Abstract

This research discusses the competence of Islamic Leadership adapted from the thoughts of Shaykh Abdullah Ad Dumaiji in the book al-imamatul udzma 'inda Ahlu as-Sunnah wal Jamaah or translated Imamah Uzhma Islamic Leadership Concept. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods, this research is also library research. In other words, researchers look for books, writings, or documents related to the theme then researcher organize them into a topic of discussion with analysis. Shaykh Abdullah Ad-Dumaiji said that there are at least eleven requirements to become an imam. They are Islam, puberty, reason, independence, male, knowledge, justice, self-sufficiency, physical prowess, not ambitious for the Imamate, and descent from the Quraish. He explained his inclination towards the view that the one who is more capable of realizing the objectives of the Imamate is the one who is more entitled to be appointed as Imam, whether he is the best or not the best. For if he is personally pious but weak in management then his weakness will affect the ummah as a whole. On the other hand, if he is strong in politics and can manage all issues well, but he is negligent in obedience, then the impact of his negligence is entirely his personal responsibility, the ummah does not bear it. Of course, the best is the one who has the ability and has a good example in practicing religion.

Abstract

Since the introduction of Islamic banking in 1991, the Islamic economy has experienced significant growth. Many products and services have been introduced by sharia banks and other financial institutions to facilitate this need, with reference to various fatwas from the National Sharia Council - Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI). One of the services provided by sharia banking is multiservice financing, which is recognized as sharia valid through DSN-MUI Fatwa No: 44/DSN-MUI/VIII/2004. The focus of this research is on kafalah contracts, because DSN-MUI Fatwa No: 44/DSN-MUI/VIII/2004 allows multiservice financing using ijarah and kafalah contracts. Kafalah bil ujrah, as defined in the fatwa, is a guarantee transaction provided by a bank in exchange for wages. However, the legality of this contract is controversial because the arguments put forward by DSN-MUI are different from the standard arguments applied by AAOIFI, which actually prohibits it. Therefore, creative thinking is needed to find alternative contracts that can overcome this controversy and enable further developments in Islamic banking. The problem studied in this research is the concept of the kafalah contract according to the fatwa of the two institutions and the method of determining the fatwa (istinbath) of the two institutions regarding the kafalah contract. This research is library research with qualitative analysis. The method used is descriptive-comparative with the bayani, ta'lili and istislahi approaches.

Abstract

The mutual cooperation between the customer and the capital owner, namely Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil or BMT, is a partnership allowed by Allah SWT as long as there is no oppression towards either party in the partnership. "Musyarakah" itself is a form of cooperative agreement between two or more parties for a business endeavor in which each party contributes, and profits are shared equally while risks are collectively borne according to the agreements made by the parties involved. In this research, it can be analyzed that the Musyarakah practiced at BMT Fadhilah Santosa involves a management system where customers have full control, and BMT only provides motivation and input to advance the customer's business. Regarding profit-sharing calculations, BMT only determines the percentage of profit distribution, while the customers collectively decide the rest. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive research with an inductive and categorical mindset. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be analyzed that the Musyarakah financing at BMT Fadhilah Santosa is not fully in line with the fatwa issued by DSN-MUI. This is evident in the issues related to capital and loss-sharing.

Abstract

However, if the inner state is not calm, doubts and anxiety may arise and actions that are not wise will arise because they are influenced by desires.

Abstract

This study discusses the traditions that are popular among the Tabligh Jamaah, focusing on three traditions; namely, the hadith about shaving the mustache and maintaining the beard, the hadith about wearing a white robe, and the hadith about using siwak. This research is a literature research, using a historical-contextual approach. The results of this study conclude that the traditions studied using the historical-contextual approach produce a new understanding that tends to be contradictory compared to the textual reading. The historical-contextual approach is able to present a more complex reading of the hadith, opening up the potential of Muslims to innovate with something more useful, as well as emphasizing the dividing line to distinguish between Islamic doctrine and the culture of Arab society which is the background of the decline and development of Islam.
