Abstract

Science and social science (IPAS) learning on the topic of energy and its changes in elementary schools is still largely delivered verbally with minimal visual media, causing students to memorize rather than deeply understand the concept. This study aims to develop a learning medium in the form of a science comic titled “Petualangan Si Energi” and to determine its feasibility and effect on students’ understanding of energy and its changes among fifth-grade students at SDN Ragas 2. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The research subjects were 27 fifth-grade students of SDN Ragas 2 in the 2025/2026 academic year, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through expert validation questionnaires, user response questionnaires, and concept-understanding tests (pretest-posttest), then analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Paired Sample t-test, and N-Gain test. The results showed the medium was declared highly feasible, with feasibility percentages of 95% from the material expert, 96.67% from the language expert, and 100% from the media expert. The Paired Sample t-test produced a t-value of 4.087 with a significance of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference between pretest scores (mean 76.63) and posttest scores (mean 77.59). However, the N-Gain value of 0.4 fell into the low category. It can be concluded that the “Petualangan Si Energi” science comic medium is feasible and affects student learning outcomes, although the resulting improvement in concept understanding remains low and should be supported by additional instructional strategies.

Abstract

The low learning interest of eleventh-grade students in Pancasila Education at SMA Negeri 16 Padang was reflected in their limited attention, participation, and active engagement during the learning process. This condition was influenced by the predominance of lecture-based instruction and the limited use of varied learning media. This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model assisted by picture media in improving students' learning interest in Pancasila Education in Class XI F.3 of SMA Negeri 16 Padang. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach conducted during the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The research participants consisted of a Pancasila Education teacher, the vice principal for curriculum, and five students. Data were collected through observation, structured interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, including data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation. The findings revealed that the implementation of the TGT model supported by picture media was carried out through material presentation, group formation, discussion, tournaments, score awarding, and team recognition. The implementation of the model enhanced students' attention, enjoyment, active participation, initiative, and learning effort during Pancasila Education lessons. Therefore, the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model assisted by picture media was effective in improving students' learning interest. The findings imply that the TGT model supported by picture media can serve as an innovative, interactive, and student-centered learning alternative, while also providing a useful reference for teachers in improving the quality of Pancasila Education instruction

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of classroom agreements in preventing bullying at SDN 166 Ambawa, East Luwu Regency, and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting their implementation. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving the principal, teachers, and students as research participants. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, technique triangulation, and member checking. The findings reveal ed that classroom agreements were implemented through three stages: participatory formulation, consistent implementation, and regular evaluation. Their implementation reduced verbal and physical bullying, enhanced students' mutual respect, encouraged reporting of bullying incidents, and fostered a positive classroom culture. The implementation was supported by collaboration among the school, parents, teachers, and the principal, while geographical conditions, the use of local languages, and cultural diversity posed challenges. Therefore, classroom agreements can serve as an effective preventive strategy for creating a safe, inclusive, and bullying-free learning environment in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study examines the character education values contained in Qur'an Surah Luqman verses 12–19 and identifies applicable learning models that are relevant to strengthening students' moral character. The research was motivated by the increasing phenomenon of moral degradation among students in the era of globalization, which demands a character education approach based on Islamic values derived from the Qur'an. This study employed a qualitative approach using library research with a thematic interpretation (tafsir maudhu'i) method. Primary data were obtained from the Qur'anic verses and several authoritative tafsir references, including Tafsir Al-Misbah, Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Tafsir Al-Munir, Tafsir Jalalain, and Tafsir of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The collected data were analyzed through content analysis to identify the main character values and formulate relevant instructional models. The findings reveal seven major character education values, namely gratitude, monotheism (tawhid), filial piety (birr al-walidayn), awareness of Allah's supervision (muraqabatullah), worship combined with enjoining good and forbidding evil, patience, humility, simplicity, and politeness. These values can be integrated into Islamic Religious Education through contextual learning models such as Value Clarification Technique, Problem-Based Learning, Cooperative Learning, Project-Based Learning, Role Playing, Habituation, and Exemplary Learning. The study concludes that integrating Qur'anic character values with appropriate learning models can effectively support the development of students' moral character in both classroom learning and everyday life.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Drama Box on the narrative writing abilities of twelfth-grade students at SMAN 1 Selong. Purposive sampling was used to choose 31 students for the study, which used a quantitative pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test strategy. The Watch, Pause, and Predict method was used in four sessions of the intervention. To ensure assessment consistency, students' written work was evaluated by two raters, and inter-rater reliability testing showed an agreement level of 58.06% for the pre-test, increasing to 67.74% for the post-test. Descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk normality testing, and inferential statistics utilizing the Paired Sample t-Test and N-Gain score computation were used to examine the data gathered from writing assessments. The class mean score increased from 70,64 in the pre-test to 86,77 in the post-test, indicating a notable improvement in students' narrative writing performance. H0 was rejected as a result of the hypothesis test, which produced a t-count of -9,274 and a t-table of 2,045 at a significance level of 3,55×10ˉ10 (p < 0.05). Additionally, the N-Gain score analysis showed an average score of 0.65, which puts it in the moderate group with a 64,73% effectiveness percentage. These findings confirm that the Drama Box learning medium, combined with the Watch, Pause, and Predict technique, has a significant positive impact and serves as an effective alternative learning tool for enhancing students' narrative writing skills, despite being limited by a one-group pre-test and post-test design and a short intervention period.
