Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the extent to which the use of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model combined with concrete media influences the learning interest and mathematical problem-solving abilities of seventh-grade students at SMPN 3 Kopang. The research was motivated by the low level of learning interest and the suboptimal problem-solving skills of students in algebra, as identified through initial observations and learning-interest questionnaires. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design in the form of a Pretest–Posttest Control Group Design, with the sample selected through purposive sampling, resulting in class VIID as the experimental group and class VIIB as the control group, each consisting of 25 students. The instruments used included a learning-interest questionnaire and a problem-solving test. The findings indicate that the implementation of PJBL supported by concrete media had a significant effect on increasing students’ learning interest, as shown by the rise in the experimental class’s average score from 56.9 to 95.3, while the control class decreased from 57.95 to 55.1, with a Sig. value of 0.000 < 0.05 based on the independent sample t-test. In addition, the model also had a significant impact on students’ problem-solving abilities, evidenced by an increase in the experimental class’s average score from 14.2 to 79.2, whereas the control class remained at 11.4, with a Sig. value of 0.000 < 0.05 on the Mann–Whitney U test. Overall, the application of PJBL accompanied by concrete media proved effective in enhancing students’ learning interest and mathematical problem-solving skills.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the misconceptions of fifth-grade students at SDN Beskalan, Surakarta regarding their understanding of the Earth's layered structure and natural landforms in the science subject. Ideally, each learning activity should provide concrete concepts, as students’ initial preconceptions can influence their understanding of subsequent material. The data collection method used a four-tier test, with the sampling technique employing saturated sampling, meaning all fifth-grade students at SDN Beskalan, Surakarta were included. The collected data were analyzed descriptively using quantitative methods. The results demonstrated that primary-level students misconceptions can be concluded as “moderate” of 55% from a total of 33 students. The most prevalent misconception occurred in the indicator related to identifying the structure of the Earth’s layers and the characteristics of various types of natural landforms, with a misconception rate of 64%, which falls into the high category. The lowest misconception, at 37%, appears in the indicator of identifying the Earth’s outer layers and the atmosphere. This shows that a significant number of primary education students continue to display misconceptions regarding the structure of the Earth’s layers and the characteristics of various natural landforms. The factors causing these misconceptions include incorrect preconceptions, low learning interest, inappropriate reasoning, and the use of scientific terms that lead to students’ misunderstandings. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perubahan paradigma pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di MAN 1 Kota Serang seiring penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka yang menekankan pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi dan integrasi ranah afektif, kognitif, dan psikomotorik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis secara mendalam bagaimana integrasi ketiga ranah tersebut dirumuskan dan diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Arab Fase F berdasarkan Capaian Pembelajaran (CP) dalam SK Dirjen Pendis Nomor 3302 Tahun 2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi dokumen dan analisis deskriptif terhadap CP, tujuan pembelajaran, serta keterkaitannya dengan materi unsur bahasa dan keterampilan berbahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kurikulum Merdeka di MAN 1 Kota Serang telah mengarahkan pembelajaran Bahasa Arab secara holistik, di mana ranah kognitif tercermin dalam penguasaan dan analisis struktur kebahasaan, ranah afektif terintegrasi melalui internalisasi nilai religius dan sikap apresiatif terhadap bahasa Arab, serta ranah psikomotorik diwujudkan melalui praktik komunikatif lisan dan tulisan yang kontekstual. Temuan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi ketiga ranah tersebut menjadikan pembelajaran Bahasa Arab lebih bermakna, aplikatif, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan abad ke-21. Implikasi penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis dan praktis bagi guru dan pengembang kurikulum dalam merancang pembelajaran Bahasa Arab yang seimbang, komunikatif, dan berorientasi pada pembentukan kompetensi peserta didik secara utuh.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation effectiveness of the Talaqqi and Tasmi’ Methods within the Tahfiz Extracurricular Program in improving Al-Qur'an reading ability at SD Muhammadiyah Brosot. This Tahfiz program is a school best practice designed as an innovative solution to address the gap between the ideal vision (producing a Qur'ani Generation) and the practical limitation of time allocated for religious education within the general curriculum. The research employs a qualitative case study methodology, focusing on the descriptive analysis of the program’s structured implementation and the documented student achievement. The implementation involves a phased approach, utilizing the combination of talqin (Talaqqi), takrir (repetition), and sima’i (Tasmi’). The results indicate that the method synergy effectively enhances students' Al-Qur'an reading ability, a finding validated by the achievement of Juara 1 Musabaqah Tartil Quran (MTQ) at both the Kapanewon Galur and Kabupaten Kulon Progo levels. The program’s success is critically mediated by highly qualified Tahfiz instructors who possess mutqin hafalan and deep Tajwid mastery , ensuring accurate reading input. It is concluded that this holistic Tahfiz Extracurricular model is a successful practice for achieving a balance between students' spiritual and academic potential.

Abstract

Perilaku insecure terhadap body shape merupakan masalah umum di kalangan remaja jenjang Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA), dipengaruhi oleh tekanan sosial, media massa dan perubahan pubertas yang dapat berdampak pada kesehatan mental seperti kecemasan dan depresi.. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) menawarkan pendekatan efektif untuk mengatasi hal ini melalui teknik seperti cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, exposure therapy, dan mindfulness. Kajian ini mengkaji implementasi teknik CBT dalam konteks SMA, termasuk penilaian awal, sesi terapi, integrasi kurikulum, dan dukungan lingkungan. CBT terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi gejala body dissatisfaction, meningkatkan self-esteem, dan mencegah perilaku maladaptif, dengan efektivitas jangka panjang yang signifikan. Implementasi melibatkan kolaborasi sekolah, psikolog, dan keluarga, disesuaikan dengan budaya lokal. Kesimpulan menunjukkan CBT sebagai intervensi efisien dan terbukti, mendorong adopsi dalam program kesehatan sekolah untuk mendukung kesejahteraan remaja.

Abstract

Ma’arif Nurul Jannah State Elementary School has implemented the Al-Qur’an memorization program, which was established since the school was faunded in 2014. This study aims to describe and analyze how the implementation of management in the Al-Qur’an memorization program improves the quality of memorization at Ma’arif Nurul Jannah Elementary School, Janten. This study employed a qualitative researgh method with a phenomenological approach. Researchers observed the phenomena occurring at Ma’arif Nurul Jannah Elementary School, Temon, Kulon Progo through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data collection techniques included data reduction, data presentation and data verification to ensure data validity. Through and studies conducted by researchers, it was found that the implementation of management in the Tahfidz Al-Qur’an program at SD Ma’arif Nurul Jannah Janten was carried out though several management programs and several methods. The program is implemented by determining goals, targets, grouping of teachers and students as well as evaluation carried out by means of exams indicating results. As for the quality of students’ memorization with fluency, the suitability of tajwid and makhrah has been able to improve in this case by looking at the results of the final exam. Therefore, Ma’arif Nurul Jannah Janten Elementary School implements a comprehensive tahfidz management system so that the memorization process is balanced and produces results but also understands and practices the Qur’an.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembentukan karakter disiplin siswa melalui sinergi antara guru dan budaya sekolah di MI Muhammadiyah Tahfidzul Qur’an. Pendidikan karakter disiplin menjadi aspek penting dalam membentuk tanggung jawab, kemandirian, dan etos kerja siswa sejak dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian kepala sekolah dan dua guru kelas yang dipilih secara purposive karena berperan langsung dalam pembentukan karakter siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian di analisis dengan model Cresswell yang meliputi pengorganisasian data, pembacaan keseluruhan, pengkodean, pengembangan tema, dan penafsiran makna temuan. Hasil penelitain menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan karakter disiplin dilakukan melalui tiga strategi utama, yaitu (1) Pembiasaan ibadah dan hafalan, (2) Pembiasaan adab, serta (3) Pemantauan perilaku melalui buku mutabaah yaumiyah. Ketiga strategi tersebut saling melengkapi dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran disiplin siswa secara internal. Guru berperan sebagai teladan dalam menanamkan nilai disiplin melalui sikap dan perilaku sehari-hari, sedangkan budaya sekolah yang religious mendukung terciptanya lingkungan yang tertib, santun, dan bertanggungjawab. Selain itu, pemberian penghargaan sederhana seperti pujian, stiker, dan pamphlet Student of The Week terbukti efektif meningkatkan motivasi siswa utnuk mempertahankan perilaku disiplin. Dengan demikian, sinergi antara guru dan budaya sekolah menjadi faktor kunci keberhasilan pembentukan karakter disiplin. Nilai disiplin tidak hanya tertanam melalui aturan, tetapi melalui keteladanan, pembiasaan positif, dan budaya sekolah yang konsisten.

Abstract

Low student motivation in learning photosynthesis material is influenced by the lack of innovation in instructional media. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a dioramabased learning media supported by QR code cards that present learning materials through engaging illustrations during the learning process. This study aims to develop QR code-assisted diorama media and to enhance students’ learning motivation. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The results showed that the QR code-assisted diorama media was deemed "highly feasible," with an average validation score of 99% from three expert validators. Furthermore, the media was considered "highly effective," with the student motivation questionnaire scoring 87%. It can be concluded that the QR code-assisted diorama media is effective as an IPAS learning tool to improve the learning motivation of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Cakung Timur 05 Pagi.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop the MiniPiano web application as an interactive learning medium to introduce the concept of musical scales to children aged 6–11 years. The background of this study stems from the low interest and understanding of children in basic music theory due to learning methods that are still predominantly conventional, verbal, and lack visual and audio stimulation. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The application was developed through a prototype design process using Figma and code implementation using Visual Studio Code with the integration of multimedia elements in the form of text, images, animations, and audio. The results of the study show that MiniPiano has excellent feasibility based on the assessments of media and material experts, as well as generating positive responses from limited trials with children. This application has been proven to help children understand basic note sequences, increase their interest in learning music, and create an enjoyable learning experience. This study confirms that the use of web-based media and interactive multimedia has the potential to enrich basic music learning and can be an alternative solution in music education for elementary school children.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the integration of dialogic learning and immersive learning within a Project Based Learning (PjBL) framework, using illustrated Jataka stories from the Borobudur Temple reliefs, can improve creativity, literacy skills, and understanding of moral values ​​​​of elementary school students. The background of this study lies in the low level of higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) among Indonesian students and the need for a contextual and adaptive learning approach to the challenges of the 21st century. Jataka reliefs were chosen as a learning resource rich in moral values ​​​​and narrative visuals, so that they are relevant to the characteristics of students at the concrete operational stage. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design involving Phase B students at Kanisius Wanurejo Borobudur Elementary School. Data collection techniques included participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and student reflection journals. Data analysis followed the Miles & Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the integration of dialogic learning, immersive learning, and PjBL provides students with opportunities to think critically, express ideas, collaborate, and develop deeper moral understanding. The use of illustrated stories has been shown to be effective in enhancing imagination, improving literacy skills, and connecting concepts to real-life experiences. These findings confirm that local culture-based learning through the Jataka narrative project is an innovative and effective approach to fostering creativity, literacy, and character development in elementary school students.
