Abstract

This paper discusses the effect of the direct instruction learning model on student learning outcomes on theme 3 Healthy Food at class V of SD Negeri 173418 Pollung in the academic year 2023/2024. The research method used was an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The research sample involved 30 students. Data collection tools used to determine student learning outcomes were question instruments and questionnaires, which were tested for validation and reliability. The average value of learning outcomes obtained during the pretest was 46,4. After that, students were given treatment using the direct instruction learning model. It, in addition, indicated an average score on the post-test with a score of 86. It can be seen that the pre-test and post-test learning outcomes have increased. The data analysis used comes from the normality test. It is known that the results obtained are Lcount 0.200 ≥ Ltable 0.161, which can be said to be normally distributed. Of the correlation coefficient test, the results indicate rcount 0.811 ≥ rtable 0.361 with the interpretation of the r value obtained in the range 0,800 – 1,000. It can be said that there is a very high relationship between the effect of the direct instruction learning model and the learning outcomes of students in class V. Based on the hypothesis test statistical results obtained with tcount 7.333 ≥ ttable 2.048 or significant value 0.000 ≤ 0.05. So, Ha is rejected, which means that there is an effect of the direct instruction learning model on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Citizenship is an issue that will remain as long as there is an institution called the state. Therefore, citizenship problems will always exist as long as the concept of the state still exists. Citizenship Education (PKn) is one way to overcome or reduce citizenship problems. So, junior high schools (SMP) make citizenship a mandatory curriculum content. This research aims to analyze current Civics and future Civics using SWOT analysis. For this reason, a qualitative approach was used with the literature review method. As a result, 23 studies based on the criteria were selected as data sources. Several themes emerge regarding Civics currently, namely 1) citizenship education in a Merdeka curriculum, 2) problems of citizenship education, and 3) solutions to problems of citizenship education. Meanwhile, the subject of citizenship education will be discussed in the future. However, although it has advantages and opportunities, it still has shortcomings and challenges ranging from less interesting learning, lack of teacher competence, current developments, radicalism, even misinformation (hoaxes), shortcomings, opportunities, and challenges in teaching citizenship to middle school students. Therefore, there is a need for tactical strategies to optimize opportunities and reduce obstacles and challenges for civics at the junior high school level.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 40 Negeri Katon Pesaaran. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of integrative learning on increasing the understanding of science concepts of Class V Students of Elementary School Negeri 40 Negeri Katon. The research method used in this research is Quasi Experiment can be interpreted as research that is close to experiments or pseudo experiments. This research design uses a "non-equivalent control-group design", then the two groups are both given a pre-test and post-test, but only the experimental group is given treatment in this study taken using Purposive Sampling technique. Data collection techniques using concept understanding tests, observation and documentation with data analysis using simple linear regression tests the results showed that r count 0 with N = 20 for α = 0.05 obtained r table 0.444; so that r count> r table (0>0.444). Then R square = the magnitude of the termination coefficient (carrying capacity) of the independent variable (Integrative Learning model) in predicting the magnitude of the dependent variable (understanding of the science concept of students) of 0. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of Integrative Learning on increasing the understanding of science concepts of Class V Students of State Elementary School 40 Negeri Katon in the 2023/2024 school year.

Abstract

The study presents the use of interactive digital books that are focused on project-based learning to boost the motivation of students to learn. One of the required subjects for students enrolled in the English education study program at the Catholic University of Saint Thomas Medan is teaching English as a foreign language. The following issues were discovered during observations conducted in the class of 2020 students enrolled in the English Education Study Program at the Catholic University of Saint Thomas Medan. Students are completing courses on teaching English as a foreign language. Low student motivation for learning is demonstrated by the student's inability to comprehend the lecturer's explanations of the material. Their laziness comes from studying and reluctance to read the material they have acquired. And their boredom comes from listening to the lecturer explain the material. Using digital books is one strategy professors can employ to boost student motivation for learning. Students are required to have the motivation or drive to complete learning activities in higher education in order to meet their desired learning objectives, thanks to the digital book. Descriptive qualitative research is what this study was. A questionnaire was used as the data collection method, and 32 students responded to it. The usage of interactive digital books based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) has been shown to boost student learning motivation, according to the study's findings. 96.37% of the results are extremely high.
