research are that teachers have a main role in facilitating the learning process. In facing the transition to the independent curriculum, schools must prepare teacher competencies, namely pedagogical competencies, personality competencies, social competencies and professional competencies that are adapted to the independent curriculum. After almost 1 year of learning with the obstacles and challenges faced as well as the provision of the independent curriculum, the school was able to use the independent curriculum well. The conclusion of this research is that to support the successful implementation of the independent curriculum, it is necessary to develop teacher competency through outreach, workshops, and training provided by the government and foundations.

Abstract

Peserta didik mempunyai gaya belajar yang unik sehingga guru harus merancang pembelajaran yang berbeda. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan analisis proses dan hasil pembelajaran berbasis gaya belajar dalam konteks diferensiasi pembelajaran menulis. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Penelitian studi kasus ini melibatkan seluruh peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar di 5 Kecamatan di Kota Tasikmalaya dengan jumlah 100 peserta didik. Sampel diambil dengan Teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, angket gaya belajar, dan studi dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa: (1) pelaksanaan pembelajaran gaya belajar peserta didik dalam konteks diferensiasi pembelajaran menulis di Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar menghasilkan rerata skor yang berkategori baik yang ditandai dengan terpenuhi dan terlaksanakannya proses pembelajaran secara runtut diawali persiapan pembelajaran sampai dengan proses penutupan pembelajaran di kelas; dan (3) penilaian dan hasil pembelajaran gaya belajar peserta didik dalam konteks diferensiasi pembelajaran menulis di Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar menghasilkan rerata skor yang berkategori baik yang ditandai dengan terpenuhinya persiapan penilaian sampai dengan pelaksanaan tindak lanjut terhadap pengetahuan peserta didik. Maka, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan penilaian hasil pembelajaran gaya belajar peserta didik dalam konteks diferensiasi pembelajaran menulis di Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar menghasilkan rerata skor yang berkategori baik. Learning style analysis in the context of writing learning differentiation Abstract: Learners have unique learning styles so that teachers must design differentiated learning. This study was conducted with the aim of describing the analysis of learning style-based learning processes and outcomes in the context of writing learning differentiation. This research uses qualitative research with the type of case study. This case study research involved all fourth grade students of elementary schools in 5 sub-districts in Tasikmalaya City with a total of 100 students. The sample was taken with purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques were interviews, learning style questionnaires, and documentation studies. The research findings revealed that: (1) the implementation of learning styles of learners in the context of differentiation of writing learning in Class IV elementary schools produces an average score that is categorized as good which is characterized by the fulfillment and implementation of the learning process coherently starting from the preparation of learning to the closing process of learning in the classroom; and (3) assessment and learning outcomes of learning styles of learners in the context of differentiation of writing learning in Class IV elementary schools produces an average score that is categorized as good which is characterized by the fulfillment of the preparation of assessment to the implementation of follow-up on the knowledge of learners. So, it can be concluded that the implementation of learning and assessment of learning outcomes of learning styles of learners in the context of differentiation of writing learning in Class IV Elementary School produces an average score that is categorized as good.

Abstract

This research is entitled Garap Performing Arts Ethnomathematics Theater Integrated with Islamic Values in Elementary Schools, which aims to describe the performance process that is part of the Art Work Degree program at SD Negeri Cicadas Cisaat Kab. Sukabumi. To explore the data, the Project Based Research method is used, namely research based on previous projects that have been carried out by the school and then become special notes for researchers to improve and package the project to be made.  The findings of the research consisted of four aspects, namely diagnosing the problem found that the previous performance was held in the classroom and packaged by dubbing. Planning was made by researchers by recommending Children's Theater performances that combine several branches of art (drama, music, dance). Implementation of the plan took the form of a partial and combined training process. The evaluation of the activity was the presentation of a Children's Theater performance in front of a public audience.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas masalah rendahnya motivasi siswa dalam belajar matematika dan terbatasnya peran guru dalam mengembangkan keterampilan mengajar matematika. Hal ini sejalan dengan temuan bahwa banyak siswa yang salah memahami konsep geometri, bahkan mereka yang memahami konsep matematika mungkin kurang konsisten dalam pemahaman mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat peraga “Kota Geometri” berdasarkan Metode Montessori untuk siswa kelas 4 SD, dengan menggunakan model Research and Development (RnD) 4D, yang meliputi tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Analisis data menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif, dengan melibatkan 42 siswa dari SDN 2 Jambearum dan SDN 3 Jambearum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alat peraga “Kota Geometri” secara efektif meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang bentuk-bentuk bidang dan memotivasi mereka untuk belajar matematika. Alat ini mendapat nilai 98,68% untuk kelayakan materi dan 98,52% untuk kelayakan media, yang menunjukkan kesesuaian yang tinggi untuk penelitian ini. Selain itu, terdapat korelasi positif yang kuat antara nilai pre-test dan post-test, yang menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan motivasi dengan menggunakan alat peraga “Kota Geometri” berdasarkan metode Montessori.  'Geometry Town' teaching tool boosts math motivation and understandingAbstract: This research addresses the issue of low motivation in learning mathematics and the limited role of teachers in developing mathematical teaching skills. It aligns with the finding that many students misunderstand geometry concepts, even those who grasp mathematical concepts may lack consistency in their understanding. The study aims to develop a "Geometry Town" teaching tool based on the Montessori Method for grade 4 students, using the Research and Development (RnD) model 4D, encompassing definition, design, development, and dissemination stages. Data analysis involves both quantitative and qualitative methods, with 42 students from SDN 2 Jambearum and SDN 3 Jambearum. Results indicate that the "Geometry Town" tool effectively enhances students' understanding of plane shapes and motivates them to learn mathematics. The tool scored 98.68% in material feasibility and 98.52% in media feasibility, demonstrating its high suitability for the study. Additionally, there is a strong positive correlation between pre-test and post-test scores, indicating improved understanding and motivation using the "Geometry Town" tool based on the Montessori method.

Abstract

Pembelajar bahasa asing umumnya mengalami kesulitan dalam mengungkapkan pemikirannya menggunakan bahasa Inggris. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengkarakterisasi elemen konteks, input, proses, dan produk pada kurikulum pembelajaran bahasa Inggris yang mampu meningkatkan kemampuan public speaking. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriprif. Partisipan pada penelitian ini melibatkan pimpinan lembaga fakultas dan prodi, dosen, mahasiswa, dan staf akademik di Univeristas Pasundan Tahun Ajaran 2023-2024 semester ganjil. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi program public speaking berdasarkan: (1) aspek konteks, poin tujuan pendidikan tinggi dan tujuan kompetensi lulusan sebagai tolak ukur menganalisa evaluasi konteks yang sesuai dengan misi dan tujuan fakultas dan universitas; (2) aspek input terdapat lima indicator dan empat regulasi yang telah sesuai dengan data dari fakultas dan universitas; (3) aspek proses, startegi data yang tersedia sesuai dengan tolak ukur; dan (4) aspek produk, menghasilkan kerangka dan model kerja implementasi kurikulum bahasa Inggris bagi mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan public speaking. Kurikulum bahasa Inggris di FKIP UNPAS mampu mewujudkan alumni yang berkompeten untuk bersaing mendapatkan kesempatan kerja sampai tingkat internasional. Evaluation of the public speaking program in the implementation of the English Curriculum Abstract Foreign language learners generally experience difficulties in expressing their thoughts using English. The purpose of this study is to characterize the context, input, process, and product elements of the English language learning curriculum that can improve public speaking skills. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. The participants in this study involved institutional leaders of faculties and study programs, lecturers, students, and academic staff at Pasundan University in the academic year 2023-2024 odd semester. The data were obtained through observation and documentation. The results showed that the evaluation of the public speaking program based on: (1) context aspects, points of higher education goals, and graduate competency objectives as benchmarks analyzing context evaluation in accordance with the mission and objectives of the faculty and university; (2) input aspects, there are five indicators and four regulations that are in accordance with data from faculties and universities; (3) process aspects, available data strategies in accordance with benchmarks; and (4) product aspects, producing a framework and working model for implementing the English curriculum for students to improve public speaking skills. The English curriculum at FKIP UNPAS is able to realize competent alumni to compete for job opportunities at the international level.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik kelas IV SDN 8 Metro Timur. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari pendekatan open ended terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik mata pelajaran matematika kelas IV SDN Metro Timur. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan metode quasi esperiment desain  bentuk desain non equivalent control group desain. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik nontes dan tes. Analisis data menggunakan uji t. hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari pendekatan open ended terhadap kemampuan berpikir peserta didik kelas IV SDN 8 Metro Timur dan Ha diterima. Selain itu, hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwasannya siswa kelas eksperimen mengalami kenaikan rerata yang lebih besar jika dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. The effect of open-ended approach on creative thinking skills of elementary school students Abstract: The problem with this study is the low creative thinking ability of grade IV SDN 8 Metro Timur students. This study aimed to determine the positive and significant influence of the open-ended approach on the creative thinking abilities of students in mathematics at grade IV SDN Metro Timur. This type of research is an experimental study using a quasi-experimental design method for nonequivalent control group design. The data collection technique was carried out using non-test and test techniques. Data analysis using t-test. The results showed that the open-ended approach positively and significantly affected the thinking skills of fourth-grade students at SDN 8 Metro Timur and Ha. In addition, the study's results also showed that the experimental class students experienced a greater average increase compared to the control class.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan peserta didik dalam kemampuan pemecahan masakah sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil analisis kemampuan peserta didik dalam pemecahan masalah terhadap soal cerita materi operasi hitung campuran bilangan cacah sehingga hal ini berguna sebagai bahan bagi guru sebagai upaya untuk dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik. Hasil analisis dapat digunakan untuk memperbaiki kualitas pembelajaran khususnya masalah matematis peserta didik di sekolah dasar. Penelitian yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan instrumen penelitian digunakan berupa tes diagnostik yang dilakukan pada kelas IV di salah satu SD yang berada di Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menyatakan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang dimiliki peserta didik berdasarkan hasil jawaban dari tes soal cerita materi operasi hitung campuran bilangan cacah yaitu memahami masalah (83%), merencanakan pemecahan masalah (75%), menyelesaikan masalah (79%), dan mengecek kembali (95%). Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kekeliruan yang paling banyak dilakukan adalah peserta didik tidak memahami masalah sehingga ketika selesai mengerjakan soal peserta didik tidak mengecek kembali soal yang telah dikerjakan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, guru perlu merancang atau mengembangkan inovasi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif untuk meminimalisir kesalahan yang terjadi terutama kesalahan dalam memahami masalah dan mengecek kembali. Analysis of problem-solving ability of mixed arithmetic operation story problems in class IV Abstract: This study is motivated by the lack of ability of students in problem-solving ability so this study aims to determine the results of the analysis of the ability of students in problem-solving on the story problem of the mixed arithmetic operation of numerical numbers so that this is useful as a material for teachers as an effort to be able to improve the problem-solving ability of students. The results of the analysis can be used to improve the quality of learning, especially the mathematical problems of students in elementary schools. The research used is using a qualitative descriptive method with research instruments used in the form of diagnostic tests conducted in class IV in one of the elementary schools in Tasikmalaya Regency. The results of the research conducted state that the problem-solving abilities possessed by students based on the results of the answers to the story problem test on mixed counting operations of small numbers are understanding the problem (83%), planning problem-solving (75%), solving the problem (79%), and checking back (95%). So, it can be concluded that the most common mistake made is that students do not understand the problem so when they finish working on the problem students do not check back the problems that have been done. Based on the results of this study, teachers need to design or develop more effective learning innovations to minimize the errors that occur, especially errors in understanding the problem and checking back.

Abstract

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) merupakan suatu gangguan perkembangan saraf yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan anak. Penelitian mengenai ADHD sendiri belum banyak dilakukan khususnya di Indonesia, dan penderita ADHD selalu mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat arah perkembangan penelitian pada tren topik ADHD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis bibliometrik untuk memetakan dan menganalisis perkembangan penelitian. Penelitian bibliometrik ini menggunakan data yang bersumber dari database Scopus dari tahun 2014 hingga 2023. Analisis data tersebut dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi Biblioshiny. Hasil analisis dari aspek yang terdapat pada bibliometrik antara lain, pada topik ADHD selalu menunjukkan peningkatan setiap tahunnya, sumber yang paling banyak melakukan publikasi, dokumen yang sering disitasi dan kata-kata yang sering muncul seperti “Female”, “Male”, dan “Child” yang terus berkembang seiring dengan munculnya kata-kata atau tema penelitian baru. Artinya temuan ini memberikan gambaran komprehensif tentang bagaimana topik ini berkembang dan memberikan dasar yang kuat untuk penelitian dan kolaborasi lebih lanjut antara bidang kesehatan dan bidang pendidikan. Selain itu dapat dilihat bahwa arah perkembangan penelitian dengan topik ADHD akan terus meningkat dengan fokus yang beragam. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) topic trends: A Bibliometric Analysis using Biblioshiny Abstract:  Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects children's growth. Research on ADHD itself has not been done much, especially in Indonesia, where ADHD sufferers always increase every year. The purpose of this study is to see the direction of research development on ADHD topic trends. This research uses quantitative methods with bibliometric analysis to map and analyze the development of research. This bibliometric research uses data sourced from the Scopus database from 2014 to 2023. The data analysis was carried out using the Biblioshiny application. The results of the analysis of the aspects contained in bibliometrics include, among others, the topic of ADHD always shows an increase every year, the most published sources, documents that are often cited and words that often appear such as “Female”, “Male”, and “Child” which continue to grow along with the emergence of new words or research themes. This means that the findings provide a comprehensive picture of how this topic is evolving and provide a strong basis for further research and collaboration between the health and education fields. In addition, it can be seen that the direction of research development on the topic of ADHD will continue to increase with a diverse focus.
