Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

This study explores the strategic planning of the curriculum at MIS Pamoyanan in enhancing students’ literacy competence. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method, data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and literature review. The results show that the curriculum planning process involved stakeholders such as school leaders, teachers, and parents, emphasizing the integration of literacy across all subjects. Although implementation efforts such as reading habits and thematic literacy have shown positive impacts—such as improved reading interest and comprehension—the lack of a formal literacy team and structured evaluation system remains a challenge. The study concludes that while the school demonstrates a strong commitment to literacy development, sustainability requires improved organization, consistent execution, and strategic use of resources. Era Society 5.0 membawa perubahan drastis dalam dunia pendidikan, termasuk pendidikan Islam yang dihadapkan pada tantangan mengintegrasikan teknologi berbasis Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan Internet of Things (IoT). Namun, hambatan seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur, kurangnya kesiapan tenaga pendidik, dan resistensi terhadap perubahan masih menjadi kendala utama. Pemikiran Nurcholish Madjid menawarkan pendekatan yang relevan, dengan menekankan pentingnya nilai-nilai inklusivitas, pluralisme, dan humanisme dalam pendidikan Islam. Perspektif ini tidak hanya mendorong penguatan moralitas dan spiritualitas tetapi juga beradaptasi terhadap kebutuhan zaman melalui inovasi berbasis teknologi. Dalam penulisan ini menggunakan Metode penelitian library research atau studi kepustakaan yang update dan relevan, adalah metode penelitian yang dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis data dari berbagai sumber literatur yang relevan. Penelitian ini juga memperhatikan pentingnya pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan Islam yang responsif terhadap tantangan Society 5.0. Kurikulum tersebut harus mampu mengintegrasikan literasi teknologi, data, dan manusia dengan nilai-nilai keislaman universal. Di sisi lain, pendidikan Islam perlu menjadi wadah pembinaan karakter yang bercirikan pada etika, moralitas dan spiritualitas dalam menghadapi dampak negatif disrupsi teknologi. Dengan pendekatan ini, pendidikan Islam diharapkan tidak hanya relevan tetapi juga mampu berkontribusi dalam menciptakan generasi yang kompeten secara global dan kokoh secara moral.

This study aims to explore the implementation of strategic educational planning in improving life skills for students with hearing impairments (Type B) at SLB Negeri Purwakarta. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the school has formulated its strategic planning based on the POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) management model. The school identifies students' needs and develops life skills programs including self-care, cooking, and handicrafts, supported by visual and experiential learning methods. Although implementation and informal evaluations have shown positive impact on students’ independence and confidence, the documentation and formal assessment systems require further development. This strategic planning model has the potential to be a reference for inclusive schools in developing adaptive, functional, and sustainable life skills education for students with special needs. Studi ini berfokus pada hasil belajar kosa kata peserta didik, penelitian dilakuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kata sederhana melalui media flash card. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 9 peserta didik yang berada di SDN 02 Singocandi Kudus di kelas I. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan berupa tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan 4 tahapan penelitian yang diggunakan berupa 1) Perencanaan , 2) Implmentasi, 3) Observasi, 4) Evaluasi. Indikator ketuntasan penelitian adalah pembelajaran memperoleh ketuntasan kalisikal >80%. Intrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa hasil belajar dan observasi selama pembelajaran dilakukan. Berdasarkan implementasi media flash card dapat dikethui peserta didik memiliki kemampuan yang tinggi terhadap materi kata sederhana, dari hasil pembelajaran diketahui jika terjadi peningkatan belajar peserta didik dari 44% meningkat menjadi 89%. Hal ini menunjuukan efektifitas media flashcard mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam materi kata sederhana.

This study aims to determine the comparison between the Merdeka Curriculum and the 2013 Curriculum on enhancing students' creativity. The research employed a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto design. The sample consisted of two classes selected through purposive sampling technique, namely class VIII A with 25 students and class IX A with 27 students. The research instrument was a validated and reliable creativity enhancement questionnaire. Data were analyzed through prerequisite tests (Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test and homogeneity significance test), followed by hypothesis testing using One-Way ANOVA. The analysis results showed a significance value of 0.017 < 0.05, with a mean score of students' creativity enhancement of 44.120. These findings indicate that there is a significant difference between the Merdeka Curriculum and the 2013 Curriculum in terms of enhancing students' creativity.

The application of the constructivist approach in the implementation of mathematics subjects at SDN 013 Long Kali still faces obstacles. The problem occurs because teachers do not understand how to plan constructivist learning approaches. The purpose of the study was to determine the application of the constructivist approach after teachers held focus group discussions with researchers and together with researchers planned learning devices with a constructivist approach. The research method is qualitative research with respondents teachers, students and principals. Determination of respondents, namely purposive sampling, is based on research objectives. Snowball sampling occurs through the involvement of participants according to respondents. The research procedure begins with researchers compiling instruments and learning devices with a constructivist approach, implementing research through interview and observation techniques. Data analysis through coding, data reduction, data display, temporary conclusions and final conclusions that occur during the interview process. The results of the study were obtained from teacher respondents who had prepared, implemented and evaluated the application of the constructivist approach. Student respondents have prepared, implemented, and produced performance in the form of a simple LKPD project related to spatial geometry mathematics, and the principal respondents have facilitated the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of the implementation of learning with a constructivist approach so that students produce simple project performance in the form of LKPD related to spatial geometry.

The problem faced in online learning is the low student engagement, which can affect their learning outcomes. Gamification, as an innovative approach, is expected to improve student motivation and participation in the online learning environment. This study aims to review the effects of gamification on student engagement, focusing on intrinsic and extrinsic motivation during online learning. The method used is a systematic review of articles relevant to this topic. The article review process involves examining studies that identify various elements of gamification, such as incentives, competition, collaboration, and formative assessment, and their impact on student engagement and motivation. The expected result of this research is to provide insights into how gamification can enhance student engagement, as well as to identify the most effective gamification elements in the context of online learning. Additionally, this study aims to offer practical recommendations for educators on how to implement gamification to improve learning effectiveness.

The main problem addressed in this study is the low learning outcomes in Civics (PKn) among students, which stem from unengaging teaching methods and limited interaction. The aim of this research is to investigate the effect of using Monopoly Education media on the Civics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 3 Batang. This study employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design. The sample consisted of 20 students. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted both descriptively and inferentially using a paired sample t-test. The results of the study indicated a significant improvement in learning outcomes after the intervention, as evidenced by the difference between pretest and posttest scores and a significance value of 0.001 (p < 0.05). Additionally, students showed increased active participation, self-confidence, and understanding of civic values. In conclusion, Monopoly Education was found to be effective in enhancing both students' Civics learning outcomes and their positive attitudes toward the subject. This study contributes to the development of innovative game-based learning media as an alternative strategy to improve the quality of civic education in elementary schools.

Speaking skills are a fundamental aspect of academic and social development in elementary school students, especially at the lower grade level. However, various internal and external obstacles—such as low self-confidence, limited Indonesian vocabulary, and the dominant use of local languages at home—hinder the optimal development of children's speaking abilities. This study aims to analyze the relationship between school-home collaboration and students’ speaking skills through a literature review. The method employed is library research with a descriptive qualitative approach, grounded in constructivist philosophy and Epstein’s theory of parental involvement. The findings reveal that speaking skills develop more effectively within an educational ecosystem that consistently supports verbal interaction both at school and at home. Harmonious educational relationships between teachers and parents—through activities such as shared reading, family discussions, and regular communication between home and school—significantly enhance children's ability to express ideas. Furthermore, culturally contextualized learning and inclusive communication strategies are key to overcoming challenges posed by the use of local mother tongues. Thus, building a synergistic school-home partnership grounded in local values is an effective strategy for fostering students’ speaking skills in a sustainable manner.

Students' critical thinking skills in Indonesian language lessons at SDN 37 Cakranegara's 4th grade have not developed optimally. Learning is still focused on textbooks, teachers have not assessed students' critical thinking abilities, and the learning model used by the teacher has not been able to improve students' critical thinking skills. This research aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning model on students' critical thinking skills and to understand the application of the Project Based Learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills. This study used an experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data collection techniques included tests (pre-test and post-test), observation, and documentation. The results show that the Project Based Learning model influences students' critical thinking skills in Indonesian language lessons for 4th graders at SDN 37. The Project Based Learning model also improves students' critical thinking skills, as indicated by an increase in each critical thinking indicator, such as providing simple explanations, building basic skills, making inferences, providing further explanations, and setting strategies and techniques.
