Abstract

This study aims to see and determine the effect of reading 5 minutes before studying on students' reading interest in learning Indonesian. This study uses a quantitative method, consisting of 2 variables, namely the independent variable (free variable), namely reading five minutes before studying (X) and the dependent variable (bound variable), namely students' reading interest (Y). quasi-experimental design approach or pseudo-experiment. This study will use a one group pretest and posttest design research design. Research results Based on the results of the One-Sample Test with Test Value = 0, a t value of 35.287 was obtained with a degree of freedom (df) of 47. The results of this test also showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000, which is smaller than the level of significance commonly used (α = 0.05). In addition, the Mean Difference value of 28.792 indicates a significant difference between the conditions before and after students carried out the short reading activity. The 95% Confidence Interval range for this average difference is at 27.15 to 30.43, which indicates that the difference is not only significant but also consistent, so it can be concluded that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the 5-minute reading activity before studying on increasing students' reading interest in learning Indonesian.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low interest in reading written information among grade III students. This condition often causes students to experience misunderstandings or misconceptions in understanding the contents of the material, including in the context of learning about cultural diversity. The purpose of this study is to improve students' cultural literacy through the application of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model integrated with the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach to the material "Different is Beautiful" in the Pancasila Education subject. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. The learning media used include happy notes in the form of traditional houses, regional dance flashcards, AR flashcards of traditional games, and diversity spinners. The results of the study showed an increase in students' cultural literacy achievements; in cycle I most students only achieved 2-3 indicators out of 6 indicators set, while in cycle II 95.2% of students achieved 4-6 indicators. Thus, the implementation of the local culture-based STAD model has proven effective in improving students' cultural literacy, both in terms of knowledge, reading skills, and attitudes of respecting diversity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh temuan bahwa masih sedikit sekolah menjumpai media pembelajaran program kampanye sekolah sehat bergizi, sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Aplikasi Nutriplay sebagai kampanye sekolah sehat bergizi pada siswa sekolah dasar. Dengan metode penelitian yang digunakan berupa pengembangan D&D (Design and Development) dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi Nutriplay terbukti layak dan memperoleh respon positif sebagai media pembelajaran kampanye sekolah sehat bergizi pada siswa sekolah dasar yang berimplikasi terhadap peningkatan kesadaran siswa mengenai pentingnya mengonsumsi makanan bergizi, menjauhi makanan yang tidak bergizi dan pemahaman gizi seimbang atau isi piringku.

Abstract

The Islamic Mataram Kingdom is one of the Islamic kingdoms that hasan important role in the spread of Islam on the island of Java. This research examines the spread of Islam during the Islamic Mataram Kingdom as well as its influence in the field of trade in that period and its impact until today. Through a literature study method with a quantitative approach, this research analyzes historical data and trade statistics that show the strategic role of Islamic Mataram in developing regional and international trade networks. The results reveal that the spread of Islam not only impacted religious and cultural aspects, but also strengthened Mataram's economic position through the management of commodity trade such as spices. The influence of trade during the Islamic Mataram period provided a sustainable foundation for the economic and socio-cultural development of the region until today. The findings provide important insights into the relationship between religion, politics and economics in Indonesian history

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat umum bahwa di kawasan Serdang Bedagai pernah ada sebuah kesultanan yang terkenal hingga ke Semenanjung Malaya, yaitu Kesultanan Serdang. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menambah referensi tulisan yang menunjukkan keberadaan Kesultanan Serdang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan studi pustaka, atau yang sering disebut penelitianliteratur, yang memfokuskan pada pengumpulan informasi dari berbagai sumber tulisan seperti buku, jurnal, artikel, laporan, dan dokumen lain yang berkaitan dengan topik yang diteliti. Pendekatan ini sangat efektif ketika penelitian tidak memerlukan data langsung dari lapangan, melainkan lebih kepada analisis terhadap teks atau literatur yang sudah ada. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendirian Kesultanan Serdang dimulai dari sengketa yang muncul akibat pertikaian jabatan antara putra kedua dan ketiga dari Kesultanan Deli yang terjadi sekitar tahun 1723 M, yaitu antara Tuanku Pasutan dan Tuanku Umar Johan Alamshah. Sejak awal berdirinya, Kesultanan Serdang mengalami masa kejayaan yang puncaknya terjadi pada era pemerintahan Sultan Thaf Sinar Basrshah (1817-1850), yang ditandai dengan perkembangan pesat dan aktivitas perdagangan yang ramai, sehingga kawasan Serdang menjadi makmur. Namun, kemunduran Kesultanan Serdang terjadi pada waktu pemerintahan Sultan Basyaruddin Shariful Alam Syah. Pada masa ini, banyak konflik yang terjadi di antara para pejabat daerah yang tunduk, ditambah dengan pengaruh Belanda yang muncul pada tahun 1862.

Abstract

Choosing a major in higher education is a crucial decision that can affect students’ academic processes and outcomes. This study aims to determine the influence of major selection based on student study satisfaction in the Islamic Guidance and Counseling program, second semester, at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta. This research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The sample consisted of 46 students selected using a simple random sampling technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression with the SPSS program. The results showed that most respondents chose their major based on personal interest (73.9%), while the rest (26.1%) were influenced by others. The simple linear regression test produced a significance value of 0.066 (>0.05), indicating that the selection of a major does not have a statistically significant effect on student study satisfaction. Although the direction of the relationship is positive, the selection of a major is not the sole factor determining study satisfaction. This study suggests the need to consider other factors such as learning motivation, campus environment, and social support to improve student study satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the role of youth of Karang Taruna in increasing the social awareness of the community in Tajungan Village, Kamal District, Bangkalan Regency. The background of this research rests on the phenomenon of declining social concern among rural communities, as well as the dominance of individualistic lifestyles that began to infect youth. Karang Taruna as a youth organization plays an important role in shaping character and building social awareness in the community. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation of Karang Taruna administrators, community leaders, and local residents. The results of the study show that the Tajungan Village Youth Organization has carried out various programs such as social service, environmental cleanliness activities, and informal education that have a positive impact on the growth of social concern of the community. The main supporting factors in this success are the spirit of collectivity, the support of the village government, and the awareness of the youth themselves. Meanwhile, the obstacles faced include a lack of facilities, uneven community participation, and limited budgets. The conclusion of this study is that Karang Taruna has a strategic role in building a caring and empowered village community.

Abstract

Prokrastinasi akademik merupakan fenomena psikologis yang meluas di kalangan mahasiswa di seluruh dunia, dengan sekitar 70% mahasiswa menunjukkan kecenderungan menunda tugas akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh teknik self-regulated learning terhadap pengurangan perilaku prokrastinasi pada mahasiswa UIN Malang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode eksperimen Single Subject Research (SSR) desain A-BA yang melibatkan dua mahasiswa psikologi berinisial AN dan IAH. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan intervensi journaling selama tigaminggu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua subjek awalnya memiliki tingkat prokrastinasi yang tinggi. Setelah penerapan teknik journaling self-regulated learning, kedua subjek menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan regulasi belajar dan penurunan kecenderungan prokrastinasi. Subjek AN menunjukkan peningkatan dalam penetapan tujuan dan perencanaan meskipun mengalami masalah konsistensi karena sakit, sedangkan subjek IAH menunjukkan manajemen waktu yang lebih baik dan peningkatan motivasi belajar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa teknik journaling self-regulated learning efektif meningkatkan regulasi belajar mandiri dan mengurangi perilaku prokrastinasi mahasiswa.Kata Kunci: self-regulated learning, prokrastinasi akademik, mahasiswa, intervensijournaling, single subject research.

Abstract

Learning Indonesian in higher education is an important element in shaping students' communication skills, especially in the Indonesian Language Education program. To improve the effectiveness of learning, a task-based learning approach is one solution that can optimize the language learning process. This approach encourages students to actively participate through tasks that require direct application of language skills, both in speaking, writing, reading, and listening. In addition, the output produced from the task is an important indicator in assessing the success of learning. This study aims to examine how the task approach can be implemented effectively in Indonesian language learning for Indonesian Language Education students, and how the output of the task can be used to measure students' progress and language mastery. The results of this study indicate that the task approach not only increases student engagement but also strengthens practical skills in using Indonesian in academic and professional contexts. Therefore, optimizing the task-based approach and output is a very relevant strategy to create more effective, interactive, and applicable Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce learning outcomes using letter cards and picture cards as learning media that are valid, practical, and effective for early reading. The type of research used is the effect of letter cards and picture cards as learning media. This study uses tests as instruments. The research technique used to analyze the data is the experimental research method with a quasi-true experimental design. The data analysis technique used in this study is the paired sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of using letter cards and picture cards on student learning outcomes in early reading at SD Negeri 80 Palembang in 2025, with the posttest average scores being 60% for the control class and 80% for the experimental class. The results of the hypothesis testing were obtained based on calculations, yielding a t-calculated value of 22.792 and a t-table value of 1.680. Since t-calculated = 22.792 > t-table = 1.680, this means that H_a is accepted and H_0 is rejected
