Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of footwork training on drop shot skills in extracurricular badminton activities at SMAN 2 Telukjambe Timur. The background of this research lies in the low accuracy of students’ drop shot techniques, which is suspected to be caused by poor mastery of footwork. Footwork training is a type of physical exercise designed to improve agility, body positioning, and movement coordination in badminton. Effective and efficient footwork allows players to be in the correct position when executing shots, including the drop shot. This research used a quasi-experimental method with a one- group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of all 21 students participating in the school’s badminton extracurricular program. Instruments used included a drop shot skill test and a footwork performance test, both assessed using a quantitative observational approach. Data were analyzed using the paired sample t-test to identify significant differences between pretest and posttest results. The analysis results showed a significant improvement in drop shot skills after the students were given footwork training. This finding is supported by a significance value less than 0.05. Based on these results, it can be concluded that footwork training has a positive effect on students' drop shot performance in extracurricular badminton activities. This research is expected to serve as a reference for physical education teachers and badminton coaches in designing appropriate training programs to enhance students’ technical abilities.

Abstract

The problem in this study was the less than optimal performance of teachers. This study aimed to determine the effect of conflict management on the performance of elementary school teachers in the Gugus Mawar Metro Pusat. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The sampling technique used in this study used Probability Sampling technique, namely Simple Random Sampling. The population in this study were elementary school teachers in the Mawar cluster in Metro Pusat, Metro City, totaling 78 people in the 2024/2025 academic year. Determination of the sample using the slovin formula amounted to 65 respondents. The research approach was quantitative research with the type of research using ex post facto. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression test. The results of the simple linear regression test showed that the square regression coefficient value was 0.622 and the significance value is 0.000 <0.05. The conclusion is that there was a positive and significant effect on conflict management on teacher performance.

Abstract

The method of Qur'anic instruction plays a central role in shaping students' religious literacy skills from an early age. This article aims to evaluate the effectiveness of three popular methods in Qur'an reading education: Iqra, Tilawati, and Ummi, by reviewing relevant literature. Each method offers distinct approaches and characteristics in developing students’ ability to read the Qur’an with proper tajwid and tartil. The review reveals that all three methods are effective within specific contexts: Tilawati excels in musicality and reading fluency, Iqra emphasizes speed and foundational literacy, and Ummi focuses on nurturing religious values and emotional engagement. This study suggests that selecting an appropriate method should align with the learners’ characteristics and the goals of Qur'anic instruction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Experiential Learning method in improving narrative writing skills in fourth grade students of SDN Kip Bara-Baraya 1. The problem raised in this study is the low ability of students to write interesting narrative essays. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, narrative writing tests, and documentation. This approach is carried out in 2 cycles. The results of the study show that there is an increase in students' narrative writing skills as seen from the evaluation tests of cycle I and cycle II. The results of the evaluation test of cycle 1 with a percentage of 69% and increased in cycle II with a percentage of making essays of 89.04%. Based on the evaluation results, it can be concluded that the application of the Experiential Learning method which emphasizes direct experience, reflection, and real application can improve the narrative writing skills of fourth grade students of SDN Kip Bara-Baraya 1.

Abstract

In the modern era, marked by technological advancement, evolving curricula, and increasing complexity, teachers play a crucial role in addressing educational challenges. This study discusses the importance of teacher passion and resilience in creating quality education. Intriguing passion encourages teachers to innovate and adapt. On the other hand, resilience is possible when facing pressure and educational dynamics with a positive attitude. According to a literature review and contextual observations, it was found that teachers are highly motivated and emotionally resilient, effectively creating an inspiring learning environment and demonstrating consistency in professional development. Therefore, strategies such as developing a support system that promotes psychological well-being, providing continuous training, and recognizing the role of teachers are key to realizing quality education in a changing era.

Abstract

This study provides a descriptive analysis of the level of creative thinking skills and learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in the subject of Environmental and Cultural Education of Jakarta at SDN 01 Galur. Data were obtained from two sources: creative thinking skill test results and academic achievement scores of 47 students as research subjects, as well as observation data collected through teacher-completed questionnaires to illustrate classroom learning conditions. The study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. The results showed that students’ learning outcomes were generally in the good category, with an average score of 84.77; 74.5% of students were in the moderate category, 21.3% in the high category, and 4.2% in the low category. The implementation of strategies to develop creative thinking skills by teachers was rated very good, with an average score of 4.78 on a 5-point scale. The fluency dimension received the highest score (4.92), while originality and sensitivity to problems received the lowest (4.67). Findings indicate that students with higher creative thinking skills tend to achieve better academic outcomes. The study concludes that while the application of creative thinking skills supports student learning outcomes, further enhancement is needed in the areas of originality and sensitivity to problems.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difficulties of students in learning to read in the Indonesian Language subject of grade I students of SD Negeri 33 Lubuklinggau and to find out the solutions of students who experience difficulties in learning to read in the Indonesian Language subject of grade I students of SD Negeri 33 Lubuklinggau. The subjects of the study were grade I students of SD Negeri 33 Lubuklinggau with a total of 20 students. The type of research used is descriptive research using a qualitative approach with data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, questionnaires and reading tests. The data analysis technique used in this study is qualitative. The results of this study indicate that there are difficulties in students learning to read such as difficulties in recognizing letters, difficulties in distinguishing letters, difficulties in spelling, reading books too close to the eyes and lack of memory when reading. The solution to overcome difficulties in learning to read can be concluded as follows: By providing support such as the habit of reading after writing, paying attention and providing motivation to students, providing additional hours and free time and teachers must also provide an approach, guide and create a comfortable atmosphere, communicate with parents of students, teachers use learning media, teachers never blame students for the conditions they experience and provide special remedial reading programs.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of problems in learning activities, the lack of student involvement in the learning process, teachers only use school printed books as learning resources, and the lack of use of varied learning media. This study aims is to develop Lapbook media that can be used in learning activities on the material of changes in energy forms subject. The research conducted by development research using the R&D (Research and Development) method using the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This development received an assessment from the validator regarding the feasibility, including: media validation received 95% with the criteria of "very feasible", material validation received 85% with the criteria of "very feasible", and language validation received 92% with the criteria of "very feasible". The response of students to the lapbook learning media that had been developed in small groups received 95% with the criteria of "very interesting", while in the field trial received 97% with the criteria of "very interesting". The assessment of educators' responses related to the lapbook learning media received 96% with the criteria of "very practical". The results of the effectiveness test showed 90% with the criteria of "very effective". Thus, it can be concluded that the Lapbook Learning Media for the Science Subject of Energy Changes in Class IV of SD Negeri 2 Rawa Laut is very feasible, very interesting, very practical, and very effective to be used in learning activities.

Abstract

The research that will be studied is to see the improvement of elementary school students' scientific literacy skills, the importance of scientific literacy and the challenges in its development at the elementary school level, various approaches and innovative learning models continue to be explored. One of the learning models that is considered potential to facilitate scientific literacy skills is Project Based Learning (PjBL). PJBL is a student-centered learning approach, where students work collaboratively on real projects that are relevant to their lives. Through PjBL, students have the opportunity to conduct in-depth investigations, design solutions, collect and analyze data, and communicate their formulations. This process directly trains various aspects of scientific literacy, from formulating scientific questions to evaluating information and drawing conclusions based on evidence. This study aims to analyze the scientific literacy skills of elementary school students by implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. This study used research subjects were students of SDN 07 Sebalo, there were 20 students who took part in science learning, data was collected using a quantitative descriptive approach to the test instrument. The test instrument was used to measure the scientific literacy skills of elementary school students, the data analysis technique used descriptive statistics. The results of the study stated that students' scientific literacy skills increased by using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, with 2 cycle stages, from the collection of data analysis, the average student test score reached 73.5. The implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model has a very significant impact on the development of elementary school students' literacy skills. This Project Based Learning

Abstract

This study focuses on efforts to improve student activeness in learning the Natural Sciences subject, specifically the metamorphosis material, through the implementation of an artificial intelligence-based learning application called QuizWhizzer. The research was conducted in the fourth grade at SDN Telang 1 using a descriptive qualitative method. All 23 fourth-grade students were the subjects of the study. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and Google Form questionnaires. The results showed that the use of QuizWhizzer significantly increased student activeness in learning. As many as 91% of students expressed interest, 100% showed full concentration, and 96% felt comfortable using the application. The use of QuizWhizzer proved to create interactive, enjoyable, and flexible learning. Besides enhancing understanding of the material, this application also encouraged competitive motivation and social interaction among students. Although there were challenges such as limited facilities and internet access, the implementation of this application still demonstrated high effectiveness in increasing learning activeness. QuizWhizzer helped students understand the material independently and provided immediate feedback on their answers. This study recommends the use of interactive digital media to support the learning process at the elementary school level.
