Abstract

This study explores the pastoral experience during live-in activities for Catholic Religious Education Program students and its impact on their self-efficacy as future religious teachers and pastoral practitioners. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with students involved in pastoral activities at St. Michael Elopada. The results show that students' self-efficacy increases through social support from the congregation, success in organizing and guiding pastoral activities, inspiration from community leaders who are experienced and respected figures, and belief in their potential. The live-in experience becomes a significant source of self-efficacy, boosting students' confidence in their duties as religious teachers and pastoral practitioners. This study's novelty lies in its focus on the pastoral field and using a phenomenological approach, demonstrating that social support and successful experiences can enhance self-efficacy. The contribution to the study is that social support and experiences of success can increase a person’s self-efficacy.

Abstract

This research investigates teachers’ perceptions of transitioning from Curriculum 13 to the Merdeka Curriculum in Sumba, Timor, and Flores. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, 180 respondents participated, including 70 from Sumba, 90 from Timor, and 20 from Flores. Data was collected using a Likert scale questionnaire via Google Forms, a widely accepted method for measuring attitudes and perceptions. The questionnaire was validated by experts in the field. These research findings show that teachers perceive the transition as sufficient, with variations in aspects like absorption, understanding, evaluation, and role perception. Challenges include insufficient information about the Merdeka Curriculum, impacting implementation and outcomes. The study underscores the need for proactive measures to enhance teachers’ understanding and implementation while advocating for stability in curriculum changes, contributing to educational policy discourse and teacher professional development.

Abstract

Indonesia’s energy security can be assessed using a four-pronged management approach: affordability, accessibility, availability, and acceptability. This aspect is influenced by various internal and external strategic environments, such as energy supply and demand trends, investment in supporting infrastructure development, and the impact of related and cross-sectoral policies and regulations. This study based on descriptive quantitative method with a cost-benefit analysis tool of sufficient coal supplies to coal steam power plants to meet supply quality and low-cost fuel-based electricity. Besides that, this study also uses PEST (Politics, Economy, Social, Technology) analysis to look at it from the external environment. The study used secondary data using cost-effectiveness analysis tools. In addition, Focus Group Discussion was conducted to identify variable indicators that can be used to analyze alternatives and interventions. FGD’s are also conducted to assess the recognition of each variable index. The assessment uses the Likert scale. A limitation of this study is that it is a short-term effort, so the cost-benefit analysis is limited to identifying alternatives and interventions being analyzed. The results of this study are an analysis of the economic value of coal as a fuel for steam power plants as a booster of the economy in Indonesia because it can produce a lot of strong and stable electricity with inexpensive infrastructure investment. The limitation of this research is the efficiency of alternatives in analyzing the cost benefits of coal as a fuel for steam power plants.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Work-life balance and Reward System on Turnover Intention and analyze the mediating role of Employee Engagement. This research is quantitative. The type of data used is primary data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires. The respondents of this study were millennial and Gen Z employees who worked for digital startup companies in Malang totaling 125 people. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis and PLS analysis with the help of the SmartPLS version 4 application. The results of the analysis showed that the effect of WLB, reward system, and employee engagement on turnover intention is significantly negative; and then the effect of WLB, reward system on employee engagement is significantly positive. Variable WLB and Variable reward systems have a positive and significant effect on turnover intention through employee engagement. The assumption that there is a relationship between the four variables in theoretical construction, illustrates a relationship that can explain and describe the practical application and implications for the novelty of human resource management theory in the digital and creative industries. The contribution of these findings may help management implement policies and programs that support a balanced work-life balance to improve employee well-being and productivity and decrease turnover intention.
