Abstract

Determining an optimal capital structure is a strategic decision for companies because it is closely related to financial risk, cost of capital, and firm value in the eyes of investors. This study aims to analyze the effect of tax aggressiveness, profitability, and firm size on capital structure in companies listed in the LQ45 Index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2021–2024 period. Capital structure is proxied by the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), tax aggressiveness is proxied by the Effective Tax Rate (ETR), profitability is proxied by Return on Assets (ROA), and firm size is measured using the logarithm of total assets. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data from the annual financial statements of LQ45 companies selected through purposive sampling, and is analyzed using multiple linear regression and classical assumption tests with the aid of SPSS 26 software. The results show that, partially, profitability and firm size have a significant effect on capital structure, while tax aggressiveness does not have a significant effect. Tax aggressiveness, profitability, and firm size simultaneously have a significant effect on capital structure, indicating that these variables are able to explain the variation in capital structure of LQ45 companies during the study period. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for management, investors, and academics in evaluating financing policies and their implications for corporate financial stability and performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in developing websites using WordPress and to analyze its impact on students’ learning outcomes in the Informatics subject for Grade X AKL 2 at SMK Negeri 1 Kupang. The background of this research is the low initial understanding of students regarding website development, as indicated by their limited ability to operate WordPress prior to the intervention. The PjBL model was selected as an appropriate solution because it provides opportunities for students to engage actively in real project activities, from planning and creation to publishing their websites. This research employed a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The participants consisted of 35 students who were involved in a series of instructional activities, including the introduction to CMS, creating WordPress accounts, selecting themes, developing pages, creating content, conducting website trials, and presenting the final project. The instruments used in this study were learning achievement tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests to identify differences in students’ learning outcomes before and after the implementation of PjBL. The results indicate a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes after applying the PjBL model. Furthermore, the questionnaire revealed an average percentage of 87.55%, showing that students responded very positively to the implementation of PjBL in website development using WordPress. Therefore, the PjBL model is proven to be effective in enhancing students’ understanding, motivation, collaboration, and digital skills in Informatics learning.

Abstract

The low reading literacy skills and weak empathy of elementary school students remain issues that require attention, despite the implementation of various literacy and character strengthening policies. This study aims to develop a digital storybook based on empathy values ​​to improve elementary school students' reading literacy and to describe its feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness as a learning medium. The study used a research and development method with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects were 30 fourth-grade students of Begeg Public Elementary School, Sukabumi City, and the class teacher as the media user. Data were collected through validation sheets from material experts, media experts, and language experts; reading literacy tests; and teacher and student response questionnaires. The validation results showed that the digital storybook was in the very feasible category with an average score of 90% for material experts, 87.5% for media experts, and 88.75% for language experts. Teacher and student responses indicated a very practical category with an average score of 3.70 for teachers and 3.50 for students on a 4-point Likert scale. The results of the effectiveness test showed an increase in the average reading literacy score from 62.00 (pretest) to 82.00 (posttest) in 30 students, with an average N-gain value of 0.53 (moderate category), as well as a significant difference based on the t-test. Thus, the digital storybook based on empathy values ​​is declared feasible, practical, and effective to be used as a learning medium to improve reading literacy while instilling empathy values ​​in elementary school students.

Abstract

The development of the 21st century is increasingly complex both in the fields of knowledge, technology and information globally, basically aimed at improving the quality of life of society. This type of research is a quasi-experimental (Quasi Experiment). This study aims to determine how the scientific literacy skills of high school students in classes taught using problem-based learning models and classes taught with direct instruction models, as well as to determine the effect of problem-based learning models on the scientific literacy skills of high school students. The design of this study is a pretest - posttest control group design. The population of this study were students of class XII MIPA SMAN 2 Makassar. The research sample was Class XII MIPA 2 and XII MIPA 4. The research instrument in this study was a scientific literacy ability test in the form of multiple-choice questions totaling 14 numbers. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, including normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using analysis of covariance. The results of the scientific literacy analysis showed that students who implemented the problem-based learning model performed better than those who implemented the direct instruction model. This was evidenced by the average pretest scientific literacy score of 65.61 for the experimental class, which falls into the moderate category, and the control class, which falls into the low category (61.96). The posttest score of 87.23 for the experimental class, which falls into the very high category, and 71.48 for the control class, which falls into the moderate category. This suggests that problem-based learning has an impact on students' scientific literacy skills.

Abstract

Abstract-This study analyzes the literature on the Implementation of Moderation in Varios Differences in Islamic Organizations by offering an innovative persuasive approach to religious moderation to increase the sense of Moderation in living life.The reseach uses the Systematic Literatur Review approach with the she stages of determining the theme sarching,selecting literature, analyzing and interpreting, drafting preparation, and dissemination of result. The research conducted used 15 articles from a selection of 30 studies on four things, namely, implementation, challenges, innovation, and evaluation. Although various Islamic organizations, such as Nahdatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah, play an important role in promoting religious moderation through education, interreligious dialogue, and social activities, there is still a narrative of Extremism. Asystematic evaluation of these programs is aalso important to measure their effectiveness and impact on social harmony, so that it is hoped that it can create a more harmonious and respectful society in the midst of diversity.

Abstract

Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) is a pedagogical approach that focuses on adjusting instructional practices to learners’ actual levels of competence in order to accommodate variations in students’ learning abilities. In Civic Education (PPKn), instructional difficulties frequently occur due to differences in students’ levels of comprehension, civic engagement, and participatory skills. This study seeks to conceptually examine the relevance and potential application of Teaching at the Right Level as a learning strategy within PPKn instruction. The research adopts a library-based approach by analyzing books, national and international scholarly articles, as well as policy documents related to TaRL and PPKn learning. Data analysis was conducted through content analysis to explore essential concepts, core principles, and the implications of implementing TaRL in PPKn learning contexts. The results suggest that Teaching at the Right Level is compatible with the fundamental characteristics of PPKn learning, particularly in fostering student-centered instruction, educational equity, and differentiated learning practices. From a conceptual perspective, TaRL demonstrates strong potential to enhance civic understanding, learner participation, and character development when utilized as a strategy in PPKn education. This study offers a theoretical contribution by proposing a conceptual basis for integrating Teaching at the Right Level into PPKn learning practices.

Abstract

The development of gross motor skills in early childhood needs to be stimulated through enjoyable and well-directed learning activities. However, preliminary observations at TK IT Bintang Raya Cicalengka indicated that some children still experience difficulties in basic motor movements such as jumping, maintaining balance, and coordinating body movements. This study aims to describe the management of learning based on educational games in improving early childhood gross motor skills through the PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) cycle approach. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. This study is grounded in theories of early childhood motor development and the concept of continuous improvement through the PDCA cycle in learning management. The results show that the implementation of educational games such as line jumping, ball throwing and catching, walking on balance boards, and simple obstacle games can enhance muscle strength, balance, coordination, and agility in children. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that educational game-based learning management using the PDCA approach is effective in improving gross motor skills of early childhood students at TK IT Bintang Raya Cicalengka.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe in depth how employee competence and work ethic influence service quality at the Office of Religious Affairs (Kantor Urusan Agama/KUA) of Kempas District. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research involved the Head of the KUA, implementing staff members, and service users as key informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings indicate that KUA Kempas faces complex service dynamics, characterized by fluctuations in marriage cases in the post-pandemic period and high demands for out-of-office services. The findings indicate, that employee competence (technical and interpersonal knowledge) and employee work ethic (discipline and commitment) are proven to have a positive and significant effect, both partially and simultaneously, on improving service quality, particularly in the aspects of Reliability and Responsiveness. The main conclusion emphasizes that excellent service quality at the KUA emerges from a harmonious synergy between adequate technical capability (competence) and a professional willingness to work (work ethic). Therefore, it is recommended that the KUA prioritize technical training and the strengthening of work morale to ensure adaptive services and public satisfaction.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low social studies learning outcomes of Pamekasan Elementary School students which only achieved 46.8% completeness, as well as the use of audio-visual media, reading interests, and learning motivation that still vary in the low to medium category. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of audio-visual media, reading interest, and learning motivation on social studies learning outcomes both simultaneously and partially. This study uses a quantitative approach with ex post facto methods and correlational techniques. The research population is all grade V students of SDN Cluster V, Pasean District, Pamekasan Regency which totals 62 students. The sampling technique uses total sampling. Data collection was carried out through a closed-ended questionnaire on the Likert scale to measure independent variables and documentation of social studies formative assessment scores to measure learning outcomes. Data analysis used multiple linear regression. The results of the study prove that audio-visual media, reading interest, and learning motivation simultaneously have a significant effect on social studies learning outcomes with an F value of 37.570 (sig. 0.000). The contribution of the three independent variables reached 66% to learning outcomes. Partially, learning motivation was the most dominant variable with a beta coefficient of 0.638, followed by audio-visual media of 0.377, and reading interest of 0.316. This study concludes that improving social studies learning outcomes requires integrated reinforcement on all three variables, with the main priority on student learning motivation.

Abstract

Islamic Cultural History (SKI) education plays an important role in shaping students' historical understanding, Islamic values, and character. However, SKI education still faces various problems, such as monotonous teaching methods, limited learning media, low student interest and motivation, and difficulty in understanding chronological and conceptual material. With the development of technology, the use of digital platforms has become one of the innovative solutions to improve the quality of SKI learning. This study aims to examine innovations in SKI learning through the use of digital platforms and analyze the benefits and challenges in the learning process. The research method used is library research, by reviewing various sources such as books, scientific journals, and relevant literature related to SKI learning and educational technology. The results of the study show that the use of digital platforms such as audio-visual media, social media, e-learning, educational games, and artificial intelligence-based technology can increase students' interest, motivation, and understanding of SKI material. Learning becomes more interactive, contextual, and encourages active student participation. In addition, digital platforms also help teachers deliver material more effectively and efficiently. Thus, digital platform-based SKI learning innovation can be a strategic alternative in responding to the challenges of SKI learning in the digital era, while supporting the achievement of Islamic education goals oriented towards character building and digital literacy of students.
