Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

This study was conducted with the aim of examining the influence of leadership and work motivation on the performance of employees in Nagari Sungai Duo, within the Nagari Statistik program in Dharmasraya Regency. The success of Nagari Statistik, which has become a digital-based one-data nagari, has made it easier for local governments to monitor and decide on policies to be implemented. This success would not have been possible without thorough planning and employee cohesion in supporting the innovation program. Therefore, leadership and motivation are crucial in improving employee performance. This research is based on the indicators of thought from A. Maslow, which focus on Leadership and Work Motivation in relation to Employee Performance. The research findings indicate that there is a strong influence between leadership and motivation on the performance of employees in Nagari Sungai Duo. This can be seen from the 32 respondents who participated as informants, showing their agreement with the statement that leadership and motivation have an impact on performance results. This is further supported by the fact that all variables of leadership and work motivation were found to be valid and reliable in relation to employee performance. Leadership had a t-value of 2.096, and Motivation had a t-value of 2.235 in relation to employee performance in the nagari apparatus. However, the researcher also observed that it is not only leadership and motivation that have an impact, but also work facilities. Since the Nagari Statistik program’s survey implementation was carried out by cadres who directly visited the community, the researcher believes that the available work facilities will also affect the performance results of employees in the execution of the Nagari Statistik program in Dharmasraya Regency.

The Slum-Free City Program (KOTAKU) is a national program that aims to improve access to infrastructure and basic services in urban slums. This research was conducted in Naga Pita Village, Siantar Martoba District, which is also one of the areas implementing the KOTAKU program in Pematangsiantar City. The purpose of this study was to determine and provide an overview of the Implementation of the KOTAKU Program and identify inhibiting factors in implementing the KOTAKU Program. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methodology. The focus of the study is based on the theory of Van Meter and Van Horn which includes policy standards and objectives, resources, organizational linkages, characteristics of implementers, socio-economic situations, and attitudes. The informants of this study were the Head of the Naga Pita Village, Village Section, KOTAKU Members, and local residents. Data collection techniques used were recording, interviews, and observations. The results of the study indicate that the KOTAKU Program is being implemented in Naga Pita Village, Siantar Martoba District, Pematangsiantar City. Related to: (a) road maintenance, the government has carried out road repairs well through the KOTAKU program; and (b) factors that influence the implementation of the KOTAKU program, such as public awareness and interest in the Slum-Free City initiative.

The increasingly rapid development of information technology in the current era of globalization cannot be avoided anymore its influence on the world of education. Global demands require the world of education to always adapt technological developments of efforts to improve the quality of education. This study aims to determine the efferctiveness of the use of digital technology through the canva application in increasing the motivation to learn science in fifth grade students of SDN 61 Karara Bima City. This research is a classroom action research of the classroom assessment. The instruments used to collect data are observation sheets for the implementation of learning (teacher activities), observation sheets for student activities, student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests in each cycle. The data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis is used to determine student learning outcomes while qualitative analysis is used to deremine the results od student activity observations. The results of the study showed that learning using digital technology based media through the canva application can increase the learning motivation of fifth grade students of state elementary school 61 Karara Bima City. This can be seen from the fifth grade students of state elementary school 61 Karara Bima City in cycle one of 63,64 % and in cycle two the average student leraning outcomes increased to 90,90 %. Students activity in the learning process also increased, although based on the students activity sheet in cycle one several obstacles were still felt cycle two showet significant improvement.

The advancement of digital technology has led to a significant increase in online game usage among elementary school children. While gaming may offer certain cognitive and emotional benefits, excessive use poses a risk of addiction, which can negatively impact children's academic, social, and psychological well-being. This study aims to examine the role of peer social support and loneliness in predicting online gaming addiction among elementary school students. Employing a quantitative approach with a causal-comparative method, the study involved 62 students from grades IV to VI in Bekasi Regency and Municipality, selected through random sampling based on criteria for online gaming addiction. Data were collected using three psychological scales, each validated and tested for reliability. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression, preceded by classical assumption tests. The results revealed that neither peer social support nor loneliness, whether individually or jointly, significantly predicted online gaming addiction. These findings suggest that online gaming addiction in elementary-aged children cannot be explained solely by psychosocial factors, but must also consider other elements such as parental supervision, self-control, and game design features. The study highlights the need for more comprehensive and context-based intervention strategies tailored to children's environments.

The low level of disaster preparedness among elementary school students, particularly in dealing with floods, is caused by the absence of structured disaster education tailored to the characteristic of students. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Disaster Preparedness Education program in improving student preparedness at SD Negeri 1 Doyong. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the use of a gradual learning strategy-consisting of disaster socialization and disaster simulation aligns with the concrete operational stage of Jean Piaget’s cognitive theory and is effective in enhancing student’s cognitive understanding of flood preparedness steps. The implementation of the program applied an interactive approach, which increased student enthusiasm. However, several obstacles were encountered that affected the program;s overall effectiveness. Therefore, further actions are needed to strengthen disaster education, such as periodic training.

Early reading is a very important basic skill for elementary school students, especially in the lower grades. Students often face difficulties in developing their reading skills. This article aims to identify the problems of early reading skills and the factors that influence them. The research method used is a qualitative method using case studies and a descriptive approach. The results of the study explain that the main problems in early reading include difficulty in recognizing letters, lack of understanding of the meaning of reading, and low interest in reading. Factors that play a role and influence include ineffective learning methods, a less supportive reading environment, and differences in cognitive abilities of each student. Educators are expected to be able to develop more effective learning strategies to improve students' reading skills.

This study aims to explain the problems of Indonesian language in terms of writing skills in elementary school students. More specifically, the purpose of this study is to describe the writing skills of students, to find out the problems of writing skills in elementary schools, and solutions to improve writing skills. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with the type of case study.The subjects in this study were 28 fourth grade students and 1 homeroom teacher of SDN 1 Sendangrejo, Baturetno District, Wonogiri Regency. The instruments used in this study were observation, interviews, and student writing skills tests. The analysis techniques used were qualitative and quantitative. The results of the study showed that the writing skills of some students at SDN 1 Sendangrejo were still low. The results of the study showed that the problems of writing skills were influenced by several factors including lack of interest and motivation, limited vocabulary, spelling and punctuation problems, difficulty in structuring texts, minimal writing practice.

The purpose of this study was to determine how much factors influence students' interest in participating in extracurricular volleyball at SDN Roja 1, Rukun Lima Village, South Ende District, Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. This study is a descriptive study using a survey method. The subjects of the study were students who participated in extracurricular volleyball at SDN Roja 1 as many as 39 children. The instrument used was a questionnaire, with a reliability coefficient of 0.953 and to analyze the data, quantitative descriptive statistics were used with percentages. The results of the study showed that students' interest in participating in volleyball extracurricular activities at SDN Roja 1, Rukun Lima Village, South Ende District, Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. Most of them were in the low category of 56.40%, followed by the high category of 35.9%, then the very high category of 5.10%, and the very low category of 2.6%. So it can be concluded that students' interest in participating in volleyball extracurricular activities at SDN Roja 1 was mostly in the low category.

This study discusses the problems experienced by third-grade elementary school students in writing sentences, particularly in the use of capital letters and punctuation marks. Writing skills are an essential part of mastering the Indonesian language, yet many students still make fundamental errors that hinder their ability to construct sentences correctly and according to language rules. The aim of this study is to identify the most common types of errors made by students and the factors that contribute to these errors. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including observation, document analysis of students’ written work, and interviews with classroom teachers. The results show that most students struggle with using capital letters at the beginning of sentences, in writing names of people and places, and often misuse punctuation marks such as periods, commas, question marks, and exlamation marks. The main contributing factors include a lack of understanding of the Enhanced Spelling System (EYD), limited structured writing practice, and teaching methods that do not sufficiently emphasize mechanical aspects of writing. This study recommends the implementation of more contextual and interactive learning approaches to help students better understand and consistently apply correct usage of capital letters and punctuation in their writing. With a solid understanding of linguistic rules, students’ writing skills are expected to improve significantly.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana mengembangkan instrumen penilaian menggunakan quizizz pada tema lingkungan sahabat kita subtema manusia dan lingkungan di kelas V SDN Cipambuan Kabupaten Bogor, serta mengetahui kelayakan instrumen penilaian menggunakan quizizz dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Penelitian ini diawali dengan pengumpulan informasi tentang kebutuhan dan permasalahan di sekolah dasar, merancang instrumen penilaian, melakukan validasi produk kepada para ahli, melakukan revisi produk, dan setelah itu melakukan uji coba instrumen penilaian kepada peserta didik. Hasil uji kelayakan instrumen penilaian menggunakan Quizizz menunjukkan bahwa produk ini sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil angket respon validator ahli evaluasi, ahli media, ahli bahasa, dan ahli materi yang memperoleh persentase rata-rata sebesar 96,67%, begitu pula angket respon peserta didik yang memperoleh persentase rata-rata sebesar 97,8%.
