Abstract

This literature review study aims to analyze the various difficulties faced by fifth-grade elementary school students in solving problems related to the volume of three-dimensional shapes. Mathematics is an important subject but is often considered difficult by students, especially in three-dimensional geometry. Through a review of various literature sources including books and scientific journals from 2020 onwards, it was found that student difficulties stem from internal and external factors. Internal factors include weak conceptual understanding, low spatial ability, and lack of learning motivation. External factors include less varied teaching methods, limited learning media, and an unconducive learning environment. The results of the study indicate that students' main difficulties lie in the stages of understanding the concept of volume, applying formulas, and interpreting word problems. The resulting recommendations include the use of concrete media, problem-based learning approaches, and strengthening the understanding of basic three-dimensional shape concepts before entering volume calculations.

Abstract

This study aims to theoretically analyze the concept of self-regulated learning (SRL) among students with special needs within the context of inclusive education. The research employs a qualitative approach through a literature review by examining relevant scholarly sources. The findings indicate that SRL is a crucial ability encompassing planning, monitoring, and self-reflection in the learning process. For students with special needs, the development of SRL is influenced by cognitive and motivational limitations as well as the level of support provided by the learning environment. The implementation of SRL in inclusive education requires adaptive instructional strategies, active teacher involvement, and a supportive environment to foster students’ independent learning. Therefore, SRL plays a strategic role in enhancing the quality of inclusive education. This study is expected to provide a conceptual foundation for developing more effective and student-centered learning models.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of creative social media content in economics teaching modules and its contribution to student learning engagement at the senior high school (SMA) level. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation of economics teachers and students. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, encompassing data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the integration of creative social media content in economics teaching modules is carried out through four primary forms: embedding educational video links via QR codes, utilizing social media infographics as conceptual illustrations, assigning students to produce creative content, and facilitating discussions based on viral content relevant to economic topics. This integration demonstrably enhances student learning engagement across three dimensions: behavioral, emotional, and cognitive engagement, with the strongest effects observed in the emotional and behavioral dimensions. Supporting factors include teachers' digital competence and adequate school infrastructure, while inhibiting factors encompass the potential for digital distraction and inequalities in digital access among students. The findings are analyzed through the theoretical lenses of Constructivism, Social Learning Theory, Student Engagement Theory, Connectivism, and the Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning. This study contributes to the development of an economics learning model that is responsive to the digital ecosystem inhabited by Generation Z students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Poster Comment method on the learning effectiveness of Package B learners at PKBM Laskar Pelangi. The study was motivated by the low level of learners' participation during the learning process, which has affected their learning effectiveness. The Poster Comment method was selected because it encourages learners to observe posters, provide comments, express opinions, participate in discussions, and present their ideas actively, thereby creating a more interactive and student-centered learning environment. This study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The research sample consisted of 28 Package B learners at PKBM Laskar Pelangi. Data were collected using learning achievement tests administered before the treatment (pretest) and after the treatment (posttest). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The findings revealed that the mean pretest score of 59.29 increased to 80.71 in the posttest. The normality test indicated that both pretest and posttest data were not normally distributed, with significance values of 0.006 and 0.029, respectively. Therefore, hypothesis testing was conducted using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, which produced an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 (<0.05). These results indicate that the Poster Comment method has a significant effect on the learning effectiveness of Package B learners at PKBM Laskar Pelangi. The findings suggest that the Poster Comment method can serve as an effective instructional alternative to improve learning outcomes while promoting active participation in non-formal education.
