Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Silent Way method in Arabic language learning using picture card media to enhance vocabulary mastery among sixth-grade students at SD Islam Assalam Bandar Lampung. This study employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. Data were collected through vocabulary mastery tests, observations, and interviews with teachers and students. The findings indicate that the Silent Way method combined with picture card media significantly improves students’ vocabulary acquisition. In the first cycle, the mastery level reached 60%, whereas in the second cycle, it increased to 88%, demonstrating substantial improvement. This method also enhances student engagement and motivation in Arabic language learning. In conclusion, the Silent Way method with picture card media can serve as an effective alternative strategy to improve vocabulary mastery among elementary school students. This study recommends the broader implementation of this method and further exploration of technology integration in its application.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh banyaknya siswa di kelas IB SD Negeri 004 Samarinda Ilir yang masih belum bisa membaca, hal itu dikarenakan siswa kesulitan dalam mengenal dan menyebutkan simbol huruf, mengingat huruf sehingga pada saat siswa membaca siswa menjadi kebingungan karena belum tau huruf yang mereka baca. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa melalui media kartu huruf dan papan susun kata pada siswa kelas IB SD Negeri 004 Samarinda Ilir Tahun Pembelajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari tiga siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IB SD Negeri 004 Samarinda Ilir, yang berjumlah sebanyak 22 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas IB menggunakan media kartu huruf dan papan susun kata yang dapat dibuktikan dari hasil tes kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa. Pada pra siklus ketuntasan klasikal siswa sebesar 36,36%, mengalami peningkatan ke siklus I dengan ketuntasan klasikal siswa sebesar 45,45% dengan peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan sebesar 10,11%. Selanjutnya pada siklus II ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 63,63% dengan persentase peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan 20,08%. Selanjutnya pada siklus III ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 81,81% dengan persentase peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan 35,92%.

This study aims to determine 1) The Implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Approach in Arabic Speaking Skills, and 2) The Effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Approach in Arabic Speaking Skills. This research employs a mixed-method approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative methods. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observations and questionnaires. The results of this study indicate the successful implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach in Arabic Speaking Skills, supported by several steps within the CTL framework. Furthermore, the use of the Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach in Arabic language learning effectively enhances the process of Maharah Kalam (Speaking Skills). This is demonstrated by the questionnaire distributed via Google Forms, which received a score of 80%.

Teacher creativity in the learning process has a central role in helping increase students' interest in learning. Through creative and fun teaching methods, it is hoped that teachers can help increase students' interest in learning at school. Interest in learning is important to encourage students to be more active and active in achieving their learning goals. This research aims to determine the relationship between teacher creativity and the learning interest of class V students at SDN 82 Singkawang. The population in this study was 47 students, namely students in classes Va and Vb. Meanwhile, the sample is the total number of the population, namely 47 students. The sampling technique uses saturated samples or total sampling. Research data was obtained using a questionnaire. The results of data analysis show that there is no relationship between teacher creativity and student interest in learning. This can be seen from the correlation hypothesis test which shows that the normality of the teacher creativity questionnaire and the student interest questionnaire are not normally distributed with the decision of a sig value smaller than 0.05, namely 0.00 < 0.05, meaning that the data obtained is not normally distributed. Judging from the calculation results of the data from the two questionnaires which were not normally distributed, the researcher calculated using the Spearman Rank correlation analysis technique with results of 0.203 > 0.05 with a significance level of a= 0.05 with the number of students (n)= 47 students, then Ho was accepted, meaning that there was no significant relationship between variables X (teacher creativity) and Y (interest in learning) with a very low level of relationship. Therefore, the research results show that there is no significant relationship between teacher creativity and the learning interest of class V students at SDN 82 Singkawang.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemberitaan kasus “Polwan Bakar Suami hingga Tewas” pada laman media massa Detik.com berdasarkan teori analisis wacana kritis Theo Van Leeuwen dan berbasis korpus. Metode campuran digunakan dalam penelitian, di mana data dikumpulkan dari laman media massa Detik.com terkait kasus tersebut menggunakan teknik web scraping dengan aplikasi Octoparse. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan aplikasi Antconc untuk mengidentifikasi penghitungan kata, frekuensi, konkordansi, kolokasi dan kombinasi kata (n-gram). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya bias institusional dengan menyoroti aspek jabatan dan profesi perlaku maupun korban sebagai bagian dari anggota kepolisian. Media menampilkan institusi kepolisian dalam framing positif terlihat dari penekanan pada peran aktif kepolisian dalam menangani kasus. Selain itu, diksi yang digunakan dalam pemberitaan cenderung bersifat sensasional, dengan pemilihan kata yang memperkuat kesan bahwa pelaku melakukan tindakan kriminal yang keji dan tidak berperikemanusiaan. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa media memiliki peran signifikan dalam membentuk wacana publik, dan penggunaan Analisis Wacana Kritis berbasis korpus dapat mengungkap lapisan makna yang lebih dalam pada suatu berita.

Penekanan nilai pendidikan karakter saat ini mulai kehilangan maknanya, berbagai pihak lebih mengutamakan prestasi akademik kebanding moral seseorang. Berbagai penyimpangan nilai pendidikan mulai muncul yang menunjukkan dampak negatif. Seseorang mulai kehilangan jati dirinya, kehilangan kualitas individu lantaran penanaman nilai pendidikan karakter yang mulai diabaikan. Permasalahan ini perlu diatasi agar tidak menimbulkan masalah yang lebih besar dengan peneliti tertarik melakukan penelitian yaitu memberikan contoh penerapan nilai pendidikan karakter yang baik merujuk pada ranah posifi pada sebuah buku kumpulan cerpen. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui nilai pendidikan karakter yang terkandung pada kumpulan cerpen “Punyan Kayu anè Masaput Polèng di Tegal Pekak Dompu”. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kumpulan cerpen “Punyan Kayu anè Masaput Polèng di Tegal Pekak Dompu” karya IGB Wèda Sanjaya serta objek dalam penelitian ini adalah nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terkandung dalam kumpulan cerpen “Punyan Kayu anè Masaput Polèng di Tegal Pekak Dompu”. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik studi pustaka yaitu membaca, dan mencatat serta metode analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan pada Kumpulan Cerpen “Punyan Kayu anè Masaput Polèng di Tegal Pekak Dompu” dengan 8 judul cerpen mengandung 10 nilai pendidikan karakter yaitu terdiri dari nilai religius, jujur, toleransi, kerja keras, cinta tanah air, bersahabat/ komunikatif, cinta damai, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab.

The study of the process of language acquisition is part of Psycholinguistics as a field of study that connects psychology with linguistics, with a focus on the mental processes involved in the acquisition, use and understanding of language. Psycholinguistics is very important because it discusses the problems of language acquisition, the relationship between language knowledge and language use, and the process of producing and understanding speech. Through psycholinguistics, the language used needs to be structured and have elements of good grammar.

This research aims to find out how to apply media assisted by the Canva application to improve Civics learning outcomes for class VIII students at SMP Negeri 38 Central Maluku. Quantitative method research type or Classroom Action Research (PTK). From the results of this research, it can be concluded that the application of media assisted by the Canva application to improve students' Civics learning outcomes in class VIII at SMPN 38 Central Maluku is: 1) The teacher carries out apperception by providing a video that is broadcast using the Canva application for students to view and the students provide feedback regarding in the video, 2) The teacher divides the students into several groups to solve the problems given by the teacher, 3) The teacher gives students to discuss to solve the problems given, 4) The teacher gives the students the opportunity to present problems that have been successfully solved, 5) The teacher provides reinforcement and conclusions about the results found and the material taught. This research also shows that there is an increase with the application of media assisted by the Canva application in learning. This can be seen from the increase in the results of cycle I, cycle II and cycle III. In the results of the first cycle, the average student score was 65.3, 7 students who achieved completeness had a percentage of 20%, while 23 students who had not completed it had a percentage of 80%. In cycle II the average student score was 75.3%, students who had completed 50% with a total of 15 students and the remaining students who had not completed were also 15 students with a percentage of 50%. Meanwhile, in cycle III the average student score was 84.6%, students who completed it were 96.7% with a total of 29 students and 1 student who had not completed it with a percentage of 3.3% due to not attending school/Alpa. Thus, this classroom action research was completed in cycle III and did not continue in subsequent cycles.

Reporting on online gambling is highly prevalent in Indonesia and extensively covered by online mass media. This study aims to describe the representation of social actors in online gambling coverage on Detik.com through corpus-based discourse analysis. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Data was collected using Octoparse software and analyzed using AntConc software. The findings reveal that Detik.com’s reporting deliberately emphasizes certain social actors and actions to construct the narrative. Roles such as perpetrators, victims, and the police are portrayed as central elements in the online gambling crime narrative, whereas the role of the government is depicted in a normative and administrative manner. Furthermore, the study finds that news coverage not only serves as an information source but also influences public opinion by obscuring power structures and economic interests behind online gambling promotions. These findings indicate that corpus-based discourse analysis effectively uncovers hidden agendas and biases in news texts, impacting public perception and attitudes.

This research was motivated by the low mathematical abilities of students in mathematics subjects. This can be seen from the low scores obtained by students, especially in mathematical communication skills. The low results of students' mathematical communication cannot be separated from the approach taken by the teacher. There are a number of approaches that can improve students' mathematical communication skills, including the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach and the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. However, in this case the author cannot be sure which approach is better. Therefore, the aim of this research is to compare mathematical communication skills using Contextual Teaching and Learning with Realistic Mathematics Education of Class VI Elementary School Students in Sijunjung Regency. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group research design. The data analysis process used in this research uses a 2x2 Factorial Design with the static group comparison design. From data analysis and hypotheses it was found that (1) there was a significant influence of using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach on the mathematical communication skills of class VI students at SDN 28 Padang Laweh. (2) there is a significant effect of using the Realistic Mathematics Educaton (RME) approach on the mathematical communication skills of class VI students at SDN 20 Padang Laweh. (3) there is a significant difference in students' mathematical communication abilities using the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach with the Realistic Mathematics Educaton (RME) Approach in class VI at SD Negeri 28 Padang Laweh and at SD Negeri 20 Padang Laweh
