Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ epistemological obstacles in solving problems related to systems of linear equations in three variables. This is a qualitative study conducted at MA Negeri 02 Tulang Bawang Barat involving 27 tenth-grade students, with three students selected as research subjects representing high, sedang, and low levels of mathematical problem-solving ability. The triangulation used in this research includes both source and technique triangulation. Data collection techniques consisted of tests, interviews, and documentation. Interview sources included both students and teachers. The results show that most students experienced various obstacles, including difficulties in understanding the symbolic meaning of variables, errors in applying the substitution and elimination methods, and limitations in interpreting solution results. These obstacles generally stem from an incomplete understanding of basic algebraic concepts and the interrelationships between equations in the system. These findings have important implications for the development of instructional strategies that emphasize strengthening conceptual understanding and students' mathematical thinking processes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the assessment practices and efforts to develop students' critical thinking skills at SDN 76/1 Sungai Buluh. Based on an interview with the fifth-grade homeroom teacher, it was revealed that critical thinking is assessed through the observation of students’ responses during classroom activities, without the use of specific tasks or assessment instruments. The teacher believes that critical thinking can be nurtured through various learning activities, including discussions and problem-solving. Despite noticeable differences in the development of critical thinking between active and passive students, the teacher provides individualized support and positive feedback to assist those who struggle. The observed indicators of critical thinking include the ability to analyze, evaluate, and interpret information. As an alternative learning strategy, the Team Quiz model is introduced as a collaborative approach that promotes active student involvement in constructing and answering inter-group quizzes. This model is considered to be a promising method for increasing student engagement and enhancing critical thinking skills in elementary education.

Abstract

This study highlights the importance of digital literacy and awareness of cybersecurity in 21st-century education, particularly at the high school level. It aims to examine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on students' learning outcomes regarding password management and two-factor authentication. The research employs a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design, involving 10th-grade students at SMAN 7 Malang as the subjects. The research instruments include learning outcome tests and student activity observation sheets. The results indicate that the application of PBL significantly impacts students' learning outcomes, as evidenced by the statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. In addition to promoting active student engagement, this model proves effective in fostering conceptual understanding and critical awareness of digital security issues. These findings suggest that prospective teachers possess strong pedagogical and digital literacy competencies and are capable of designing innovative, contextual learning. Consequently, this research reflects the leadership of future educators in providing solutions for learning based on the needs of the times and supporting the achievement of Indonesia’s Vision 2045.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effectiveness of using Seek by iNaturalist media on the learning outcomes of students at SDN Pacar kembang 1. This study uses a quantitative research method of the pre-experimental type with a one-group pre-test post-test design, with an acquisition test using the N-Gain (Normalized Gain) test using SPPS 20. Based on the results of the study, it was identified that there was an increase in understanding of student learning outcomes in learning through AI- Based Seek by inaturalist media, using the criteria of table 2, namely the average value obtained in the N-Gain percent test, which is 60, which means that if N-Gain percent gets a value of 56-75. So it can be concluded that there is effectiveness of AI-based Seek by iNaturalist media in the interpretation of "Quite effective", this is still not said to be "Effective" because of factors such as the results of the questionnaire that 53% of students still do not use AI-based media very often.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research was conducted as a solution to apply a learning model proven effective in improving Informatics learning outcomes through the implementation of the Windows Shopping learning model. The research was divided into two cycles and carried out in class VIII C of SMP Negeri 7 Malang, involving 32 students. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected using observation, tests, and documentation techniques. The data were then analyzed quantitatively using descriptive statistics by calculating the N-gain score. The results of this classroom action research show an improvement in student learning outcomes in each cycle. In the first cycle, the average pretest score increased from 54.06 to 73.75 in the posttest, with an average N-gain of 0.43 (medium category). In the second cycle, the average pretest score rose from 63.28 to 87.81 in the posttest, with an average N-gain of 0.67 (medium to high category). The implementation of the Windows Shopping model improved conceptual understanding, active engagement, and collaboration among students. These findings indicate that the Windows Shopping learning model is effective and has a positive impact on project-based Informatics learning in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to examine the effectiveness of implementing the Team Game Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model integrated with the Quizizz game-based platform in enhancing students’ learning motivation and achievement. The research subjects consisted of 24 students from Class VII H at SMP Negeri 7 Malang. One of the key elements in the implementation of the TGT model is the reward system, which is believed to increase students' interest and motivation to positively engage in competition. With the support of Quizizz as a learning medium, students were encouraged to develop a sense of responsibility in answering questions, both individually and collaboratively. This study employed a quantitative experimental approach using a pre-test and post-test control group design. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collected included students’ learning activity and motivation. Learning activity was measured using an observation sheet on instructional implementation, assessed by a single observer. Meanwhile, learning motivation was measured using a questionnaire comprising 20 items, covering indicators such as attention, relevance, satisfaction, and confidence. The data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study indicate that: 1.In Cycle I, students appeared less active and showed little initiative in taking notes on key points of the material. However, in Cycle II, students demonstrated increased engagement, actively responded to questions from the teacher and peers, and showed willingness to ask questions. 2. Students' learning motivation also improved: in Cycle I, 60% of students were categorized as highly motivated, 6.66% as moderately motivated, and 33% as poorly motivated. In Cycle II, 90% of students fell into the highly motivated category, while 10% were moderately motivated. These findings indicate that the application of the TGT learning model supported by the Quizizz platform is effective in enhancing students' classroom activity and learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' interest and learning outcomes in Informatics subjects through the implementation of project-based learning with Blockly and Google Sites. The subjects of the study were students of class VIID of SMP Negeri 7 Malang. The research method used was classroom action research (CAR) with two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of project-based learning through Blockly and Google Sites can improve students' interest in learning, as indicated by an increase in active participation, enthusiasm, and motivation of students during the learning process. In addition, student learning outcomes also showed a significant increase, marked by an increase in the average final test score in each cycle. This study is based on constructivism theory, which highlights the importance of students' roles in the educational process, as well as previous research that has shown the effectiveness of project-based learning methods in improving students' skills and understanding. Therefore, the use of project-based learning methods involving technology such as Blockly and Google Sites can be considered an effective alternative to improve the quality of education in Informatics.

Abstract

This study explores the critical role of academic administration services in enhancing student satisfaction within the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Religious Studies at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Through a qualitative approach, the study examines various administrative practices, including student support systems, communication channels, and feedback mechanisms. By analyzing student perceptions and experiences, the research identifies key factors that contribute to their overall satisfaction and academic success. We delve into the pivotal role that efficient academic administration plays in elevating student satisfaction. By examining the intricate relationship between high-quality administrative services and positive educational outcomes, our research aims to identify specific indicators of excellent service, such as reliability, responsiveness, and empathy that significantly contribute to an enriching learning experience. Through a qualitative methods involving surveys, interviews, and focus groups among faculty members and students, we uncover compelling evidence demonstrating how robust administrative support directly impacts student engagement and overall contentment. Our analysis reveals critical areas requiring attention, such as communication gaps and delayed responses, which if addressed effectively could transform the academic landscape. Ultimately, our recommendations emphasize the necessity of ongoing training initiatives for administrative personnel coupled with strategic improvements aimed at bolstering trust and fostering a more conducive scholarly atmosphere. This investigation underscores the profound significance of meticulous academic governance in shaping superior educational environments tailored specifically towards meeting diverse student needs.

Abstract

This project aims to increase student engagement and understanding of informatics subjects at SMPN 7 Malang by using the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model with interactive media. Thirty eighth grade students participated in two cycles of Classroom Action Research (PTK). Interest questionnaires and comprehension tests (pre-test and post-test) were used to collect data. Compared to Cycle 1, when the N-Gain was 0.38 (medium), Cycle 2 had an N-Gain of 0.62 (high), and the learning completeness increased from 51.85% to 92.59%. Even the level of interest in learning increased, from a moderately high 80.46% to a very high 92.22%. These results show that when TGT is combined with interactive media, it can provide interesting and relevant learning. One of the pedagogical consequences is the need to provide training to teachers on how to develop collaborative learning experiences involving technology.

Abstract

Emotional intelligence is important for the social and academic development of elementary school students, but there are still students who lack empathy and self-confidence. This study aims to determine how group guidance with group discussion techniques can improve students' emotional intelligence. The study was conducted qualitatively with a descriptive approach at SDN Rawamangun 05 East Jakarta, with the subjects being homeroom teachers and class V C students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The results of the study showed an increase in the aspects of empathy, cooperation, emotional control, and self-confidence of students after participating in group discussion activities. The conclusion shows that group guidance with group discussion techniques is successful in improving the emotional intelligence of elementary school students. However, it is necessary to develop variations in methods in group discussions to increase the sustainability of the program's impact.
