Abstract

Learning interest is one of the essential factors influencing the success of the learning process, particularly in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK). A high level of learning interest encourages students to participate actively in learning activities, enhances learning motivation, and supports the achievement of optimal learning outcomes. This study aimed to analyze the internal and external factors influencing the learning interest of Class X TKJ 1 students in PJOK learning at SMK Negeri 3 Selong. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach. The population consisted of 36 students of Class X TKJ 1 at SMK Negeri 3 Selong, while the sample comprised 26 students selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through a Google Forms-based questionnaire developed according to indicators of internal and external factors affecting students' learning interest. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean scores, percentages, and category analysis. The findings revealed that students' learning interest in PJOK was in the high category. The most dominant internal factor was students' interest in sports activities, with a mean score of 4.50, while the most dominant external factor was the teacher's teaching method, particularly the teacher's ability to provide equal opportunities for all students to participate actively in the learning process, with a mean score of 4.62. These findings indicate that effective teaching methods, peer support, a conducive learning environment, and students' interest in sports activities play significant roles in enhancing students' learning interest in PJOK. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for teachers and schools in developing more effective, innovative, engaging, and student-centered learning strategies.

Abstract

Abstract

Work culture is an important aspect in creating an organizational environment that not only supports the achievement of organizational goals but also promotes employees’ mental health. This study was motivated by the phenomenon observed at CV. Bintang Mandiri Bandung, where employees demonstrate strong loyalty, harmonious working relationships, and relatively positive psychological conditions despite high operational demands. This study aims to describe the process through which work culture is formed through social interaction, analyze how employees interpret work culture in relation to the strengthening of mental health, and examine its implications for Islamic Guidance and Counseling. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with 14 purposively selected informants, and documentation. Data were analyzed through organization, reduction, presentation, and interpretation processes, supported by source and technique triangulation. The analysis employed George Herbert Mead’s Symbolic Interaction Theory, Edgar H. Schein’s Organizational Culture Theory, the concept of Workplace Mental Health, and the perspective of Islamic Guidance and Counseling. The findings indicate that work culture is formed through continuous social interactions between leaders and employees through role modeling, open communication, briefings, evaluations, positive behavioral habituation, spiritual activities, and interpersonal relationships. These processes foster shared meanings that develop into organizational values, practices, and collective identity. Employees perceive work culture as a source of psychological safety, social support, psychological well-being, psychological resilience, a sense of belonging, and meaningful work, reinforced by spiritual practices. From the perspective of Islamic Guidance and Counseling, work culture performs developmental, preventive, preservative, and curative functions through guidance processes that occur naturally within organizational life. This study contributes a conceptual framework demonstrating that work culture can function as a guidance ecosystem integrating organizational culture, mental health, and Islamic values, resulting in the S.H.O.L.E.H. Work Culture Guidance Model as a development of Islamic Guidance and Counseling in the workplace setting.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the cloze technique in democratic learning to foster democratic mindsets among Phase B elementary school students (grades 3-4) grounded in Vygotsky's social constructivism theory. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles involving 25 third-grade students at SDN Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Data collection utilized democratic attitude observation sheets, teacher activity observation sheets, and field notes. The findings revealed a significant progressive improvement in students' democratic dispositions, with mean scores increasing from 41.2 (pre-cycle) to 65.8 (cycle I), reaching 82.4 (cycle II), with 88% of students achieving the "good" category. The cloze technique successfully facilitated students' active engagement in meaning-making processes through scaffolded discourse completion activities, promoting critical thinking, deliberation skills, and respect for diverse perspectives. This research contributes to the theoretical development of democratic pedagogy in elementary education and offers practical implications for integrating constructivist approaches in citizenship education, demonstrating that structured linguistic gaps in democratic-themed texts can serve as effective cognitive tools for constructing democratic understanding. The findings suggest that the cloze technique, when embedded within a social constructivist framework, provides a viable pedagogical strategy for cultivating democratic citizenship competencies in early childhood education.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of picture story media and role-playing method in Civics Education on early corruption prevention through building ethical awareness in elementary school students. Using a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design, this research involved 62 fourth-grade students divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through ethical awareness questionnaires and observation sheets, then analyzed using independent sample t-test and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the holistic approach combining picture stories and role-playing had a significant influence on students' ethical awareness (t-count 4.32 > t-table 2.00) with an N-Gain score of 0.68 in the medium category. The integration of visual narratives and experiential learning through role-playing enabled students to internalize anti-corruption values such as honesty, responsibility, and care for public goods more effectively compared to conventional methods. This research contributes to the development of innovative Civics Education learning models oriented toward character building and early corruption prevention in elementary schools.

Abstract

Indonesian language learning plays an important role in developing language competence and strengthening students’ character through literary appreciation. This study aims to describe the utilization of the findings from the analysis of Aurelie Moeremans’ novel Broken Strings in Indonesian language learning. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using document analysis. The data consisted of secondary data from previous studies on figurative language and psychological meanings in the novel. Data were collected through documentation and literature studies and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings show that the analysis of Broken Strings can be used as literary appreciation material to improve students’ ability to identify figurative language, interpret meanings, think critically, empathize, and reflect on human experiences. The novel also contains character values such as respect for human dignity, social awareness, rejection of violence, personal responsibility, and moral awareness. Therefore, the findings provide an alternative learning resource that integrates language competence, literary appreciation, and character development in Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by DABITUKA media on the collaboration and conceptual understanding of fourth-grade elementary school students. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research population consisted of all fourth-grade students at SDN Pringapus 01 and SDN Pringapus 02, totaling 67 students. The sample comprised 67 students, including 33 students in the experimental class at SDN Pringapus 01 and 34 students in the control class at SDN Pringapus 02. Data were collected through a conceptual understanding test and a collaboration questionnaire and were analyzed using the Independent Samples t-test and simple linear regression (ANOVA). The findings revealed a significant difference in conceptual understanding between the experimental and control groups, with a significance value of 0.008 (p < 0.05). The regression analysis also indicated that the PBL model assisted by DABITUKA media had a significant effect on students’ conceptual understanding, with a significance value of 0.018 (p < 0.05), contributing 16.8% to the improvement in conceptual understanding. Meanwhile, the regression analysis for the collaboration variable yielded a significance value of 0.813 (p > 0.05), indicating that the PBL model assisted by DABITUKA media did not have a statistically significant effect on students’ collaboration. Nevertheless, descriptive analysis showed that the average collaboration score of students in the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. Therefore, the PBL model assisted by DABITUKA media was effective in improving students’ conceptual understanding but did not demonstrate a statistically significant effect on students’ collaboration.
