Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership of the school principal in developing Islamic Religious Education extracurricular activities at State Senior High School 3 Tanjung Jabung Timur. The background of this research is based on the importance of extracurricular religious activities as a medium for developing students’ talents, interests, religious awareness, and character formation, which cannot be optimally achieved through intracurricular learning alone. The success of these activities is strongly influenced by the leadership role of the principal in planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising school programs. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, extracurricular supervisors, and students. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that the principal plays a significant role as an educator, manager, and motivator in facilitating the development of Islamic Religious Education extracurricular activities, particularly in Qur’anic recitation and Islamic arts programs. Supporting factors include institutional support, teacher commitment, and student enthusiasm, while inhibiting factors involve limited facilities, time constraints, and variations in students’ religious competencies. The development of these extracurricular activities has a positive impact on students’ religious character, discipline, self-confidence, and understanding of Islamic values. The study concludes that effective and visionary school leadership is essential for the successful development of Islamic Religious Education extracurricular activities. Strengthening leadership management and improving supporting resources are recommended to enhance the sustainability and quality of these programs.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed the financial services sector, including Islamic finance. Digitalization is considered a strategic instrument to expand access to financial services and promote financial inclusion within the Islamic financial system. This study aims to examine the role of digitalization in enhancing Islamic financial inclusion in the era of the digital economy. Using a quantitative approach, this research employs a survey method involving [number] respondents consisting of users of Islamic financial services. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis to identify the relationship between digital financial services and the level of Islamic financial inclusion. The results indicate that digitalization, particularly through mobile banking, fintech services, and digital payment platforms, has a positive and significant effect on Islamic financial inclusion. Digital financial services improve accessibility, efficiency, and user convenience, especially among unbanked and underbanked communities. Furthermore, digital-based Islamic financial services contribute to increasing public awareness and utilization of Sharia-compliant financial products. This study implies that strengthening digital infrastructure, enhancing Islamic financial literacy, and ensuring Sharia compliance in digital platforms are essential to support sustainable Islamic financial inclusion. The findings are expected to provide practical insights for policymakers, Islamic financial institutions, and stakeholders in developing inclusive and digitally driven Islamic financial ecosystems.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the suboptimal use of interactive digital media and the low level of student engagement in learning, resulting in a passive learning process and limited integration of local wisdom in classroom instruction. In fact, integrating local wisdom into learning media can make the material more contextual and meaningful for students. This study aims to develop and examine the validity and effectiveness of a Wordwall-based digital learning media integrated with East Java local wisdom. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg and Gall model, simplified into nine stages: needs analysis, product design, product development, expert validation, revision, limited trial, field testing, effectiveness evaluation, and product finalization. Data were collected through observation, interviews, expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and pre-test and post-test instruments. The data were analyzed descriptively using percentages of validity and learning mastery. The results indicated that the media achieved a “very valid” category in terms of content, media design, and language aspects. The effectiveness test showed an increase in the average score from 70 in the pre-test to 91.80 in the post-test, and learning mastery reached 91.80% above the minimum mastery criteria (KKM). Therefore, the Wordwall-based learning media integrated with East Java local wisdom is considered valid and effective for IPAS learning in fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Ecoliteracy and Adaptation (ELA) learning model in improving fifth-grade students’ creativity in Integrated Science and Social Studies (IPAS) at SD N 1 Padokan. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects consisted of 46 students who were divided into an experimental class and a control class, each consisting of 23 students. Data were collected using a creativity test instrument based on fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration indicators, which had been validated and tested for reliability. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality and homogeneity tests, and an independent sample t-test. The results showed that the mean score of the experimental class increased from 62.283 in the pre-test to 74.565 in the post-test, while the control class mean score changed from 65.000 to 64.565. The independent sample t-test revealed a significance value of 0.007 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the two groups. These findings demonstrate that the Ecoliteracy and Adaptation (ELA) learning model is effective in enhancing students’ creativity in IPAS learning. The implementation of contextual and environment-based learning encourages students’ active engagement and supports the development of 21st-century skills, particularly creativity.

Abstract

The development of information technology has made mobile phones a vital necessity for the community, including in Topoyo City, Central Mamuju Regency. The high price of mobile phones has encouraged businesses to offer credit payment schemes as an alternative for consumers who cannot afford cash purchases. However, the practice of buying and selling mobile phones on credit has the potential to cause legal issues if not implemented in accordance with the principles of Sharia Economic Law. This study aims to determine the system of buying and selling mobile phones with a credit scheme implemented in Topoyo City and analyze its compliance with Sharia provisions. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were obtained through direct interviews with counter owners and consumers, supported by documentation and literature studies. The analysis was conducted descriptively by examining credit buying and selling practices based on the pillars, conditions, and principles of Islamic jurisprudence, particularly regarding the concepts of bai' al-taqsith and murabahah. The results show that credit transactions are carried out through direct agreements without a financing institution. The difference between the cash and credit prices is agreed upon at the beginning of the contract. However, weaknesses remain, such as the lack of a written contract and the potential imposition of late fees. According to sharia, this practice is permitted as long as it meets the principles of justice, transparency, and is free from usury, gharar, and dzulm.

Abstract

The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews with the Sea Tribe community in Kampung Panglong, Desa Berakit. The results show that the community’s perception of formal education remains low. Formal education is considered less relevant to their tradition as fishermen and does not provide immediate economic benefits, leading many children to drop out of school to help with fishing activities. Factors shaping these perceptions include: (1) limited family economic conditions, with the majority working as fishermen; (2) low parental education levels; (3) traditions and habits that prioritize fishing work; (4) limited educational facilities and infrastructure; and (5) a social environment dominated by mindsets that do not support the importance of education. These findings confirm that the low participation in education among the Sea Tribe community is the result of the interaction of economic, social, cultural, and environmental factors.
