Abstract

The development of social media has transformed the ways in which young generations form and use language in digital spaces. Platform X represents one example of this dynamic, as it demonstrates diserve, creative, and context-sensitive language practices. This study aims to describe the forms of slang language variations used by Gen Z on platform X and to explain the factors that encourage the emergence of these slang variations as trends from digital sosiolinguistic perspective. The research employes as a descriptive qualitative method with a netnographic approach. The data sources consist of post and interactions by Gen Z users on platform X that contain slang expression. Data collections techniques include social media observation and documentation. The findings reveal that slang language variations used by Gen Z on platform X involve the creation of new terms. The variations are influenced by several factors, including social identity, linguistic creativity, and the distinctive characteristics of digital communication. The findings indicate that slang language on platform X functions not only as a communication tool but also as a means expressing identity and reinforcing social membership among Gen Z.

Abstract

The problem in this study was the low level of understanding of Grade IV studentsat SDN 11 Metro Pusat regarding the material on the implementation of Pancasilavalues. This study aimed to analyze the effect of using comic media on students’understanding of the material on the implementation of Pancasila values. Themethod used in this research was a quasi-experimental design in the form of anonequivalent control group design. The population was determined using apurposive sampling technique consisting of 69 students, while the samplecomprised 46 students. Data were collected through test and non-test techniques inthe form of observation sheets. Hypothesis testing used simple linear regressionwith the results of Fcount> Ftabel, namely (32.840 > 4.32) and a significance valueof 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of comic media had asignificant effect on students’ understanding of the material on the implementationof Pancasila values among Grade IV students at SDN 11 Metro Pusat.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in the science subject of energy changes in grade V of SDN 1 Beureunuen are influenced by the use of less than optimal learning media and limited laboratory facilities. PhET Simulation media is seen as an alternative learning because it is able to visualize abstract concepts and replace the limitations of practical activities. This study aims to determine the effect of using PhETSimulation media on student learning outcomes in energy changes. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a Non-Equivalent Control Group design. The research sample consists of class VA as the experimental class and class VC as the control class with a total of 36 students. Data collection was carried out through multiple choice tests. Data analysis includes calculating N-Gain as well as normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using Mann-Whitney U. The results showed that the average N-Gain of the experimental class was higher than the control class. The hypothesis test produced a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, so H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. Thus, the use of PhET simulation media significantly impacted student learning outcomes in the topic of energy transformation.

Abstract

Therapeutic communication is an essential competency in nursing practice because it serves as a professional medium to build a trusting relationship between nurses and patients. Effective communication does not solely convey clinical information, but also acts as a psychosocial intervention that affects the patient's emotional state, attitude, and involvement in the treatment process. This article aims to examine the concept of therapeutic communication, identify its constituent elements, and explain its application in nursing practice. The method used is a literature study by studying relevant textbooks and journal articles. The results of the study show that therapeutic communication consists of elements of communicators, communicators, messages, media, effects, feedback, environment, and disturbances. The optimization of these elements has been proven to contribute to increasing patient satisfaction, reducing anxiety, and strengthening the quality of holistic and human-value-oriented nursing care.

Abstract

Early reading literacy skills are a crucial foundation for children's academic development. Teachers play a strategic role in designing and implementing learning strategies that are appropriate to the characteristics of children aged 5–6 years. This study aims to describe school support for teachers, teachers’ efforts in teaching early reading literacy skills, and challenges faced by teachers in implementing early reading literacy strategies at TK Muslimat NU 27 Malang. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a single-case study design. The research subjects included the principal and group B teachers. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observations, and documentation. Data analysis followed the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, consisting of data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data trustworthiness was ensured through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The findings indicate that the school has provided support through planning, implementation, mentoring, and evaluation; however, further optimization is required, particularly in teacher training and the use of digital learning media. Teachers applied direct instruction and individualized strategies, but their implementation has not been fully optimal due to limited learning media, differences in children’s abilities, and low literacy support from the home environment. Strengthening teachers’ digital competencies and school–parent collaboration is recommended to enhance early reading literacy development.

Abstract

Social media has now become a part of the daily lives of elementary school students, including students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). The presence of social media has a significant influence on children's social interaction patterns, both in terms of how to communicate, build friendships, and in the formation of social character. This study aims to examine the influence of social media on the social interaction patterns of students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) by using a literature review from relevant studies in Indonesia in the last five years. The results of the study show that social media has a positive impact in the form of improving digital skills, expanding friendship networks, and facilitating communication between students, teachers, and parents. However, social media also has a negative impact, such as a decrease in the intensity of face-to-face communication, the emergence of individualism tendencies, and the potential for digital addiction. Thus, it is necessary to assist parents and teachers in the use of social media so that the benefits are more dominant than the negative impacts.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low communication skills of fourth-grade students at SDIT Asy-Syifa Al-Inayah 6 in Jambi City. This study aims to improve communication skills using the think-pair-share cooperative learning method in Indonesian language learning. The theory used in this study is about the importance of communication skills in facilitating the learning process as proposed by (Tarigan et al., 2023) and the think-pair-share cooperative learning model proposed by (Prasetyawati, 2021). This research is a classroom action research. The subjects of this research are all 19 students of class IV B of SDIT Asy-Syifa Al-Inayah 6 Kota Jambi. This research was conducted in 2 cycles, which included the Planning, Implementation, Observation, and Reflection stages. The research instruments used were teacher observation sheets, student observation sheets, and student communication skills cycle tests. Based on the observation results, it can be seen that the average percentage of teacher activity in cycle I was 73%, increasing to 84% in cycle II. In the student activity observation sheet, the average percentage in cycle I was 67%, increasing to 82% in cycle II. The results of the student communication skills test in cycle I were 63% with an average of 69, increasing in cycle II to 84% with an average of 84. Thus, it can be concluded that there was an increase in communication skills.

This study aims to describe the creativity of the principal in marketing educational services at SMP Negeri 34 Muaro Jambi, to identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and to analyze the efforts undertaken in implementing creative educational marketing strategies. This research was motivated by the increasingly competitive educational environment and the fluctuating number of student enrollments despite the existence of various school programs. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and school staff as research participants. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the principal’s creativity in educational marketing is reflected in the development of flagship programs, the utilization of digital media and social networks, the strengthening of school branding, and the establishment of cooperation with parents and the surrounding community. Supporting factors include the commitment of school stakeholders, adequate facilities, and positive community responses, while inhibiting factors consist of limited human resources, time constraints, and diverse socio-economic backgrounds of the community.
