Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected various aspects of human life throughout the world. Since its appearance in early 2020, this virus has caused some people in the world to experience shock and disruption in various aspects of life. Apart from that, the impact of this pandemic has also greatly influenced the educational aspect where almost all countries require the teaching and learning process to be carried out online or online. This condition is very worrying and makes it possible for economically disadvantaged students to think about it Drop out from campus due to economic problems. Meanwhile, it is difficult for them to meet their daily needs, plus the internet quota costs are not cheap to participate in all the online learning activities required by the campus. Therefore, we are trying to create a service program entitled Training Life Skills for Students Affected by COVID-19 in Serang City. Development implementation methods life skills This method uses Education for Sustainable Development (EfSD). The stages of training activities provided to students affected by COVID-19 in the city start with field observations, program outreach, training & workshops, to visits carried out by students. Based on the results of this service, students in the city of Serang can make optimal use of life skills training and can carry out follow-up plans and readiness for continued assistance. Abstract

Komo mackerel fish in Fakfak Regency is abundantly available and the price is also the cheapest among other fish. So far, there has been more education on nutmeg processing compared to fish processing. Bhinneka Henggi Mas Cooperative is a cooperative engaged in marketing that sells typical Fakfak gift hands where the products sold come from Cooperative Assisted Women. However, the cooperative-assisted mother's group still lacks creativity in fish processing due to low levels of education and knowledge. Therefore, the Community Service Team provided a solution in the form of training in making Komo mackerel jerky snacks for mothers assisted by the Henggi Mas Cooperative. This community service program provides benefits for Henggi Mas Cooperative Assisted Mothers in improving soft skills and science and technology. It can also be used as additional income because this product can be of high economic value. In general, the implementation of this service program includes three stages, theory presentation, practical assistance, and training evaluation. The mackerel jerky snack formula contains fresh komo mackerel, flour, spices, and water. After receiving training, the women the Henggi Mas Cooperative assisted have the knowledge and skills to process komo mackerel fish into jerky snack products.  Keywords: Fish Jerky, Komo Mackerel Fish, Snack, Training

Abstract

Utilizing rice crackers to become a healthy food product that is highly nutritious and has marketable value, the aim of the student-entrepreneurship creativity program (PKM-K) is to raise students' motivation to become entrepreneurs in processing rice crackers into healthy food products that are nutritious and have sales value. Consuming yogurt is very useful for health, and strengthening bones and teeth, the methods for implementing this program are input, process (production), output, and evaluation. The results of this program are input, conducting market surveys to determine market conditions. Next is a feasibility study of the business that will be run. The final stage is selecting materials and providing a place as well as facilities and infrastructure to support the production process. Process (production), is the process of making rice crackers starting from preparing the ingredients and tools until the rice crackers are ready to be marketed. Output, namely the results of rice crackers that are ready to be consumed and marketed to consumers. The final one is evaluation, namely this stage is carried out when the production of rice crackers has been completed. At this stage, we will review what shortcomings make consumers dissatisfied with consuming our products. The PKM-K program concludes that the use of rice crackers in healthy food products that are highly nutritious and have marketable value can provide students with the skills to remain innovative and creative in managing healthy drinks. Abstract

Adong 1 is one of the remote villages in West Kalimantan. Children's interest in reading in Adong 1 is still relatively low due to the lack of facilities for reading. Apart from that, people's mindset towards reading is also one of the factors causing children's low reading interest. People still think that reading is not important. Parents usually focus more on their children working in the fields. Therefore, this service focuses on building reading houses and providing reading books so that children interest in reading will improve. Activities are carried out in several ways, namely 1) preparation; 2) building reading houses;3)providing books;4) and forming the commitee. The results of the activity show that building a reading house and providing reading books can increase children's interest from an early age in Adong 1.

Abstract

The development of a child-friendly tourist village in Cikole Village cannot yet be carried out optimally. The aim of this service program is to analyze the problems that occur in Cikole village in developing a child-friendly tourist village based on the microsystem level of ecological theory. The method used in this service is through focus group discussions. The data obtained were analyzed using thematic analysis based on the microsystem level of ecological theory. The results show that there are several main problems that are obstacles to the development of a child-friendly tourist village in Cikoleh Village, including the lack of a clear vision and mission, no organization capable of driving the program, lack of funding for program realization, and obstacles in mobilizing residents. Some of these obstacle points become initial data that can be used in designing further interventions. Based on analysis using ecological theory, it can be concluded that the problems faced in developing a child-friendly tourist village in Cikole Village occur at the ecological microsystem level so that intervention needs to be carried out comprehensively..

Abstract

Sustainable agriculture is an important approach to improving the welfare of farmers in Indonesia, requiring understanding and application of sustainable technologies by many farmers. The community service program titled "Optimizing Sustainable Agricultural Practices to Improve the Welfare of Coffee Farmers: A Case Study in Banyuwangi Regency," was held on January 13-14, 2024, involving 20 participants. The choice of this topic was based on the urgent need to enhance agricultural sustainability in the face of climate change and technological challenges. This activity used methods such as mapping and initial analysis of coffee farming conditions, including identifying existing practices and challenges. Primary data was collected through interviews with farmers and local government, as well as secondary data such as agricultural statistics. This data was then qualitatively analyzed to identify common patterns, challenges, and opportunities. Subsequently, workshops and training sessions for farmers on various topics related to sustainable agricultural practices and farm management were conducted. Following this, the recommended sustainable agricultural practices were implemented and monitored to measure their impact on farmers' welfare. The results showed an increase in participants' knowledge and skills, farmer empowerment, and the formation of collaborative networks. Recommendations for further research include studies on economic impacts and socio-cultural aspects. Overall, this activity made a positive contribution to local agriculture, improved farmers' welfare, supported sustainable agriculture, and has the potential to become a model for implementing sustainable practices at the community level. Abstract

This Community Service was integrated with the implementation of the KKN program of Suryakancana University in 2023, and there were several differences with the implementation of the previous community programs. This year, students are projected to do community service in the area closest to their houses, with their own work program. This Community Service aims to reintroduce English through learning English vocabulary, especially at the elementary school level, in the fifth grade, with jobs and professional material, at the public elementary school Cibitung 2 Cibokor, using flashcard media. This service involved 5 lecturers and 9 students as the team. It is hoped that this community service can make a significant contribution to improving the quality of English language learning at the elementary school level, especially at SDN Cibitung 2 as well as enriching students' learning experiences in understanding and using new vocabulary. Abstract

Diarrhea is one of the most prevalent gastrointestinal infection health problems globally, including in Indonesia. The total number of diarrhea cases in all age groups is 8.6%, in children under five 12.3%, and in infants 10.6% (Riskesdas, 2018). To reduce the number of deaths from this disease, diarrhea needs to be treated appropriately and immediately. One of the non-pharmacological treatments for diarrhea includes rehydration with oral rehydration saline solution (ORS), avoiding spicy, sour, and coconutty foods, eating little but often, giving zinc preparations, and selective antibiotics. The purpose of implementing this health education is to increase knowledge and understanding of diarrheal disease so that all students can respond properly if a case of diarrhea occurs. The methods used in health education are lectures and discussions. The results of this study showed a significant difference with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 between the pre-test and post-test results. This shows that there is a significant effect on the pre-test and post-test results regarding diarrhea material and prevention methods regarding consuming ORS, doing daily activities given. It can be concluded from the provision of health education to students of SMA Negeri 2 Cimalaka there is an increase in knowledge about diarrhea.

Abstract

Anemia in adolescents is a common health problem, especially in developing countries. The impact of anemia extends beyond the body and impacts a person's productivity and quality of life. Anemia can have a major negative impact on development, both physical and cognitive, academic achievement, and quality of life. Implementation of health education activities uses the lecture method using PowerPoint media and leaflet media prepared by the health education activities team. This health education aims to increase children's awareness of detecting anemia early so that they can recognize anemia early and of course, can prevent anemia from an early age. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference in anemia knowledge between before and after health education. Keywords: Adolescents, Anemia, Health Education,

Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is a bacterial infection that can affect any part of the human body, but it often affects the lungs, commonly called pulmonary tuberculosis. Positive behaviors have the effect of assisting the state in stabilizing tuberculosis transmission as much as possible. Objective: Community service is carried out to stabilize the possibility of tuberculosis transmission by monitoring, informing, and educating the community in Cimalaka Sub-district, Sumedang Regency. Methods: The speaker presented the material using lectures and assisted by using leaflets that support the material, then given a pre and post-test. Results:  This Health Education activity shows results based on pre and post-tests that have been carried out there is no increase in the understanding that tuberculosis can be caused by smoking. Conclusion:  Based on the results of the pre and post-tests that have been conducted on respondents, there is an increase in understanding of the signs and symptoms of TB, there is no increase in knowledge that TB cannot be cured within 2 weeks, and respondents already know that bacteria and TB disease can cause TB can be prevented.
