Abstract

The purpose of this research is to decrease parenting stress on parents with intellectual disability kids using Mindfulness Based Distress Management. This research employed concurred embedded method (imbalance mixture) between quantitative research and qualitative research, with quantitative as the primary method and qualitative as the secondary method. The subjects in this research were four female parents age 41 – 43 years old, and experienced medium until high parenting stress based on parenting stress scale. Data obtained were analyzed using Wilcoxon signed rank test analysis. The analysis result shows that there is significantly different parenting stress from pretest and post-test (Z=-1,841, with P = 0,03, then p <0,05). Therefore, mindfulness based distress management is effective in decreasing parenting stress on parents with intellectual disability kids. Beside that, qualitative analysis shows that mindfulness therapy based distress management is effective and beneficial to issues acceptance towards the kids’ condition until the subjects become grateful and own motivation in parenting the kids with intellectual disability. This condition makes the subject more accepting and even feel more able to love the child, so that he is enthusiastic in caring for the child properly and full of love.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self-care and coping stress on the risk of burnout in working mothers. The sample in this study was 80 working mothers. This study used a quantitative approach using the correlation method. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out using statistical software through the stages of descriptive analysis, assumption testing, validity and reliability testing, and hypothesis testing. The results of the simultaneous test showed that self-care and coping stress simultaneously had a significant effect on burnout with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. The results of the multiple linear test showed that Self-Care had a significant effect on Burnout in working mothers with a significance value of 0.002 <0.05. The higher the mother's awareness of self-care, the lower the emotional exhaustion felt. Coping stress also had a significant effect on burnout with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. The better the mother's ability to apply coping stress, the more directly it can reduce the source of stress (stressors).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to empirically examine the relationship between social anxiety and interpersonal communication skills in college students. Social anxiety is understood as an excessive fear of negative evaluation in social situations, while interpersonal communication is an individual's ability to convey and receive messages effectively in face-to-face interactions. This study was a quantitative study with a purposive sampling technique. The subjects were 100 college students. Data collection in this study used the social anxiety scale from the SIAS (Social Interaction Anxiety Scale) and interpersonal communication scale which is based on the following aspects: openness, empathy, supportive attitude, positive attitude and equality. Hypothesis testing was conducted using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis technique using AMOS software version 26. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a significant role between interpersonal. communication and social anxiety with a value of β = -0.512 and p = 0.000. This indicates that the higher a student's social anxiety, the lower their interpersonal communication skills. This finding emphasizes the importance of psychological interventions to reduce social anxiety in order to improve the quality of student communication in the academic environment.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to improve locomotor skills of children aged 5–6 years through the use of a gross motor skill playmat at TK Paras Jaya, Palembang. Preliminary observations indicated that most children had not yet developed locomotor skills optimally due to limited outdoor facilities and the lack of varied, structured motor activities. The study involved 10 children in Group B1 and was conducted in January 2026 using the Kemmis and McTaggart action research model consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation checklists, documentation, and informal interviews. The locomotor indicators assessed were walking, running, jumping, tiptoeing, and hopping. Data analysis combined qualitative description and quantitative percentage calculations. The results showed a gradual improvement across cycles. In the pre-cycle stage, classical achievement was 45% (mostly in the category of Not Yet Developed). After Cycle I, children’s performance improved, although several indicators still required intensive guidance. In Cycle II, classical completeness reached 90%, with most children achieving the categories of Developing as Expected and Very Well Developed. The gross motor skill playmat effectively supported children’s balance, coordination, and motor control through structured and enjoyable play. Therefore, the playmat can be recommended as an alternative learning medium to enhance locomotor skills in early childhood.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of PAK teachers’ pedagogical competence on the learning effectiveness of Grade VIII students at SMP Swasta HKBP Sipahutar in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The research hypothesis states that there is a positive and significant effect of PAK teachers’ pedagogical competence on the learning effectiveness of Grade VIII students at SMP Swasta HKBP Sipahutar in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. This study employed a descriptive and inferential quantitative research method. The population consisted of all Grade VIII students at SMP Swasta HKBP Sipahutar in the 2024/2025 Academic Year who are Protestant Christians, totaling 183 students. The research sample was determined randomly (random sampling), amounting to 20% of the total number of students in each class, namely 35 students. The research instrument used was a closed-ended questionnaire. The results of data analysis showed that the value of rcount = 0,595 > rtable = 0,334 and tcount = 4,253 > ttable = 2,03452, indicating a positive and significant relationship between PAK teachers’ pedagogical competence and students’ learning effectiveness. The regression equation was obtained. The coefficient of determination indicated that the magnitude of the influence was 35,40%, while 64,60% was influenced by other factors, namely study time, assignments given by teachers, learning motivation, learning evaluation, family environment, school environment, community environment, learning equipment, and learning facilities. The hypothesis testing showed that Fcount = 17,943 > Ftable = 3,32, therefore H0 (null hypothesis) was rejected and Ha (alternative hypothesis) was accepted. The study concludes that there is a positive and significant effect of PAK teachers’ pedagogical competence on the learning effectiveness of Grade VIII students at SMP Swasta HKBP Sipahutar in the 2025/2026 Academic Year.

Abstract

For education to be meaningful and student centered, primary school curricula should take into account the varied preparation levels, interests, and learning profiles of the pupils. Nevertheless, classroom practice has not fully embraced the Merdeka Curriculum framework's differentiated learning implementation. The purpose of this study was to examine the limitations faced at SD Negeri 1 Banjar Bali, teachers' comprehension and the use of differentiated learning across content, process, product, and learning environment components. A purposive sample of primary school teachers was used in a descriptive qualitative design. Non-participant observation, interviews, and document analysis were used to gather data, which were then analysed utilizing methods for data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that although teachers have a conceptual understanding of differentiated learning, its application is still flexible. While process and learning environment diversification is used more frequently, content and product differentiation is less effective because of time constraints, workloads, learning facilities, and difficulties with classroom management. Therefore, strengthening teachers’ practical capacity, improving infrastructure support, and allocating time for instructional development are necessary to ensure sustainable and optimal implementation of differentiated learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the career choices of elementary school students in the agricultural area of ​​Prambanan District, Sleman Regency, and their relationship with the condition of agricultural land, family origin, and students' views on the farming profession. The method used is a Mixed Method with an Explanatory Sequential model, with quantitative data in the form of a questionnaire regarding students' career choices and secondary data about the area, and qualitative data obtained through interviews with five students. The results obtained show that although Prambanan District has 33.67% of the total agricultural land area, only about 12% of the population works in agriculture, while the background of students' parents' work is mostly from the non-agricultural sector. Students' career choices tend towards digital professions such as TikTokers and YouTuber, while the farming profession ranks lowest. Qualitative findings indicate that students are aware of the important role of the farming profession in meeting food needs, but consider it a difficult job and not in line with their aspirations. Interest in the farming profession arises under certain conditions, particularly when supported by modern agricultural technology. Therefore, improving agricultural-related career literacy from the elementary level is crucial to supporting the sustainability of the food sector in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of digital Nahwu teaching materials based on Mind Mapping using Flipbooks at MAS Paradigma Palembang. The background of the study is the low level of student understanding regarding Arabic grammatical rules, caused by the use of static conventional media and limited learning time. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects consisted of 20 students from Grade XII at MAS Paradigma Palembang using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection instruments included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Material validation results showed a percentage of 93.3% (Very Valid), while media validation obtained a score of 73% (Quite Valid), which was subsequently refined through revisions. Implementation results showed an increase in students' average scores from 25.53 on the pre-test to 50.79 on the post-test. Statistical analysis using the Paired Sample T-Test produced a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), proving a significant influence on student learning outcomes. The average N-Gain value of 0.3354 places the product's effectiveness in the moderate category. The conclusion of this study is that Mind Mapping-based Nahwu teaching materials in Flipbook format are highly feasible and effective for use as enrichment media to enhance students' grammatical understanding independently and interactively.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Cultural Arts and Crafts (SBdP) learning in an effort to enhance the creativity of fourth-grade students at SDIT Persis Tarogong Dua. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques in the form of interviews and questionnaires administered to teachers and students as the main sources of information. The results indicate that SBdP learning has been implemented fairly well and is able to increase students’ learning interest, particularly in practical activities that involve the exploration of ideas and skills. However, several obstacles are still found in its implementation, such as limited supporting learning facilities and a lack of variety in the instructional media used by teachers in the classroom. These conditions have resulted in the uneven and not yet optimal development of students’ creativity. In addition, some students still show a lack of self-confidence when asked to express opinions, ideas, or present their work in front of their peers. Based on these findings, this study recommends increasing the variety of more innovative learning media, providing adequate facilities and infrastructure, and applying more interactive and participatory learning approaches. Regular evaluation of the learning process also needs to be conducted to monitor the continuous development of students’ creativity. Overall, SBdP learning has a positive impact on the development of fourth-grade students’ creativity, although improvements and strengthening in several supporting aspects are still required to achieve more ideal and sustainable outcomes. These improvement efforts are expected to encourage active student involvement, increase confidence in self-expression, and create a fun, creative learning atmosphere that is relevant to the developmental needs of elementary school students in a comprehensive, continuous, and contextual manner within the current formal education environment in Indonesia, particularly at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Road infrastructure is a link between regions in Kurik District. However, due to several factors the road is damaged. The purpose of the study Describe the impact of road infrastructure on social, economic and educational conditions in the Jaya Makmur and Anumbob villages of Kurik District. The type of research is qualitative. Data collection techniques interviews, observations, and questionnaires or a combination of the three are Triangulation. Analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The number of samples is 60 people. The results of the study The impact of road infrastructure on social conditions is that it hinders people from carrying out mobility during important moments such as the fasting month and Eid al-Fitr. However, on the other hand, the community has a very high value of mutual cooperation, namely for the initiative to repair roads independently by filling the road with excavated soil. While the impact of road infrastructure on economic conditions is hampering the distribution of agricultural products considering that most people earn a living as farmers, and the impact of infrastructure in the field of education is affecting the number of teacher and student attendance, as well as affecting the psychological state of students
