Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the educational game media Wordwall on the English vocabulary mastery of fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Haurpanggung. The research design used was a one group pre-test and post-test design. The sample consisted of 29 students of class V-A at SDN 1 Haurpanggung. Data were collected through a vocabulary mastery test administered before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the use of Wordwall. The results showed that the average pre-test score was 58.79, while the average post-test score increased to 81.55. The paired sample t-test analysis indicated a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and tcount 13.912 > ttable 2.048, which means there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the Wordwall educational game has a significant effect on improving students’ English vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of PhET (Physics Education Technology) media on the ability to understand fraction material in grade VI students with mild intellectual disabilities at SLB Negeri 1 Central Lombok. This study uses a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design, with five students with mild intellectual disabilities as research subjects. The data collection technique uses a fraction material comprehension ability test, while data analysis is carried out using the nonparametric Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of the study show an increase in the ability to understand fraction material after being given treatment using PhET media, which is indicated by an average pretest value of 32.00 and an increase to 88.80 in the posttest. The results of the Wilcoxon test show an Asymp. signed value. (2-tailed) of 0.041, which is smaller than the significance level of 0.05, so that H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of PhET media has a significant effect on the ability to understand fraction material in students with mild mental retardation, because PhET media is able to present abstract fraction concepts in a more concrete, visual, and easy to understand way.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the brick perming technique on the elasticity and durability of curly hair. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach supported by a literature review. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation at Alyn’s Salon Ansari Medan, involving one salon practitioner as the subject. The results showed that the brick perming technique is capable of producing more even, natural-looking curls with durability lasting up to approximately six months when properly maintained. In terms of elasticity, virgin hair demonstrated better results compared to chemically treated hair, which tends to be drier and more prone to damage. In addition, factors such as the timing of chemical application, rolling technique, and post-perming care also influence the quality of the results. Therefore, it can be concluded that the brick perming technique is effective in improving hair elasticity and durability, although it is also influenced by the initial condition of the hair and the procedures applied.

Abstract

The research entitled "Implementation of Role Playing Model to Improve Indonesian Language Learning Outcomes on Interview Text Material of Fourth Grade Students of SDN Oesapa Kecil 2, Kupang City" was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN Oesapa Kecil 2, Kupang City in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN Oesapa Kecil 2 after the implementation of the role playing model in learning. The research approach used was classroom action research (CAR). The subjects in this study were all 21 fourth grade students of SDN Oesapa Kecil 2. The data collection techniques used were observation and tests. This research was conducted in 2 cycles, where in the first cycle the students' learning outcomes met the criteria of being quite good with a percentage of completion reaching 57.14%. While in the second cycle, the students' learning outcomes increased significantly and met the criteria of being very good with a percentage of completion reaching 95.23%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the role playing model is effective in improving Indonesian language learning outcomes in the interview text material of fourth grade students at SDN Oesapa Kecil 2, Kupang City.

Abstract

This research aims to develop SIBUDI (Sinergi Budaya Indonesia) teaching materials assisted by Kartu Korsa Bhinneka based on gamification in Civics Education (PKn) learning on the material of Indonesian cultural diversity in elementary schools as a solution to the limited use of learning media in the classroom. In its implementation, the researcher applied a gamification approach with the expectation of creating an enjoyable learning process and presenting a more lively and meaningful classroom atmosphere. The development of SIBUDI teaching materials assisted by Kartu Korsa Bhinneka uses the ADDIE development model which includes five stages, namely Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. However, this research was only carried out up to the implementation stage and limited formative evaluation due to the time limitations possessed by the researcher. The validation results from material experts, media experts, language experts, and user experts show that the SIBUDI (Sinergi Budaya Indonesia) teaching materials assisted by Kartu Korsa Bhinneka based on gamification obtained an average score of 94.7% which is stated to be very feasible to be used by teachers and students in elementary schools. In addition, the results of the limited trial show a student response percentage of 92.4% which is in the very practical category. Thus, this research successfully shows that SIBUDI teaching materials assisted by Kartu Korsa Bhinneka based on gamification can become a relevant solution and provide an alternative learning media that is interesting and interactive in Civics Education learning, especially on the material of Indonesian cultural diversity. The limited trial of this research was conducted at MIM Unggulan Kota Gorontalo as the research location.

Abstract

Educational materials are an interconnected part of the education system, alongside educational objectives, educators, students, educational methods, educational media, and educational evaluation. Basic educational materials in Islamic education play a crucial role in teaching students to achieve the goal of Islamic education, namely, developing a complete human being (insan kamil). This study aims to explore basic educational materials in Islamic education through the book "Hidayah al-Salikin fi Suluki Maslak al-Muttaqin" by Abdul Samad al-Palimbani. The discussion focuses on analyzing the basic educational materials in Islamic education in this book. The research approach is qualitative, using library research methods. Data analysis techniques use the Miles and Huberman data analysis model. The results of the study indicate that there are three main basic educational materials in Islamic education: faith education, sharia education, and moral education. The sources of basic educational materials in Islamic education are the Qur'an, the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, and the ijtihad of scholars.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of flash sales and free shipping on purchase decisions with impulse buying as a mediating variable among university students. The rapid growth of e-commerce platforms has encouraged the use of various promotional strategies, such as flash sales and free shipping, which are considered effective in influencing consumer behavior, especially students who tend to be responsive to limited-time offers and price incentives. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method through questionnaires distributed to 112 student respondents. Data analysis techniques include descriptive and inferential analysis to examine the relationships between variables and the mediating role of impulse buying. The results indicate that flash sales and free shipping have a positive effect on purchase decisions and significantly increase the tendency of impulse buying, which in turn strengthens purchase decisions. Impulse buying is proven to act as a mediating variable in the relationship between flash sales and free shipping on purchase decisions. These findings suggest that time- limited promotional strategies and price incentives are effective in encouraging spontaneous purchases and enhancing consumer purchase decisions.

Abstract

Low student self-confidence in science learning is a problem at SD Negeri Songgom 05. Observation results show that only 20.8% of students dare to ask and answer questions voluntarily, while the other 79.2% tend to be passive. This study aims to analyze the effect of self-confidence on scientific literacy and scientific attitudes of fifth-grade students in the water cycle science subject through the implementation of outdoor learning models. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest control group design. The study population was fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Songgom 05 and SD Negeri Songgom 08. A sample of 50 students was determined using a saturated sampling technique, consisting of 25 students in the experimental class and 25 students in the control class. Data collection instruments were multiple-choice tests for scientific literacy and structured observation sheets for scientific attitudes. Data analysis used the Mann-Whitney U test, because the data did not have the same variance. The results showed that the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value was 0.000 (<0.05) for scientific literacy, so Ha1 was accepted. Descriptive analysis showed that 76% of experimental class students achieved a very high level of scientific attitude (77%-100%) and 24% achieved a high level (51%-75%). The conclusion of this study is that self-confidence has a significant influence on scientific literacy and scientific attitudes of fifth grade students of Songgom 05 Elementary School on the water cycle material through outdoor learning models.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the validity and effectiveness of developing student worksheets (LKPD) integrated with Augmented Reality (AR) in improving spatial abilities on light wave material for grade XI high school students. This study used a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model combined with a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. Data were collected through validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and pretest-posttest of spatial abilities. The results showed that the AR-based LKPD was valid with an Aiken's V average of 0.910 and practical with a positive response from teachers and students. Inferential analysis using the Mann-Whitney U test showed a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, and the N-Gain of the experimental class (0.5827) was higher than the control class (0.4128). It is concluded that the integration of AR in LKPD is effective in improving students' spatial abilities.

Abstract

Bullying behavior in schools is a serious problem that impacts the psychological and social development of students. Previous research has tended to discuss the role of teachers in general, but has not specifically examined the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI), particularly through the teaching of Akidah Akhlak (Islamic Aqidah) in preventing bullying at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah (Islamic Junior High School) level. This study aims to analyze the role of PAI in preventing bullying behavior at MTs Negeri 4 Karawang. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with four students and one Akidah Akhlak teacher selected purposively. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that students' understanding of bullying is quite good, but there are still gaps in practice, particularly regarding verbal bullying, which is often perceived as a joke. PAI plays a role in preventing bullying through the internalization of moral values, teacher role models, and religious-based school programs. Theoretically, these findings suggest that the effectiveness of PAI lies in the successful integration of cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects in student character development. However, the main challenge comes from the influence of social media, necessitating synergy between schools and parents in providing education and supervision.
