Abstract

Tulisan ini mengupas tentang kebijakan yang diterapkan oleh pemerintah Kolonial belanda di Indonesia serta pengaruhnya pada aspek sosial, ekonomi, politik, dan munculnya kesadaran nasionalisme. Setelah VOC jatuh, Belanda menerapkan sistem yang dikenal sebagai tanam Paksa yang hanya menguntungkan mereka dan menyehatkan penderitaan rakyat. Politik Liberal memperluas eksploitasi dengan melibatkan pihak swasta, sedangkan Politik Etis yang dianggap sebagai bentuk kebaikan tetap fokus pada kepentingan Belanda. Metode pemerintahan tidak langsung dan strategi membagi belah untuk menguasai digunakan untuk menguasai digunakan untuk menjaga dominasi mereka dengan mengadu domba masyarakat. Akan tetapi, pengalaman berkumpul yang dialami justru memunculkan kesadaran akan nasionalisme di kalangan rakyat dan kalangan terpelajar, yang mendorong lahirnya Gerakan kebangkitan nasional, Sumpah Pemuda tahun 1928, hingga perjuangan untuk meraih kemerdekaan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas kebijakan ekonomi Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie (VOC) di Nusantara pada abad ke 17 hingga 18 beserta sampaknya terhadap struktur sosial-ekonomi masyarakat. Dengan menggunakan metode sejarh (historical research) dan pendekatan studi kepustakaan, penelitian ini menelaah arsip VOC, dokumen perjanjian local, serta literature ilmiah mutakhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan ekonomi VOC berorientasi pada monopoli perdaganga rempah, kontrak politik-ekonomi dengan penguasa local, pengendalian produksi melalui sistem kerja paksa, serta penggunaan kekuatan militer. Kebijakan ini mengubah orientasi ekonomi masyarakat dari berbasis kebutuhan domestic menjadi terintegrasi dalam perdangangan global. Dampaknya adalah munculnya ketimpangan sosial-ekonomi, hilangnya kedaulatan local, serta meningkatnya eksploitasi rekyat yang kemudian berlanjut pada sistem tanam paksa (Cultuurstelsel) di era pemerintahan Hindia Belanda. Penelitian ini juga menegaskan adanya perlawanan masyarakat baik dalam bentuk perang, penyeludupan, maupun gerakan sosial sebagai respon terhada kebijakan colonial yang menindas.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas kebijakan Herman Willem Daendels, Gubernur Jenderal Hindia Belanda (1808–1811), dalam pembangunan Jalan Raya Pos Anyer–Panarukan. Jalan sepanjang ±1000 km ini dibangun sebagai strategi pertahanan menghadapi ancaman Inggris serta memperlancar komunikasi dan transportasi di Pulau Jawa. Pembangunan jalan raya ini membawa dampak positif berupa terbukanya akses mobilitas, perdagangan, dan jaringan transportasi modern. Namun, di balik itu, proyek tersebut menimbulkan penderitaan rakyat akibat penggunaan kerja paksa (rodi) yang menelan banyak korban jiwa. Artikel ini menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan menelaah berbagai sumber tertulis untuk mengkaji dampak kebijakan Daendels dari perspektif politik, militer, ekonomi, dan sosial. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan Daendels bersifat ambivalen: di satu sisi memperkuat infrastruktur dan pemerintahan kolonial, namun di sisi lain mencerminkan praktik eksploitasi yang menindas masyarakat pribumi.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) in developing critical thinking skills among high school students in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) classes. The research employed a library research method following Amir Hamzah’s stages: planning, data collection, source selection and evaluation, and narrative synthesis. Articles were retrieved from Google Scholar and Crossref with inclusion criteria of 2021–2025 publication years, focus on Kurikulum Merdeka at the senior high school/vocational level, and discussion of critical thinking in PAI. Analysis of 16 selected studies indicates that strategies such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), project-based learning (P5), constructivism, differentiation, self-instruction, and guided inquiry effectively enhance students’ abilities to interpret religious texts, evaluate arguments, and connect Islamic teachings with contemporary issues. Advantages include flexible learning, active participation, and integration of religious values with 21st-century skills, while challenges involve teacher competence, limited project time, and contextual learning resources

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by flipbook media on students’ conceptual understanding in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 07 Palembang. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design, involving class VA as the experimental group and class VB as the control group. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test using multiple-choice instruments that had been validated for validity and reliability. The experimental class was taught using the CTL model with flipbook media, while the control class received conventional learning through lectures and simple discussions. The results showed that the CTL model assisted by flipbook media had a significant effect on students’ conceptual understanding. The independent sample t-test indicated a significance value of 0.030 (< 0.05), meaning that there was a significant difference in the post-test scores between the two groups. The average post-test score of the experimental class was 94.55, while the control class only reached 60.73. Furthermore, the analysis of conceptual understanding indicators revealed that the experimental class experienced higher and more evenly distributed improvements, with some indicators achieving perfect scores. Therefore, it can be concluded that the CTL learning model assisted by flipbook media is effective in improving students’ conceptual understanding in IPAS, especially on the topic of electrical energy.

Abstract

This research was motivated by students’ low spatial ability in learning geometry, especially on polyhedra topics, and the continued use of conventional modules that lack interactive and engaging features. To address these issues, this study aims to develop a STEM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) mathematics e-module to improve students’ spatial ability. The research employed the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) with a descriptive approach. The subjects were tenth-grade students at SMAS Al Washliyah Pasar Senen Medan in the 2024/2025 academic year. Expert validation results showed that the developed e-module was highly valid, with an average score of 84.25%. The practicality level was high, as rated by teachers and students, with a score of 77.3% (practical category). Regarding effectiveness, classical mastery reached 88.1%, and students’ average spatial ability scores increased from 90.5 (small group trial) to 91.25 (field trial). The e-module effectively supported students’ understanding of spatial concepts through interactive and contextual digital learning.This study concludes that the STEM-based mathematics e-module developed is valid, practical, and effective for enhancing students’ spatial abilities. The product serves as a promising digital learning resource for 21st-century mathematics education.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of Indonesia’s economy, contributing significantly to equitable development, job creation, and overall economic growth. However, MSMEs continue to face challenges such as limited resources, low innovation, and weak marketing strategies, which lead to stagnant sales and low product value added. One effective solution is the implementation of branding strategies that enhance competitiveness and strengthen consumer perceptions of product quality. This study aims to analyze the impact of branding strategies on increasing the added value of MSME products using a qualitative approach based on literature review. Data were systematically collected from scientific journals, books, and relevant reports discussing branding strategies, innovation, and the utilization of digital technology in MSMEs. The analysis employed a descriptive-thematic and content analysis approach to identify patterns, themes, and relationships among concepts. The findings reveal that branding strategies—particularly digital branding, packaging innovation, brand identity strengthening, continuous training and mentoring, and green branding—play a significant role in enhancing brand awareness, consumer loyalty, and product value. Branding not only contributes to increased sales but also creates emotional value, product differentiation, and opportunities to access wider markets, including modern retail and international markets. Thus, branding can be regarded as a strategic instrument for MSMEs to achieve business sustainability and long-term competitiveness in the digital era.

Abstract

The level of learning activeness among Grade X students in the Online Business and Marketing program at SMK Negeri 13 Medan in the subject of Marketing Fundamentals is still conventional and passive, characterized by lecture-dominated teaching and minimal active student participation during the learning process. Therefore, it is necessary to implement a more varied model that can enhance students' learning activeness more effectively. This study aims to determine the influence of the scientific approach on the learning activeness of Grade X students in Online Business and Marketing at SMK Negeri 13 Medan.The sample used in this study consisted of 36 students, with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. Based on the paired samples t-test data analysis, the significance value (Sig) was 0.000 and the t-count was 11.717. These results show that the significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and the t-count of 11.717 > 1.690, thus it can be concluded that the first hypothesis is accepted. This means there is a significant difference resulting from the implementation of the Scientific Approach on students' learning activeness in the Marketing Fundamentals subject for Grade X Online Business and Marketing students at SMK Negeri 13 Medan. The difference in scores between the pretest and posttest was 17.22.From the Coefficientsa test results, the variable of Student Participation (X2) obtained a significance value of 0.000 and a t-count of 4.845. This indicates that Sig = 0.000 < 0.05 and t-count > t-table (4.845 > 1.690). Therefore, hypothesis H2 is accepted, and it can be concluded that Student Participation (X2) partially has a positive and significant effect on Learning Activeness (Y) of Grade X Online Business and Marketing students at SMK Negeri 13 Medan. Based on the table, the R² value is 0.408. This means that the influence of Student Participation (X2) on the variable of Learning Activeness in the Marketing Fundamentals subject for Grade X students in the Online Business and Marketing program at SMK Negeri 13 Medan is 40.8%.

Abstract

Explores the application of nonviolence in conflict management within pesantren (Islamic boarding schools), based on the interpretation (tafsir) of Fakhruddin ar-Razi, a classical Islamic scholar known for his rational and philosophical exegesis. Conflicts in pesantren may arise due to differences in opinion, leadership styles, orimbalances in interpersonal relationships. The nonviolence approach offers apeaceful, dialogical, and just method of conflict resolution, in line with Islamic values.Ar-Razi’s tafsir, particularly his interpretation of verses related to peace, justice, andhuman interaction such as Surah Al-Hujurat (49): 9–10 and Surah An-Nahl (16): 125emphasizes persuasion, wisdom-based dialogue, and the prohibition of coercionand violence. These principles align with contemporary conflict resolution theoriesand present a valuable framework for managing disputes in pesantren environmentsconstructively and ethically. This research adopts a qualitative method with a libraryresearch approach, analyzing Ar-Razi’s tafsir works alongside contemporaryliterature on conflict management in Islamic educational settings. The study aims todevelop a contextual and applicable model of conflict resolution rooted in classicalIslamic thought and the ethos of nonviolence. By integrating ar-Razi’s interpretativeinsights with modern needs, pesantren can foster a culture of peace, dialogue, andmutual respect, contributing to the sustainability of Islamic education in plural anddynamic societies.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education plays a crucial role in fostering students’ independence andcreativity, particularly among Islamic Economic Law students who are expected tounderstand both sharia principles and modern business practices. This study aims toanalyze the impact of entrepreneurship training on the development of entrepreneurialattitudes and interests among students of the Islamic Economic Law Department atSTITNU Sakinah Dharmasraya. Using a qualitative descriptive method with 18 studentsand 5 lecturers as participants from STITNU Sakinah Dharmasraya and IAKSS Bungo,data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showsignificant changes: 77.8% of students experienced positive shifts in their perception ofthe business world, 72.2% expressed increased interest in developing independentbusinesses, and 66.7% planned to start their own ventures after participating in thetraining. These findings indicate that entrepreneurship training not only enhancesstudents’ knowledge but also motivates them to apply entrepreneurial values in practice.In conclusion, entrepreneurship training effectively contributes to the development ofentrepreneurial spirit among Islamic Economic Law students, making it a strategicprogram in preparing them for future challenges in the sharia-based business sector.
