Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbasis media digital permainan ular tangga pada peserta didik kelas V MIN 1 Tolitoli. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa, di mana sebagian besar belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) 70, serta pembelajaran yang masih didominasi metode ceramah dan kurangnya penggunaan media inovatif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 28 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi aktivitas guru dan peserta didik serta tes hasil belajar pada ranah kognitif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL berbasis multimedia ular tangga mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan, antusiasme, serta kemampuan peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah, yang berdampak pada peningkatan hasil belajar IPAS secara bertahap dari pra-siklus hingga siklus II dan mencapai ketuntasan yang diharapkan. Dengan demikian, integrasi model PBL dan media permainan ular tangga berbasis digital terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang aktif, kontekstual, dan menyenangkan serta meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS peserta didik sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Student behavioral engagement is one of the key indicators in assessing the quality of the learning process, as it reflects the extent to which students actively participate in classroom learning activities. This study aimed to analyze students’ behavioral engagement in Indonesian language learning in grade II of SDN Semper Barat 11. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The participants were 32 students of class II D. Data were collected through non-participant observation and documentation during two learning meetings. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman analysis model. The results showed that students’ behavioral engagement had not appeared evenly among all students. Most students showed good attention, followed the teacher’s instructions, and were involved in completing learning tasks during the lesson. However, in the indicator of active participation, especially asking questions, students’ engagement was still low because no students asked questions during the observation. In addition, several students consistently showed low engagement in almost all observed indicators. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that students’ behavioral engagement in Indonesian language learning was still dominated by participation that appeared when students were directed by the teacher and had not fully emerged from students’ own initiative. Therefore, teachers need to provide more opportunities for students to ask questions, express opinions, and actively participate during the learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh meningkatnya kerusakan lingkungan serta rendahnya kesadaran ekologis siswa di sekolah. Pendidikan agama Islam memiliki peran strategis dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai kepedulian lingkungan melalui pendekatan Eco-Islamic Education. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi guru pendidikan agama islam dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran lingkungan serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini meliputi guru pendidikan agama Islam, kepala sekolah, dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi guru dilakukan melalui perencanaan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai islam dengan materi lingkungan, pelaksanaan pembelajaran melalui keteladanan, pembiasaan, serta partisipasi aktif siswa, dan evaluasi yang mencakyp aspek kognitif, sikap, dan perilaku. Nilai-nilai seperti tauhid, amanah, khalifah, dan mizan menjadi dasar dalam membangun kesadaran ekologis siswa. Faktor pendukung meliputi kebijakam sekolah, budaya lingkungan, dan status adiwiyata, sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi perbedaan karakter siswa, keterbatasan pengawasan, serta kurangnya dukungan keluarga.

Abstract

Education is the most influential pillar in advancing a nation. It is the spearhead for the creation of reliable human resources in every country, especially Indonesia. The modernization of science sponsored by the Western world has led to a profound error, particularly in the crisis of faith in God, the creator of the universe. The shift in scientific principles after modernization has seen many changes in human characteristics, leading to rationality and materialistic attitudes. Amidst the crisis in religious values, awareness has re-emerged of the importance of a holistic educational approach, one that not only enlightens the mind but also touches the heart and shapes the soul based on religion. Seyyed Hossein Nasr emerged, criticizing modern science for erasing traces of God in the order of nature. This is where the idea of ​​sacralizing science emerged. Through Scientia Sacra, science can reveal its highly complex side, rich in sacredness and spirituality. Education that combines science and Islamic values ​​can help create individuals who are not only intellectually intelligent but also possess good morals. By studying Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in elementary schools, we can conclude how important the integration of religion and science is. This is in line with Nasr's opinion, in Islamic teachings, nature and humans are aspects that are separate entities, but are integral, holistic parts.

Abstract

Educational quality assurance has become a strategic priority in ensuring sustainable school improvement, encompassing not only academic outcomes but also systemic processes and organizational culture. This study aims to analyze the implementation of internal quality audits, follow-up mechanisms, and the development of quality culture at SDIT Jaisyul Quran Binekas Nagreg. A qualitative case study approach was employed to explore the phenomenon in depth through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that internal audits have been conducted periodically; however, their function remains largely administrative and has not fully transformed into a continuous improvement instrument within the PPEPP cycle. Evidence collection has applied triangulation techniques, although it is still dominated by documentation rather than authentic classroom practices. Furthermore, follow-up actions are not yet systematically structured, limiting the effectiveness of corrective measures. The study also highlights that quality culture is gradually developing through leadership, routine communication, and the internalization of Islamic values such as amanah, ihsan, and itqan. These values strengthen teachers’ intrinsic motivation and institutional commitment to quality. Overall, the research formulates an integrative model that connects audit, follow-up, and quality culture within a sustainable system based on ethical and spiritual foundations.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of reading literacy activities at the beginning of Indonesian Language learning and their relationship to the expository writing skills of ninth-grade students at MTsN Karo in the academic year 2025/2026. The study was motivated by the suboptimal use of reading literacy activities in supporting students' writing skills, particularly in composing logical and systematic expository texts. A mixed methods approach with an Exploratory Sequential Design was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and expository writing tests. The research subjects consisted of all 20 students in class IX-8 at MTsN Karo. The results indicate that reading literacy activities had been implemented routinely for 15 minutes at the start of each lesson; students achieved an average score of 76.5 in expository writing, classified in the good category; however, student engagement was uneven and the integration between reading literacy and writing instruction had not been optimized. This study concludes that reading literacy activities have a positive relationship with expository writing skills, though more targeted strategies are needed to maximize their benefits.

Abstract

Based on field research and analysis, the stimulation of children’s memory skills has not been optimally facilitated through learning media that are relevant, enjoyable, and aligned with their developmental stages. There is a need for learning innovations based on structured play; one potential alternative that remains rarely studied in Early Childhood Education settings is simple and concrete unplugged coding media. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing Micro Coding Play media in improving memory skills among Group B early childhood students at RA Tarbiyatul Huda. This research adopts a qualitative approach using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, carried out in three stages: pre-action, Cycle I, and Cycle II. The research subjects consisted of 15 children — 10 boys and 5 girls. Memory assessment focused on three key indicators: (1) remembering simple instructions, (2) sequencing activity steps, and (3) imitating simple patterns using Micro Coding Play media. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and field notes, then analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods and presented by cycle. Classical success criteria were defined as met when at least 80% of the research subjects achieved the “Developing as Expected” or “Developing Very Well” categories. The results showed a significant improvement from Cycle I to Cycle II. Achievement for the indicator of remembering simple instructions increased from 20% to 80%, the ability to sequence activity steps rose from 20% to 93%, and the skill to imitate simple patterns improved from 27% to 93%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that Micro Coding Play media is proven effective as an unplugged coding-based cognitive stimulation tool that suits the characteristics and learning styles of young children. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of developing independence character in early childhood through daily routine activities at TK Negeri Pembina Baubau City and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Research subjects included the principal, teachers, and children aged 4–5 years. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that daily routine activities such as storing personal belongings, handwashing, eating together, tidying up play equipment, and classroom transition routines significantly contributed to developing children’s independence character. The developed aspects included self-help skills, responsibility, discipline, initiative, and self-confidence. Supporting factors included a conducive school environment, teacher consistency, positive reinforcement, and school programs, while inhibiting factors involved overprotective parenting, lack of consistency at home, and limited opportunities for independent decision-making. This study confirms that daily routine activities are effective strategies for character education in early childhood when consciously designed, structured, and consistently implemented. The findings highlight the importance of collaboration between schools and families in optimizing children’s independence character formation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of gender and emotional intelligence on students’ maharah kitabah (writing skill). The background of this study is based on the fact that students’ writing ability in Arabic is still relatively low and is influenced by various internal factors, including gender differences and emotional intelligence. This research uses a quantitative approach with a causal-comparative design. The subjects of this study consisted of 31 students, including 14 male and 17 female students.Data collection techniques included questionnaires to measure emotional intelligence and tests to assess students’ maharah kitabah. The data were analyzed using Independent Sample T-Test to examine differences based on gender and simple linear regression to determine the effect of emotional intelligence. The results of the study show that there is a significant difference in students’ maharah kitabah based on gender, with a significance value less than 0.05. Meanwhile, the result of the regression analysis shows that emotional intelligence does not have a significant effect on maharah kitabah, with a significance value of 0.102 (p > 0.05). In conclusion, gender plays a role in differentiating students’ writing abilities, while emotional intelligence does not show a significant influence in this study. These findings indicate that individual characteristics, particularly gender, have a stronger contribution to students’ maharah kitabah compared to emotional intelligence.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' critical thinking skills on the topic "Bumiku Sayang, Bumiku Malang" in the fifth grade of SDN 2 Lamcot. This research used a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental Design in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population consisted of all 23 fifth-grade students, all of whom were selected as the sample using saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and documentation, with instruments consisting of observation sheets and essay tests. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant improvement: pretest mean was 63.91 and posttest mean was 82.61, with an N-Gain value of 0.52 (moderate category). The t-test result showed t-count (18.41) > t-table (2.07) at significance level 0.05 (dk = 22), leading to rejection of H₀ and acceptance of H₁. Therefore, the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model significantly improves the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Lamcot on the topic "Bumiku Sayang, Bumiku Malang."
