Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of students' learning motivation in Integrated Science and Social Studies (IPAS), which is caused by teacher-centered learning practices and the limited use of technology in the learning process. One alternative approach to address this issue is the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model integrated with Gemini AI as a learning support tool. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning model oriented toward Gemini AI on the learning motivation of fifth-grade students in IPAS at SD Negeri 2 Nusasari, Jembrana Regency. This research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population as well as the sample consisted of all fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Nusasari. Data were collected using a learning motivation questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the normality test, and hypothesis testing through the Paired Sample t-Test. The results showed that students' learning motivation increased after the implementation of the Project Based Learning model oriented toward Gemini AI. The Paired Sample t-Test produced a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating that the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning model oriented toward Gemini AI has a significant effect on the learning motivation of fifth-grade students in IPAS at SD Negeri 2 Nusasari, Jembrana Regency. The implementation of this learning model creates a more active, interactive, collaborative, and meaningful learning environment, thereby enhancing students' engagement and learning motivation.

Abstract

The virtual community in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile provides a platform for players to communicate and build social relationships. However, female players continue to experience gender stigma in the form of stereotypes, derogatory comments about their gaming abilities, and verbal harassment. These experiences encourage female players to develop resilience in order to remain active within the community. This study aims to examine how female players develop resilience in facing gender stigma in the PUBG Mobile virtual community. This study employed a qualitative approach using virtual ethnography. Female informants were selected through purposive sampling, consisting of players who had experienced gender stigma, had been actively playing PUBG Mobile for at least one year, and had achieved a minimum rank of Ace Dominator. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, virtual observation, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The analysis was guided by Buzzanell's Communication Theory of Resilience (CTR). The findings indicate that the informants experienced gender stigma in the form of assumptions that female players have lower gaming abilities, are a burden to the team, and are frequently subjected to derogatory comments and verbal harassment, particularly after their gender identity became known through voice chat. Despite these experiences, the informants demonstrated resilience through the five dimensions of the Communication Theory of Resilience, crafting normalcy, affirming identity anchors, maintaining and using communication networks, alternative logics, and foregrounding productive action while downplaying negative feelings. This study concludes that female players' resilience is developed through the process of confronting, enduring, adapting to, and recovering from gender stigma while remaining actively involved in the PUBG Mobile virtual community.

Abstract

Personal hygiene in food handlers is the key to success in safe and healthy food processing. One of the factors that influence personal hygiene practices of food handlers is the level of knowledge and attitude. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitude with Personal Hygiene Behavior of Food Handlers at the Food Stall in Sadang Village, Tuban. This study is a quantitative study with 31 respondents. Data were collected using instruments of knowledge questions, attitude questions and observation sheets that have been validated by experts. Data analysis used the chi-square test in SPSS software version 22 to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitude with personal hygiene of food handlers. The results of this study indicate that there is no relationship between the level of knowledge (p-value 0.272) with personal hygiene practices and there is a relationship between attitude (p-value 0.000) with personal hygiene practices. Therefore, further research is expected to have more valid and structured initial observation data so that the results of the study can describe field conditions more accurately.

Abstract

Optimizing Qur'anic memorization targets requires effective self-management, well-organized tahfidz program management, and positive psychological well-being. This study aims to examine how self-management and tahfidz program management optimize Qur'anic memorization targets and promote the psychological well-being of students at PPIQ Al-Hasyimiyah, Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School, Paiton, Probolinggo. This study employed a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. Data trustworthiness was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the optimization of Qur'anic memorization targets is supported by three interrelated aspects: self-management, including time management, priority setting, self-evaluation, consistent muraja'ah, self-control, and learning motivation; tahfidz program management through musyrifah supervision, memorization evaluation, and structured scheduling; and psychological well-being, reflected in self-acceptance, self-confidence, learning motivation, positive social relationships, stress management, and satisfaction with memorization progress. The study proposes a conceptual model demonstrating that the synergy between students' self-management, effective tahfidz program management, and positive psychological well-being contributes to optimizing Qur'anic memorization targets.

Abstract

Research quality is largely determined by the quality of the research instruments used to collect data. In practice, many novice researchers and students construct instruments carelessly, merely copying templates without adapting them to their research variables, and often skip the try-out stage. This condition is reflected in a 2024 Populix survey of 2,793 final-year Indonesian students, in which 45% admitted to manipulating thesis data. This article aims to examine the definition, types, systematic steps of construction, and testing procedures of research instruments through validity and reliability tests. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through library research, collecting data from research methodology books and national and international journal articles on research instruments, validity, and reliability published between 2011 and 2024, analyzed through content analysis. The results show that research instruments are divided into two major types: quantitative instruments (questionnaires, measurement scales, and tests) and qualitative instruments (the researcher as the main instrument, supported by interview guides, observation guides, and documentation guides). The construction of a good instrument follows five systematic steps: defining variables, formulating indicators, developing a blueprint, writing items, and validating content through expert judgment. Furthermore, the feasibility of an instrument must be confirmed through validity testing (content, construct, and empirical validity) and reliability testing (Cronbach's Alpha, KR-20, and KR-21). This article is expected to serve as a practical guide for novice researchers in constructing valid and reliable research instruments

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at Elementary School 24 Parupuk Tabing, Padang City, in the IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) subject. Issues included the teacher dominating the instructional process, limited student engagement, and the majority of students failing to meet the established learning objective criteria. To improve IPAS learning outcomes, the Discovery Learning model was implemented using a classroom action research design and a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative and quantitative techniques. The study was conducted over two cycles: two sessions in Cycle I and one session in Cycle II. Each cycle comprised four stages: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection (serving as the basis for improvement). Data collection involved both test and non-test instruments. The study sample consisted of the class teacher and 29 fifth-grade students from Elementary School 24 Parupuk Tabing, Padang City. Implementing the Discovery Learning model resulted in improved quality of the teaching-learning process and student learning outcomes. By Cycle II, the score for the In-depth Learning Design (RPM) rose from 91.25% to 97.50%. The quality of the teaching-learning implementation—involving both the teacher and student participation—also saw an increase from 85.93% to 96.87%. Furthermore, the average student learning outcome score rose from 76.54 in Cycle I to 89.31 in Cycle II. Based on these results, it is concluded that the Discovery Learning model is highly effective for enhancing the quality of IPAS instruction and improving the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at Elementary School 24 Parupuk Tabing, Padang City
