Abstract

This research is motivated by the low descriptive text writing skills of third-grade students of SDN 16 Air Tawar Timur, Padang City, which is caused by teacher-centered learning, lack of active student participation, and less than optimal implementation of writing stages. This research aims to improve descriptive text writing skills through the implementation of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning strategy. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative and quantitative approach implemented in two cycles, where each cycle includes the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, tests, and non-tests with research subjects including class teachers as observers, researchers as practitioners, and third-grade students as participants. The results of the study showed an increase in various aspects, namely the RPPM assessment which increased from 80% (good) in cycle I to 100% (very good) in cycle II, the teacher aspect assessment increased from 75% (sufficient) to 100% (very good), and the student aspect assessment increased from 75% (sufficient) to 100% (very good). In addition, the average narrative text writing skills of students also increased from 63.15% (needs guidance) in cycle I to 95.11% (very good) in cycle II, so it can be concluded that the application of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning strategy is effective in improving the descriptive text writing skills of grade III students of SDN 16 Air Tawar Timur, Padang City.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of academic procrastination in learning the Qur'an Hadith in the madrasa environment, although ideally Islamic educational institutions emphasize discipline, responsibility, and sincerity in learning. The behavior of postponing tasks is not only related to technical aspects such as time management, but also related to students' psychological factors, especially self-efficacy or belief in one's ability to complete academic tasks. Based on this, this study aims to analyze the relationship between low self-efficacy and students' academic procrastination in learning the Qur'an Hadith. This study uses a quantitative ex post facto approach with a correlational type. Data were collected through self-efficacy and academic procrastination questionnaires given to respondents, then analyzed using a simple correlation test to see the direction and strength of the relationship between variables. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between low self-efficacy and academic procrastination with a significance value of 0.001 (<0.05) and a correlation coefficient that showed a strong relationship with a positive direction of 0.705. These findings indicate that the lower a student's self-efficacy, the higher the tendency for academic procrastination, and vice versa. Theoretically, these results align with Albert Bandura's emphasis on how an individual's belief in their abilities influences their actions, effort, and persistence in completing tasks. Therefore, this study confirms that self-efficacy plays a significant role in reducing academic procrastination and provides important implications for strengthening learning strategies focused on enhancing student self-confidence in the context of Qur'anic and Hadith education.

Abstract

This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model. The techniques used for data collection include interviews, questionnaires and documentation and are equipped with system testing procedures. Blackbox Testing techniques and validation of product feasibility by experts were carried out to obtain responses regarding the feasibility of learning media. The validation results for product feasibility were analyzed and then converted using a Likert Scale. The objectives of this study are: 1) To determine and assess the level of feasibility of the design of android-based learning for the subject of science, the material of elements, compounds and mixtures for class VIII of SMP Negeri 7 Surakarta; 2) To determine the responses of teachers regarding the design of android-based learning for the subject of science, the material of elements, compounds and mixtures for class VIII of SMP Negeri 7 Surakarta. The results of the study showed that the learning media "A.P.I" obtained very feasible criteria. The results obtained from material experts produced an average percentage of 82%, from media experts produced an average percentage of 85%, then from educators produced an average percentage of 75%. Thus, the learning media "A.P.I" is considered to be able to be used as an alternative learning resource in supporting the science learning process.

Abstract

The rapid development of social media in Indonesia has brought about significant changes in public communication patterns. However, behind this convenience, negative phenomena have emerged in the form of the spread of hoaxes and increasingly worrying cyberbullying behavior. Based on data from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, there were 1,923 hoaxes detected throughout 2024, while cyberbullying cases had exceeded 4,000 by mid-2023. This study aims to analyze how the Islamic da'wah perspective can serve as an ethical basis for using media to address the phenomenon of hoaxes and cyberbullying in the digital space. This study used a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained through documentation techniques from primary sources, including the Quran, hadith, and academic books, as well as secondary sources consisting of scientific journal articles indexed in Sinta and Scopus published between 2019 and 2024. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis and thematic analysis techniques, while data validity was ensured through source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that Islam has a comprehensive ethical framework for communication, encompassing the principle of tabayyun (verifying information) in Surah Al-Hujurat verse 6, as well as the prohibition on mocking and insulting others in Surah Al-Hujurat verse 11, both of which are highly relevant as normative solutions to hoaxes and cyberbullying. Islamic da'wah plays a strategic role in shaping the moral awareness of social media users through the internalization of noble character values ​​in the digital space. This study contributes to enriching the academic literature on Islamic media ethics in Indonesia and recommends strengthening empathetic and solution-oriented digital da'wah programs based on Quranic values.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the demands of implementing the Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program in improving the quality of education that is flexible, adaptive, and student-centered, particularly in Islamic educational institutions that integrate scientific knowledge with Islamic values. However, its implementation still faces various challenges, such as limitations in human resources, inadequate understanding of policies, and insufficient facilities and infrastructure. This study aims to describe the implementation of MBKM, identify the challenges encountered, and formulate relevant solutions. The method used is qualitative research with a library research approach, involving the analysis of secondary data from books, journals, and scientific articles using content analysis techniques. The results indicate that the implementation of MBKM has been carried out through curriculum adjustments based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) in higher education and the application of the Merdeka Curriculum with a differentiated approach in madrasahs, although it has not been fully optimized. The challenges include difficulties in integrating Islamic values, limited understanding among educators, unequal access to collaboration, and minimal facility support. Therefore, improving educators’ competencies, strengthening collaboration, and enhancing policy and infrastructural support are necessary for more effective implementation.

Abstract

Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) is currently taking over the teaching of English as a Foreign Language (EFL), with Spotify being a popular tool for improving listening comprehension. However, it ignores the possibility of cognitive overload and the appearance of productivity, and it is erroneous to assume that autonomous technology adoption invariably enhances understanding. The purpose of this study is to investigate the patterns, advantages, difficulties, and efficacy of utilizing Spotify podcasts in EFL listening comprehension. Data were gathered using a literature review process from a variety of scientific publications that had been published in the previous ten years via indexed academic sources. There are four major conclusions from the analysis. First, because of the platform's entertainment algorithms, the trend of autonomy frequently results in passive listening, which calls for metacognitive techniques. Third, there is a chance of mistake fossilization and cognitive overload due to the absence of visual signals and immediate feedback. Fourth, more time spent on the assignment and the use of pedagogical scaffolding are more important for improving scores than the application alone. In summary, Spotify is an essential source of language input, but rather than operating as a stand-alone learning environment, its overall efficacy is entirely dependent on the combination of instructors' instructional design and students' metacognitive discipline.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary students in understanding economic activities, particularly production, distribution, and consumption, due to the use of conventional and less interactive learning media. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of EduButterfly media based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in improving students’ learning outcomes. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The subjects of this study were fourth-grade students at SDN Kedungdoro 2 Surabaya. Data were collected through tests (pretest and posttest) and student response questionnaires. The results show a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes, as indicated by the increase in posttest scores compared to pretest scores and supported by the N-Gain results in the moderate to high category. In addition, student responses toward the use of EduButterfly media were very positive, indicating that the media is engaging, interactive, and effective in facilitating learning. Therefore, the EduButterfly media based on Project-Based Learning is proven to be effective in improving students’ understanding of economic activity materials in elementary school.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of clinical supervision in enhancing the pedagogical competence of high school teachers. The study employs a qualitative approach with a literature review method, using data collection techniques thru observation, interviews, and documentation involving school principals and high school teachers. The research findings indicate that clinical supervision has been implemented thru humanistic, dialogical, and reflective approaches; however, its execution has not been optimal and consistent due to a tendency to use traditional supervisory approaches that are instructive and evaluative in nature, as well as weak follow-up on supervision. This study concludes that clinical supervision plays an important role in enhancing the pedagogical competence of high school teachers; however, it needs to be implemented systematically, collaboratively, and sustainably to provide a comprehensive improvement in teachers' pedagogical competence.

Abstract

The development of modern lifestyles, which tend to be physically inactive, has led to various health problems in society, including an increased risk of chronic diseases and decreased quality of life. Therefore, exercise plays an important role in promoting a healthy lifestyle. This study aims to analyze the role of exercise in encouraging healthy living through a literature review method. The data were obtained from 10 national journals published within the last 5 to 10 years and relevant to the research topic. The analysis technique used was content analysis by comparing findings from various studies. The results indicate that exercise has a significant impact on improving physical fitness, mental health, and public awareness in adopting healthy lifestyles. However, several challenges remain, such as lack of motivation, limited time, and insufficient facilities, which hinder community participation in physical activities. Therefore, continuous efforts through education, health programs, and environmental support are needed to make exercise a consistent habit in daily life. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of transforming the values of tolerance and anti-violence in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning through the perspective of internalizing the Pancasila Student Profile at MTs Putra-Putri Lamongan. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the value transformation process occurs through three main stages: value transformation, value transaction, and value trans-internalization. The values of tolerance and antiviolence are integrated into the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile, such as global diversity, mutual cooperation, and noble character. Supporting factors include the religious environment, teacher role models, and the independent curriculum, while inhibiting factors include external environmental influences and limited social control. This study confirms that PAI learning plays a strategic role in shaping students' peaceful character.
