Abstract

History learning in school still faces problem such as low student and the limited use learning media, which affect student`s learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of using interactive media based on HTML5 Package (H5P) on student learning outcomes in history learning for class X of SMK Abdurrab Pekanbaru. The study used a quasi-experimental method with a Pre-test–Post-test Non-Equivalent Control Group design. The instrument used was a learning outcome test in the experimental and control classes. The results showed that interactive media based on H5P can be applied well in history learning and has a significant influence on student learning outcomes. This was proven through a t-test with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.026 < 0.05. In addition, the N-Gain value of the experimental class was in the medium–high category (64,26), higher than the control class (53.25). Thus, H5P media was proven to be more effective than conventional media in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students in classes IV A and IV B at SDN Wirowongso 02 in science learning, particularly on the topic of force. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques consisting of written tests and interviews. The written test comprised ten essay questions developed based on Ennis’s critical thinking indicators, while interviews were conducted with classroom teachers as supporting data to gain deeper insight into the implementation of science learning at the school. The results indicate that students’ critical thinking skills in both classes vary across indicators. The indicators of elementary clarification and basic support fall into the moderate category, suggesting that students are generally able to understand problems and provide answers with simple reasoning. However, the indicators of inference, advanced clarification, as well as strategy and tactics remain in the low category. This finding shows that students still experience difficulties in drawing in-depth conclusions, developing advanced explanations, and formulating appropriate problem-solving strategies. These results emphasize the need for more varied, interactive, and context-based science learning practices in elementary schools to enhance students’ critical thinking skills. Furthermore, the role of teachers in creating a supportive learning environment, encouraging active discussion, and fostering students’ learning motivation is crucial for improving the critical thinking skills of students in classes IV A and IV B.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of Quizizz-based fun learning media in improving students’ qirā’ah (Arabic reading) skills at grade VI of MIN 1 PALI. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method, producing a Quizizz-based instructional media product. The research subjects consisted of 24 students divided into an experimental class and a control class, with 12 students in each group. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. Data analysis techniques included normality tests, homogeneity tests, validity tests, independent t-tests, and N-gain analysis. The results revealed a significant difference between the learning outcomes of the experimental and control classes. The average post-test score of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class, indicating that Quizizz-based fun learning media is effective in improving students’ qirā’ah skills. In addition, the implementation of this media increased students’ motivation, enthusiasm, and active participation during the learning process. Therefore, Quizizz-based fun learning media is considered effective and feasible as an alternative instructional medium for Arabic reading instruction at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing the Deep Learning Lesson Plan (Rencana Pembelajaran Mendalam/RPM) in improving students’ understanding of flood disasters caused by human activities. The research employed a quantitative method using a pre-experimental One Group Pretest–Posttest design involving 30 students. The research instruments consisted of 10 multiple-choice questions administered as pretests and posttests. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test with the assistance of SPSS. The results showed that the average pretest score was 4.23, while the posttest score increased to 7.87, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant improvement in students’ understanding after the implementation of RPM. Therefore, the implementation of RPM is effective in enhancing students’ understanding of flood disaster material.

Abstract

  This study aims to examine three aspects: (1) the implementation of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model in Islamic Education (PAI), (2) students’ learning outcomes before the implementation of the CIRC learning model, and (3) the improvement of students’ learning outcomes after the implementation of the CIRC learning model. This study employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects were 19 eighth-grade students at SMP Plus Miftahul Hidayah. Data were collected through observation and learning outcome tests in the form of pretests and posttests. The research instruments were tested for validity and reliability, with 17 items declared valid and a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.842, indicating high reliability. The results showed that the implementation of the CIRC learning model was very effective, as indicated by the observation results of teacher and student activities, which obtained a total score of 80 and were categorized as very good. The average pretest score was 65.00, which increased significantly to 93.16 in the posttest. The normality test results showed significance values of 0.561 for the pretest and 0.412 for the posttest (> 0.05), indicating that the data were normally distributed. The homogeneity test showed a significance value of 0.395 (> 0.05), indicating homogeneous data. The paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest results. Furthermore, the N-Gain value was 0.80 or 80%, which falls into the high category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the CIRC learning model is effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in Islamic Education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of public relations management in increasing community participation at Wajo State Senior High School 12. The phenomenon of low community involvement in supporting school programs is the starting point for this study. Public relations management in schools is considered to have a strategic role in building harmonious communication, strengthening positive images, and opening up opportunities for collaboration between schools and communities. This study aims to comprehensively describe the implementation of public relations management in increasing community participation at State Senior High School 12 Wajo. The research method used was qualitative and descriptive, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document reviews involving the principal, teachers, public relations staff, school committee, and student parent representatives. Data analysis techniques were carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification to obtain a comprehensive picture of the strategies, obstacles, and impacts of the implementation of public relations management in the school. The results of the study show that the implementation of public relations management in this school takes place through a relatively structured managerial cycle, starting from the planning stage, program implementation, to continuous evaluation involving various internal and external actors of the school. In addition, there are several factors that support the implementation of public relations management at SMA Negeri 12 Wajo. The main factors include participatory leadership from the principal, a clear public relations organizational structure, strong social capital within the community, effective internal communication, as well as support from parents and external partnerships. In addition to supporting factors, there are also findings of inhibiting factors. The main obstacle found is the socio-economic conditions of the community around the school, which are still diverse and mostly in the lower-middle category.

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of student conflict in Islamic boarding school–based education, focusing on the role of the madrasah principal in managing such conflicts at MTs Pondok Pesantren Abnaul Amir, Gowa. High social interaction among students with diverse backgrounds often leads to disputes, disciplinary violations, and seniority issues that affect the educational climate. This research aims to analyze the principal’s competencies in handling student conflicts and the strategies applied to create a peaceful school environment. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed through participatory observation, in-depth semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, staff, and students. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, and validity was ensured through triangulation and credibility techniques. The findings reveal that student conflicts were addressed not merely through punitive measures but through persuasive communication, mediation, musyawarah, and islah approaches. The principal’s managerial, social, and personal competencies played a crucial role in strengthening discipline, improving supervision, and fostering harmonious relationships among students. Conflict management practices in this madrasah demonstrate that conflicts can be transformed into constructive character-building processes when handled with appropriate leadership strategies rooted in Islamic educational values.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by PhET simulations in improving elementary school students’ concept mastery of simple electrical circuits. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using the nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of an experimental class (VA) with 30 students taught using PjBL assisted by PhET and a control class (VB) with 30 students taught using conventional learning. Data were collected using pretest and posttest instruments consisting of 15 multiple-choice questions and 5 essay questions. Data analysis was conducted using the One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test normality test, Levene homogeneity test, and independent sample t-test with SPSS 30. The results indicate that the PhET-assisted PjBL model significantly improves students’ concept mastery compared to conventional learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the creativity of students in the Elementary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD) in designing mathematics teaching materials based on digital media. The background of the research is grounded in the demands of 21st-century learning, which emphasize creativity and digital literacy as essential competencies for prospective teachers. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design. The subjects consisted of 12 PGSD students from Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through analysis of digital learning media products, observation of the design process, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that students’ creativity in designing digital learning media falls into three categories: high (33%), moderate (50%), and low (17%). Creativity was analyzed based on three main aspects: originality of ideas, pedagogical design quality, and utilization of digital literacy. The findings reveal that students’ digital literacy levels strongly influence the quality of creative products produced. Students with higher digital literacy were able to develop more innovative, interactive, and contextual learning media, while limited technical skills became a major obstacle to creativity. This study concludes that strengthening digital literacy, implementing project-based learning, and providing intensive guidance are essential strategies to enhance the creativity of PGSD students in designing digital learning media

Abstract

The significance of fostering early childhood collaboration skills as a component of social development necessitating the implementation of suitable instructional strategies in kindergarten is the driving force behind this research. This study seeks to gather insights from kindergarten teachers in Padang City regarding the impact of the project method on early childhood collaboration skills. This study used a quantitative survey approach. Participants were 102 kindergarten teachers across 11 sub-districts in Padang City. Simple random sampling was used for sampling, and simple regression analysis was used. The findings demonstrated that the project approach significantly impacted the development of early children's capacity for teamwork. Children learn to collaborate in groups, divide up responsibilities, communicate, and handle disagreements amicably through the use of the project approach. It follows that kindergarteners can benefit greatly from learning to work together through the project technique.
