Abstract

The implementation of Merdeka Belajar emphasizes learning freedom that respects students’ diverse characteristics, which cannot be achieved without the active role of teachers. However, in practice, teachers still face challenges in accommodating students’ varied readiness, interests, and learning profiles. This study aims to explore the role of teachers in realizing Merdeka Belajar through differentiated instruction at SDN Tugu 10 Depok. The research employed a qualitative approach using a phenomenological study design. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that teachers play a significant role as planners, facilitators, motivators, and evaluators in implementing differentiated instruction. Teachers conduct diagnostic assessments, design learning activities based on students’ needs, implement differentiation in content, process, and product, and carry out continuous assessment. The implementation of differentiated learning creates an engaging learning environment, increases student participation, and supports students’ independence in learning. Differentiated learning is an effective strategy to realize Merdeka Belajar when supported by teachers’ pedagogical competence, reflective practices, and flexibility in learning design.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education for 5th students at SDN 26 Pampangan Lubuk Begalung, Padang City, through the implementation of the SQ3R method (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review). The background of this study is based on the fact that 63.64% of students had not yet achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria set by the school, which is 80. The learning process was still dominated by the lecture method, causing students to be less active and easily bored. This research employed Classroom Action Research conducted in several cycles involving 22 students as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. The results show that the implementation of the SQ3R method can increase students’ learning participation and significantly improve their learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education. Therefore, the SQ3R method is effective as an alternative learning strategy to improve Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes in elementary schools.

Abstract

Collaborative skills are important skills that elementary school students need to have because they play a significant role in supporting learning success, especially in group activities that require communication, cooperation, and joint problem solving. In reality, students' collaborative skills are still not optimally developed. This study aims to develop a PBL-based Pancasila Education teaching module that can improve the collaboration skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. The method used is Research and Development with the ADDIE development model. The development process begins with a needs analysis, followed by the design and development of teaching modules, implementation in learning activities, and evaluation to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the product. The results of the study indicate that the PBL-based Pancasila Education teaching module developed is able to encourage students to actively collaborate. This teaching module is effective for use as teaching material and has the potential to improve the collaboration skills of fifth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the presence and extent of improvement in mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students through the cooperative learning model of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) integrated with the drill method and deep learning approach. The deep learning approach is applied to encourage higher-order cognitive processes through groupdiscussions and repeated exercises. The research design used is a pre-experimental one-grouppretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 35 students (30 regular students and 5 inclusive students). The data analysis techniques employed were tests of normality and homogeneity. For inclusive students, the normality and homogeneity tests for pretest and posttest were satisfied, and the paired sample test indicated improvement. For regular students, the normality tests for pretest and posttest showed non-normal variance but homogeneity. Due to non-normal data, the Wilcoxontest was used, which showed an increase in student learning outcomes. The cooperative learningmodel of NHT with drill method and deep learning approach is effective in significantly improving mathematics learning outcomes for both regular and inclusive students at SD Negeri Palsatu, Kota Kupang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on the creative writing skills of eighth-grade students at SMP Cendramata Medan. The research focused on Indonesian language learning, particularly on enhancing students’ creative writing abilities through the application of project-based learning. The method employed was an experimental design with a pretest-posttest format. Data were collected through creative writing tests administered before and after the implementation of the learning model, as well as observations during the learning process.The descriptive analysis revealed that the students’ average pre-test score was 45.00 with a standard deviation of 20.33 and a standard error of 5.871. After the application of the project-based learning model, the average post-test score increased significantly to 78.75 with a standard deviation of 6.784 and a standard error of 1.958 from a total of 12 respondents. This increase of more than 70% indicates that the project-based learning model effectively enhanced students’ creative writing skills. In addition to the improvement in scores, students became more active, engaged in creative thinking, and showed greater interest in producing written work.Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Project-Based Learning model has a significant impact on students’ creative writing skills. The model not only improves the quality of students’ written products but also encourages independence, creativity, and responsibility throughout the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to develop ethnomathematics-based teaching materials incorporating Jambi batik motifs using Canva for the topic of reflection symmetry and rotational symmetry in third-grade elementary school and to determine their validity and practicality. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research subjects were a third-grade teacher and students. Data were collected through validation questionnaires completed by material experts, media experts, and language experts, as well as response questionnaires from teachers and students to assess the practicality of the product. The validation results showed percentages of 96% from the material expert, 96% from the media expert, and 88% from the language expert, all categorized as very valid. The practicality test results indicated 96% from the teacher’s response, 90% in the small group trial, and 92.2% in the large group trial, all categorized as very practical. Based on these findings, the developed teaching materials are considered very valid and very practical, making them suitable for use as contextual teaching materials in elementary mathematics learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model PBL dengan pendekatan pembelajaran mendalam yang dibantu media Matematika Seblak Buffet terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa kelas empat di SDN Mranak 1. Penelitian ini dimotivasi oleh rendahnya tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, yang tercermin dalam keterbatasan kemampuan mereka untuk menganalisis masalah, mengevaluasi proses penyelesaian, dan merumuskan solusi secara mandiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pretest-posttest satu kelompok yang melibatkan 23 siswa sebagai subjek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika yang dikembangkan berdasarkan Taksonomi Bloom yang direvisi pada ranah kognitif tingkat tinggi, yaitu menganalisis (C4), mengevaluasi (C5), dan menciptakan (C6). Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas dan Uji t Sampel Berpasangan untuk menentukan signifikansi pengaruh perlakuan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata skor kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa dari 59,2 pada pretest menjadi 70,3 pada posttest. Selanjutnya, Uji t Sampel Berpasangan menunjukkan Sig. Nilai (2-tailed) 0,001 < 0,05 menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan secara statistik. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model PBL dengan pendekatan pembelajaran mendalam yang dibantu media Matematika Seblak Buffet berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa kelas empat di SDN Mranak 1. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran ini dapat menjadi strategi alternatif dalam matematika sekolah dasar untuk mengoptimalkan kemampuan analitis dan pemecahan masalah siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on snakes and ladders media on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students in PPKn. The research problem arises from the low learning outcomes of students caused by a teacher-centered learning process, the lack of variety in the use of models and learning media, and the low active involvement of students. The research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design thru a non-equivalent control group design. The research population consisted of 47 students using purposive sampling techniques, including class IV A as the control class (25 students) and class IV B as the experimental class (22 students). Data were collected thru learning outcome tests and observation sheets, then analyzed using simple linear regression tests. The research results show that the application of the Problem Based Learning model based on the snakes and ladders media significantly affects the improvement of students' PPKn learning outcomes. These findings contribute to the development of PPKn learning in elementary schools thru the utilization of problem-based learning models combined with educational game media to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach to examine the forms of expressive speech acts that appear in conversations within Denny Sumargo’s YouTube podcast videos. The research applies the listening method with a note-taking technique, which involves observing the spoken utterances delivered by the host and the guest, then recording data relevant to the research objectives. The data source consists of spoken utterances that are transcribed verbatim from the interactive dialogues between the host and the guest in the podcast videos. Data analysis is conducted using the interactive analysis model proposed by Miles and Huberman, which comprises three main stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. During the data reduction stage, the researcher selects and simplifies utterances that contain expressive speech acts. Subsequently, the data are presented in the form of descriptive narratives and matrices to facilitate understanding. The final stage involves drawing conclusions based on the patterns and tendencies identified in the data.The results indicate that there are five dominant types of expressive speech acts, namely expressing gratitude, apologizing, blaming, praising, and expressing condolences. Among these types, blaming speech acts are the most dominant. These speech acts are used by the guest to express emotions of disappointment, anger, and dissatisfaction related to personal experiences. The findings demonstrate that the conversations in the podcast are rich in authentic emotional expressions and reflect the psychological condition of the speakers. Theoretically, this study reinforces Searle’s theory of expressive speech acts. In addition, the findings are expected to contribute to the development of pragmatic studies, particularly in the analysis of digital communication content on YouTube, and to serve as learning material for linguistics and mass communication.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of reward on students’ learning motivation in Akidah Akhlak at MAN 2 Kota Palu. Low learning motivation among students has been identified as a challenge that can hinder their academic achievement and engagement in religious education. Therefore, this research aims to determine whether the implementation of reward significantly enhances students’ learning motivation. A quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was employed. The sample consisted of 91 students from three classes. Data were collected using a learning motivation questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The normality of the data was assessed using the Shapiro–Wilk test, and differences between pretest and posttest scores were analyzed using the Paired Samples T-Test. The findings revealed an increase in the mean learning motivation score from 29.4 in the pretest to 34.2 in the posttest. The Paired Samples T-Test indicated a significant difference with t(90) = -14.40, p < 0.001, while the effect size, measured by Cohen’s d = 1.51, demonstrated a very large effect. These results confirm that reward is an effective strategy to improve students’ learning motivation in Akidah Akhlak, suggesting that the integration of reward-based interventions can positively influence students’ engagement and performance in religious education settings.
