Abstract

Arabic language learning, particularly regarding listening skills (*maharah istima’*), is often perceived by students as difficult and tedious. At MA Darul Ulum Rejomulyo Magetan, the continued use of conventional paper-based assessment methods resulted in stagnant student learning outcomes, with many falling below the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). Consequently, there is a need for digital technology-based assessment innovations—such as Kahoot games—to create an interactive, enjoyable, and motivating evaluation environment. This study aims to describe the implementation of Kahoot-based assessment innovation in Arabic language learning to enhance students' listening skills at MA Darul Ulum Rejomulyo Magetan. The study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach within a naturalistic setting. Data collection was conducted through direct observation and interviews at the educational institution. By utilizing in-depth and meticulous interview and observation techniques, the researcher was able to obtain accurate data. The implementation of Kahoot as an assessment tool proved capable of rapidly increasing students' active engagement and motivation in Arabic listening activities. The use of multimedia features (music, images, and videos) in Kahoot encouraged students to examine questions closely and prevented boredom. Evaluation results from a class of 25 students showed that 20 achieved satisfactory scores (categorized as "very good"), only three scored below 60, and the remaining students demonstrated a significant upward trend compared to when printed media was used. Furthermore, the platform facilitates the analysis of answers and real-time monitoring of student scores for teachers. The innovation of using Kahoot games for Arabic language assessment proved effective and optimal, successfully dispelling the stigma that Arabic is a difficult subject. This online medium boosted student learning enthusiasm while simultaneously simplifying the evaluation process for teachers.

Abstract

The Kawasan Seribu Rumah Gadang (KSRG) in Nagari Koto Baru, South Solok Regency, is a living heritage cultural landscape of Minangkabau vernacular architecture. Despite receiving an IDR 69.8 billion physical restoration investment from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), its geospatial and narrative information management remains conventional amid fluctuating tourist arrivals. This study aims to develop an interactive WebGIS StoryMaps-based geovisualization of Rumah Gadang, analyze its spatial pattern using Nearest Neighbor Analysis (NNA), and formulate sustainable tourism development strategies based on SWOT analysis and 2023–2025 tourist trends. The research method integrates field mapping (ground truthing) of 81 Rumah Gadang units (+1 Surau Menara), door-to-door interviews, ArcGIS Online spatial processing, NNA, and SWOT analysis. The results indicate that WebGIS StoryMaps successfully integrated attribute data for 82 objects, achieving a usability score of 88.4%. The NNA across the 69.27-hectare area yielded a Nearest Neighbor Ratio (NNR) of 52.532 (, ), confirming a Dispersed spatial pattern overall and by clan (Bariang, Durian, and Tigo Lareh). Furthermore, tourist volume surged significantly from 27,392 visitors in 2023 to 122,002 in 2025. The SWOT matrix produced 8 priority strategies, including integrating StoryMaps digital promotion with homestay edutourism (SO) and accelerating the conservation of 8 severely damaged Rumah Gadang units (WO).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of teacher's attention on the intrinsic learning motivation of sixth-grade students at SDN Tebet Timur 17. The study was motivated by the low participation and enthusiasm shown by some students during the learning process, which was suspected to be related to the degree of attention given by their teachers. A quantitative approach with a correlational method was used. The population consisted of 52 sixth-grade students from two classes, all of whom served as respondents through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire covering teacher's attention (X) and students' learning motivation (Y), then analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation formula assisted by SPSS 22. The results show a Pearson correlation coefficient (r-count) of 0.636 between teacher's attention and learning motivation, which is greater than the r-table value of 0.2732 at a 5% significance level, with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.01). This indicates a positive and significant relationship in the moderate category. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.404 shows that teacher's attention accounts for 40.4% of the variance in students' learning motivation, while the remaining 59.6% is explained by other factors outside this study. It is concluded that teacher's attention has a positive and significant effect on students' intrinsic learning motivation, so that sustained and structured attention from teachers, such as guidance, positive reinforcement, and responsive feedback, is expected to further strengthen students' learning motivation

Abstract

Amid the tide of modernization that often erodes the spiritual values of the younger generation, madrasah are called to be more than institutions for transmitting religious knowledge they must become living spaces where religious character is continuously shaped, with teachers as key actors who cultivate students' habits into an enduring culture. This study aims to describe the role of teachers in building a school's religious culture and to analyze its construction process using Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann's social construction theory, combined with B. F. Skinner's behavioristic theory to explain how religious behavior is formed through habituation and reinforcement. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation, analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Creswell interactive model, with validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings show that religious culture is formed through two complementary processes: socially, it is constructed through the synergy of school principals, teachers, parents, students, and the pesantren environment via the stages of externalization, objectivation, and internalization; behaviorally, students' religious habits are shaped through repeated stimulus and reinforcement provided by teachers in practices such as communal prayer, congregational worship, istighosah, and tahlil. Teachers perform multidimensional roles as role models, motivators, mentors, facilitators, and agents of school culture, so that religious behavior first shaped through habituation develops into a culture embraced and sustained by the entire school community. This study affirms that social construction theory and behavioristic theory complement one another in explaining how religious culture is formed not as an instant outcome, but as the fruit of collective commitment and a consistent, sustained process of habituation.

Abstract

The integration of technology in education has encouraged the development of multimodal learning media that combines various forms of representation, such as text, images, audio, and interactive elements. This type of media has the potential to support elementary school reading instruction by providing more engaging and meaningful learning experiences. This study aims to analyze the use of multimodal learning media in elementary school reading instruction, including the types of media developed and their impacts on students’ reading abilities. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The data were obtained from fifteen scientific articles published in national and international journals between 2020 and 2026. The selected articles were analyzed based on research characteristics, media types, research methods, and main findings. The results indicate that the most commonly used multimodal learning media include interactive e-books, digital storytelling, interactive multimedia, digital storybooks, digital picture books, and digital audio storybooks. The implementation of these media positively contributes to students’ reading literacy, reading comprehension, learning motivation, engagement, and critical thinking skills. However, studies specifically focusing on the development of multimodal media to improve critical reading skills remain limited. Therefore, the development of story-based multimodal media provides an opportunity to support more interactive reading instruction and foster higher-order thinking skills among elementary school students.

Abstract

The preservation of Pancasila values is essential in shaping national character amid the challenges of globalization and shifts in the mindset of the younger generation. Schools play a strategic role in instilling these values, one of which is through extracurricular activities. Objective: This study aims to examine the school's efforts to preserve Pancasila values through extracurricular programs, the implementation of Pancasila values by students, and the obstacles faced by the school in integrating these values at MIN 13 Aceh Timur. Methods: This research applied a qualitative descriptive approach at MIN 13 Aceh Timur from November 1, 2024, to July 1, 2025. Research informants consisted of the principal, teacher advisors, and students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed using data reduction, data display, and verification. Results: The findings indicate that the school integrates Pancasila values into Scouting (Pramuka), junior doctors (dokter kecil), sports, dance arts, and religious activities. These activities foster discipline, responsibility, cooperation, social concern, tolerance, and religiosity among students. Teachers serve as facilitators in shaping students' moral, social, and spiritual attitudes. Pancasila values are reflected in students' independence, discipline, mutual cooperation (gotong royong), and respect for differences. The obstacles faced by the school include limited teacher competence, scheduling constraints, diverse student characters, external environmental influences, and limited supporting facilities for extracurricular activities.
