Abstract

Abstract   This study aims to conceptualize the role of digital citizenship in civic education (PKN) learning for strengthening students’ civic disposition and legal awareness. Employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive literature review design, this study analyzes relevant scholarly sources on digital citizenship, civic values, and legal awareness. The analysis focuses on identifying conceptual relationships and learning strategies that support the development of civic education in the digital era. The findings indicate that integrating digital citizenship values into PKN learning has the potential to foster responsible, ethical, tolerant, participatory, and law-abiding digital behaviours. Digital citizenship is viewed not merely as technical competence but as a moral and legal framework guiding students’ interactions in cyberspace. The proposed learning approach incorporates reflective activities, value-based discussions, case analysis, and digital citizenship projects. This study concludes that integrating digital citizenship into PKN learning provides a conceptual foundation for developing responsible citizens with strong civic values and legal awareness in the digital age.

Abstract

This study examines how academic culture contributes to the resilience of university students participating in internship programs. A quantitative survey approach was employed to analyze the relationship between academic culture and student resilience. Participants were students at Universitas Jabal Ghafur Sigli who had participated in internship activities. Data were collected through questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale, and the instruments were tested for validity and reliability before data analysis. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics. The findings indicate that academic culture positively and significantly contributes to student resilience during internship programs. A supportive academic culture, reflected through discipline, responsibility, collaboration, and commitment to learning, contributes to students’ ability to adapt, manage challenges, and maintain performance in professional environments. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening academic culture in higher education institutions as a strategy to develop students’ resilience and readiness to face workplace demands.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively examine the human resource development strategies implemented to improve educational quality at Nurul Hidayah Islamic Junior High School, Jambi City. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design, enabling the researcher to understand the phenomenon contextually. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis referred to the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings reveal that comprehensively implemented human resource development strategies, particularly those enhancing teachers' competencies, significantly contributed to improving educational quality. Although the madrasah was relatively newly established and initially faced limitations in educational personnel resources, it successfully achieved an A accreditation within a relatively short period. The implemented strategies included various professional development programs, such as Subject Teacher Consultation Forum (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran/MGMP) activities and coaching programs organized by both the foundation and the madrasah, as well as network strengthening through collaboration with various partners.

Abstract

This study examines entrepreneurship development at Al-Inayah Islamic Boarding School and its contribution to institutional income, santri learning, and community engagement. Using a qualitative case study, data were collected through interviews, observation, and document review involving pesantren leaders, business managers, santri, and community members. The findings identify six business units: Al-Inayah Tour & Travel, Taman Rimbo Tourism Park, livestock farming, Inayah Mart, laundry services, and a photo studio. These units are managed through planning, task allocation, implementation, supervision, and evaluation. Their continuity is supported by leadership commitment, assigned managers, santri participation, local resources, varied markets, and routine monitoring. The businesses broaden the pesantren’s income sources, provide practical entrepreneurial experience, and strengthen its economic links with the surrounding community. However, the available evidence does not confirm full economic independence or measurable community empowerment. The study highlights the value of integrating business management, experiential learning, and community-oriented enterprise within pesantren development.

Abstract

This study examined students’ perceptions of digital technology integration in literature learning, focusing on their interest in reading digital literature, the influence of social media, the use of digital literature applications, technology-supported learning experiences, and understanding of literature through digital content. The study employed a descriptive quantitative design using a survey approach. Data were collected through a questionnaire with 30 statements organized into five indicators, rated on a five-point response scale. The responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics to identify patterns across the measured dimensions. The findings revealed generally favorable perceptions of digital technology in literature learning. Students regarded digital content as particularly helpful in understanding literary works and reported positive experiences with technology-supported activities and social media. However, their engagement with applications specifically designed for literary reading was comparatively limited. These findings suggest that students are more familiar with general digital platforms than with specialized literature applications. Digital technology can enrich literature learning when teachers connect it with purposeful reading, discussion, interpretation, and creative-response activities. Teacher guidance, equitable access, and appropriate instructional design remain essential to ensuring meaningful and inclusive implementation.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) in the academic field at Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro, Lampung, through the PPEPP cycle: determination, implementation, evaluation, control, and improvement. Using a qualitative approach with a naturalistic phenomenological perspective, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis over six months. The findings indicate that UM Metro has developed a systematic quality assurance mechanism supported by validated instruments, online internal audits, structured quality teams, and continuous improvement practices. The Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) plays a central role in coordinating quality control across university units, faculties, and study programs. The implementation of SPMI refers to the National Higher Education Standards (SNPT) and Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) standards, reflecting the institution’s commitment to sustainable academic quality development.

Abstract

This study examined the direct effects of principals’ academic supervision and school climate on teachers’ pedagogical competence and their indirect effects through work motivation. A quantitative survey was conducted involving 152 civil servant elementary school teachers in West Pasaman Regency, Indonesia. Data were collected using validated questionnaires and analyzed through partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS. Academic supervision positively and significantly affected pedagogical competence (β = 0.469, p < .001) and work motivation (β = 0.253, p < .001). School climate also positively and significantly affected pedagogical competence (β = 0.435, p < .001) but did not significantly affect work motivation (β = 0.091, p = .294). Work motivation did not significantly affect pedagogical competence (β = 0.057, p = .422) and did not mediate either of the proposed relationships. These findings emphasize the direct importance of systematic academic supervision and a supportive school climate in strengthening teachers’ pedagogical competence.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a school ambidexterity model for elementary schools that balances organizational stability and innovation. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach adapted from Borg and Gall, the study involved 221 teachers and 43 principals in Solok Regency. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, interviews, documentation, focus group discussions, and expert validation. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively, while qualitative data were examined for recurring organizational patterns. The needs analysis produced an average score of 64.96%, indicating that ambidexterity-related practices existed but were not yet systematically integrated. The developed model comprises five interconnected components: exploration, exploitation, integration, reflection, and collaboration. Expert validation reached 96.67%, and the principal questionnaire showed high reliability (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.952). The model extends conventional ambidexterity theory by providing a contextual framework for strengthening school adaptability, collaborative learning, innovation, and sustainable organizational improvement.
